A Lending Hand

Kazama family home, Yakushima Island, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan…

Urenna soon followed Jun Kazama back to her home island of Yakushima. In order to fight a mighty force like Hehachi Mishima, Jun felt is necessary to practice her inner silence and listen closely to what mother nature wanted her to do against such a destructive person. Jun visited her parents graves within the forest first. She stayed there for 10 minutes before walking towards the family home across the marshy pond.

Watching from above the trees was Urenna. The kunoichi was rather curious of Jun's past. She wondered how Jun was so calm and yet possessed enormous ki spirit. Even though the women said that they would meet again after the tournament, Urenna felt the need to make her presence known. Mainly out of curiosity. Would Jun be upset that Urenna found her home and make her leave? Just remembering the fight her master had against Heihachi, Urenna did not want Jun to be killed by him. Whatever advice Urenna had for Jun, she wanted to let Jun hear it.

As Jun approached the front door of her home, she stopped dead in her tracks. She placed her duffel bag to the side and slowly began turning her head to the left. Jun could see that Urenna made herself visible to her as the kunoichi walked toward her direction. Jun kept her composure very relaxed and simply asked her an obvious question.

Jun: "It's you again. Are you still doing your job?"

Urenna: "Yes…I am."

Jun: "Is that so? Well…would you like come in?"

Urenna: "Come in?"

Jun; "Yes…you traveled all this way. You should rest your legs. I will do the same." (Going inside the house.)

Urenna: "I…don't believe it."

Inside the house…

Jun: "Have a drink."

Urenna: "What is this?"

Jun: "My mother's recipe. It's a local delicacy. Sencha tea. Try it."

Urenna (Drinks it.): "Wow! It's sweet!"

Jun (smiles.): "Yes…the leaves from the planation is very rich in nutrients. So I think that is why it tastes that way."

Urenna: "I appreciate this. I take it those graves back there were your parents?"

Jun: "Yes. Mother died first when I was only 4. She succumbed to cancer. Dad died 2 years ago from natural causes."

Urenna: "Oh. I…had a family once too…until a murderer took them away from me."

Jun: "May I ask where are you from?"

Urenna: "West Africa. Nigeria…to be specific."

Jun: "Ohh…I have not traveled there yet. I didn't know it was so dangerous. So how did you become a ninja?"

Urenna: "The United Nations saved me from the war that happening in my homeland. And my caretaker was working for them. He felt it necessary to learn his way of ninjitsu. So, he brought me to live and train under him in Japan and I have been working on behalf of my master ever since."

Jun: "Your life was full of challenges. And continues to be so. I am sure your master wants you to take his place as the head of his clan family. Am I right?"

Urenna: "Yes. We have several new disciples after me. I wonder if we can stay together for as long as we can. Because we lost all our family. The clan is all we know. I'm the only one who can remember my old family because I was seven when I started living here. It is a big task for me to lead the clan if something does happen to our elders."

Jun: "You have more than 1 leader?"

Urenna: "We have a leader, but there is a woman too. She helped to look after us while our leader did missions, for money and to maintain our way of life."

Jun: "Perhaps one day…I would like you meet your clan. If I am not working of course."

Urenna: "You would? I…would be honored Jun."

Jun (Sipping her cup.): "It's no problem. After we drink, I can show a little more of the area around my home. The day is still young. Are you interested?"

Urenna: "Sure…I don't mind."

Jun: "Very well."

After the tea, Jun showed Urenna more of the landscape surrounding her family home. From a nearby tea plantation operated by a family friend, to the waterfall heading across the mountain valley. It certainly had a more exotic feel compared to the ninja compound back in Kyushu. Urenna felt relaxed on this island. She wondered how her ninja family would feel about such a place. By the time, they returned near the home, Jun turn to Urenna once more and asked for a request.

Jun: "My next fight will put my resolve to the test. Raven, can you please show me some of your moves? Perhaps I can learn some of them and use them against Hehiachi. Do you have to go now?"

Urenna (Raven): "No…I don't have to leave. And if you need my help, then I will be glad to show some of my techniques."

Jun (bowing.): "Thank you. You have my undivided attention."

Urenna: "Alright then…I can tell you how you can tip the scales against someone like Heihachi. Now listen closely."

Two days later, Heihachi Mishima residence and temple, Nara Prefecture, Japan…

Urenna taught Jun some moves and tips on how to counter Heihachi Mishima's dangerous punches. In exchange, Jun taught Urenna various aikido style throws from her family's fighting style. It was unlike anything Urenna was taught before in her ninjitsu training. Jun felt more at ease by Urenna's presence. The two ventured back to mainland Japan by boat as they traveled to Nara prefecture. It would be where the next match would take place in Heihachi's home.

It was in the early afternoon hours, the women met up with Zaibatsu soldiers just outside the home. Urenna was allowed inside the residence. This did not matter for her since she could sneak in unnoticed. Jun Kazama was led into the Mishima temple where Heihachi awaited patiently while sitting in meditation. Little did Urenna know Hide was also watching this fight. He eventually made his presence known to Urenna as he appeared to her from within the darkness.

Hide: "Urenna. You made it."

Urenna (Turns to her right.): "Huh? Master? You are here too?"

Hide: "Of course. Our targets are in one location now. So it makes sense that we would cross paths under this situation."

Urenna: "I did what I could to get Jun ready for this battle, but Heihachi is so strong. I got a bad feeling he could kill her should he win."

Hide: "Perhaps, but I don't believe Heihachi is that heartless. He is filled with ambition and I think his sole drive is to get rid of his son who he fills is too far gone as a human being. Should Heihachi win this tournament, we don't know if he will cease the warmongering that the Zaibatsu is doing right now."

Urenna: "Hmmm…I trust your judgement master. Let's see what happens."

The temple remained dark under the roof as Jun Kazama began to approach Heihachi in a calm but nervous manner. She was usually composed against all of her opponents, but against someone as intimidating as Heihachi Mishima, trying to survive and win against him would be no easy task. Heihachi was undefeated in the tournament much like his son and even Paul Phoenix. Those two men would fight the next day.

Hide: "The match is about to begin."

Urenna (thinking): "Be careful Jun. I hope the counterattack I showed her will work on someone like Heihachi. Only one way to find out."

Tekken Official: "Fighters ready? Begin!"

Heihachi (Folding his arms): "Hmph. Show me what you are made of…Jun Kazama." (Grinning.)

Jun (In her mind): "If I knew better…I would think that he has the Devil power inside of him, but I do not sense that at all. However, he has no problem killing me based on his ki level and expression. I must go on the offensive. Here I go!"

Jun dashed at Heihachi and threw as many as ten strikes directed towards him. The last strike grazed the old man's cheek while he did a spin move to avoid the hit. Jun slid away from Heihachi and regained her stance. Heihachi commended her for striking him.

Heihachi: "Hmph. It seems I underestimated your speed." (Wiping the blood off his cheekbone.) "Do you care to see mine?"

Suddenly Heihachi dashed at Jun with one of his powerful Demon Uppercuts. Jun blocked the attack but the sheer power and electrical ki made her stagger backwards several feet. The impact froze her body just long enough for Heihachi to kick her in the midsection with a flying sidekick. Jun hit the deck by rolling several times before stopping. Urenna looked on with great concern.

Urenna: "Jun…"

Hide: "Not so loud."

Urenna: "I can't help it."

Jun got right up but Heihachi came again with fierce strikes. Jun avoided them with precise parries until she got a hold of Heihachi's wrist and successfully did the Kazama style Wind Wheel over the shoulder toss. Heihachi hit the deck hard. Jun tried to punch him, but Heihachi blocked the attack and responded with an overhead kick, hitting Jun's forehead. Heihachi got up and he was not happy.

Heihachi: "You little wench!"

Heihachi grabbed Jun by her white shirt and smashed her head with his famous Stonehead attack. Jun's head was in more pain after that hit. Heihachi then connected with a Lightning Uppercut with the left hand, hitting the girl's face. Urenna had to look away after seeing the brutally of Heihachi's hits. Jun was bleeding, but she was not out of the fight. Not if she could help it.

Jun returned to fighting stance, much to Heihachi's amusement. Heihachi went on the offensive again, throwing one big strike after another while Jun deflected the attacks or dodged them. Jun waited for the left hook to duck under and then she countered perfectly with her Three Ring Circus combo finishing off with a strong spinning hook kick to the jaw. Heihachi spun around from the impact. Jun did an aerial style kick over the top of Heihachi's head as he fell on his knees.

Urenna (watching): "Yes!"

Jun slid back at bit as being not too hasty to try and knock out Heihachi. The older man rose back up as he kept grinning. Heihachi was starting to see why Kazuya had some affection for her. Her resolve to fight was like that of Kazumi, Heihachi's deceased wife. The main difference was that Jun was not as fierce as Kazumi, thus her attacks had less lethal intent. Heihachi will make this very apparent to Jun.

Heihachi: "What's wrong? You had a chance to finish me, but you hesitated. Why?"

Jun: "I do not take the lives of others. It goes against our family teachings."

Heihachi: "Hmph. Interesting. What if I decided to kill you right here and now?"

Jun: "Say what you will, but I plan to stop you and help Kazuya!"

Heihachi: "Kazuya is beyond helping you foolish girl! Leave him to me!"

Jun: "No! You mustn't fight him! He is your son!"

Heihachi: "Mishima family matters is of no concern of yours! Ccccchhhheeaaaaahhhh!"

Heihachi stomped in his middle stance and powered up his ki. Within seconds he was amped up for another attack at Jun Kazama. He came dashing with a super fast iron palm attack that Jun managed to block, but the impact pushed her back while breaking down her defense. She was left wide open without recovering. Heihachi spun his body around twice and connected another light screw uppercut in the midsection of Jun. Jun flew in midair as Heihachi jumped to catch her and performed a power bomb! The impact literally shook the entire temple. Urenna and Hide looked on with great awe and concern.

Heihachi let go of Jun after the impact was over. Her body collapsed motionless. The referee came over to start the countdown. Urenna nearly blew her cover by yelling out to Jun, but Hide was there to stop it. He covered Urenna's mouth as he summound a teleport jutsu just in time. Heihachi heard a faint noise from behind, but thanks to the darkness, he could not where it had come from. Hide and Urenna reappeared in a forest just outside the temple grounds.

Urenna: "Master! What are you doing?"

Hide: "Keeping us from being discovered, that's what."

Urenna: "Please don't die Jun! I wish she had to use the counter move I caught her, but it seems Heihachi was just too powerful."

Hide: "Hang on…" (Sensing Jun's ki was still present, but Heihachi's was going away.) "She is still alive."

Urenna: "Can we go back and see?"

Hide: "Yes, but you must keep silent, no matter what, are we clear?"

Urenna: "Yes master. I'm sorry."

Hide: "Come."

Going back inside the temple, Hide was correct. The match was over. Heihachi had won against Jun Kazama. Jun was being tended by Zaibatsu medics. They carefully place her on a stretcher to be led into an ambulance. Urenna was definitely not happy with the outcome.

Urenna: "I will follow them master. I want to make sure they don't try anything to her."

Hide: "Very well. I will report to HQ and stay here until nightfall. Once you find out Jun's health status, it is best you return to the compound."

Urenna (Sigh.): "Understood."

Urenna left the Mishima family estate with a heavy heart. She found the ambulance in which Jun Kazama was inside of. Urenna quickly hopped on top of the vehicle before the soldiers could notice her above the trees. The ambulance was going to the main hospital in the city of Nara. The trip took 1 hour. Urenna got off the truck and patiently waited for the medics to begin treatment on Jun. As they were treating Jun, Urenna managed to sneak in the hospital and found some clothing to use. She put the clothing on in disguise as a nurse worker while using a facemask. Soon, she found a billboard on a wall with the names of the hospital patients. Jun's name was just added. She was placed in the 5th floor level. Urenna would find it and simply waited at a nearby lounge until Jun was inside her room. When the coast clear, Urenna snuck inside.

Jun was still unconscious. Nothing of foul play happened to her. Urenna was at least relieved. She could not stick around to speak with Jun, but Urenna decided to use a nearby piece of paper and pen to write down a message. Once Urenna wrote her message, she would tuck it under Jun's pillow and depart. Hopefully they would meet again at some point.
