SuperCoffee 3: A Trifecta of Flashbacks
A/N Back again! Yeah probably just going open this one for more updates.
*Flashback* National City, Earth-36 - 2010
When Kara saw for her first time she stopped talking mid-sentence. She pushed her glasses up her nose awkwardly and left Alex standing around confused. She spun around to face the door when she heard the bell ring. But instead of smiling politely and saying, "how can I help you today?" She said, "I help you, how?" Which was an excellent first impression.
Alex cupped her hand over her mouth and tried not to laugh as Kara awkwardly served the brunette. Lena chuckled, "um just a latte and a muffin, I think." Kara was mortified. She looked straight down at the counter and nudged Alex to make the order for her.
"Hi," she tried again. "I'm Kara," she stuck out her hand awkwardly and watched Lena take it. "Can I get a name for your order?"
"Lena. Luthor." She let that sink in for a moment, Kara's mouth fell into a sort of 'oh' shape. She wouldn't normally give out her full name but the barista was cute. "I um, just moved here for college. I'll probably be coming in a lot, maybe this'll be my new favourite place." She looked up at just the right, exquisite second and caught Kara's eye. She smiled like a complete dork.
Alex nudged her, handing over a travel cup with Lena etched upon it in black Sharpie and a bag containing a chocolate muffin. "Go get em tiger," she whispered and shoved Kara forward a little. Kara ignored her and handed over the order. Smiling as she watched Lena leave, a pinning sigh falling from her lips as the door closed behind her.
"So..." Alex said. Kara whipped around, her hair hitting her in the face as she put her head in her hands. She was completely flushed. "Anything you wanna tell me about what just happened?" Kara shot her an embarrassed look.
"How can you just talk to beautiful women everyday and it not be a problem?" She said, but her hands muffled the words.
Alex scoffed and let her blushing sister walk past her into the kitchen where she could 'recover.' "I have a girlfriend."

The second time Kelly came into the shop was just before closing time. She walked up to the counter and smiled when she saw Alex standing there, musing over the bakery menu. "Hey stranger," she said warmly, sidling up beside her. Alex almost jumped, her hand grabbing her heart.
"Oh it's you. Sorry," she mumbled feeling Kelly's hand on hers. Sparks were beginning to fly between them, starburst energy crackling through her as she felt Kelly's skin touching her own. They'd been on a couple of dates, once to a restaurant, once to a museum and once on a picnic. Things were blossoming quickly because Alex was letting the road take her where it wanted to go. And it wanted Kelly. They were supposed to be going out tonight, but Alex had had to work after someone pulled out of their shift at the last minute.
She was still glancing over the menus, trying to decipher why someone thought they were selling ice cream. But Kelly's presence was distracting. She was patient and would wait for her to finish up, but she didn't want to make her wait. She wanted to lean forward and- oh wait she was actually doing it. The menu in her hand dropped to the counter as her hand shifted forward, pulling Kelly's chin towards her. She kissed her lightly, delicately at first to test the waters but it turned quickly to an overwhelming explosion. There was no one in the shop, no one else in sight because they both had their eyes closed.
When Alex pulled away, Kelly said, "what was that for?" The corner of her lips turned up sweetly, her fingers still playing with her girlfriends. Electricity passing between them subconsciously.
"I just missed you. And I'm glad you're here." Alex replied, leaning in and kissing Kelly again, both her hands cupping her cheeks this time, her torso leaning over the counter. "Mm, I don't know why I didn't do that sooner."
"That good huh?" Kelly said jokingly, but Alex looked back at her seriously.
"Yes. There's no one like you Kelly." Kelly blushed and looked down at their hands.
"Alex," she said softly, "there's definitely something here, isn't there?" Alex nodded, they continued kissing for a while, neither one of them wanting to break away from this moment for now. Things were quiet, stable, exciting. Neither of them wanted to break the bubble.

Alex and Kara were sitting on the couch in their shared apartment. "Kara, it's okay." Alex said, but it didn't stifle Kara's tears. They were coming down in thick wet streams now, Kara was trying to talk but it kept coming out in stuttering clumps. "Oh come here," Alex said, pulling her into a hug. Kara gripped her tightly, her tears soaking into the fabric of Alex's shirt, her glasses riding up her nose. She took them off and put them on the coffee table.
"But-but what if-" She mumbled, cutting herself off because she really couldn't think of anything.
"We can tell mom together, if you like." Alex offered, feeling Kara nod against her chest, "right that's settled then. Why don't we get ice cream to celebrate?" She said, Kara peeled away from her and shot her a dangerous look. Then she thought about it and her eyes softened.
"Yeah okay. But dibs on the rocky road." Alex made a face, then got up and walked to freezer to retrieve two tubs of the dairy delight and two spoons. Kara leaned back onto the couch, snatching the tub of rocky road off of Alex quickly before stuffing it into her face.
"So just because your bisexual you get to stuff your face without waiting for me?" Alex said ironically, sitting back down and opening her own tub.
"Too soon," Kara replied, the spoon stuck on her tongue, ice cream dripping down her chin.
