With Rosco in the hospital, Enos was all that was left of the Hazzard law, accept for the police commissioner, Boss Hogg, but he never really goes out on cases. He mostly stay back and eat, evident by his large stomach.

Enos knew that he couldn't catch this guy on his own so, he drove out to the Duke farm to ask for help.

"I hear a car." Jesse got up from his breakfast chair and peered out the window. "It's Enos."

"I reckon Boss Hogg thinks it's illegal to eat breakfast now." Daisy sighed.

"You boys get ready to run." Jesse instructed.

"It could be a social visit." Daisy suggested.

"Yeah, maybe he just wants to talk about what happened to Rosco." Luke added.

"Well we best be on our guard anyway." Bo stood up.

Enos got out of his patrol car and knocked on the kitchen door.

Jesse opened the door.

"Howdy, Enos. Come on in, ya want some coffee?" Jesse offered.

"That'd be great, thanks." Enos took his hat off an sat next to Daisy at the table.

"Howdy, Enos." She graced.

"Howdy, Daisy." Just saying hello to Daisy was enough to make Enos blush.

"I ain't here to arrest y'all." Enos looked up at Bo and Luke, who were hanging out in the doorway, ready to run.

"What're ya here for then?" Daisy asked.

"I just wanted to ask y'all to help me catch that badie who shot Rosco." Enos replied.

"Well, of course, we'd love to. We was planin' on offering anyway." Luke sat back down at the table.

"Is Corey alright?" Jesse asked.

"He's pretty shook up. Dennis hurt him pretty bad poor fella, but Pricilla's a little worse off. She's still unconscious in the hospital." Enos explained.

"I wonder what ticked him off?" Daisy shrugged.

"Some people are just like that, Daisy." Jesse was disgusted.

"Why don't we head on out to the Hartshorn place and see if we can't find any clues as to where he might've headed off to?" Luke suggested.

"Alright, I'll go crank up the General." Bo ran outside.

"Enos, you check all the roads to the county line, an' Daisy, you go to the Boar's nest like usual where you can keep tabs on all the phone calls, and Boss Hogg." Luke insructed.

"What about Corey, he's at my place alone." Enos asked.

"Why don't you bring him over here, he can stay with uncle Jesse." Luke suggested.

"Alright." Enos ran out to his car.

"I'll be gettin' off to the Boar's Nest." Daisy headed for Dixie.

Luke went out to the General Lee and the boys set off.

"Where is the Hartshorn farm?" Bo asked Luke once they were on the road.

"I forgot to ask..." Luke picked up the CB. "Hey, Enos, where is the Hartshorn place?"

"About three miles south of the widow Partirge's place." Enos replied.

"Alright, thanks, Enos, we're gone."

Enos got back to his apartment and picked up Corey.

"Where we goin' now?" He asked.

"I'm gonna take ya out to the Duke farm. They're real nice folks, you'll like 'em." Enos replied.

"You mean the ones with the orange car?" Corey asked.

"Yep, but for now you'll just be with uncle Jesse. Bo, Luke, and Daisy are out tryna figure out where Dennis went." Enos told him.

"When y'all catch him, I'm gonna give him what fer!" Corey shouted.

"He deserves it, don't he?" Enos patted Corey's shoulder.

"Who's this uncle Jesse, anyhow?"

"He's Bo, Luke, and Daisy's uncle. He's real good with kids, he raised three of 'em." Enos assured him.

"Okay, sounds alright." Corey shrugged. "How about Rosco, is he gonna be okay?"

Enos was silent for a minute. "Yeah, he should be..."

"I hope so, and Pric- I mean mom, what about her?" Corey asked.

"She'll be just fine." Enos assured him.

"Good."

Meanwhile, about 10 miles from the county line, Dennis was turning around to head back to his farm, he'd forgotten his most important thing: the $200,000 he'd stolen from a bank in Kentucky. How could he forget something like that you may ask? He'd just shot a policeman and he had to bug out fast. so anyway, he was almost back to his farm.

And what do you know, the 'ol Duke's luck, Bo and Luke were headed that very same way.

The boys pulled up at the Hartshorn farm and got out of the General. They headed inside the house and started looking through drawers and cabinets: they didn't know what they were looking for, but they figured they'd know when they found it.

And then Luke found it, a briefcase full of money: $200,000 to be exact. There were also some papers and newspaper clippings.

"Bo, look at this." Luke called.

"What?" Bo came over to Luke.

"A briefcase full 'o money." Luke showed him.

"What do them papers say?" Bo asked.

"Kent Austin arrested for the murder of Trisha Austin. February 8th, 1982." Luke set the paper aside and picked up another paper.

"Escaped convict Kent Austin. Austin was committed for life for the murder of his wife Trisha Austin last year."

"Who do ya figure this Kent Austin is?" Bo asked.

"I don't know. Maybe Dennis is Kent Austin?"

"Sure, he changed his name when he escaped." Bo added.

"Yeah, and then he figured he'd marry up with Pricilla and hide out here in Hazzard. His only problem was, he couldn't hold on to his temper."

"And your only problem is that you're going through my stuff." Bo and Luke turned to the voice behind them, the voice that was holding a gun.

"Stand up." He ordered. Bo and Luke did as he said. "What are you doing in my house?" He demanded.

"What do you think we're doing in here we're-"

"Bo..." Luke grabbed his arm.

"Come on, you two are coming with me." Kent (Dennis) ordered.

Kent led Bo and Luke outside, where Luke kicked the gun from him and both boys started punching him. Kent however, was quite the brawny one, and easily knocked out Bo, then Luke. Kent picked up his gun, stuffed it in his pants, and started to pick the boys up to put them in his car.

He'd gotten Luke into the car, and was headed back for Bo, when Luke awoke, keeping it secret though. Once Kent had picked Bo up, Luke snuck up behind him and kicked him in the back, causing him to drop Bo, which made him wake up.

Kent struggled with Luke until he was able to pull his gun, ordering Luke back into the car. Luke got into the car and looked at Bo, who was still laying on the ground, pretending to be unconscious so that he could jump Kent.

Kent tied Luke to the car and went to pick Bo up again. Luke knew that Bo couldn't take Kent by himself, so all he could do now was pray.

Kent pulled Bo off the ground and Bo hit him in the head with all that he had. It dazed Kent for a second, just long enough for Bo to pull the gun out of his pants, but Kent grabbed Bo's arm and shook the gun from him. The he hit him over the head with it.

Thinking quickly, Luke exclaimed: "Deputy Enos! Over here, help!"

Kent looked around briefly, before jumping into the car and drove of like a bat outta hell.

"Where'd you see that cop?" Kent demanded.

"He was jus' pullin' up at the farm." Luke lied.

"Doesn't look like he's followed me." Kent exhaled.

Yeah, 'cause he was never there. Luke smiled to himself.

Luke's little deception had worked, but all was not well: he'd just been kidnapped.
