At the Duke farm, Jesse was feeding Corey a snack.

"Oh, Mr. Duke! I forgot Ratzy's he's in the basement!" Corey exclaimed.

"Who's Ratzy?" Jesse asked.

"My dog!"

"Oh, okay, I'll CB the boys and have him bring him back." Jesse walked over to the CB.

"Shepard to lost sheep, you got your ears on, come back."

No response.

"Shepard to lost sheep, come back, boys."

Still no reply.

"Maybe they's in the house and can't hear." Jesse suggested. "I'll call 'em back in a while."

After 10 minutes, Jesse picked up the CB again. "Shepard to lost sheep, you out there?"

Silence.

"It ain't like them to not have their ears on." Jesse sighed. "Let's head on out there." Jesse grabbed the keys to his truck.

Jesse and Corey headed out to the Hartshorn place, just as Bo was waking up.

"Bo, what happened?" Jesse got out of the truck.

"Denn- I mean Kent came back here, hit me over the head and took off with Luke!"

"Who's Kent?" Jesse asked.

"Dennis' real name: Kent Austin."

"What?"

"Come're I'll show you." Bo ran into the house and to the briefcase.

"Murder?" Jesse whispered.

"He killed someone?" Corey asked.

"Looks like." Jesse continued reading the papers.

"I'll go get Ratzy." Corey headed down to the basement.

"We can't just sit here, uncle Jesse, he's got Luke!"

"I know, I know." Jesse picked up another paper.

"This here one says that Kent Austin robbed the Community Trust Bank in Kentucky." Jesse read it.

"That's the $200,000." Bo figured.

Corey ran up the basement stairs with Ratzy.

"I'm gonna go call Enos on the CB." Bo headed back out to the General Lee, but when he got outside, Enos was already calling in.

"Hey, Y'all, I've found Dennis' AMC on route 15."

"You did?"

"Yeah, I'm tailin' him real slow like."

"He's got Luke with him so we've really gotta catch him now." Bo urged.

"Okay, Bo, I'll keep on taillin' him."

Meanwhile, in Kent's car...

Kent picked up his car phone and dialed:

"Hey, Artie can I ask a favor?"

"Yeah, Kent, whats up?"

"Listen, things didn't work out too good for me in Hazzard... I'll need you to come pick me up at the county line tomorrow morning. I've gotten myself into a real mess, I've shot a cop, beaten a kid, beaten Pricilla... It's a long story, but by the time you pick me up, you can also add murder to that list, so, hone your driving skills."

"Okay, I've got it. See you tomorrow morning at the Hazzard county line on route 7."

"No, make it route 15." Kent corrected.

"Okay, route 15, see you then."

Kent hung the phone up.

"Incase you were wondering, plowboy, that murder charge? It's gonna be your murder." Kent chuckled, looking back at Luke.

Back in town, Rosco had woken up in the hospital, and Lulu and Boss Hogg went to see him.

"Are you here to see mr. Coltrane?" A nurse asked.

"Yes we are. Tell me, how is he doing?" Lulu asked.

"Much better now, ma'am. He woke about about an hour ago as you know, and it seems that he's going to be alright."

"Wonderful! Let's go see him J.D" Lulu urged.

Meanwhile, Bo had told Enos about all of the papers and money they'd found, and Enos was still tailing Kent.

The sun began to set, and Kent pulled off to the side of the road. He was about a mile shy of the county line. He hid his car behind some trees and got out to make sure no one had followed him.

Enos pulled off further down the road so that Kent couldn't see him, but now he hadn't seen exactly where Kent had gone.

Kent took Luke and led him at gunpoint deep into the trees and shrubs. After quite the long walk, he tied him to a tree. He didn't want to take any chances so, he made sure to use chains and a padlock as well as the ropes he'd already had on him. Then he gagged him, as a final precautionary measure. He planned to leave him there to die.

Kent headed back over to his car and planned to sleep there until morning, when he'd wake up and hitch a ride outta Hazzard with Artie.

Enos started combing the area on foot, until he finally found the backend of Kent's car. He slowly approached the car, gun drawn, but Kent heard him and whisked himself out of the car, gun drawn. It was all in who fired first now, and it was only a matter of a few seconds, but those few seconds determined weather or not Enos or Kent would be shot. Enos pulled the trigger first, and the bullet embedded itself in Kent's heart. He died almost instantly.

Enos was scared: he'd just killed someone! He'd also just nearly been killed by that very same person. Enos holstered his gun and stared at the body on the ground. Then Enos' thoughts went to Luke, and he rushed over to the car to get him out, but he wasn't there. Enos ran back to his patrol car and picked up the CB.

"Bo, you out there, come back." Enos' voice was shaking.

"Yeah, I hear ya Enos, what's the word?"

"I've found Kent and the car, but Luke ain't here."

"Luke ain't there?!"

"No he ain't, but, Bo, I've- I've killed someone, I've..."

"What? Who'd you kill?"

"Kent, he was about to shoot me! Oh God, Bo, I don't know what to do! I've-"

"That's alright, Enos, it's okay. You did it in self defense. 'Sides, not a soul on this earth lost any love for him anyway."

"You sure, Bo?"

"I positive Enos. Now, we've gotta find Luke."

"Yeah, we do, don't we."

Enos called the coroner and he took Kent's body away.

The Dukes ('ceptin Luke), Enos, Corey, and Cooter all set out to find Luke.
