Let's get this over with.
Symbol of Hope, along with any other spinoffs I might've planned out for this series, is dead.
After almost three years of no updates to this story, I come back to this to announce that this story is put into a cadaver. I'm sorry about this, and I know that this is not what you all wanted to hear from me regarding this story. You all waited so patiently, accumulating over 1k favs, follows, subscriptions and readings, and this is how I repay you all.
I know you all want some answers regarding to why I canceled this story. Allow me to explain.
Ever since I went on hiatus, I found myself needing to support myself, which required money, which required me getting a job. I started working in order to accomplish this, and I quickly found myself buried in responsibilities that prevented me from getting back to my hobbies as easily as I wanted to. Because of this, my priorities began to shift to getting enough cash to stay alive. When I eventually did manage to find a balance between work and life, my interests changed from when I first started. That wasn't the only change I went through, however.
As the MHA manga continued, my interest in the series went downhill as the chapters began to get more disappointing with each page. At this point, I'm only following the series to see its end.
Speaking of MHA and its arcs…
I realized during my break that I didn't plan out anything beyond certain arcs, or even skipped out on other arcs that were needed. With that in mind, I tried to come up with something that would quickly get me to the arcs that I believed mattered, but that would leave several arcs of subpar quality, something I didn't want to leave you guys with, since a story is better written out of passion than obligation.
Speaking of obligations…
FUCK. THE SPORTS FESTIVAL.
I really hated trying to come up with something for the Sports Festival Arc. I know how important it is to the story, but trying to come up with something to do with it was a goddamned nightmare. Retread the original storyline? Why bother. Come up with something new? What could I do that hasn't already been done?
Alongside that, I also lost interest in writing this story as well. As you all know, I have a whole bunch of other stories that I wanna work on now, stories written with a desire that I don't have for SoH anymore.
I'm sorry that it came to this, and I hope you all understand. Until the next update, keep it fizzy, and be good people.
