I"m doing my best to update as much as I can. There are several stories I'm working on so I'm trying to go back and forth. Recently I have not been able to update much at all because of how tired I am. But I managed to get to it. Anyways, here's chapter 14!

Cheeks of Glitter

Chapter Fourteen

Clyde didn't seem to notice Stan's presence, and instantly went to his smartphone browsing whatever was at his interest.

Stan stood up and knocked on the stall door. "Clyde?"

Clyde glanced up at the door with a gasp, and quickly flushed the toilet, not wanting anyone to notice what he had been doing.

Stan, however, clearly noticed, and stepped back with a sigh as he crossed his arms. He waited patiently for his friend to react to him. He knew that it wasn't his business to ask what was going on, and he almost turned away to escape the drama, because it was the last thing he needed.

Before he could leave, though, Clyde opened the door and stared at Stan while blinking curiously. "Stan?" he asked. "Um, I was just, um-"

"Puking?" Stan answered for him. He cleared his throat and stuffed his hands in his pockets. He decided it was too late to leave before his friend could explain things.

"I'm just so nervous," Clyde said as he turned his back on Stan. "I wanna ask her out, to the dance, but I'm nervous."

Stan cocked his head to the side. Asking a girl out and getting apprehensive by it didn't sound like Clyde at all, and that slightly bothered Stan. He felt like everybody was beginning to change and he hadn't noticed before. "Who?" he asked.

Clyde faced Stan again and bit his lip nervously. "Bebe." Bebe Stevens was Wendy's best friend, and Stan didn't blame any boy for wanting to go out with the curly blonde beauty.

"Bebe? Wait, haven't you gone out with her before?"

Clyde sighed. "Yeah, that's why I'm nervous. See, we went out twice, and the last time she broke up with me.I don't know if she will take me back."

Stan tried to think about what kind of girl Bebe was. She was a cheerleader just like Wendy, and Heidi for that matter, so she was popular. She could be very kind, but lately she had been a bit bossy toward the other girls. No surprise to Stan, because just like Wendy, Bebe was changing, too.

"Butters already asked Wendy to the dance," Clyde continued. "He has one and I don't. That's not good."

Stan peered up at the ceiling, not wanting to admit that he didn't have a date to the dance either. Sure, he had been going out with Heidi, but he never officially asked her. In fact, he wasn't even sure if it was going to happen at that rate.

To Stan's luck, Clyde didn't ask him about his own problems, and hurried to the bathroom mirror. "I mean, I look good, so nothing wrong with that, right?"

Stan shrugged, not knowing how to answer that. Afterall, it wasn't his place whether Clyde was a looker or not. "Look, class is about to start soon. Just man up and ask Bebe out." AFter that, he rushed out before his friend could say another word.

He knew that he was giving advice he should have taken for himself, but it was a different situation. Clyde didn't have to worry about Bro code like Stan did with Eric.

Stan was surprised that Eric did show up to school, just a few moments later. The obese boy got a scolding from Mr. Garrison, who surprisingly didn't get any insults or remarks back from him.

Kyle peered over at Eric quietly, but refused to say anything to him. Even though it was a bit sad what Eric was going through, Kyle decided it was a bit pathetic for him to announce it to the whole school. He didn't want to support him.

During their next session of getting over their peer pressure, Eric sat out for the first ten minutes as the class discussed their personal problems as if it were a support group. Eric, however, did not make any rude remarks on how stupid it was for them to be having this special class.

The obese boy kept to himself inthe corner of the classroom toning out the conversations. Butters in particular talked about how he always felt self-conscious around girls, but that he was beginning to feel better.

Stan didn't feel angry knowing that his friend felt better after getting his permission for going out with his ex, but did notice Wendy's behavior. She was fidgeting in her seat and flipping her hair in a way that wouldn't look too obvious. Stan, however, could tell that she was pleased, knowing that Butters was practically using her as his personal medicine, but in a good way.

Stan refused to look for Heidi, who was actually focusing on the notes she was taking. Nobody would know the reason for her taking notes on other people's personal lives, except that maybe she wanted to help people.

Eric specifically knew all too well that Heidi used to feel trapped, with all the bullying she had once had, but made her stronger by helping others. In fact, she was the only person that Eric briefly glanced at when somebody else stepped up to him. He hadn't realized that the discussion ended and the dance lessons were about to begin.

"Teacher says you need to dance."

Eric peered up at Jenny Simons, who looked a bit annoyed and apprehensive at the same time. She was one of the popular girls, and just like Heidi, started off as insensitive and mean until she had gotten bullied, by Eric of course. He never heard her give her stories, but knew that she was one of the few students who were dealing with peer pressure; not that he cared.

"We are partners," she said when he didn't respond. SHe held out her hand, attempting, but not expecting, to get his own. However, to her surprise, the boy accepted it and slowly followed her lead like she was the man.

Eric almost felt he wasn't fully there, so it was easy to take orders. As he followed her steps, he slightly listened to her words like she was the instructor. HE finally looked at her flushed face like she was embarrassed. Again, to her surprise, he didn't make fun of her. In fact, the expression on his face was soft. In a way, he felt comforted by her presence.

"Bebe Stevens, will you go to the dance with me?" That came from Clyde, who was turning away from his dance partner, Nicole Daniels. He was facing Bebe, who was stunned by the boy's sudden actions.

Stan watched closely, waiting for the blonde's response. HE was curious to see how things would go. It took a full minute, but Bebe finally answered, giving Clyde the answer he wanted.

"Yes, I will Clyde," she said with a modest smile.

Stan widened his eyes in surprise. Wow, he took my advice and it worked out, he thought. He could almost hear his conscience telling him to do the same. So, he peered over at Heidi, who caught his eyes.

The girl smiled like she could read his mind, and told him, with her eyes, that she wanted to see him at lunch.

Stan nodded in response, clearly understanding, and ignoring the continuous applause by the other students who praised Clyde and Bebe.

"Oh whoopie, congrats, Clyde!" Butters exclaimed happily.

Jenny turned away from Eric with a smile. "Girl, I told you he would ask you!"

Stan was beginning to feel excited with all the positivity, and felt his heart leaping with joy as he rushed to the cafeteria at lunch time. He searched for Heidi, and it only took a moment for him to hear her whisper.

"Stan," she said, motioning him over to the back table where nobody sat at. She waited for him to sit down across from her, and when he did, she grinned.

"Heidi," he started without a smile. He had to be upfront with her about everything. It was either risk losing her or risk losing Eric. He didn't care which way it went, he just wanted to get everything off his touch. He had to tell her how much he cared about her, but that friendship was important. "I have to tell you-"

"It's Stitch," the girl interrupted, clearly not aware that he wanted to have a serious conversation with her. "He's getting adopted."
