Welcome back. So last time we kicked off the start of the merge, an idol was played and the majority alliance took a hit. And now we're down to the final 10 where the pendelum can swing in either direction. There will also be a fun little twist to the immunity challenge that will cause the players to make a decision for their long term game and another trip to the Temple of Secrets where another player faces a dilemma of their own.
Happy reading!

EPISODE 8: THE CURSED IDOL
Jeff: Previously on Survivor!
Kenny (Confessional): I am back in this game!
Jeff: Kenny found new life after Luke and Lauren spared him at tribal.
Luke: I think you made the right choice.
Lauren: You guys owe me big time.
Jeff: While over on Kornati, Damian found out he was on the outs.
Rachel: I don't really know how else to say this but you dug yourself in to one hell of a hole buddy.
Damian: What the hell do I do now?
Jeff: And the game took a shift once again.
Jeff: Drop your buffs, we are merged.
Everyone was shown celebrating in their new green buffs.
Jeff: And while the game changed, the outsiders remained the same.
Kenny: I only barely survived tribal thanks to Luke and Lauren. Those two have been a big help.
Damian: Yeah Luke and I have been tight since the beginning.
Damian (Confessional): As of right now that looks like the alliance I'll be rolling with.
Jeff: At the immunity challenge, the remaining players were challenged by how much they wanted to win. Until there was only one left.
Jeff: Lauren falls in! Zane wins the first individual immunity!
Jeff: And with his win, faced a decision.
Jeff: You have an important decision to make, who else will get immunity. You will make your decision at tribal council.
Jeff: Back at camp, Nigel faced distrust within his alliance.
Nigel (Confessional): If that wasn't a plot twist and a half, I don't know what is, Sarah has the flipping immunity idol now. I love Kate and all but after today, it's just saying that she's got a lot of hands in more cookie jars than the one I shared with her.
Jeff: And quickly, Kenny took advantage.
Kenny: All you gotta do is tell us who the vote is and we can boot whoever you want. No one knows you have any part in this.
Nigel: Sounds like a solid bet.
Jeff: At tribal council, Kenny wasn't taking anymore chances.
Kenny: My fingers have been holding on to this for long enough.
Jeff: And Jayda took the fall, becoming the first member of the jury.
Jeff: Jayda, the tribe has spoken.
Jeff: 10 are left, who will be voted out tonight?
Intro.
JURONI NIGHT 21.
It was still the middle of the night when everyone reached camp Juroni again. Still in disbelief at how that vote played out.
Andy: I gotta give it to you, that was impressive.
Rachel: How did you know?
Kenny: A magician never kisses and tells.
Nigel: I thought you were a babysitter.
Nigel (Confessional): It was too tempting not to pass up on Kenny's deal. After Sarah's idol was leaked, I wasn't sure if I could trust that group again. So I coulda lobbied for Sarah to leave, having two idols out wouldn't be so bad.
Sarah: That was nerve wracking as all hell.
Nigel (Confessional): But I actually like knowing who has at least one of the idols around here. It's fun. That and Jayda was getting too smart when her popularity shoulda been down the toilet.
Damian: You daredevil you.
Kenny: That was so much fun.
Kenny (Confessional): Easily the best tribal I've been to. After this past week of me having to sit there and watch as others decide my fate for me, only for me to manage to turn tables, I mean there's no other better feeling you can get in this game.
Lauren: Guess those are the lines in the sand then.
Damian: Yeah, they've still got the advantage.
Damian (Confessional): Right now I'm riding it out with Kenny's group but there are still people on the other side I want to at least know I'm still in good with so I'll have to wait and see.
JURONI DAY 22.
Some of the group were up early watching the sunset and getting their breakfast ready. Kate meanwhile only just woke up.
Andy: Hey, birthday girl's up.
Kate: Don't call me that.
Nigel: Birthday girl's becoming a birthday woman.
Kate (Confessional): It's my 20th birthday today. It was a tough choice knowing that I'd be spending it away from my family but getting to spend it living out a dream I've had for years makes it an amazing feeling.
Luke: Hey, happy birthday.
Kate: Thanks guys. Means a lot.
Nigel: You can wear this guy for a bit too.
The comedian then takes off his panda hat and hands it to Kate who laughs and puts it on.
Nigel: That looks a lot better on you.
Kate: Coulda at least washed it.
Nigel: With what? That thing doesn't wash well with salt water.
Kate: Alright, I'll take your word for it.
Damian and Rachel meanwhile were on their way towards treemail.
Damian: How are you feeling?
Rachel: Slightly irritated. Would've preferred last night to have worked out differently.
Damian: I hope you know I would've never let it land on you, I don't know if you would've done the same for me but it's fine either way.
Rachel: I probably would've just let you know before the vote and see what woulda happened from there.
Damian: It's cool if you don't completely trust me.
Rachel: I'm not saying that, it's just it's just trusting you hasn't landed me in the greatest of spots.
Damian: I did vote for you too but that was more Curtis wanting me too than anything else.
Rachel: Yeah, I mean I'm not mad or anything.
Rachel (Confessional): Even though Jayda went home which was someone I was hoping to get on my side, I still think I'm in a good spot. I have an in with just about every side and Damian's my window in to whatever Kenny's up to. I do miss hanging out with him and it is nice to do that when the game isn't in the way.
Damian: Treemail!
Damian called out to everyone who one by one showed up around him as he opened the ominous note.
Damian: "With crates and coconuts, bouncing and breaking, your aim better be good for a day away in the making. One by one, you will line up to shoot, and as one goes to the Temple, we'll see who's next to boot".
Rachel: Dang, the Temple's back in play.
Damian: Mysterious as ever.
Andy (Confessional): The person who goes to the Temple can be decided in all sorts of ways. We just have to make sure that Luke, Kenny, Damian or Lauren end up going since they could use that place to change the tides. Lauren has proven to be a much better player than I thought so having her go there again, it's gonna put my game at risk in less than a second.
REWARD CHALLENGE DAY 22.
Jeff: Come on in guys!
Inside the forest like arena were two stacks of crates with a basket of coconuts on the left of each stack. In front of the stacks were trampolines along with targets with paper liners.
Jeff: You guys ready to get to today's reward challenge?
Sarah: Yes sir!
Damian: Sure am!
Jeff: For today's challenge, you will be divided in to two teams of 5. One at a time, you will race to the top of a stack of crates. You'll throw a coconut, bouncing it off a trampoline, attempting to hit a target. Hit or miss, you race back and then the next person goes. First team to knock out all 5 of their targets, wins reward.
Everyone listened intentely, wanting to know what the reward was.
Jeff: Now, for the winners, they will get to spend the night in a Croatian cabin where you will get a meal, dessert, showers, a bed, a pool, it is the biggest reward of the season.
Zane: Holy crap.
Lauren: That's awesome.
Jeff: In addition, the losing team will all draw rocks to decide who will be spending the night away, at the Temple of Secrets where they will face another decision. Big stakes. We'll draw for teams and get started.
The teams were both decided and were wearing orange and purple bandanas respectively.
Jeff: For Orange, we have Lauren, Kate, Damian, Luke and Andy. For Purple, we have Kenny, Rachel, Sarah, Nigel and Zane. Here we go, for reward. Survivors ready? Go!
Lauren and Kenny were the first two to race out and climb their stacks to reach their coconuts.
Jeff: Lauren and Kenny up first for their teams.
They both threw the first coconuts a couple seconds apart from each other and missed.
Jeff: Like with most challenges we've had, there's a learning curve with this one. You'll figure it out.
They both ran back and tagged out with Kate and Rachel who both took their turns. Rachel had a bit of a lead.
Jeff: Rachel gonna take a shot for Purple.
With both hands, Rachel threw down the coconut which just bounced around.
Jeff: Rachel nowhere close. Kate now up.
Kate ended up similar to Rachel but it just slowly bounced off the trampoline.
Jeff: You're gonna have to really throw these things if you want to hit the targets. Sarah now up.
Sarah managed to hit the center but only barely misses the left target.
Jeff: Sarah, barely misses.
Damian was up next as he also just misses.
Jeff: Damian, just short.
Sarah: *whispers* aim for the center.
Nigel takes a while to climb up a couple crates allowing Orange to make up some time.
Jeff: Nigel's up for Purple.
He tried throwing it as hard as he could but ends up missing the trampoline in the process.
Jeff: Doesn't even hit the trampoline.
And right after, Luke tries throwing his but just hits the border.
Jeff: Luke, closest shot so far.
Zane follows up with another close shot, groaning in annoyance.
Jeff: No love yet in this challenge. Andy's up for Orange.
Luke: Throw it hard.
Jeff: Andy with a big toss.
It takes a couple seconds but Andy does manage to connect.
Jeff: Andy hits the one in the middle! Orange out to an early lead.
Everyone had went at least once so it was now the same order.
Jeff: Kenny back up for Purple. Lauren up for Orange.
Kenny watches Lauren first who misses her shot and then throws his.
Jeff: Kenny connects for Purple! We are tied 1-1! Kate gonna give it another go!
Jeff: Kate taking her time, will it pay off?
A couple seconds later, Kate throws and misses her mark.
Jeff: No! Kate misses again!
Rachel follows up for Purple and manages to connect her second time.
Jeff: Rachel knocks out the 2nd target for Purple! Purple now takes the lead 2-1!
Damian runs up the crates with Sarah making up ground as they both reach the coconuts at the same time.
Jeff: There are 5 targets in total. Purple has both their front ones while Orange has the one in the middle. Let's see if that gives them an edge.
Both throw their coconuts a couple seconds apart and miss but Sarah's hits the edge.
Jeff: Sarah, once again just short!
Luke was now up for Orange who got to the top before Nigel.
Jeff: Luke up again for Orange! Can he connect this time?
Luke slams down the coconut and manages to hit the target on the right.
Jeff: Luke scores! Tied again! 2-2!
Nigel takes a deep breath but hits the edge, causing him to almost get hit by the flying coconut.
Jeff: Nigel, throws it back at himself.
Nigel: Almost caught me in the coconuts, *laughs*.
Rachel: C'mon! We gotta keep up!
Nigel: Okay! Okay!
Jeff: Andy up next! Managed to connect the first time.
He held it above his head with two hands and gives it a toss.
Jeff: Tosses it with two hands...
Andy's coconut barely strikes the target on the left.
Jeff: Andy connects again! Orange ahead now 3-2!
Zane followed right behind and scored right in the middle.
Jeff: Make that 3-3! Zane ties it up for Purple!
Lauren runs up the crates, determined to take the re-take the lead Orange had.
Jeff: Lauren now up. Just misses!
Lauren: Oh come on!
Luke: It's okay, you'll have your chance.
Andy: Guys just throw your coconuts anywhere and let me handle the last couple, it'll be quicker.
Luke: Nah it's fine, let them try their best.
Kenny was now back up to bat as he threw his coconut harder to reach the back two targets.
Jeff: Kenny scores for Purple! Purple with 4, Orange with 3. Big reward on the line! Kate trying again.
Kate took a deep breath as she held her coconut up.
Jeff: Think about what you're doing and launch it!
Kate threw as hard as she could but accidentally hit one of the struck targets.
Jeff: Nope, can't score on the same targets.
Kate: I know that...
Jeff: Rachel now with the shot to win it for her team.
Rachel: Come on...
Rachel chucks her coconut but it went over the remaining target.
Jeff: And overshoots it! That opens the door for Orange to catch up!
Right on cue, Damian was up next, already tired of all the climbing.
Jeff: Damian back up again, struggling to get up those crates.
Damian aimed for his target and managed to break it.
Jeff: Damian ties it up! Orange with 4! Purple with 4! Next target wins it!
Sarah climbs back up as does Luke.
Jeff: Luke catching up to Sarah. Let's see if either of them score!
Luke, in a rush to score that last point, throws his coconut too soon and falls short.
Jeff: Luke, way short. Sarah could win it right here...
Sarah throws her coconut down with one arm as it glides towards the target and hits it dead center. Her team erupts in cheers.
Jeff: Sarah does it! Purple wins reward!
The team all climbs up to hug Sarah except for Nigel.
Nigel: I ain't going up that thing again.
Both teams then regroup back on their mats.
Jeff: Kenny, Rachel, Sarah, Nigel, Zane. Congratulations.
Kenny: Thanks.
Jeff: You will leave here and be taken to the cabin off the coast from the island. You will have beds, a pool, showers and a 3 course meal waiting for you.
Sarah: Actually, Jeff.
Jeff: Yes, Sarah?
Sarah: Is it possible for one of us to trade with one of them so they can go instead?
Jeff: You want to give up your reward?
Sarah: And I can pick?
Jeff: Yeah, you can give it to whoever you want to.
Sarah: As much as I'd love some time away, especially with these people. I think there's someone who needs it more, with today being a special occassion for them.
Kate: *gasp* Are you serious?
Sarah: Take it, you deserve it.
Jeff: Kate, come on over.
Kate: Thank you so much.
The two hugged before they changed groups as Nigel was the only one to hug Kate. The others weren't too pleased.
Jeff: Wow, can't say I've seen something like this. Sarah, explain that. Why make a trade and give up food that is already so hard to come by in this game?
Sarah: I wanna let her enjoy her birthday. She's helped a lot of us in this game so I want to pay her back.
Jeff: Alright, so in giving up your spot before we decided on who visits the Temple, you've also put yourself in that position.
Sarah: That's fine.
Jeff: Alright, so one of the 5 of you are about to spend the next two nights at the Temple of Secrets which is back in play. Let's find out who it is.
Jeff picked up the back of rocks and went around.
Jeff: Don't look until I tell you.
Lauren, Damian, Sarah, Andy and Luke all reached in and chose their rock.
Jeff: Okay. 1, 2, 3, reveal.
Damian looked around as all other rocks were black as his was white.
Jeff: Damian heading to the Temple. How do you feel?
Damian: Not great. Not looking forward to sleeping in that scary, bitey place. But I also like staying in the game so I'll take what I can.
Jeff: Alright, grab your things and head out. You will return in time for the next immunity challenge.
Damian: Have fun guys.
After he heads out, Jeff turns to the winning group.
Jeff: Alright. You 5, boat will pick you up and take you to your new location for the night. Enjoy it.
The group all clapped and cheered as they left the area.
Jeff: Lauren, Andy, Sarah, Luke. Got nothing for you. Grab your things and head back to camp.
Andy: Thanks Jeff...
They all left in a line, some looking more dejected than others.
Andy (Confessional): Had we won that challenge, only Kenny would've been against those other 4 for that trip to the Temple, but Luke wanted to be fair about it. Now we have Damian to worry about and Kenny could easily try and pull something together with that group. I have to make sure everything stays as planned.
TEMPLE OF SECRETS DAY 22.
It had been quite a few days since the Temple had last been visited, making Damian all the more nervous as to what it had in store for him.
Damian: Well this looks creepy.
Damian (Confessional): So far the Temple has actually come in handy as far as my game goes. Kenny got his idol from it and Lauren got to visit our tribe where we got to strike our deal. So I'm stoked to find out what I'm gonna get out of it.
He entered the cave and looked along the long line of clues until he saw the one corresponding to him. Below the message he saw a necklace with a skull on it, reminding him of Exile Island of the previous season.
Section #7 - Day 22 - The Cursed Idol.
You have made it to the halfway point of this game. 8 of you have left and only 10 of you remain, only a couple of you will make it to that final tribal council and this decision could mean the difference between you going all the way or landing you a seat on the jury. This is the Cursed Immunity Idol. It functions the same as a regular immunity idol however it has a deadly twist to it. As soon as you play it, the next time that you are eligible to vote, your vote will be blocked by the curse. If you choose to accept this, you will have 4 tribal councils to play it, otherwise the idol expires and you not only lose your vote but your chance to compete in the following immunity challenge. Or, you can just leave it and it becomes available for the next person. This can be played for you or anyone else. Good luck and remember, choose wisely.
Damian: Wow, can't say I expected that.
He glanced down at the skull.
Damian (Confessional): Right now my alliance is down in numbers so they probably need this but they also need my vote so this can be taken either way. And doing the math in my head, if I leave it as it is by final 7, I lose my chance to compete in the final 6 immunity challenge which is a major disadvantage and means I'm pretty much dead man walking unless another idol saves me.
Damian: I probably need that idol at this point. It might bite me further in the game but I also want to make sure I actually make it further in the game.
He sighs and glances up and gives it one last thought.
Damian: Dammit, you can't win this game if you don't take chances. I've decided to accept the cursed idol.
After making his decision, Damian reaches forward and takes the necklace, putting it around his neck.
Damian: If I play this earlier then it helps my vote but I can also play it later when safety counts more, it's a toughie to weigh up.
Damian (Confessional): Whether I made the right choice or not, we'll find out soon but it feels good knowing that we have some power we can work with.
He steps out of the cave and gets to work on making a fire.
Damian: Gonna hate having to spend 2 nights here.
CROATIA CABIN DAY 22.
Rachel, Kenny, Kate, Nigel and Zane all arrived at the Cabin. They looked around and saw a giant pool as well as a 5 bedroom cabin with a games room.
Zane: Holy crap! This is awesome!
Kate (confessional): I'm so excited to get to have gone on this reward. And on today too, my 20th birthday. I'm just ready to cut loose and relax, enjoy this while it lasts.
After everyone scattered, Rachel and Kenny were left in the living room.
Nigel: I'm gonna go check out the pool.
Kate: Yeah, should beat going in to the ocean
Rachel: I'm so fucking pissed they gave that to her. Yeah, it's her birthday. Big deal! You still lost the challenge.
Kenny: I mean, I'm one for believing you fight to earn what you win, you don't get it traded for you. It's pathetic.
Kenny (confessional): I've wanted Kate out ever since we merged. She just ditched me to be in with the majority along with Nigel. And now she gets both the immunity and reward just given to her? That's just princess treatment to me. And she's no princess
Zane, who was in the bedroom next door, heard all of this.
Zane (confessional): So I was laying down for probably my fourth nap in a comfy bed so far, then I hear a screaming lunatic which others have referred to as Rachel.
Rachel: And here's the thing, I've proved myself time and time again in challenges and people don't give me credit. People have given her way more attention over one day than I have for what I've done for the Kornati tribe the whole time.
Kenny: Yeah same here. People just want me out because I'm apparently sketchy to them. But I've kinda had to play like that since the start.
Rachel: I think it's ridiculous but I get both sides of it. Her time will come soon.
Zane then got up and went out to the pool where Kate and Nigel was.
Kate: Hey, what's up?
Zane hopped in the pool with them.
Zane: So not to intentionally disrupt this peaceful afternoon but those 2 are talking about you.
Kate: Who? Kenny and Rachel?
Zane: Yep. Talking about you not deserving the reward and stuff. That you are just still in this game because of you living off the kindness of others. It was a lot to take in. I just had to say something.
Kate: Whatever, they can think what they want. I can't wait to see both of them gone.
Nigel: That's what happens when peoples true colors come out. They get butthurt about the stupidest shit.
Kate: Why couldn't we have had Sarah and Lauren with us instead of those two? I'm about to go off on her.
Nigel: I'm not saying don't do it but...
Kate: Screw it. These people want to start drama over something stupid. I'm just gonna try and squash this so that we can enjoy our time here.
Kate got out of the pool to dry off while Nigel followed shortly.
Zane (confessional): Was not expecting that to go down like it did but I can't complain.
Kate and Nigel then met up with Rachel and Kenny in the kitchen, they each had a wine glass waiting for them at the table.
Kate: Hey guys, while we're all here. I just want to say that I don't want there to be any drama with how the challenge was handled. Sarah made her choice and that's that.
Kenny: It wasn't anything personal on my end.
Rachel: I mean it's fine that she made her choice and all, I just think in the spirit of competition, there's no point in having the challenge if the same person was gonna go from both teams.
Kate: That it though? Cause I heard a bit more
Kenny: Like what?
Kate: Like how you were both saying I was living off the kindness of others and some other things that I got really confused and hurt about.
Rachel shook her head and then stood up with her wineglass, furious.
Rachel: Alright, who do we have to talk to to get this out the way. Was it you who said it?
Nigel: What did I do?
Kate: Leave Nigel out of this. It's fine, honestly.
Rachel: No, it ain't fine. Who do we have to talk to? Unless this is something you yourself made up!
Kate: I'm just disappointed that you didn't come up to me with that.
Kenny: Well we didn't want to ruin your day.
Kate: Maybe you should just stop saying stuff about other people then.
Nigel: Guys chill, if I didn't say it, there's only one other person who did. I'm sure you all passed math class.
As if right on cue, Zane came inside and was met with glares from Kenny and Rachel.
Rachel: You shit stirrer.
Zane: Hello to you too.
Rachel: I'm not playing your game, you wanna go and cause stuff just for the fun of it.
Zane: Not my fault you were talking loud enough for the entire cabin to hear.
Rachel: Stop trying to make shit happen, I'm over it. I don't care what you're trying to do.
Zane: I'm just not trying to be two faced about it.
Rachel: There's no two face, what happens, happens, you do something or you don't do something.
Kenny: Let me make something real clear, you don't own me, you don't speak for me, I ain't your little puppet.
Zane: Oh here we go with twisting words again.
Rachel: You know what's funny? I know if those two would say something, you would come to us. This is absolutely you going back and forth all the damn time.
Zane: The hell do you mean all the time? We've been together for 3 days.
Rachel: Three days too long, that's for sure.
Nigel: Guys can we just chill out and try and enjoy Kate's birthday?
Rachel: Getting on my damn nerves.
Kate: Stop it. We're here, let's relax. We can squash this when we get back tomorrow.
Nigel (Confessional): This is what the cat fight drug in, everyone's out with their claws out and I don't think the wine helps. You don't wanna hussle with a drunk, you'll always lose.
The food was all ready for them to consume and everything felt tense. Zane felt many eyes burning in to his skull.
Zane (Confessional): Talk about an awkward thanksgiving dinner, I'm just thankful I didn't end up with any black eyes. I thought this would help us squash everything and move forward. Guess I coulda handled that better.
Kenny: That was some good stuff.
Kate: What's for dessert?
Kenny: Hopefully nothing messy. I still haven't had my shower yet.
Kenny (Confessional): This was exactly what I needed. If I can egg on this whole Rachel and Zane feud on then there's a chance it can save me for another vote.
JURONI DAY 22.
With only 4 of the 10 castaways back at camp, this made the food situation for the day easier. They were all gathered around with their rice.
Luke: This is only making me think of the feast. Dang, that woulda been nice.
Andy: I did offer to make the rest of those shots.
Luke: Yeah, I know you did. I just didn't think it was fair on everyone else.
Lauren: I'm all for winning as a team and would've loved to make those shots.
Sarah (Confessional): I made my decision to step down from the reward based off of need. This was something I didn't really need and I thought would be a chance for Kate to build a better standing with that alliance while getting to enjoy her birthday. I'm just hoping it's not a decision I'll regret later on.
Sarah: You guys were really close. Just one of those things that happened.
Luke (Confessional): Andy's kinda had a lot of the game go his way so far. And I think that challenge he wanted us to win to get us out of going to the Temple.
Afterwards, Luke and Lauren were out searching for fruit.
Lauren: I'm really hoping Damian finds something good out there.
Luke: Yeah me too. Crazy how Andy was trying so hard to get us to win.
Lauren: It does make sense for him.
Luke: How was he back at Vorona? Did everything go his way?
Lauren: Always, it was like he had the right conversations with the right people. I think Jayda saving him meant he was able to set something up.
Luke: I don't think anyone's gunning for him. He's good.
Lauren: Too good.
Andy and Sarah were left by themselves pondering over the rest of the game.
Sarah: It's scary, we don't know what's going to happen.
Andy: I was trying to get us to win so that our side had better odds.
Sarah: Yeah, I get that. I mean a win for one of you was a win for all of you.
Andy: You don't think he's having us fooled, do you?
Sarah: What do you mean?
Andy: Has he told you anything about the show?
Sarah: Not much, Damian has shared a bit about how he's never watched much of it.
Andy: Yeah I've heard some of the same.
Sarah: So you think it's all just an act then?
Andy: It's the perfect strategy. He has a spotlight on him for being in the minority and once the big threats are gone, he's going to integrate himself to go all the way. That's the kinda thing the jury will eat up.
Sarah: I don't know, it does seem like a weird thing for someone like him to try.
Andy: Exactly. We probably can't vote Damian off next because of the Temple, Kenny's idol's already out of the game so we don't have to worry about him. I don't think Luke going will cause too much of a mess.
Sarah: I mean I'd rather just get Kenny out while we have the chance. We thought he'd be an easy target to take out during the swap, he still survived that.
Andy: You do have a point.
Sarah (Confessional): Luke and I are friends but in this game we've never really made any promises to go far with each other and him voting with Damian and Kenny shows that he's already picked a side. If those two go then we'll see where we stand and if I'm still fine with him going.
Andy: We'll have to see what happens with immunity.
Sarah: I'm not holding back. I need a break after last night.
Andy: You and me both.
Andy (Confessional): People are viewing Damian and Kenny as the bigger threats of that alliance but I'm surprised no one's brought up Luke yet. He seems just as capable at challenges as Kenny is, he just hasn't pissed anyone off. It's always the little things with him. Like I'm convinced he had us lose on purpose. He's smart. I wouldn't be surprised if him and Lauren were secret twins or something.
JURONI DAY 23.
It was a quiet start to the day. The remaining castaways all had their routines done the other night so all that they had to do for the morning was get their rice going.
Sarah: Smells good.
Luke: Always smells better than it tastes.
Lauren: Can't wait to go back and get to serve some real food.
Sarah: Oh, they're back already.
The group all turned around to see a boat come in with all 5 reward winners on it.
Luke: Can already see their hair.
Sarah: I know Damian's gonna love to see Rachel like that.
They all approached the camp, tension somewhat visible from yesterday, however they did their best to avoid it.
Lauren: Alright, let's hear it.
Sarah: Did you have a nice birthday?
Kate: It was awesome. We were eating like we'd never seen food before.
Rachel: The pool's already a million times better than the ocean.
Nigel (Confessional): I think it's kinda hillarious, everyone trying to act like this whole soap opera fight didn't happen and we were the picture perfect family you'd see in those 80s comercials. I'm trying to just hang back. Already pulled one stunt with Jayda, don't need to pull another.
Lauren: Already got some rice on, help yourselves if you need it.
Kenny: Appreciate it.
Kenny (Confessional): I knew that when I got back, the first thing I was gonna do was spill everything on that fight. We know where the cracks are now.
When everyone scattered, Kenny was busy recapping all the events to Lauren and Luke.
Kenny: And then when everyone was there, she tried tearing Zane to shreds over being the one to spread all that stuff.
Luke: Oh lord. So do those two hate each other now?
Kenny: I don't see how they couldn't. But the only person Rachel will lend an ear to is Damian and he's at the Temple until the next immunity.
Lauren: That won't be enough time. I can try and talk to Zane since I know him and Andy are really close.
Kenny: You think both of them will come on board?
Lauren: Andy always looks for the best way to be in that power position, it's why Dianne got sent home.
Lauren (Confessional): Luke and I have been talking about voting Andy out for a while now so it sucks that our best chance of lasting is to once again ask for his vote.
Luke: I guess we got no other call.
Kenny: If you can't, it's okay. They'll probably get me out before you guys.
Lauren: Still, you guys are the first alliance I've gotten to be with. I don't wanna throw that away.
Kenny: Same here. I'm thankful to Nigel and all but I know he's just gonna go the easy way and stick with them.
Lauren: Yeah, fingers crossed.
Later in the day, Zane was relaxing in the hammock with Lauren sitting across from him.
Zane: If this makes you feel better, woulda much preferred you on the reward over her.
Lauren: Who? Kate?
Zane: Well her too but Rachel. Know the fight's been the talk of the town and all.
Lauren: Yeah, between you and I, I don't really trust her.
Zane: I mean how can you? Jayda talked about her blindsiding her allies without a second thought.
Lauren: Not only that, do you think it's weird that Kenny knew where to play the idol?
Zane: Yeah, no one does that because of dumb luck, someone had to have been the rat.
Lauren: Kenny didn't tell me personally since he didn't want that kinda stuff getting spread around. Who else would it benefit to tell him but her?
Lauren (Confessional): I don't like to lie that much, heck I'm a horrible liar, any of my family will tell you straight. But I'm just trying to tell him things that I'd probably believe. He only has one piece of the puzzle and I'm just trying to mould the rest of the pieces for him and hope they fit.
Zane: Something tells me that I was safe at the right time.
Lauren: You and Kate. Jayda was the third option because of her smack talking at Juburi. You were the only one who wasn't at Kornati during that mix up.
Zane: Andy's a lot better at making those ends meet.
Lauren: Yeah, I mean if you wanna run this by him. You know where we're at, can you really say the same for them?
Zane: They've been promising me final 6 but I know Andy and I will be outnumbered. I don't know, this is something I need to sleep on I think.
Lauren: No problem. Still plenty of time before we have to vote.
Zane (Confessional): I still think Lauren's a snake, she's tried to dupe me twice in both the camps we've been at, but it's difficult to ignore what she's telling me. I don't trust Rachel and I don't think any of that alliance would want to take me much further.
Zane, Andy and Sarah were all sitting across the beach where Zane was also recapping the events of the reward.
Zane: I just can't put up with her anymore. If you don't want something to spread then don't say it in the first place.
Sarah: Yeah, was slightly brash.
Andy: I mean personally I think most of the blame's on Kate just for running back to you with all that.
Zane: She didn't really gain much from it but I probably woulda done the same.
Andy: As of right now, we still have to look at the bigger threats. 3 people who have a strong chance of winning immunity and 1 person who's at the Temple which only helps the people he's working with.
Sarah: The Temple's the only reason they're all still here.
Andy: Kenny had his idol thanks to it, Vinnie found his partly thanks to Dianne, and I got sent there a few days ago.
Sarah: I wouldn't put it past Damian that he has something to protect himself or to protect any of them.
Sarah (Confessional): It does feel like I'm reaping what I sowed when I gave my reward to Kate. If I hadn't done that, we woulda kept the peace. And now, with Damian going to the Temple and having that chance, we need to stay strong and not give them any way they could pick us off.
Sarah then gets up after finishing off her coconut, leaving the two Vorona guys alone.
Zane: Are you sure man? 4 of them, 2 of us, can get rid of anyone they have ties to.
Andy: They're too strong. We have to stick to the plan, it's too early to make a move now. When we get enough of them out, we will have our path forward.
Zane: Fine.
Zane (Confessional): I am sick and tired of being told what to do around here. I'm telling Andy that I don't trust Rachel and I think she'd be quick to vote me out before any of them and he's just completely shutting me down... I'm pissed.
JURONI NIGHT 23.
The sun set and everyone was already in the shelter trying to get as much rest as they could, the reward winners already dreaded having to share a bamboo cave again. Rachel and Luke were both sitting out, watching over the fire.
Rachel: Did Kenny tell you everything?
Luke: He told me enough. I mean everyone's probably found out by now.
Rachel: Go figure. He is so annoying.
Luke (Confessional): Kenny and Lauren both want Zane on side to target Rachel but oddly enough I trust Rachel more than I trust Zane and Andy. So I want to at least see if there's a chance Rachel will vote Zane off sometime soon.
Luke: Honestly I don't see myself getting along with any of them. The only one I was cool with was Sarah but she's really close with a couple of them.
Rachel: Yeah. Sarah's cool. Whether I trust her though, that's a whole other thing.
Luke: Do you think Zane and Andy will get you anywhere?
Rachel: They have so far.
Luke: They could be thinking about how there's still a lotta Kornati left to deal with. Andy's mind goes a million places at once.
Rachel: Yeah but I don't think he'd jump to something that quickly.
Rachel (Confessional): I trust Luke and all, if anything I probably trust him more than most of this tribe. But if he's not gonna turn on his people, why should I turn on mine? Zane and I may have gotten in to it but I'm sure he must be thinking that we're all in a good spot. I'm trying to keep my friends on the other side close while my enemies on my side closer.
After their conversation, Rachel looked up.
Rachel: Stars are out.
Luke followed her gaze and looked at the shining stars in the sky.
Rachel: Hope Damian's okay.
Luke: Wow, that was quick.
Rachel: What?
Luke: You went from looking at the stars to wondering about Damian.
Rachel: Yeah, it's kinda been our thing, looking at the stars.
Luke: Did you use my nest?
Rachel: Sure did. Worked surprisingly well.
Luke: That's awesome. Really glad you guys had a nice time with it.
Rachel: Yeah, he knows a lot about stars and space and all too.
Luke: What do you think, you like him?
Rachel: I don't know. I've never felt like this before, having to figure how someone while having to play a game with them, it's weird.
Luke: Well from what I've heard, he does seem to really care about you.
Rachel: Really?
Luke: Yeah, I mean might not always show it the right ways but he's a lot of fun to be around. Taught me a lot of stuff I never even knew about.
Rachel: I just don't feel like I know enough about him. Feels like he's hiding something and he's on edge all the time. I don't even know where he works.
Luke: It does take a lot to share stuff with people.
Rachel: I'm just hoping that if it is something, it's not anything major
Luke: I don't think it is.
Rachel: You do see people lying about their jobs a bunch.
Luke: Really? Why?
Rachel: People are always worried about what others think of them, and it'll get them targeted.
Luke: That's weird.
Rachel: Heh, tell me about it.
Rachel (Confessional): Luke does have a point, Damian's really nice. I just have to prioritise the game and whatever he has to tell me, he can do it in his own time. I don't want to force him in to anything.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE DAY 24.
In front of Jeff was a row of 10 stands, on top of each stand was a cube with 6 symbols.
Jeff: Come on in guys!
Everyone slowly started to walk in, getting their first look at the game show style layout that the challenge gives off.
Jeff: We'll now bring in Damian, returning from the Temple of Secrets.
Damian came in from the opposite entrance and most of the tribe welcomed him back with open arms.
Jeff: Damian, the Temple has gotten more difficult. Now you have to spend 2 nights away from camp instead of just one. How was it?
Damian: It was really tough. That feeling of isolation from the rest of the world, not knowing what's going on, missing out on the rest of Kate's birthday.
Kate: It's fine. Not much happened anyway.
Jeff: Okay, well it is time to get to your next individual immunity challenge. First thing's first, I'll take back the necklaces.
Kate and Zane both stepped forward. Kate handing hers over willingly whilst Zane was a little more hesitant.
Jeff: Give it up Zane.
Zane: Fine.
Zane gives in and Jeff walks back with both necklaces, placing one behind the post and the other where it can be displayed.
Jeff: This time, only one immunity necklace is up for grabs. Today we're about to see what kind of impact 24 days in Croatia has had on your mind. I'm going to show you a series of symbols. You're going to use your cube to repeat them back to me. Get it right, you stay alive. Get it wrong, you're out. Last person left standing, wins immunity, safe from the vote. Everyone else, tribal council tonight where someone will be the 9th person voted out and the second member of our jury. Now for this challenge there's something else at stake.
This automatically bought everyone's attention.
Jeff: If you are feeling safe from tonight's vote and want to look forward to your long term game, then instead of competing for immunity...
Jeff then pulls out a sealed bottle, similar to the one back on Day 13 which Kornati won.
Jeff: You can compete for an advantage in this game. Just to be clear, your goal is to outlast everyone else who's competing for what you're competing for, last person left standing out of the people competing for immunity, wins immunity, last person left standing for the people competing for the advantage, wins the advantage. Everyone understand?
Everyone nodded as Jeff pulled out two plates. One with Red Rocks, the other with White Rocks.
Jeff: Everyone take a white rock and a red rock.
The 10 competitors all claimed their rocks as Jeff proceeded with instructions.
Jeff: On my count of 3, you are going to hold out and present one of your rocks. If you want to compete for immunity, hold up the white rock, if you want to compete for the advantage, hold up the red rock. Ready?
Everyone took a couple seconds to make their decisions.
Jeff: Everyone hold out your arm, keep the rock covered. 3, 2, 1, reveal.
As Jeff gave the signal, everyone revealed their rocks and looked over to see who they'd be competing against.
Jeff: We have 4 people competing for the advantage. We have Kate, Rachel, Luke and Nigel. 6 people competing for immunity, Andy, Kenny, Lauren, Damian, Sarah and Zane. Alright, we'll draw for spots and get started.
Everyone got in to their positions. The people competing for immunity were on the left whilst the people participating for the advantage were on the right. They all got a first look at their die. On the die were the following: A knight, a shield, a sword, a bridge, a gate and a temple.
Jeff: Alright, first round.
Jeff got ready to present his symbol cards as he was calling them out.
Jeff: Sword, Gate, Knight, Temple, Shield, Bridge. Now i'm gonna ask you to repeat them back to me.
People were shown somewhat perplexed at this.
Jeff: Okay, everyone show me the first icon.
While it took a couple seconds, everyone was able to identify Sword.
Jeff: Everyone has Sword, correct answer, Sword. Everybody's right. Next icon.
This one was slightly more tricky. Whilst it seemed easy to remember all the icons one after the other, having to present them one at a time in certain intervals became the challenge.
Jeff: Everyone has Gate, except for Zane. Zane has Knight.
Zane: Oh shoot.
Jeff: Correct answer is, Gate. Zane has it wrong, you're the first person out. Set your cube down and have a spot on the bench.
Zane: Guess I'm not going back to back.
Nigel: Hey I'm not the first one out!
Jeff: Next icon.
Nigel: Uhhh, crap.
Everyone laughed to some extent whilst finding their next icon on the cube.
Jeff: Everybody has Knight except for Nigel and Damian. They both have Temple. Correct answer is, Knight. Nigel is out, Damian is out. We are down to 7. 4 left for immunity, 3 left for the advantage.
The group was surprised at how hard this challenge was getting and how easy it was to lose track of the order.
Jeff: Alright, everyone show me the next icon.
Some took longer than others to find it but eventually they managed.
Jeff: Everybody has Temple except for Rachel, Rachel has Bridge. The correct answer is... Temple.
Rachel: Dang...
Jeff: Rachel is out, take a spot on the bench. And just like that we are down to Luke and Kate for the advantage.
The two felt the pressure from their respective alliances to outlast each other.
Jeff: Everyone left, go ahead and show me the next icon.
This was where everyone was really having to take their time and think through the order.
Jeff: Everyone has shield except for Sarah who has Bridge.
Sarah: Make it quick.
Jeff: Correct answer, shield. Sarah has it wrong, Sarah out of the challenge. Not even through the first round and we've already lost half of the tribe. Alright, show me the last icon of this round.
As everyone knew that one of each item was shown and Sarah and Rachel had both said Bridge previously, that made this round easier than the previous ones.
Jeff: Everybody has Bridge. Correct answer, Bridge. Okay, so Andy moves on, Kenny moves on, Lauren moves on, Luke moves on and Kate moves on.
Damian: Good job guys.
Jeff: Next round, we're gonna go to 7 icons now. First icon, Knight, Bridge, Sword, Bridge, Temple, Shield, Knight.
Kenny: Oh God...
Jeff: A lotta items. This might decide our winners. Everyone repeat them back to me, show me the first icon.
Like the first round, everyone had little trouble showing the first icon.
Jeff: Everybody has Knight. Correct answer, Knight. Everybody's right, everybody stays in. Reveal the next icon.
Some were starting to show their cubes quicker than others.
Jeff: Everybody has Bridge except for Luke who has Sword.
This drew everybody's attention, knowing that someone was about to win the advantage.
Jeff: The correct answer is... Bridge. Luke is out of the challenge, Kate wins the advantage!
Kate puts her cube down and claps her hands whilst Luke looks dejected.
Jeff: Both of you can take a seat on the bench. We now have 3 players facing off for immunity. Kenny, Andy and Lauren. Go ahead and show me the third icon.
The three players paused and tried to remember the order.
Jeff: Everybody has Sword, everybody is right. Next icon.
Since there were some repeating items and no items shown at all, this was proving to be more challenging.
Jeff: Andy and Kenny both have Bridge, Lauren has Temple. Let's see who's right.
A few seconds passed before Jeff revealed the answer.
Jeff: The correct answer is... Bridge. Lauren is out, no shot at immunity. Andy and Kenny stay alive.
Lauren walks to the bench with the other 7 tribemembers.
Damian: You killed it.
Lauren: So close, again.
Jeff: Now down to Andy and Kenny for immunity. You're both 10 items in to this challenge.
They both looked at each other on the far left of the challenge set up.
Jeff: Show me the next icon.
Both wasted no time in displaying their cubes.
Jeff: Both show Temple. Correct answer, Temple. Show me the sixth icon.
Since they were nearing the end of the round, they knew what the last two icons were, it was a matter of what order.
Jeff: Andy shows Knight, Kenny shows Shield. One of you is right, one of you isn't. One has just won immunity, one has lost. The correct answer is...
Shots of both of them were shown before Jeff turns over the card.
Jeff: ...Shield. Andy is out, Kenny wins immunity! Safe at tonight's tribal council!
Kenny throws his cube up in the air and yells in relief.
Kenny: Gotta put up with me for a bit longer.
Andy: Good job Kenny.
The two shook hands as they returned to the group.
Jeff: Kate, come on over.
Kate: Thanks. Earned it myself this time.
Rachel rolled her eyes as she clapped for the 20 year old.
Jeff: Here you go, you gave up immunity for a shot at an advantage. You're allowed to read it when you get back to camp.
Jeff then handed over a bamboo cylinder with a seal on it.
Kate: Feels good.
Kate walks back to the group and high fives a number of people.
Jeff: Kenny, come on over.
Kenny: Right on queue.
Jeff: You said you needed it, if last tribal was anything to go by.
Kenny: Sure was.
Jeff: Individual Immunity for Kenny, safe at tonight's vote, guarenteed a spot in the final 9. For the rest of you, after 24 days out here, somebody of this group of 9 will be voted out and become the 2nd member of the jury. Should be an interesting afternoon. Grab your stuff, head back to camp, I'll see you at tribal. Congrats.
Kenny: Thanks.
Lauren: Nice job Kenny.
Andy: Tough challenge.
Andy (Confessional): Oh please, of course I knew the remaining answers, but with Kenny safe and Kate with the advantage, that's all I need to pull the trigger and send Luke packing.
JURONI DAY 24.
The camp slowly filled up as everyone got back from that challenge, Kenny hanging his necklace up.
Kenny: Never thought I'd pull through in a memory challenge.
Rachel: Nice job, Kenny.
Kenny: Thanks.
Kenny (Confessional): Just when I thought finding and playing that idol was the best feeling ever, I follow up with an immunity when I definitely needed it. I hope to cause plenty of chaos this afternoon.
Kenny: Get to tick that one off the old bucket list.
Kate: I was wanting to keep going to see how long I could make it, felt good about it.
Kate (Confessional): The only thing on my mind was not letting Kenny win immunity, and maybe more of us shoulda played to make sure that didn't happen.
Kate was then shown walking off with Nigel and Sarah.
Kate (Confessional): But I still got the next best thing, an advantage in this game. Not sure what it is but hopefully I can use this to better my odds.
Kate: Alright, let's see what's in Pandora's Box.
Nigel: Hopefully a treasure map to a buffet.
Sarah: That actually sounds really nice.
She opened the cylinder and took out the note inside.
Kate: "Congratulations, your decision at today's immunity challenge paid off. You have earned the power to steal a vote from another player at tribal council. When it is time to vote, before anyone goes up, announce to Jeff you wish to use your advantage. You will then select one player who's vote you will steal. This person will not cast a vote and instead you will cast a second vote using this piece of parchment. This vote will count like any other vote at that tribal. The last time you can use it is when there are 7 players left in the game".
Sarah: So you have 4 votes to use it then.
Kate: If I use it tonight, we'll be able to split the vote. We'll have 7 and they'll only have 3.
Kate (Confessional): This advantage is a huge shake up for the game. Knowing that I have this, hopefully makes my alliance protect me more.
Nigel: Damian's still got his thing from the Temple. Whatever it is.
Sarah: I don't think it's anything huge.
Andy then enters the scene.
Sarah: Who do you wanna get rid of? Luke or Lauren?
Andy: Luke makes me the most nervous. I think he can get the most momentum.
Kate: I agree.
Andy: Would we have enough to split?
Kate: My advantage can let me steal a vote. I was thinking we steal Damian's so they think he's the target. I can use his vote to get Luke out.
Andy: So we'd have 7 votes, they only have 3.
Sarah: Us three and her extra can vote for Luke. You, Zane and Rachel vote for Lauren as the back up.
Andy: Sounds good, I'll let the others know.
Damian and Luke were walking along the beach with Luke trying to catch him up.
Luke: Our only option was pretty much have Rachel vote Zane or Zane vote Rachel.
Damian: Why is Rachel getting thrown in to the mix?
Luke: Her and Zane got in to it during the Reward apparently. Kenny saw that as the only way all of us would make it. And I'm not sure Rachel seemed all that interested.
Damian: Can't we vote for Kate just to get rid of that advantage?
Luke: I'd love to, we just don't know what it is. And I don't want to take the chance when it's us on the chopping block.
Damian (Confessional): I really wished I had stayed at camp now. Kenny and Lauren are making this pitch to Zane about voting out Rachel. I'm not down for that at all. But what can I do?
Damian: I really don't feel good about this man.
Luke: Me neither. Our hands are tied.
Damian (Confessional): It sucks to think that I'll have to screw over one of the only people I've had fun playing this game with just to move forward.
Later in the day, with only a couple hours to spare, Andy filled Zane in on the details.
Andy: We have enough votes, trust me. We can get Luke out and be done with it.
Zane: Well as long as it covers our asses.
Andy: I'm sure it will.
Zane (Confessional): So Andy's telling me all the details about what's happening at tribal, Kate's advantage, and to vote for Lauren.
Andy: So it'll be you, me and Rachel writing Lauren's name down. So we got nothing to worry about.
Zane: It'll be nice to see her squirm with 3 people voting for her.
The two then split off as Zane rolls his eyes, clearly annoyed.
Zane (Confessional): You know, these past couple days have really opened my eyes at the type of game we're playing here. A game where I thought I was making all the right calls. But something's gotta be done and I gotta be the one to do it.
Him and Lauren then met up at the same spot where Lauren talked to him yesterday.
Lauren: What's up?
Zane: I've thought about what you said and as much as I cannot stand her existance, I don't think I can vote for her.
Lauren: So you're voting with them?
Zane: I didn't say that.
Lauren: Well who else is there?
Zane: Do you guys wanna vote for Andy instead?
This took Lauren by surprise and took her a second to process.
Zane: I mean think about it, after Jayda left, you guys came to us with the pitch and he wants Luke out and all of a sudden Kenny wins when it's only those two left?
Lauren: That's... I didn't think about that.
Zane (Confessional): Andy's always talked about picking up the small things in someone else's strategy. I did not know until now that he was talking about himself.
Lauren: If you're down with it, I'll talk to the others about it.
Zane: He is such a player. Too smart.
Lauren (Confessional): I can't believe it. Zane wants to make a move with us and it's against the last person I thought he'd want to make a move against.
Lauren: If you think it'll work.
Zane: I ain't trying to bluff.
After leaving, Zane finds Kate and Nigel sitting by the rocks with Nigel doing impressions with his puppet.
Zane: You guys have a minute?
Kate: Yeah, I guess.
Nigel: You good dude? You seem kinda freaked out today.
Zane: Just thinking through this whole plan.
Kate: Why, seems fairly easy.
Zane: It's just after that. I think there's a rat in our group. Someone who let it slip that Kenny was the plan.
Kate: That seems a bit out there to me.
Nigel: Probably just wanted to save himself. We all woulda done the same.
Zane: There was no way he just magically guessed who would get votes.
Kate: Are you thinking Rachel is the rat?
Zane: Those Kornati connections must still be up there. Can't be anyone else, right?
Kate: Yeah, I don't know.
Zane: I don't wanna drag this out for too long but do you wanna hold off on using your advantage?
Kate: Huh? Why?
Zane: If you use that, you lose the only reason they have to keep you around.
Kate: Would Rachel and Andy really pull the trigger like that?
Zane: Seems like a waste to use it just as you got it.
Nigel: I guess I can see that. That kinda thing can really come in handy later on.
Kate: Yeah but what if we're just giving them an open shot?
Zane: Maybe they know what's going on. There's always that one person that tries to cover all their angles. Maybe they want you to play it so whoever's left can come for you later.
Kate: Maybe you're over thinking this.
Zane: If that's the case, why are we splitting votes? Maybe we got worked up all for nothing and Luke's gonna head out either way.
Nigel (Confessional): Zane thinks Rachel ratted out their plans when in a cruel twist of fate, it was actually me. But hey, the more people not coming after my head, the better I'll sleep at night.
Things fell silent between the trio.
Zane: Just think about it, alright?
After Zane walked off, Kate laid back in to the rocks, not enjoying this position.
Kate: What do you think?
Nigel: Your call, it's your advantage. I'm too old to be thinking about this kinda stuff anyway.
Kate (Confessional): Overall I'd say Zane has my best intentions at heart. He gave me immunity and was quick to tell me that Rachel and Kenny were talking crap about me which turned out to be true. Can I trust his hunch to hang on to the advantage though? If the plan stays the same or if votes fall on Andy or Rachel who might be coming for me later then maybe I should just hold on to it and use it at a better time.
Lauren: Just talked to Zane, he wants us to vote for Andy?
Luke: Seriously?
The group of Damian, Kenny, Luke and Lauren were all sitting in a line a few metres from the tide.
Damian: How do we know it's not Andy putting him up to this?
Lauren: We don't but what else can we do?
Kenny: I'd love to get Andy out. He thinks he has this game in the bag.
Damian: We'd get to leave Zane and Rachel in who both hate each other.
Damian (Confessional): I don't really trust Zane that much, not now, probably not ever but if the target's off of Rachel, knowing she might consider voting with us more, this can be a great move to pull off.
Luke: I don't think I've ever been this nervous for a vote.
Lauren: There are so many more people to work around.
Kenny: I guess we'll just have to see where the chips fall.
The sun was on it's way down as one by one, everyone grabbed their torches as they left for tribal.
Andy (Confessional): So far everything seems pretty set. We've got 7 votes to control and a free pass to the final 9. Hopefully it is just that simple.
Zane (Confessional): Andy's been my closest guy, saved me from more jams than anyone else here. But he's also the biggest player out here. So the ball's in my corner now. Who am I gonna screw over tonight?
Kate (Confessional): I don't trust a lot of these people and know we won't all make it to the final 6. I don't know who's gonna take the fall tonight and it's making me nauscious.
TRIBAL COUNCIL NIGHT 24.
Following an eventful challenge and a more eventful afternoon, everyone soon arrived at the tribal council area where like always, Jeff was awaiting their arrival.
Jeff: We'll now bring in the first member of our jury. Jayda, voted out at the last tribal council.
Jayda barely made eye contact with the group as she went to sit down on the jury bench.
Jeff: Kate, I can't help but notice you have Nigel's hat on.
Kate: Yeah, lent it to me for a couple days to celebrate my birthday.
Nigel: Looks infinitely better on her than it did on me.
Kate: *Laughs* Hopefully it can be my good luck charm for tonight.
Jeff: So, quite the interesting last couple days we've had. Kenny, quite the emotional reaction today when you won the challenge. Safe to say it was one you needed.
Kenny: Jeff it feels like these people have been dangling my Survivor life in front of me ever since they voted Emily out and it was a tough place for me. This was the only thing I could count on after playing my idol last tribal.
Jeff: And do you think after tonight your standing with the tribe will change.
Kenny: We'll have to see, depends on who gets voted out. And my guess it'll probably be Damian.
Jeff: Damian, you agree with that? With the Temple back in play and you having to spend two nights away, that has to weigh heavily on your social game.
Damian: Yeah it was really rough. It could've been me out for the count the last tribal and really thought I coulda used these last 2 or 3 days to try and make something work. But I know I'm not going home tonight.
Jeff: And you're confident about that?
Damian: If it's something that these people want to go up against and risk when there's only 6 of them in a 10 man show then they know who's name to write down.
Jeff: Sarah, after the last tribal council where Kenny played his idol, why do you think he voted Jayda out?
Sarah: I have no idea, when you have 5 people to choose from though, that's when it gets tricky.
Jeff: Rachel, how do you think the immunity idol shook things up?
Rachel: I think it really opened our eyes that this game has gone up another level. That anyone can have anything at anytime and you're just trying not to end up in the crossfires.
Jeff: Luke, does having that in the back of your mind make you more nervous?
Luke: Yeah, it gives everyone a reason to be more careful of what you share with other people since everyone's trying to wager some sorta trust.
Lauren: I mean it doesn't matter what you're feeling, your votes will tell you more than your words will.
Jeff: Kenny, Lauren said it as clear as you could be, the votes will tell the truth. So what do you hope happens tonight.
Kenny: I hope people will come to their senses and realise that there's still a long way to go and your shot at making it to that final 2 is only getting smaller the longer you hold out on taking action and trying to make something happen.
Jeff: Kate, at the immunity challenge, everyone was given a choice, to compete for their safety for this tribal, which Kenny won, or to look at their long term game and earn an advantage, which you won. Do you think this makes you more of a target or do you think more people want to be on the right side of that advantage.
Kate: It's very different from the last tribal since I was still safe no matter if Kenny had the idol and who they voted for. This time I could still get voted off.
Jeff: There's also the pattern which I'm sure many have caught on by now of you being given both the immunity by Zane and the reward by Sarah.
Kate: Right but I don't think there was much strategy to their decisions. I know Zane wanted to do the nice thing and Sarah has said she didn't need the reward.
Sarah nods while Rachel shakes her head slightly which doesn't gain anyone's attention.
Kate: And let's not forget, I'm not the only one who may or may not have something.
Jeff: Damian, guess that sheds the light on you. With the Temple being another layer to the game, do you think it helps or hurts you?
Damian: Probably helps. I mean whatever the choice is, it's still your choice to make. Everyone who's been there has made a decision. Does suck having to spend the last two nights there and then dealing with whatever this is when I get back.
Jeff: Zane, what are you basing your vote on tonight?
Zane: Whatever's gonna help me. I know there's someone here that many people have had their eye on for a while and maybe it's time their torch finally get snuffed.
Jeff: How about you, Nigel? Everyone's gotten plenty of time to get to know each other at your new camp, how do you move forward?
Nigel: Try not to get left behind. You can get voted out for literally any reason and there's no one you can blame but yourself. It's not like you can control how these people think or say.
Jeff: Rachel, last tribal 7 of you voted together. That's a pretty big statement for just the first vote after the merge.
Rachel: Yeah, and with one of us out, I can only hope that means the rest of us are tighter than ever. You're always gonna need those 2 or 3 people you can trust to see you through. You just can't play this game by yourself.
Kenny: I've had to for a couple days.
Rachel: You don't count, you're still here.
Kenny: Hey, I'll take what I can get.
Jeff: Alright, and with that, let's get to the vote. Kenny has the necklace, cannot vote for Kenny. Everyone else, somebody is about to go home. It is time to vote. Kenny, you're up.
Kenny nods as he gets up to head to the voting booth, writing down Andy's name.
Kenny: New plan, trying to vote out the person I've tried to send packing twice now.
A couple other's followed after, with Sarah voting for Luke.
Sarah: You're a really nice guy, just sucks you decided to stick with Damian.
Rachel was next as she was shown writing down Lauren's name. Following her was Luke who displayed his vote for Andy.
Luke: You're really bossy and controlling. Hopefully it ends tonight.
Next was Nigel who followed through with the plan and voted for Luke.
Nigel: Sorry not sorry.
After the last few votes were deposited, everyone returned to their seats.
Jeff: I'll go tally the votes.
Many players were silent with Andy turning to Zane.
Andy *whispered*: Did she play the advantage?
Zane merely shrugged in response as right on queue, Jeff returned with the urn.
Jeff: Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. If anybody has a hidden immunity idol and they'd like to play it, now would be the time to do so.
The group all looked around in suspense but no one stood up.
Jeff: Okay. I'll read the votes.
The host removed the lid and pulled out the first vote.
Jeff: First vote, Andy.
Andy was a tad surprised but not startled.
Jeff: Andy, 2 votes Andy.
Jayda watched from the jury bench, curious where this was heading.
Jeff: Luke.
Luke sighed and looked down as many looked over at him.
Jeff: Luke. 2 votes Luke.
.
.
.
Jeff: Lauren.
Lauren: Been a while.
Jeff: Lauren. We're tied. 2 votes Andy, 2 votes Luke, 2 votes Lauren.
Luke and Lauren looked at each other nervously, not feeling great about where this was going.
Jeff: Luke. That's 3 votes Luke.
Luke looked over at Zane who didn't respond.
Jeff: Andy. Tied again, 3 votes Luke, 3 votes Andy, 2 votes Lauren.
.
.
.
Jeff: Andy. 4 votes Andy, 3 votes Luke, 2 votes Lauren, 1 vote left.
Andy looked around the group as he wasn't expecting this. Luke closed his eyes as the last vote was pulled.
Jeff: 9th person voted out and the 2nd member of our jury, Andy. Need to bring me your torch.
Whilst initially confused, Andy nodded and stood up.
Andy: Nice one guys.
Rachel meanwhile hid her face in her hands in frustration while Zane made no reaction.
Jeff: Andy, the tribe has spoken.
Andy: They sure did...
As his torch was snuffed, Andy waved to everyone before he left.
Jeff: Time for you to go.
Jayda shook her head, not believing this odd turn of events.
Jeff: Well by the looks of faces, it seems like the votes really did tell the truth after all. I can only imagine what this means for the rest of you now. Grab your torches, head back to camp. Goodnight.
The players all grabbed their torches and started their journey back to camp as the credits started rolling.
Jeff: Next time on Survivor!
The foursome of the bottom feeders all high fived.
Jeff: With the underdogs making it past another vote, the majority start to doubt each other.
Kate: I made a mistake.
Rachel: Why would he do something so stupid?
Zane: The four of us are no threats compared to the four of them
Sarah: I hate having fate up in the air like this.
Jeff: And the next Temple twist can see two more players leave the game.
The Temple was shown with it's dilemma being called "Double the odds".
Final words.
Andy: Yeah I kinda figured by how Zane was acting that something was up that I didn't know about. I thought with Kate's advantage that we were golden splitting the votes but nope. Guess my confidence got the better of me.
Zane (Voting Confessional): That first day you told me I was being targeted for taking the leadership role. I guess you shoulda taken your own advice there, buddy. I'm taking over now.
Andy: It's a tough pill since I really thought I was doing a good job. It's hard to tell who's running the show right now. This game shifts like crazy. Zane probably made the wrong move but we'll see. All I can say is that if karma is a boomerang then we'll see the flippers arrive sooner than later.
Votes.
Damian: Andy
Kenny: Andy
Lauren: Andy
Luke: Andy
Zane: Andy
Kate: Luke
Nigel: Luke
Sarah: Luke
Andy: Lauren
Rachel: Lauren
10th: Andy
11th: Jayda
12th: Vinnie
13th: Emily
14th: Moana
15th: Brendan
16th: Dianne
17th: Curtis
18th: Gail
And just like that, Andy, who was playing a really strong pre-merge game, ended up getting sniped out of the game by his presumed right hand man. 9 down, only 9 left. We'll just have to see who winds up getting the boot next.
In other words, hard to believe I've been at this for 2 and a half years now. But I really do hope I can see this story through to the end. Until next time, see you whenever!
