When me and Cedric got to the main doors of the Great Hall we stood behind the closed doors for a few seconds, we could hear our family and friends talking happily as they took to their seats. We heard Professor McGonagall call order and the room fell silent, it was at this point in which the doors swung open, and we stepped inside the room.

The room then erupted into cheers and applause as we walked through the middle of the room as I took in the sight before me. The Great Hall looks so much different than it did when we went to school here. The four main tables had been removed and in their places was numerous tables were littered around the room, I had noticed that there was a small walkway so we could get through which led to a long table where the rest of the wedding party was sitting there waiting for us. The tables were covered either a dark red or mustard coloured tablecloth to resemble which side of the wedding party the people sitting at it were on and the centre pieces were of mine and Cedric's patronus's – Badgers and Otters. The ceiling had the very familiar candles suspended above it and the sky scene was mirroring the sky at the moment, but I knew that this would change as the day and evening went on. On the walls there were pieces of dark red and mustard coloured cloth draped elegantly around and in between them flowers that resembled my Bouchet rested.

As me and Cedric took to our seats, I smiled at the rest of our wedding guests. I felt so much joy and love in the room. And seeing everyone here to support me and Cedric meant a great deal to the pair of us, and we were both so happy that we were able to share this special day with them.

"May I have you attention please?" I heard my father say after we had finished a meal that was very similar to what we had when we were at Hogwarts. Professor McGonagall asked what food we wanted served and me and Cedric told her to keep it they way they normally did it when school was in session. Me and Cedric felt that this was the best way, as there was always so much variation that we knew that everyone would be able to find something that they wanted.

"Good afternoon everyone-" my father smiled to everyone as the room fell silent. "On behalf of me and my wife-" he continued as he and my mother shared a glance before he looked back at the room. "I would like to start by welcoming you all, and to thank you for coming here to celebrate this very special, happy occasion" he added cheerfully. "It is really great to see so many friends and family here together" he continued. "But a special thanks to those of you who have had long and difficult journeys, and following all of this I know that it means a great deal to Hermione and Cedric that you're here with them today" he added.

"Hermione and Cedric have been through so much together, and the fact that they were able to get through it just shows how strong a couple they are" he continued. "Every wedding is special, of course" he stated. "But to see your daughter getting married is something else" he advised with a proud grin.

"Hermione-" he started as he looked over to me with the same proud grin. "Our walk down the aisle today is a memory that I show always cherish" he said with a twinkle in his eyes. "You looked absolutely beautiful in your wedding dress" he continued in the same happy tone. "Hermione found it difficult growing up some times-" my father advised as he looked back to the room. "She felt like she didn't quite fit in, and this all become abundantly clear when we received her letter to come to Hogwarts" he explained to the room. "Everything seemed to click" he advised as he clicked the fingers together on his right hand. "She came to Hogwarts" he stated as he lifted his right hand and swept it over the room. "Made lifelong friends" he smiled as he looked over to Harry, Ron, Ginny, Luna and Fleur who all smiled back at him. "And met Cedric" he said as he winked at Cedric, who smiled warmly at my father at this. "And she only went from strength to strength" he grinned.

"When I look at both Hermione and Cedric I see that they not only care and love each other-" he continued. "They make each other better; they make each other whole" he stated. "I know they will support and get each other through anything that comes their way" he added confidently. "Welcome to the family Cedric" he grinned, and I watched as my father and Cedric both shared a loving glance.

"So-" my father started once more. "Please stand with me and raise your glass to toast the happy couple" he instructed, and everyone stood up slowly. "Hermione has always been the light of mine and my wife's life" my father added as he shared a glance with my mother before looking back at the room. "And today I hand her over to Cedric-" he stated. "I know he will love and cherish her every bit as much as we do" he smiled happily. "Here is a toast to a happy and healthy life full of endless love and laughter, to Cedric and Hermione" he finished as he picked up his glass and held it up.

"TO CEDRIC AND HERMIONE!" the room chorused as they too also lifted their glasses before they all took a sip. I felt my eyes start to water at this sight and I heard movement that told me a chair was being slid right next to mine, the next thing I know Cedric's arm is around my shoulders and is pulling me into a hug. He pressed a kiss against the top of my head, and I looked up at him. Even after all this time I still couldn't believe that he was mine, he was perfect for me in every way. He was everything that I had wanted in my soul mate and more, I knew Cedric felt the same way about me – and I really couldn't wait to spend the rest of my life with him and see what adventures that we got to go on with together, starting now.
