I had my first driving lesson today and I enjoyed it an it put me on a good mood which is why I'm updating for you guys.

"What's going on with you and Brooke man?" Nathan asks as we stand at the bar waiting for the next round of drinks.
"What do you mean?" I answer
"You guys seem pretty cosy over there talking earlier and then you asked her to dance. It just looks like Brucas is making a come back that's all"
A come back. Is that what it looked like? I mean I can't say that doesn't make me feel happy because it does, but Brucas can't make a full come back until I've spoken to Rose. I will not be that guy and I'm sure if I know Brooke like I think I do I know for a fact she wouldn't want to be that girl.
"I mean it was nice having the talk we had and I think we kind of know where we stand and what we want, but Brucas isn't making a come back this winter break"
"Really dude?" Jake adds and I nod "So what are you and Brooke doing then?"
"We can't and won't do anything until I've spoken to Rose"
"Fair enough" Owen pipes in "we get that"
"Here are your drinks" The girl behind the bar says "have a nice night guys" she flashed a smile and then went to serve someone else.
The guys and I took the drinks over to the table "So Jason and Dylan slept together that one time and now they are together and Jason realised he really did have to love on from his previous girlfriend when he found out she had a fiancé and was pregnant with their second baby" Brooke was filling the girls in on her college life.
"Here are the drinks girls" we out the drinks on the table "So what we talking about?"
"Brooke was just telling us that Jason and Dylan are a couple now and that you don't have to worry about Jason anymore" Rachel answers
Brooke slapped her arm "Rachel I did not say the second part" Brooke huffed making me laugh a little.
I went to say something when my phone buzzed for the third time tonight. It was Rose.
"I'm sorry I have to take this" my eyes connected with Brooke and I think she knew who it was. I gave a small smile and turned around making my way through the crowd to the back door "Hi babe" I say when I answer.
"Hey baby" her voice sounded so happy and cheerful and I felt like a dickhead, like a fool. I needed to have that conversation with her, hut I couldn't. I couldn't do it over phone. I wasn't going to be a coward like that and especially on the holidays, her favourite holiday at that "how are you? I've been trying to get through since 6" I looked at my watch and instantly felt bad. I felt the buzz twice already and ignored it because the first ring I was having the conversation with Brooke the second ring I was dancing with Brooke.
"I'm sorry babe, we came to a bar and it's very noisy in there" that wasn't a total lie.
"That's okay Luke" I could hear a hint of sadness in her voice that she tried to mask with cheer "I just wanted to ring because I miss you and I wanted to hear your voice"
God damn it I don't want to lead her on, but I also don't want to have that conversation over the phone. She deserved better. She deserves better than this.
"Luke are you okay?" she asks after I don't reply for a while. What was I meant to say to I miss you. I mean I miss her too, hut I miss Brooke more when we go back to college.
"Yeah I just..." I didn't know what to say. What do I say? "I'm just erm... Rose"
"It's okay" She says and my heart broke for her even more. She was being super nice about this which kind of made it worse "after thanksgiving even though you said what you said I already knew how this was going to go. I mean I expected you to drag it on"
"I don't want to lead you on Rose but I also didn't want to do this over the phone. I wanted to speak to you in person. You deserved that"
"And I appreciate that Luke and like I said it's okay. I knew what I was getting myself into. It's not like you weren't honest with me since the start, you love Brooke more Lucas, she is your one and I saw that at thanksgiving, but I suppose I had a little faith in our relationship that I let it go, but I saw it and I felt it and I hope you two can figure things out because believe it or not if this was a movie I would be rooting for you to be end game" she laughed a little. Taking me smile a little too "I'll see you around Roe and don't be strange because I would rather you be a friend"
"Me too Rose. I'll be seeing you around" and then we hung up.
I stay outside a little longer and just look up at the night sky. It was so pretty with the moon shining bright and the star glowing.
After a long while I went back into the crowded bar. I stood by the door just for a moment and looked up feeling her presence. Our eyes locked and I felt that feeling I always feel when she has that look on her face whenever she looks at me.
No one has ever looked at me the way she does and it grins hold of my heart every time. Everything about her screamed the one at me whenever I was around her.
"Hi" she says revealing her dimples "I was just coming to find you, the group is heading back to the cabin. We thought we'd grab a few bottles and continue back there"
"I was just... Actually never mind. Yeah I'm game" I reply following her back through the crowd.
We drive to a all night liquor store and then headed back to the cabin. My mind faded glad that I didn't have the worry of Rose on it anymore.
The group got inside and set up everything in the living area. They placed the bottles of drink on the coffee table in the middle with the mixers and everyone made themselves more comfortable on the sofas and cushions.
Brooke sat on the love seat and crossed her legs. I sat on the sofa beside her loving the feeling of being close to her without the guilt.
"Should we play a game?" Haley asked looking around the room.
I saw a light shine in Rachel's eyes as she jumped up her seat making Owen jump and smile formed in her lips "Never have I ever"
The girls groaned
"Rach really?" Peyton replied
Rachel nodded "Oh come on it'll be so much fun. I'll start easy. Never have I ever swam with dolphins"
Brooke, Haley and Jake all took a drink
"Your turn Brooke"
"Never have I ever slept with 3 guys in one day" she looked to Rachel who scrolled at her making Brooke laugh.
Rachel took a drink
"Okay my turn" Haley squeals "never have I ever kissed multiple guys in one night"
Brooke, Peyton and Rachel all took drinks
I looked to Brooke and her cheeks flushed a shade of pink "What, it was a crazy drinking session and Julian was being a dick as always"
"And besides before Brooke met you, Julian was her first and only everything" Rachel added
I did not know that.
"No judgement" I say holding up my hands "my turn" all eyes turned to me "Never have I ever slept with a girl in my car"
"Really?" Brooke asked and I nodded "woow okay"
Jake and Nathan took a drink
""Never have I ever had more than 5 girls at one time" Jake goes next
Nathan took a drink
"Okay so let's change games" Peyton says "how about truth or dare"
Another risky game.
"Lucas" Rachel says. I turn my gaze to her. I knew this was coming. I was ready for her questions "truth or dare".
"Truth"
"Is it true you are still madly in love with Brookie over there?"
I felt Brooke tense up beside me at the question, but I knew a question like this would come up. That's what truth and dare is about right... Get answers from people and call it a game.
"Yes it is" I answer seeing a smile form on Rachel's face
"Brooke" her eyes turned to me and we locked eyes "truth or dare?"
"Dare" she mumbled her lips hardly moving
"I dare you to climb onto my lap and kiss me"
I heard grasps around the room making me chuckle to myself. Brooke challenged me with her eyes to see if I was being serious. My eyes never left hers. She jumped up of the seat and straddled me. Her being this close gave me goosebumps. Her hands snaked around the back of my neck and then her lips met mine. Our mouths moved together in sync and I realised how much I truly did and do miss her.
I miss her a hell of a lot.
"Okay guys you have a audience" Rachdk says "this is a PG game You wanna make it X rated you have a room upstairs"
Brooke and I laughed as she climbed off of me and sat back in the love seat her lipstick smudged on her lips.
It became later in the night and I looked at the clock seeing it turn 3 in the morning "I'm gonna head up" I say seeing the girls laughing at someone on Haley's phone.
"Wait up Luke" Brooke says running I've to me at the stairs "I wanted to talk to you about erm... Well about that dare"
"What about it?"
"That wasn't cool. I mean yes I enjoyed it and I've missed feeling like that, but it wasn't cool to do that to Rose. You have a girlfriend Lucas and using the game like that is still you cheating on her dude"
Oh crap. I forgot I never told Brooke about me and Rose breaking up. I'm an idiot.
"We shouldn't have done that" Brooke mutters kicking her feet.
"It's okay" I say walking towards her "it's okay"
She stepped back and my heart dropped a little "you have a girlfriend Lucas, this isn't okay"
"Rose and I broke up Brooke" her eyes met mine "earlier outside at the bar when she called. I think she already knew somehow. We decided to stay friends"
"You broke up with her?"
"It was mutual" I answer reaching out and pulling her towards me "I would never have dared you to kiss me if Rose and I were still together pretty girl"
"I'm sorry for assuming" I run my fingers under chin and move her head up towards me and place a kiss to her lips.
"I've missed you"
"I've missed you too. So what happens now?"
"We begin our future together again and this time we do it right" a smile formed in her lips melting my heart.
"Really?" I nod
"You're my one Brooke and I'm not letting you go again"
