A literal, giant tear ripped open the sky over Jump City.

"Man, these things are nastier lookin' up close! There's more of them comin' out than us takin' down!" Cyborg yelled over the loud blasts as shot down them flying terrors targeted from the roof-mounted pivoting proton cannon; hover jetting through another section of the city in his T-Car.
"If we're gonna do something about that, I'm all ears!" He shouted over their screeching cries as he turned the twin front-mounted sonic blasters on them.
"Working on it, Cy." Robin grunted from the airborne creatures suddenly raining down laser eye blasts, swerving swiftly to avoid getting hit before adjusting the pop out energy blasters mounted in the front section to shoot down any up close attacking escaping citizens. "Raven, any progress?"
"This tear in the fabric of our reality -! It's spreading out faster than I can close it!" She struggled speaking over her communicator as she did her best focusing.
"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Visible projected dark energy emanated from her eyes and hands as the same energy covered the outline of the rift in their world.
"You got this, mama!" Beast Boy whooped for her before yelping, narrowly dodging a sharp clawed swipe from one of them diving down.

The highway ramp Robin was on broke in two from a collapsed building in front of him, compelling him to max out the R-Cycle's two jump thrusters to give him a big jump boost, soaring just as another torn rift appeared before him, blinding him in light.
For one slow moment, several blurry faced figures flashed in his mind.
