Up in the mountains, Krag walks down the path before Jay, Cole, Nya, Geoff and Blake pass by, riding on improvised boards made from very big ribs. Nya giggles while Cole ducked down to avoid being hit when he passes through a giant ribcage, and Blake jumps and spins backwards before placing his hands on the improvised board as they continue on. "This is way cooler than the Wailing Alps!" He called out.
"Now, this is OutBoarding!" Geoff said as he soon jumped and spun over a ribcage before they all soon reach the bottom and come to a complete stop, until Krag comes sliding down and crashes into them, making them all fly across the ground before landing. (A/N: OutBoarding is a name I made up. Ever heard of the old computer game SkiFree? Imagine OutBoarding is almost like it, but with a snowboard instead of skis)
They all soon got up before looking at each other before cheering. "Yeah!"
"All right!" Cole said as Jay laughed.
"I still can't believe you found a Traveler's Tree, Blake." Geoff said, coming up towards him while he shook some snow off.
"Me neither." Blake replied as he shook his prosthetic to get some snow out of it while Nya was brushing snow off of herself. "Who would have thought Traveler's Tea comes from a tree, right?" Nya shook her head, unamused before they start to move.
"I wonder how we turn it into tea?" She asked her husband.
"Maybe that old lady in the village can help." Jay replied. "She probably knows a lot of weird stuff."
"Sorla?" Geoff asked, moving back to catch up with them. "Yeah, hopefully."
"All I know is, I am not losing these again." Blake said. "I'm keeping them tucked right here." He points to his pouch. "Safe and-" Krag soon growled, making them all stop to turn around and see him sniffing the air. "What's up, Krag? What do you smell?" Dragon roaring was soon heard close by as Boreal was nearby.
They immediately head for a nearby pillar to hide as Boreal passes by over them, completely oblivious of their presence. Jay soon gasped while Krag growled. "What was that?" Jay asked.
"A dragon!" Nya replied.
"Looks like it's heading for the village!" Cole said, pointing in their direction.
"Kai and Gewuji are there as well." Blake replied as Boreal soon disappeared into the clouds before they quickly ran, hoping to reach the village before it is too late.
At the Great Lake, Uthaug watched as Boma picks at the ice with a drill before spinning it, only to grunt in anger when it does nothing. "You're doing it wrong!" Uthaug said before coming down to him and swipes the drill. "Let me try."
"The ice is just too thick." Boma replied.
Uthaug scoffs. "Too thick for you, maybe, but I'm stronger."
Boma groans, annoyed. "Everyone knows I'm the strong one, Uthaug. If I can't do it, you don't have a chance."
"What are you talking about? Look at my muscles. I don't even wanna flex. I like these clothes."
David and some kids soon pass by across the bridge, also passing by Gewuji and Sorla, who were having a conversation before coming up to Kai, who was resting in the hammock. "Kai, Kai!" One of the boys called out, causing him to wake up and turn to them as they held their fish out to him. "Light our fish!"
"Okay, okay, one at a time." He replied before igniting his hand and started to cook a fish.
Gewuji watches the whole thing before smiling. "Nice to see Kai is still slowly recovering his powers." She said.
"They will be back in full force, overtime." Sorla replied. "How is your ear, by the way?"
"Oh, it's not that bad now. Just gotta take it easy."
Roaring was soon heard as everyone soon looked up to see Boreal flying towards the village before passing over it. "What was that?" A girl asked.
"Get inside." Kai replied to David and the kids. "All of you."
Boreal soon roared again as it had circled around to come at the village and started to breathe out ice, leaving a trail of ice pillars. Gewuji comes up to the kids before forcing a couple of them forward. "Run!" She yelled before they all do so and Kai ran to catch up. Kai and Gewuji try their best to guide the villagers to safety before Kai stopped to turn to Boreal and Gewuji notices. "Kai, no! Your powers aren't restored yet!"
"Just get everybody to safety."
"Kai-"
"JUST GET EVERYONE THE **** INSIDE!" Gewuji quickly took off as Kai held his hands together to ignite some Fire. "You can do it. You can do it!" He hisses as the fire slowly builds up. "Come on, Kai, come on!" Boreal was almost close as Kai was still trying to grow his fire. "Come on. Come on! Come on!"
Gewuji soon grabbed hold of him by his right side. "Come on!" She pulls him back out of Boreal's line of attack before they turn back and gasp when they see some villagers trapped in ice.
"Oh, no." They both said.
Villagers are then heard screaming on the other side before they both ran around the corner of a hut to see Boma, Uthaug, Sorla and Forbes running down their direction. "Run!" Sorla called out to them.
Kai runs past between Boma, Uthaug and Forbes to reach Sorla, only for her end up getting caught in ice. "Sorla!" He yelled as Gewuji came up next to him. "No." He puts his hands on the ice pillar. "No, no, no." Boreal roars once more as they both see it still freezing up the village.
Boma, Uthaug and Forbes kept running as Boreal kept breathing out ice to freeze everything insight, Uthaug getting caught in it too. "Uthaug!" Boma said, coming up to him along with Forbes. Forbes looked at the frozen block in shock before hearing roaring and turned to the right to see it circling around. It then breathes out a blast of ice, which made Boma cover his eyes in fear, only to see it blowing past, and looked to see Forbes with his hands out wide, firing a beam of Tar to block it. "Forbes?" He turned to him, in complete shock, only for the shot to knock them both down.
Back by their spot, Kai sees Boreal heading in their direction. "Gewuji, go see if anyone survived." He said. "I'll hold it off."
"But, Kai-" She was soon cut off.
"Just go!" Gewuji immediately took off as Kai somersaults onto a rooftop and turned to Boreal. "Here, over here!" He waves his hands towards it before bringing them together to try and ignite some Fire. Boreal turns back around to face Kai, roaring as it did so before quickly breathing out ice towards him as he holds his hands out to create a shield of Fire, but it quickly extinguishes and knocks him off the roof. Boreal passes by, still breathing out ice before it stops and takes off. Kai groans as he gets up before coming out between the two huts to see almost every single villager was stuck in blocks of ice. "No." He then looks around. "Anyone?" He starts to move. "Is anyone there? Gewuji?"
Rustling was heard as Kai quickly turned around, igniting Fire in his hand, only to see Forbes, who fell down. "Fire Maker, no!" He yelled.
Kai extinguishes his Fire. "What are you doing out here?"
"I got knocked back by that dragon."
"I'm just glad you're okay, kid." Kai helps him up. "What's your name?"
"Forbes."
"Let's see who else made it."
"Uh, okay." Kai and Forbes start to check for any survivours.
After a few seconds, Kai and Forbes were unable to find anyone not frozen, not even Gewuji before they stop at some ice pillars with David and the rest of the kids inside, making Kai gasp in shock. He then backed away to sit by a wooden bollard while Forbes looked at them in complete shock. Jay, Cole, Nya, Geoff, Blake and Krag soon show up, realising they were too late. "Oh, no." Nya said.
Jay soon noticed Kai. "Kai!" He called out before they run up to him while Geoff went over to Forbes to comfort him.
"Are you two all right?" Cole asked as came up to him.
"I couldn't do anything... to stop it." Kai replied. "I... I tried, but..." He sighs. "...my Elemental Powers weren't strong enough. I..." He looks at his hands. "I... I couldn't stop it."
"My own powers didn't help, either." Forbes said, turning to them.
"Powers?" Cole asked.
Forbes holds up his left hand to show some Tar coming out of it. "Geoff said they were 'Tar', or something..."
Blake notices something ahead and rushes towards the ice block containing David and the kids inside it before stopping to look at it. "David." He muttered, putting his prosthetic hand on it.
"A kid Elemental Master." Nya sarcastically muttered. "What else is happening in this crazy day?"
"Nya, it doesn't matter now." Geoff replied kneeling down to Kai. "Kai, where's Gewuji?" He doesn't reply before Geoff grabs hold of him to shake him. "Where's my sister?"
"We split up, to try and... get everyone to safety." Kai replied, still in shock. "I... I think she was also..."
Geoff soon sighed as everyone also frowned from hearing the bad news about not just the villagers, but their fellow Ninja, friend and sister. He then lowered his head before banging is heard close by, making them turn to a nearby hut to see someone banging on the door blocked by some ice before it soon stopped. "What was that?" Nya asked.
"Did someone else make it?" Jay asked.
Suddenly, one of the hut's walls is blasted open, and they ran to see Gewuji coming out of the hut she was inside. "Gewuji!" Kai, Jay, Cole, Nya, Geoff and Blake said, coming up to her while Forbes stayed where he was.
"But, how?" Kai asked.
"I tried to get the kids into the hut, but the dragon came at us too quickly." Gewuji replied. "So, I wasn't able to get to any of them before the door got jammed."
"You tried your best." Geoff said to his sister.
"But, my best wasn't enough." She then looked around the village before spotting Forbes. "I guess nobody else made it, apart from the kid." She then looked behind Geoff and gasped. "Sorla!"
She passes through them and they turn to see her come towards the ice block Sorla was on before putting an ear to it and sighs out of relief upon hearing a heartbeat. Nya soon came over to try and hit the ice, but Jay and Gewuji stop her. "Nya, you can't help her." Jay said to his wife.
"We have to." Nya replied. "We have to find a way."
"Nya, he's right." Blake said.
"Gewuji and I were supposed to protect them." Kai said, immediately feeling lament as Cole puts a hand on him while Krag looks at another one and Geoff looked on with his Sand Sight. "And we failed. We could only save a kid with an Elemental Power we never even heard of."
"They're not dead, Kai." Geoff replied, turning to him. "They're frozen. We'll find a way to help them." He deactivates his Sand Sight. "I promise."
"How?" Gewuji asked.
"The Ice Emperor." Blake replied. "He did this."
"Then maybe it's time we took the fight to him." Kai said.
"What do you have in mind?" Nya asked.
"Lloyd wanted us to distract the Ice Emperor, to give him a chance to sneak in and find Zane. What better way to distract him than to find the Land Bounty, fix it up, and drive it right the **** up through his front door?"
"You know, when I suggest things like that everyone thinks I'm bonkers." Cole said. "But I like it." Everyone soon smiled.
"I second that." Gewuji replied.
"Me too." Nya said.
"Hell yeah." Geoff said.
"Let's do it." Jay said.
"Krag, what do you say about it?" Blake asked.
"Krag?" Kai asked, confused before Krag soon roared in approval, causing Kai, who hadn't even noticed him at all, to shriek in fear.
"Wow, a yeti!" Forbes said, turning to him, surprised.
Geoff kneels down to him. "Forbes, we're gonna get everyone back, but we need you to be brave as we travel to the Ice Castle." He said before Forbes nodded in compliance.
"We're not bringing him along." Nya said, objecting.
Geoff stands up and turns to her. "We can't leave him alone in the village. He's got no one else."
"Like it or not, Nya, we have to." Blake said, agreeing.
Nya cringes in annoyance. "Just don't get in our way alot." She said as Geoff places a reassuring hand on Forbes' shoulder.
