The next day, the girls followed Phil to find sustainable water. As they trekked along the trail, Sonata spoke with Pinkie as she was currently explaining something.

"And that's how Zoro got the Shusui sword," said Sonata.

"Amazing," responded the pink-haired girl.

Pinkie was in awe as she had been listening to Sonata explain the lore of the swords she found, as it was like jumping into a vat of rainbow sprinkles that exploded in your mouth.

"So you really think Phil can lead us to water?" asked Sonata.

"Fluttershy taught me animals have a natural survival instinct. They know how to find food and water," answered Pinkie, as she often was told by her animal-loving friend about how creatures thrived in the wild.

"Well, if anybody knows a ton about animals, it would be her. She really is a kind person," responded the former siren.

"Yep, it's great to have friends like mine," stated Pinkie.

The girl was unaware of how her answer affected Sonata. As the pair continued to walk, they didn't notice that a certain hunter was watching them from afar. He soon began his tracking as he tossed the toothpick in his mouth and began to stalk them from some nearby bushes.

"Target acquired," responded Crosshairs as he kept his eye on them as they kept following the trail.

As he was tracking them, the girls felt the ground getting moister.

"Hey... do you feel that?" asked Sonata to Pinkie.

"It feels... like the ground is... wet?" stated the pink girl as her feet started to get a bit soggy.

Phil chattered and pointed beyond some trees.

"What is it, Phil?" asked Pinkie.

"Look there. Look at what he's pointing at?" said Sonata.

The girls looked in the direction their monkey friend pointed and found he was pointing to a source of fresh drinking water.

"WATER!" shouted the duo as they looked at each other.

Both girls then began to pick up speed as they ran toward the source of fresh water. They bent down upon arrival as they began to take handfuls.

"Finally! It's been so long," stated Sonata as she approached the water source and bent down. She grabbed a handful and began to drink it as she was revitalized.

"Whee!" shouted Pinkie as she jumped over the former siren girl.

Pinkie decided to jump into the water and made a splash that got Sonata. The party girl then began to backstroke.

"Now we need to find some way to transport this back," said Sonata as she began to think.

As Pinkie was swimming, she spotted the sun shining off something. The girl followed the direction the glare came from as there was a shadowy figure among the bushes. The teen immediately knew it was Crosshair.

"Look out! We have company!" shouted Pinkie.

The duo took cover as Crosshair fired. The pair managed to just barely avoid his shots as the hunter made a sound.

"You normally shoot your targets hiding, Crosshair?" asked Pinkie as she drew her sword, Kitetsus lll, from its sheath.

"It's about the hunt for the game. All it takes is one lucky shot, and your prey is defenseless. That's why a snake lies in the grass while he waits for his prey to crawl on by." said Crosshair as he moved from where he was to get into a better position.

"We're not going to let you kill the animals here!" declared Sonata as she drew her sword, Yubashiri.

"You don't get to decide that, little girls. I do! And this is my island, so I do whatever, whenever I want! And can't nobody stop me or do a damn thing about it!" yelled the hunter as he moved again.

The girls then began to move as well.

"That includes killing us?" asked Sonata.

"Like they say, snitches get stitches. Or, in this case, they wind up six feet in the ground."

Pinkie peeked out from where she was hiding and spotted him. She informed Sonata of her plan as the pair split. The hunter looked through his scope, trying to see where the girls were. Soon Pinkie appeared behind him and attacked.

"Too bad your outnumbered!" shouted Pinkie as she swung.

Crosshair avoided a swing by Pinkie as he rolled out of the way of Sonata's attempt. The man was now facing both girls as he smiled.

"You didn't think I didn't come prepared, did you?" said Crosshair with a sinister smile.

Crosshair drew his dual combat knives as he took a stance. Both girls attacked him, but their techniques were amateurish at best.

"This isn't my first rodeo, girls. And it certainly won't be my last," taunted Crosshairs as he played with them for a bit before knocking them to the ground. Sonata then saw the scratch marks on his eye.

"Tell me, how does your eye feel?" said Sonata.

"Oh, I intend to make your monkey friend into a nice trophy," responded Crosshair as she clashed his knives against each other to make a sound.

"Not if we have anything to say about it!" said Pinkie.

Pinkie tried for another attack as Crosshair swatted her back to the ground.

"What was that supposed to be?" taunted the man.

"To be honest... I have no idea," answered the pink teen honestly.

"But it was a distraction!" shouted Sonata.

The girl made her move as she swung her weapon. Sonata stabbed Yubashiri into Crosshair's left foot. The man let out a scream as he felt the tip of the blade pierce his skin and felt the pain. He wobbled a bit as he felt some bits of red liquid starting to seep.

"Let's bail!" said Sonata as she grabbed her weapon.

"Don't have to tell me twice!" responded Pinkie as she grabbed her weapon.

The girls began to book it as Phil was swinging and leaping about the trees above them as they were looking to escape their hunter. They stopped when they were back at the ship.

"That was pathetic," said Sonata.

"You're telling me. We severely underestimated him," stated Pinkie, trying to catch her breath.

"So... what do we do now?" asked the former siren.

"We train ourselves," declared Pinkie.

Phil approached the pair as he was holding a stolen hunting knife.

"Thanks, Phil," said Sonata.

"Let's get serious," responded Pinkie.

"Bright side is we have a way to refill our water supply, we have the ship and beach rigged, and we outnumber Crosshair."

"Hopefully, that'll be enough. We still need to get off this rock," said the pink-haired girl to her companion.

"Right. At the same time, we should rig something up in case a passing plane or ship comes by," suggested Sonata.

"Then we got work to do… friend," smiled Pinkie.

Sonata couldn't believe it.

"What is it?" asked Pinkie.

"Nothing. Everything is okay. I'm... Going to go clean the blood off Yubashiri," said Sonata as she quickly disappeared.

"Okay then," said Pinkie, her voice still processing what had occurred with the former siren.
