Hey guys, sorry these crafter hero chapters are so short. Honestly, I started off with crafter hero as my primary fic, but Cooking hero quickly took my attention away, and somehow got better by like 10 times, so I have to balance two worlds at once cause I have issues with trying to commit to one thing. Chapters will get longer , so uh... wait for those.
Seems he's getting a slower build-up than his sister is getting. Powering up on his own will definitely be tough, even with the help of the entire castle, but's good to see he's got a good head on his shoulders for Isekai worlds.
Yep. Man saw enough anime's to see where this is going. Anyhow, onto the story!
*Clang….clang…..clang…..clang*
"Faster! Do you have any idea how much it takes to power that furnace? If you take so long we'll run out of any burnable material before you even learn how to make a half decent sword!" the blacksmith yelled at Jim.
*Clang…clang…clang…clang…clang*
Jim sped up as fast as his heavy hammer and average muscle mass would allow. The blacksmith, who's name was Egrevaht, was walking him through every step of how to make at least a decent sword, pretty much dictating every step and movement Jim made. He also made his own on the side as an example and Jim was doing his best to keep up, sometimes taking notes in a notebook he asked for from the king's advisor.
"Done?" Egrevaht asked, dropping his sword on the table.
Jim put his sword on the table and watched as a red glow appeared around it and his hammer. He checked the status and saw the 'Normal' turn to 'Good'.
Iron Sword
Quality: Good
[+25 Crafting Exp]
Jim smiled as the crafting exp bar filled, and his level went from 1 to 2. His stats rose and he observed his creation
"Not bad. For your third try at making something, you did a decent job. Alright, I'm off for today," Egrevaht said, leaving the room. Jim sighed and looked over the sword again. It was a huge pain to make this, but it was definitely worth it.
If I keep this up I could level up without even fighting anything. I wish I could get my hands on more quality boosting hammers. I could bash a piece of metal into a rough shape and BAM, a divine sword!
Suddenly an idea came to him and he fired up the forge again. While he waited, he swapped back to the small hammer and took a look at its status again.
Small Hammer N
Abilities Mastered: +3 Attack
[O]
"Well, I guess I'm not equipping it any time soon."
He swapped the weapon to the quality increasing hammer and began to prepare the materials.

Jim rested his head on the table as he waited for the holy hammer to raise the new hammer's quality up by a rank and watched it copy the new weapon form.
Steel Hammer
Quality: Good
[+25 Crafting Exp]
[Crafting Level Up]
Small Steel Hammer N
Abilities Unmastered: +3 Attack
[O]
Really? I thought the quality was good? I guess the 3 attack is good, considering how low the stats are, but this is still kinda disappointing.
He looked at his methods for a second and sighed.
Ok, so it did register, it just counts quality power, and quality up as two separate quality tags. That's good to know.
It was getting late, so Jim was starting to put away all his tools, when someone knocked on the door.
"Come in?"
An old woman entered the room. She wore a long dark purple cloak and a typical witch hat on her head. In her hands were a small book and tablet.
"Hello, are you the crafter hero?" she asked, looking around the room.
"That is me. How can I help you?"
"Well I was originally hired to help you learn the magic of our world, but once the king got word that the summoned hero didn't know our language, I was asked to come here and teach you our tongue alongside magic."
I guess learning magic would help me fight stronger monsters later on. Plus, who doesn't want to learn magic?
"That's great! How do I get started?"
"Well first, please put your hand on this," she said, putting the rectangular tablet onto the table. It had a small circle rectangle in the middle with black lines going all around the table. Several symbols surrounded the center, each with its own color. Jim guessed that the red one was fire, the blue one was water, the white one was wind. He couldn't tell what the rest of the colors meant, though.
Jim put his hand onto it and watched as the black began to fill with color. After a few seconds, the red and dark green symbols lit up.
"Fire and support magic. As expected of the crafter hero."
"Why is that expected?"
"Fire to light up the forge and make weapons, and then buff allies at the front lines. It was how the previous crafter heroes fought. You could very well find a new way," she replied, putting the tablet away. "Now, let's start with the basics. You'll get the hang of this in no time."

"I think that is enough for today," the witch lady said, walking out of the room.
Jim groaned and looked over his notes before throwing them all onto a shelf.
"Fire and support, huh?"
The two basic tomes lay in front of him, one for fire and one for support. Apparently each contained the possible spells said affinities could cast, and how to cast them. Jim would need to understand the language first before he could start blasting spells, however.
With a heavy sigh, he put the books away and crashed into bed, not even bothering to take off his clothes. Both mentally and physically exhausted, he quickly drifted to sleep.

"*Sigh*, is this all the troops we could gather?" A man asked. His ring shimmered in the darkness of the room, illuminating everything on the man's desk. He looked at his timer in the corner of his vision. It was less than a day. He saw what happened to the other country once the timer hit zero.
He called out to every large adventuring guild he could find to hire mercenaries but most either still didn't understand the severity of the issue, or didn't think it would touch them. He did manage to get a few strong people, their levels rising as high as level 60, and a few newbies who wanted to make a quick buck.
The ring bearer knew that he would be the one to kill the boss, he just needed someone to take care of the small fry and cover him while he fired off his attacks. His attack could let him take care of most high leveled monsters, however, his defense was lacking in comparison.
"Unfortunately," a knight standing before him answered. This knight was one of the strongest knights and fought many battles together with the ring bearer. He was in charge of organizing the troops and training new knights.
"Well, it would have to do. Suit them up with what we have and get them prepared for tomorrow," the ring bearer answered. The knight commander bowed and left the room.
Ring bearer sighed again and slumped back into his chair. The seconds continued to tick down, making him anxious.
"What a bother. I need to meet up with the crafter hero asap," he muttered, looking over the troop profiles once again.
