Me and my father then took a slow walk down to the common room and when we got into the common room it was empty. I felt my stomach start to flip at the fact that it was now mine and Cedric's wedding, we were on our way down. With every second that passed meant I was one second closer to becoming Cedric's wife, and this was something that I couldn't wait to be. As me and my father walked out of the common room, I threw a look around the common room before I left, and the thought came to me – that the next time that I walked back into my old common room I would be known as Mrs Hermione Diggory.
"This place is amazing" my father said as we continued our walk-through Hogwarts towards the transfiguration courtyard. "You have told me about Hogwarts so many times" he advised as he looked around the corridor that we were currently walking through. "And don't take it the wrong way-" he started to say. "But you have not did it justice" he advised as he looked back at me. "Sorry" he teased with a wink which made us both chuckle at each other.
"Can I tell you a little bit of a story?" I questioned eagerly as we turned and started to walk down another corridor.
"Yes" he nodded happily.
"It was right here-" I stated as I stood still, which made my father stand still next to me on my left hand side. "Where I met Cedric" I admitted.
"Was it?" he questioned as he pulled one brow up at me.
"Yeah" I nodded. "He actually bumped into me and knocked me to the ground" I explained. "It was an accident" I quickly added as I watched as my father's eyes widened at this. "I didn't get hurt, Cedric help me off the floor" I continued as I smiled at the memory of when me and Cedric first met. "He so apologetic" I added. "And it was from that our relationship only grew from there" I finished with another smile.
"Such a sweet story" my father noted as we started to continue with our journey. "One that you can tell your children one day" he stated.
"Yes, I will" I promised. "However-" I started. "Children are not quite on the horizon just yet" I confirmed. "Me and Cedric have things we want to accomplish before we start to head down that particular road" I explained to my father.
"So you and Cedric have talked about children?" my father asked.
"Of course" I nodded. "We have spoken about everything that we want in our life together" I confirmed.
"You two do seem very suited for each other" my father noted further. "And this is what me and your mother have always wanted" he told me kindly. "For you to find someone like Cedric, you are so alike" he offered happily. "You make each other better" he finished.
"We like to think so too" I smiled back.
"Here we are" he said as we stood still at the edge of the courtyard, so we were still out of sight from the rest of our guests, friends and family. "Just give me a second, I'll go and see if they are ready for us" he advised.
"Ok" I nodded, and I watched as my father dropped my left arm before quickly walking down the corridor and towards the courtyard to see if the others were ready for me to make my arrival. I took a couple of deep breaths to steady myself, this was it! This was the moment that I have been trying to make perfect for weeks, months even! I just wanted this moment to be everything I had hoped for anymore, and I hoped that it was going to be perfect for Cedric also. However, before I could fixate on this any longer, I heard a voice which made the hair on the back of my neck stand up on edge and my stomach suddenly tightened in nervousness.
"My my my!" the dark voice sang. "You are one beautiful bride" I heard them add which made me freeze. No! Not here! Not at mine and Cedric's wedding! This was not the time nor the place!
