As the girls carried their cargo back to the ship, they kept watch in case Crosshair was nearby.
"You think he's around here, Sonata?" asked Pinkie as she looked out of a window, scanning the shore and the area near the beach.
"Let's hope not. I don't want to become one of his prized trophies or worst," stated Sonata.
"He's probably patching up his face after Phil's scratch," responded the pink-haired girl.
Hearing her response was their monkey friend, who was jumping up and down and even doing several backflips, all while having a smile to show his pride.
"Well, when he does show up, I found something really cool to help us at Junk Harbor. Come to think of it, I saw a lot of cool stuff there," said Sonata.
"Oh, like what. Tell me! TELL ME!" asked Pinkie, excited at what her friend said.
"I'll show you when we get aboard and get Shila situated," said the former siren.
"Shila?" said Pinkie with a raised eyebrow as they approached the ship's ramp.
"That's the name I decided to call our new feline friend," stated Sonata as she gestured behind Pinkie to show the black panther following the pair up their ship.
After the girls got back aboard the ship, they began to set up Shila in a room that she would be staying in.
"There! Well, give me your honest opinions?" asked Pinkie to the large cat.
The panther merely looked at the small bed that Pinkie somewhat made as she growled. The party girl seemed to somehow understand what the cat said as she smiled.
"The important thing is your leg heels, and that Crosshair doesn't get to you," stated Sonata to the panther.
The panther growled as it walked over to the makeshift bed and plopped down before curling up.
"Alright, what's next?" asked Pinkie as they left the area to let their feline friend rest.
"I'll show you what I scored big on," stated the former siren.
Sonata then led Pinkie to the ship's main area as they had all the stuff they collected on tables. However, one of the tables had a cloth over them as the pair approached them. Sonata put a hand over one of them and, with a tug, unveiled five Katanas that she managed to find among the junk pile.
"Ooh," said Pinkie as she took in what she saw.
The girl lifted one up and tossed a cupcake she pulled from her hair into the air. She brought the sword down and sliced the sweet treat clean in half.
"Sharp."
"Very," answered Sonata.
"But why are they different colors?" asked Pinkie as she took the sliced pieces of the cupcakes and munched on them.
"Because these are perfect replicas of Roronoa Zoro's Swords. Every fan of the series knows these five swords by heart," said Sonata with a prideful smile.
"Ooh, what are their names?" asked Pinkie as she swallowed the food in her mouth.
"The white one in your hands is the Wado Ichimonji, Zoro's signature sword. The red one is Kitetsus lll, the Cursed Sword. The black ones are Yubashiri and Shusui. And the purple one is Enma. I spotted these swords aboard one of the wrecks and thought we could train ourselves to use these against Crosshair." explained Sonata.
"Fancy."
Pinkie was balancing a sword on her finger, as she didn't bother to let the danger of her being cut affect her.
"But what are we going to do if he decides to attack us while we're sleeping?" asked the cotton-candy-haired teen.
"We'll set up traps around the beach and an alarm system around the ship. If he tries anything here, we'll be ready," stated Sonata.
"Okay, but we can leave him here. He'll hunt every animal on this island to extinction," stated Pinkie.
"Then what do you suggest we do?" asked Sonata.
"We take him, prisoner. We capture him and take him with us to give to the police," responded Pinkie.
"Exactly. Now let's get ready. Who knows, he could be closer than we think," said the former siren as she looked out the window to see if they spotted their target.
"Right. The sooner we get this place rigged, the sooner we get to work on repairs," said Pinkie as she turned from the window to grab a power tool and was about to start working on some traps.
"Hey, who says we must hurry back home?" asked Sonata.
"What do you mean?" asked Pinkie, lifting her goggles up.
"Once we secure our area and find fresh drinking water, we can relax. Not like there's an active volcano here, right?" said Sonata, trying to info her friend that there was no need to rush them getting home, so long as they were prepared to deal with their hunter.
"You're right! That thing only happens in movies," stated Pinkie with a smile.
"So let's have some days to ourselves. I saw some video game consoles aboard the wrecks," said Sonata.
It was crazy to think that despite there being a junk pile on this island, most of the stuff managed to stay salvageable despite any traces of rain that had occurred in the past.
"Let's first set up traps before we get distracted," said Pinkie as she was all down for some fun, but first, they needed to keep themselves protected.
"Sounds like a plan. Let's get to it!" stated the former siren as Pinkie did something.
Pinkie approached the table of replica swords as she gave the Wado Ichimonji to Sonata, to her surprise. She reached for the Enma replica sword as she spoke.
"You found them. Only fitting you get the most iconic one," clarified Pinkie.
"Aw! Thanks," said Sonata with a heartfelt expression.
"No problems," responded Pinkie with a genuine smile.
The pair gave the other a quick hug as they were glad to have someone like the other to be stuck with on this crazy island. They soon pulled apart as they approached the piles of junk they scored and began to work on putting up some defenses and alarms to protect themselves from the hunter that was looking to get even with them.
Author's Note: It seems their new feline companion now has a new place to stay. In addition, the girls had managed to salvage some junk in hopes of creating some traps to deal with their hunter. Looks like we need to go a little Home Alone on this hunter. Also, what is up with that Junk Harbor and why stuff somehow manages to stay dry? Oh, well, I'm sure it's nothing.
