After they finished exploring the island, the pair decided to make it back to the wrecked ship. The duo needed some food with the night about to fall on them. Thankfully, the Flim Flam brothers managed to load up the yacht with plenty of food. The pair grabbed some stuff from the cupboards as Pinkie began to work her magic. The party girl reached into her cotton-candy hair as she pulled out some aprons and chef hats.

"Lucky the lights still work, huh?" asked Sonata as the pair sat at a table.

"You bet. After tinkering a bit and adding some tape, we're good. Right, Gummy?" asked Pinkie to her pet plushie gator, who sat next to her.

"Yup," said Gummy in a deep voice as it belonged to Pinkie impersonating.

"That's good, but we still need to figure out how to fix the ship," stated Sonata.

"Well, it's too dark to look around the island right now," responded Pinkie.

"Then I guess we'll have to wait until morning, huh?" replied the former siren.

"Yup," said the party girl.

"Lucky I was able to check on the beds, and they seem to be in decent conditions," said Sonata.

"Much like everything else on this ship," said Pinkie.

The pair continued to sit in silence as they ate their supper. Once dinner was finished, the pair decided to get some sleep. The duo managed to fall asleep without any trouble as they dozed off. Two hours later, they started to hear a banging sound.

The noise was so loud that it got Sonata awake.

"Pinkie!" stated Sonata as she looked to wake her companion.

The party girl was fast asleep when Sonata reached over and touched her shoulder.

"Pinkie!"

"Huh?" said the girl as she opened her eyes and blinked.

"Did you hear that?" asked Sonata.

"Hear what?" replied Pinkie.

"Listen," whispered Sonata as she put her finger to her lips.

The duo kept quiet as they listened. Nothing happened for a few seconds until a faint banging sound was heard.

"We better check it out. Gummy and Laboon, you two stay here," instructed Pinkie.

The plushies stood there as still as statues. Meanwhile, their owners began approaching the door to their cabin as they slowly opened it with a creak. The pair peaked their head out with Sonata's on top of Pinkie as both girls looked both ways of the hallway. Seeing that there was nothing there, the girls began to walk down the hallway as they made their way toward the dining room. Sonata looked around, and everything looked scary.

"What do you think that noise might have been?" asked Sonata.

"I don't know, but it's coming from here," stated Pinkie.

As they walked to the dining hall, Sonata started to panic.

"At times like these, there's one thing I do to calm my nerves," said Sonata.

"What's that?" asked Pinkie.

Soon music began to occur out of nowhere.

?Boo!?

Sonata: ?What's that moving in the corner

What's that shadow on the wall?

Pinkie: ?Don't be afraid, don't be scared

It really is nothing at all?

[Pinkie and Sonata were walking toward the door as the last bit of the hallway was dark. The former siren pointed at the shadows as Pinkie merely put her arm around her shoulders and snapped her fingers as the darkness faded to show nothing but objects.]

Sonata: ?But I saw something in the corner

I saw that shadow on the wall?

Pinkie: ?It's just your imagination

Look! It's just the wise old owl?

(Whoo)

[The girls pointed at a nearby owl perched and let out a hoot.]

Pinkie: ?Boo boo, choo choo

Don't be afraid of the dark

It's easily explained, you see

Why things go bump in the night, boo!

Boo boo, choo choo

Don't wander from your track

And don't be afraid, don't be afraid, don't be

Don't be afraid of the dark

The little engine wondered

He thought and thought all night

Really nothing's changed. It's just the same

Just daylight turned to night?

[Bump sounds were heard as they continued walking, with Sonata still a bit scared. Pinkie continued to snap her fingers while singing as the darkness vanished in a cloud of smoke as spotlights shined down to reveal objects. The pair then approached the door as it flung open with the music still playing.]

Sonata: ?But something moved in the corner

A shadow crossed the wall

He closed his eyes, counted ten

And remember the wise old owl?

(Whoo)

[The former siren looked around the dining room as she saw more shadows, with a few moving about. Soon the scene transitioned to the perched owl as it hooted. The duo then began to sing in unison.]

Duo: ?Boo, boo, choo choo

Don't be afraid of the dark

When the lights go out, and you have your doubts

Why things go bump in the night, boo!

Boo boo, choo choo

Don't wander from your mark

And don't be afraid, don't be afraid, don't be

Don't be afraid of the dark

So, don't be afraid, don't be afraid, don't be

Don't be afraid of the dark

Boo boo, choo choo

Don't be afraid of the dark

It's easily explained, you see

Why things go bump in the night, boo!?

[The girl continued traveling along the room as there were shadows as they had eyes all around. Spotlights appeared behind them as they disposed of the shadows to reveal the many objects.]

Duo:?Boo boo, choo choo

Don't wander from your track

And don't be afraid, don't be afraid, don't be

Don't be afraid of the dark

What's that moving in the corner

What's that shadow on the wall

Don't be afraid, don't be scared

It really is nothing at all

But I saw something in the corner

I saw that shadow on the wall

It's just your imagination

Look! It's just the wise old owl?

(Whoo)

Duo: ?Boo boo, choo choo

Don't be afraid of the dark

It's easily explained, you see

Why things go bump in the night, boo!

Boo boo, choo choo

Don't wander from your track

And don't be afraid, don't be afraid, don't be

Don't be afraid of the dark

No, don't be afraid, don't be afraid, don't be

Don't be afraid of the dark

Boo!?

[The pair had made it to the center of the dining room as they stood on a table with the song and music starting to fade. All around them, darkness and shadows were shown before spotlights shined down at the snap of the girls' fingers. The darkness faded as it showed nothing around but the dining room as it was the same as when they were eating earlier. Both girls chuckled and laughed at they were laughing in the face of fear.]

Soon a sound caught their attention, and they stopped laughing. They got off the table and crouched to the floor as they put their hands to their ears. The pair then heard the banging from earlier.

"Sounds like it's coming from the kitchen," said Sonata.

The duo kept quiet and low to the ground as they crouched and walked to where the sound was coming from. They came to another set of doors as they pressed their ears and listened. There was a bang sound similar to the one they had heard prior. Knowing that sound came from inside, the girls took a deep breath as they prepared themselves. They pushed the doors open and saw inside. All they found was a monkey hitting a pot with a spoon.

"Aw, look, it's a monkey!" said Sonata as she was in awe at seeing the animal.

"He's cute," said Pinkie.

Both girls approached the creature as he saw them. The duo slowly approached it to show the animal they didn't mean harm.

"It's okay, little guy. We're friendly," stated Sonata.

"We promise we won't hurt you," assured Pinkie.

The girls continued getting closer to the animal as he stared at them. The monkey climbed onto Pinkie's arm.

"What's a monkey doing here? Better yet, why is there a monkey on this island?" asked Pinkie.

"Who cares? He's adorable," answered Sonata as she rubbed the monkey's head.

"He is cute. Hey, if a monkey lives on this island. There's got to be more food. We could restock some supplies." said the pink-haired girl.

"Hey, little guy, can you tell us where there might be some food?" asked the former siren.

"Pretty please with sprinkles on top," added Pinkie.

The monkey nodded but then yawned.

"Seems this gut is pretty tired," said Sonata.

"You wanna get some sleep?" asked Pinkie.

The monkey nodded as they walked back to their room. Along the way, Sonata stopped Pinkie to talk.

"Thanks for helping me, Pinkie."

"No problem, new bestie!"

"You know being stuck with you isn't as bad as I thought it would be," said Sonata.

"Wait till you try my banana pudding. After eating it, you'll think you've gone to heaven," stated Pinkie.

Both Sonata and the monkey were excited at hearing that as they were looking forward to the sweet treat. Meanwhile, a man holding a rifle saw the stranded ship.

"So, a couple of girls are here on my personal hunting island. No matter. One boat ride, and I can go back to hunting in peace." said the mysterious man as he disappeared into the bushes.

Author's Note: It seems the girls have found a new friend, but it seems there's another person also on the island as he appears to be tracking the monkey. The question now is: What will happen to the girls when they found out? As always leave a review expressing your thoughts on this chapter.
