5 days passed, and the emergency services that the girls had contacted started giving up searching for Pinkie and Sonata, much to the dismay of their loved ones.
"Anything?" asked Applejack to Twilight as the girl had gathered everyone.
"They still have had no luck finding them," the bookworm responded as she adjusted her glasses.
"Great! So, now, what do we do?" asked Rainbow.
"Uh... panic," responded Fluttershy with a squeak.
"That's your answer for everything!" retorted the chromatic-haired girl to her childhood friend with a glare.
"Guess the only thing any of us can do is hope they're ok," said Aj.
The girls all had concerned expressions as they looked up to the sky.
"You girls can do that. I'm going to give those weasels a thrashing. Anyone in?" asked Aria.
Back with the specific duo, they were having their own issues.
"That's the third motor fire we had this week," said Sonata as she tossed the piece away.
"And that was the last one he had. We're officially out," said Pinkie as she popped out from a pile of dust on her. She shook her head like a dog as it disappeared.
"Bright side is the electricity still works on the ship," stated the former siren.
"But we need a motor to get it working, or we're stuck here," said Pinkie as she got up from the pile.
"Then tomorrow, we'll have to hunt for a new part."
"Strange we haven't seen Crosshair lately," said the pink-haired girl as she rubbed her hair to get rid of all the dust in it.
"Probably resting his foot after our last encounter," responded Sonata.
"Let's hope we won't deal with him for quite a while."
"I know what you mean. I got a bad feeling we've ticked him off too much."
The former siren had a worried expression.
"Let's see if we can get anything done while he's not messing with us," suggested Pinkie.
"Yeah, your right. It's getting late. Let's relax." stated Sonata.
"Great! I got the movie room set up."
The girls began going to the movie room Pinkie set up as they got comfy.
"Hey, Pinkie... I never got the chance to say thanks for considering me a friend," said Sonata as she recalled what the pink girl said after their encounter with Crosshair.
"No worries. Besides, after all we've been through while stranded on this island, it's nice to have someone watch your back."
"I'll drink to that. So, what are we watching?
"A movie I originally packed for the cruise. Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder," said Pinkie as she revealed the box.
"Huh? Never heard of it. What's it about?" asked the former siren.
"It's based on the Futurama series."
"I watched a few episodes, but Adagio never let me see the whole series."
"Well... she's not here. So sit back and relax," smirked Pinkie as both girls settled in and got even cozier.
The two friends began to relax. However, their foe was planning his next move while they were kicking back. Crosshair was waiting impatiently on his docks.
"Where are they?!" asked the man.
Just then... five boats docked in his harbor.
"Well, well, well... Sporting a new scar, Crosshair?" said a voice from one of the boats.
"I've handled worse than a primitive primate," responded the hunter.
"I remember when you fought a lion and came out unscathed," said another voice; this one was more feminine.
"Don't test my patience, woman!" retorted Crosshair.
"There a reason you called five of the most deadly poachers out of hiding?" asked another voice as they gathered around their comrade.
"Yeah. How do you feel about a little... hunting?" asked Crosshair.
"Depends. What's the target?"
"A monkey and two intruders," said the man.
"We are in international waters. Are you implying murder?" asked one of the others.
"Get those girls off this island, and you all are welcome to hunt the animals here," promised Crosshair.
"Well... when you put it like that. When do we start?"
Crosshair grinned evilly, knowing now he had the girls outnumbered.
