As Bell finished his plate of spaghetti, he noticed a man sitting down opposite him. The man had short, spiky black hair, warm brown eyes, and an aura of normalcy that seemed to exude from him. His appearance matched his alias, giving the impression of an ordinary individual.
With a slight smile, the man extended his hand towards Bell. "Name's Raul Nord," he introduced himself, his voice tinged with a mix of nerves and sincerity.
Bell couldn't help but notice the nervousness in Raul's demeanor, which mirrored his own. Gathering his courage, he shook Raul's hand firmly. "I'm Bell," he replied, his voice equally nervous but filled with a sense of camaraderie.
As their hands clasped, a spark seemed to pass between them, an unspoken understanding that they were both adventurers navigating the unknown, each with their own story to tell.
As Bell and Raul sat opposite each other, there was an air of hesitation and nervousness in Raul's demeanor. He took a moment to collect his thoughts before finally speaking up. "Um, excuse me, but... are you like me?" Raul asked, his eyes darting around nervously.
Bell looked puzzled, unsure of what Raul meant. "Like you? What do you mean?" he inquired, trying to understand.
Raul fidgeted with his gloves, searching for the right words. "I mean... did you also find a Golden cup recently? And now there's this voice in your head that talks to you?" he clarified, his voice tinged with uncertainty.
Bell's eyes widened in surprise, a mix of curiosity and realization dawning on him. "Wait, you found a Golden cup too? And you have a voice in your head?" he asked in astonishment.
Raul nodded, his nervousness easing slightly as he found someone who could relate to his experience. "Yes, exactly! I was exploring a dungeon, and I stumbled upon this mysterious Golden cup. And ever since then, there's been a voice in my head," he explained, his words pouring out in relief.
Bell's heart raced with excitement and wonder. He had thought he was the only one with such an unusual bond. Now, sitting across from Raul, he realized that there was someone else who shared a similar fate.
"I thought I was the only one with a voice in my head," Bell admitted with a smile. "Caster guides me and gives me advice."
Raul looked relieved to find a kindred spirit in Bell. "Likewise! My voice... well, I call him Saber. He's been helpful, but I wondered if was going crazy," he confessed, a hint of vulnerability in his eyes.
"You're not alone, Raul," Bell reassured him earnestly. "Having a voice in your head doesn't make you crazy. Caster has always been my ally, and I trust him completely."
As they continued to talk, their nervousness waned, replaced by a shared sense of understanding. They shared their stories of finding the Golden cup, the strange experiences that followed, and the trials they faced as adventurers.
Caster, who had been listening to their conversation, chimed in with a playful tone. "Well, Bell, it seems you've found yourself a fellow cup-bearer and voice-hearer. Quite the unique duo we are."
Bell chuckled, feeling grateful for Caster's presence in his life. "Yes, we are, Caster. And I'm glad to have Raul as a friend."
Raul smiled warmly, a newfound sense of camaraderie forming between them. "Me too, Bell. It's nice to know I'm not alone in this strange adventure."
As Bell and Raul's conversation reached a natural conclusion, Caster gently reminded Bell of the time. "Bell, don't forget about Wiene and Hestia waiting for us. We should head back," Caster said in his typical playful tone.
Bell's eyes widened, realizing that he had lost track of time during his engaging conversation with Raul. He quickly stood up, giving Raul an apologetic smile. "Sorry, Raul, I need to get back. My familia is probably waiting for me," he explained hurriedly.
Raul nodded understandingly. "No worries, Bell. We can catch up another time. Good luck with your journey," he said, offering a friendly wave.
With a parting nod, Bell rushed back to the church, where he had left Hestia and Wiene. As he entered the pub, he found Hestia standing there with her arms crossed, a playful frown on her face.
"Well, well, look who decided to show up finally," Hestia said, her tone teasing.
Bell's cheeks flushed with embarrassment, knowing that he had kept them waiting. "I'm sorry, Goddess. I got carried away with our talk," he admitted sheepishly.
Beside Hestia, Wiene imitated her with a pout, her eyes filled with mock disapproval. The sight made Bell smile, realizing that Wiene had picked up some of Hestia's mannerisms during their time together.
"I'm sorry, Wiene. I didn't mean to keep you waiting," Bell apologized to the monster, who responded with a playful huff.
Hestia couldn't help but chuckle at the exchange between Bell and Wiene. "Oh, you two. Always causing a ruckus," she said with a fond smile.
Bell couldn't help but feel grateful for Hestia's understanding and Wiene's playful nature. "Thank you for waiting," he said sincerely.
Hestia patted Bell's head affectionately. "Of course, Bell. Now, let's get going. It's night and I have work tomorrow."
As Bell drifted into sleep, he found himself once again in the land of dreams, where Caster was waiting for him. This time, the world around them resembled a vast grass plain, with the golden hues of the setting sun painting the horizon.
Caster greeted Bell with a smile, his presence exuding a calming aura. "Welcome back, Bell. It seems our journey continues in this realm of dreams," he said, his voice echoing with an ethereal quality.
Bell looked around, taking in the serene beauty of the dream world. "It's so peaceful here," he remarked, marveling at the tranquil landscape.
Caster nodded, his eyes gazing into the distance as the sun dipped below the horizon. "Indeed, this place is a reflection of your heart, Bell. A place where you can find solace and understanding."
As they walked together through the grassy plain, Bell recounted the experiences of the day, including his encounter with Raul and the discovery that others had also found the Golden cup.
Caster listened attentively, absorbing Bell's words. "The Holy Grail war you find yourself in is peculiar," he remarked thoughtfully. "It doesn't follow the typical pattern of such wars. Something is amiss."
Bell frowned, feeling a mixture of intrigue and concern. "What do you mean, Caster? How is this Holy Grail war different?" he asked.
Caster paused, his eyes turning serious. "In a normal Holy Grail war, there are seven heroic spirits summoned to compete for the wish-granting Grail. Each master forms a contract with a servant and battles against the others until only one remains," he explained.
"But what we've seen so far is different. The Golden cup appearing out of nowhere, servants being summoned into the body of the Masters and you didn't even receive my physical parameters. This is not how a conventional Grail war is supposed to unfold," Caster continued.
Bell's mind buzzed with questions, his curiosity piqued by the mystery surrounding the Holy Grail war he found himself entangled in. "Do you think there's something more to this war, Caster?" he asked, his voice tinged with a mix of excitement and trepidation.
Caster nodded, his expression serious. "I believe so, Bell. There are hidden forces at play, and this Grail war holds secrets that we've yet to uncover. We must stay vigilant and trust our instincts," he advised.
As the dream world bathed in the soft glow of twilight, Bell and Caster stood side by side, their hearts intertwined in their quest for answers. They knew that their journey was far from over, and that the mysteries of the Holy Grail war would reveal themselves in due time.
