Heroes and Villains are very much similar and opposites in many ways. One is good while the other is bad. Still, they hold incredible power and hold great influence over what they decide to do in the world. In the past, heroes and Villains had quarreled many times over monsters and beliefs.
There is at times one abnormality who only causes chaos and suffering because of insanity. This type of evil is simply unstoppable if there insanity goes beyond reason and beliefs. Heroes and villains would never be able to stop such a soul and there have been many stories of insane souls killing everyone. Luckily, this hasn't been common throughout history, but these souls are the most destructive and cruel beings known to mankind.
Darth, a man who once defeated Zald decades ago, was one of these insane souls. He saw the dungeon's power and knew watching the world burn would be his only satisfaction to his hopeless thoughts. He always grew in power, but it was nothing to the monsters of the world. There would always be a stronger one than the last and it would never stop until his death. He went insane and only showed it when destruction and chaos were caused by these monsters. He is a calm and intelligent man outside, but inside he is wishing everything around him is put to flames and endless death.
He is a powerful man who wants to see the world burn because nobody can save it anymore.
"You call yourself the queen of monsters now, Raine?" asked Darth who easily towered over the queen. "You've grown quite strong, but it's not much if you can't defeat me yet."
"What are you doing here, Darth?" Raine angrily replied. "I don't want to make a deal with whatever nonsense you want."
"Yeah yeah monster girl. I'm only here to get that artifact you found." said Darth, not caring much for what she thinks of him.
"The Ascalon sword? Are you a dumbass? That sword shouldn't be in your hands by any means. It's not like you can wield it anyways." responded Raine, almost childishly.
"What if I give you the Black Dragon's scales in turn?" offered Darth, setting down a bag full of it's scales.
"How on earth did you get these!? That damn dragon didn't just let you have them right!?" yelled Raine in amazement of the scales.
"I didn't fight the damn thing, but it's scales were left at the Dragon Valley. It seemed to have gotten into a battle with another monster because the entire region had been obliterated when I went there." explained Darth.
"Fine, I'll give you the Ascalon sword if it means having those scales." surrendered Raine, not understanding just how much of a rip off this deal is.
The Dragon scales were simply from a monster that looked similar to the Black Dragon. How the fuck would he even survive the aftermath of such powerful monsters anyways? There attacks would literally rot the region for centuries and the dungeon seems to have ordered the Black Dragon to protect it's entrance within the ruins of Orario. Raine had known these were the "Black Dragons Scales" because of how durable it was when testing it. In reality, it was durandal and some average black dragon's scales mixed into this fake representation of the One Eyed Black Dragon's scales.
"Here it is. It's the Ascalon sword which Moros gave to me after forcing him to repay me. That damn god obliterated the main mountain anyways." said Raine, giving Darth the powerful weapon.
"Nice doing business with you than, Raine." smiled Darth.
Darth only knew of the sword's existence after one of his Familia members investigated Moros. The god was able to use arcanum through some loophole, but he also wielded the most powerful sword known in history. He wanted said sword in order to steal the world's last hope in defeating the Black Dragon and other powerful monsters around the world.
"Level 7? That's something." said Loki, looking at Bell's status.
"I mean, I did kill a level 9 monster, why wouldn't I level up?" responded Bell.
"You should've leveled up twice if you killed it alone."

"Supreme charge is a development ability that allows the user to charge against the opponent with improved abilities. It basically allows you to charge at an enemy way stronger than you without much consequence and added power to whatever attack you do against it." explained Loki.
"Cool, but just how strong is it?" asked Bell.
"It says that the first attack in the charge would basically be comparable to an attack 1 level above you. It only works when charging at an opponent for the first time though." answered Loki.
"I have reason to believe it's because I constantly charge at stuff. Makes sense."
Loki had genuinely gotten used to these stupidly powerful skills and development abilities. I mean, ever since the arc of desire skill was formed, it made her children have incredible skills that could defeat an opponent 2 levels higher than them. Sadly, most of said skills take a lot of effort to finally be activated.
"Anyways, Bell, I have to ask, why on earth did you want us to call you a hero? Isn't that too much of a step when you aren't even that strong?" asked Loki.
"Your correct to believe that, but how else will we gain influence on the world? I mean, the Loki Familia coming back is something in of itself, but a hero rising would be so stupid to them that they can't ignore it." explained Bell.
"I can't change your mind now, but a play like that can get us killed. Several evil people had risen to power these couple of months and they seem to be getting stronger by the minute. It still doesn't make sense why Ais and the rest haven't leveled up but you did." reasoned Loki, trying to figure out Bell's true goal in all of this.
"Ah, well, we'll simply defeat them." shrugged Bell, ignoring the last comment. "I don't know what to tell you goddess, you should know more about heroes than we do."
Loki was overall worried for just how stupid this all sounded. They return and suddenly declare there going to create a hero. That is news that makes them an instant target to all those who want the world to end at this point. This also brings the danger of being seen as fools and idiots. Not like that matters anymore.
"Ugh, just don't die. You created this mess, so you better not leave my Familia in shambles afterwards." responded Loki, sounding defeated in this conversation.
"I won't." Bell replied.
"They want us to kill that monster? Are they idiots? That monster is literally level 7!" angrily said Welf.
"We can't do much about it captain." sighed Lili, giving him the request.
"Does Hestia know of this?" asked Welf.
"Yes, she said that as much as you'll hate it, we have to do it." answered Lili.
Lili only joined the Familia when she arrived at Beltane. She lost her falna when Soma was suddenly sent back to heaven. Lili didn't know what to do afterwards and decided to simply head East until she her fate was decided. Luckily for her, Beltane was the location she was heading towards. They allowed her in because of her insignificance to basically anything and she soon joined the Hestia Familia when she requested to join them. They gladly accepted it and she soon became level 2 with sheer commitment and determination to rise to become the best she could for the Familia. Welf saw her as there best strategist and possibly best member in terms of productivity and influence. She still hadn't gotten over her hatred of fellow adventurers though.
"Those bastards sure as hell know how to anger us." said Welf, being forced into an impossible task. "Get the preparations ready, we're going to kill that monster with everything we have. If even one of us dies, I'm going to cause hell for this guild."
This level 7 monster is known as the 'God Slayer' for the same reason it's been seen killing gods when it first escaped the dungeon. It's similar to the Behemoth in terms of size, but it's appearance takes that of a Minotaur with a shark head. It walks on all fours and had many spikes running down it's front legs. It had a tail also made of similar spikes. It's main body was gray and it's spikes were similar to that of a minotaur's horns. It arrived at Beltane when running away from another monster that easily could've killed it.
The Nidhogg, a great monster that once held the most power outside of the dungeon. The Black Dragon, Leviathan, and Behemoth soon came out to make that great monster inferior. Still, it took 6 spirits to destroy it nonetheless. It's a dragon type monster and could easily be seen as one of the largest monsters behind the Leviathan and Behemoth.
It was reborn as soon as the dungeon erupted and was given even more power and strength than it already had. It was the size of an entire town at this point and was said to be level 10 and higher. Fortunately, it hasn't done much in the world besides create environments full of endless flames. It resided in the west, but it soon decided to head East, where Darth and his Familia would soon meet the majestic and powerful monster. There weren't many level 10 monsters around, but the amount was surprisingly high compared to the past.
"Darth, you have to be joking. The Nidhogg, an ancient powerful monster, is alive?" asked Aphrodite, standing next to the large man.
"Goddess, just look for yourself." replied Darth.
They were at the splitting mountains before spotting the ancient monster. They had no chance of killing it even with the Ascalon sword. It was simply too damn big and could destroy an entire mountain with ease if it wanted. They could only watch it as the Nidhogg obliterated a part of the mountain range besides them.
"We are not fighting that thing." said Darth.
It's golden scaled body burned through the landscape as it headed towards the East. It's destination is unknown, but many are destined for death. Aphrodite and her Familia can only watch as it's golden flames burned through all. Darth only wished that it headed towards Altena, but his wishes would not be granted.
Author's Note:
Quite the small chapter, but I rushed the last one so many things had to be thought through for this one. Anyways, I'm getting a bit more comfortable with how I write, so expect more chapters in shorter time periods if I can have free time for once. The first couple of chapters will always curse me, but I must live with it sadly. I don't want to rewrite the entire story if this was only a sort of test run for me.
The levels are all over the place, but just know one thing: people can level up way faster and monsters are way stronger to balance that. I'm talking around 1 year on average to level up from 2-3 and above. It only slows down at around level 4-6 because of the low amount of monsters at that level. I messed up on the part of not leveling up the Loki Familia on that level 9 fight, but what can I do now. Hopefully I can make it up with some other fights that happen in the future.
Also, I'll try and explain everything about the Hestia Familia in the next chapter. My brain already knows what to do, it's just the execution that must be done right.
On a more serious note, I think I'm going to dip the story for a bit and go write some romcom stuff. Don't get me wrong, I would probably kill myself before doing that, but if I really do want to make a story more interesting and entertaining, you need some romcom. I researched about the fellow authors around here and noticed that romance and comedy prospers here rather than some world building outside the main story.
It's expected from a great light novel like this, and I don't want to simply be known as the guy who made an alternate universe story without any romance or much comedy in it to make it more interesting. Heroes is one I'm fond of because of it's world building combined with romance and some comedy. That's the type of story I want to create, but I can't if I don't have any experience in romcoms.
