In the living room, all the kids were playing and hanging out, except Cameron, who had hidden in the toy chest, Mike and Zoey were outside near the toy chest.
"Cameron, please come out and play" Zoey said, worried about her friend, "I can't!" Cameron said from inside, "Not after what I know." "You mean Dakota?" Mike hinted, "Yes, she treats us like that, but you don't have to lock yourself away like this at all."
"But what can I do?" Cameron got out of the trunk sadly, "She's a big mutant with super strength, and I'm just a kid barely out of her plastic bubble of oxygenated air." Cameron just sighed in defeat, "I'll just sit in the reception area until it's all over there" he walked to the exit door, "And this is probably my first and last day here, so...bye guys" he locked himself in the door , leaving Mike and Zoey with sad faces
"Attention kids!" The Chef called from the kitchen, "It's game time, play while I prepare delicious cupcakes for you, and after that your parents will come to pick you up" he returned to the kitchen, leaving the children excited

Mike excused but it wasn't enough, "To the penalty box, now" Chef ordered Mike, who simply frowned as he sat in the penalty corner next to Dakota, "Dakota, your punishment is over, you can go" Dakota He smiled at this, and blew a mocking raspberry at Mike as he walked away.
Zoey reached into her trunk and pulled out a plastic crown, "A crown, we can play knights and queens" at that, Dakota snatched the crown from her as she put it on her head, "Thank you, I'll be your queen, I'm already the same ". "Um, hello…" Cameron greeted shyly as he began to speak normally, "I need help, I'm at the Sunshine Daycare in Toronto, there's a girl altered by chemicals, she's a powerful and dangerous mutant, I need help from… keep it under control"
"Thanks for calling us, our team will be there immediately" the answering machine indicated, Cameron smiled and replied, "Woah, thank you very much!" He hung up the phone but when he turned around, he found Dakota with a face full of total anger, which made him scream in fear.
Everyone in the room was playing, until the front door opened and Cameron was thrown away to land hard on the floor, when Dakota walked in staring at him, "Look everyone!" Dakota exclaimed to all the children, "This traitor just called the authorities, and he just ratted me out on my secret!" "Oh dude, didn't you just do that?" Lightning said nervous and scared just like the others
"I did what I had to" Cameron protested, glaring at Dakota, "You are a dangerous monster for society, you must be caged." Dakota got even more furious at those strong words, "Well guess what? I'm the queen of this daycare, and I decide who to cage, guys, grab it!". Soon, Scott and Jo forcibly restrained Cameron and hung him by his arms to the ground, "Sir Sam," Dakota called to Sam, "I order you to execute this traitor by the head, now," Zoey gasped horrified as did Cameron, Sam walked right up to him, holding his sword

Dakota looked around and saw the other children agree and staring at her, she just frowned angrily, "Well..." with that she took the crown she was wearing and threw it away, while closing her eyes, "Ok, if you don't consider me you're queen anymore, so I'm going to become the monster..." he opened his now yellow and red eyes, and all the children knew that he was coming
Dakota at that moment began to change, and in a couple of seconds he changed into his giant mutant form, terrifying the majority that were there, suddenly the kitchen door opened, with Chef holding a tray with freshly baked cupcakes, "Alright, have I sprinkled it yet?" Dakota soon roared at Cameron, so loud it made him get up, "Run for your life, dude!" Lightning yelled at the little guy, and he really knew he had to run and he ran to the patio door, he stopped for a breath, but it was all little as Dakota climbed out the window, destroying it, and without any harm to her, "You can run, but don't hide, shorty!" She roared angrily, Cameron yelled as she ran again and headed for the swing, Dakota ran fast to hit him, but when he did he was already on the swing, and when he hit hard, he made the swing swing very high and back. back, launching the bubble boy onto the roof of the daycare

Zoey screamed in horror, covering her eyes. Suddenly, Mike looked at the ground and saw Cameron's small backpack lying there, he grabbed it and yelled up, "Cameron, catch!" He tossed the backpack towards him, and luckily, Cameron was able to get both hands out to catch it and open it, "Uh, what are you doing?!" Dakota snarled angrily, glaring at him, Cameron just took out a tube with a substance and smiled heroically at the mutant, "My mom always sends me a tube full of vitamin C, made to cure all ills in the body" he explained proudly, "And now you need some of this!" He popped the concoction into his mouth, causing him to drink it all. Dakota dropped Cameron to the ground, being caught by Mike and Brick
Dakota began to walk dazedly across the roof while clutching her stomach in pain, and suddenly she stepped on the edge and fell from the roof, crashing into one of the cars in the parking lot, crushing it, but little by little it was seen how she returned to the normal, more or less, he returned to his small stature, but his skin and hair were still orange and green, as were his eyes and small mutant tail.
The kids came outside and saw Dakota grunt in pain in the car, "Cameron, what you did was incredible!" Said Mike proudly to his friend, "Yeah, you beat Dakota, now we're free!" It was shown how a couple of people in hazmat suits looked at Dakota, while one of them was holding her with tongs, "It's surprising" he said holding her, "This girl must have been mutated by chemical waste, it will be a good study material in our laboratory"
"Um, you're not going to tell my daddy anything? Right?" Dakota asked slightly scared and nervous, "Oh, of course we'll tell him", the other one answered, "You're in big trouble when he comes with us, where we'll lock you up with monsters like you" they literally threw her into their truck, locking her up in the cage, as she stuck her head out of the bars
"NO, WAIT!" She exclaimed in fright, "I'm not a monster..." then she started talking sweetly as her eyes widened, "I'm just a little pretty misunderstood mutant girl...". "Just take her away" Cameron said already annoyed, then the truck started to shift as Dakota started yelling as she pulled further away, "No, this can't be happening to me, DADDY!". As he left, the childrens cheered
"It was finally time someone got rid of daddy's girl," Jo smirked, "Nice job bubble boy, not bad." Suddenly, the Chef came out the door, "Kids, are you okay?!" He asked nervously, "Dakota had turned into a monster, right?!"
"Yeah, that was it," said Mike, "But there's no need to worry about her anymore." Cameron looked at Chef carefully, "Wait, there's something I want to know, how did you keep biohazardous chemicals in a children's area?" They all looked at Chef and he just chuckled, "I had things to do..."
An alarm sounded on his watch, "Alright, kids" the Chef said to everyone, "The day is over, wait for your parents and..." he noticed something strange, "Where's Sam?" "I think it's gone" Scott said with a shrug, "Again?!"
On the road, Dakota looked sad as the truck took her away, however, she heard Sam trying to reach her, "Dakota!" Sam called as he ran as far as he could, he took something out of his pocket and threw it to her for her to catch, she saw it and it was a heart made of building blocks, she noticed Sam giving her a thumbs up smiling, she gave it back the sweet smile, "Aw, thanks!" She said goodbye before walking away, Sam simply stopped to look at her from afar, shrugging his shoulders, "Ok, time to go home..." he started to walk back but a car passed by fast, making him stagger dizzy from the street
The same car stopped in the parking lot near the daycare, the driver got out of the car and it turned out to be Cameron's mother, "Cammy-bear!" she called worriedly, when Cameron ran to her and hugged her legs, "Mom, I'm here!" The boy said happily when he was reunited with his mother, "Cameron, are you okay? I saw a truck leaving the nursery and I was afraid something bad had happened to you."
"Nah, I'm fine, ma, I'm more than fine to see you, and guess what? I made some new friends!"
"Really?"
"Yes, this is Mike and Zoey" the two greeted their friend's mother, "It's good to see them" the mother said proudly, "I'm sure you had a good time, but are you sure you're staying? I could drop my shift"
"Yes, I want to stay here every day!" Cameron said cheerfully, "And you know what? I also decided to burst my bubble!"
"It's good that you decide that" said the mother, "Oxygenated air is very expensive today, I'm glad you're so brave" she put him in his car in his chair, he looked at his friends again, "I suppose we'll see you tomorrow Zoey said happily, "See you later, Cam" Mike said goodbye.
"Goodbye guys, it's been an honor meeting all of you!" Cameron said goodbye too, when the car started and he looked out the window and walked away from the nursery, the place did the impossible, he fought with mud, played with real toys, faced a mutant and most importantly, he made new friends and dreamed With new adventures coming in the next few days, until now, the time for playing was over.
