Chapter 3 - The Threat

In the previous chapter, Jennah rescued Tino from the gang of kidnappers, bringing him back to his home. The next morning, Jennah along with her friends were having a conversation at the bar. In that very moment, the team attended at the opening ceremony for the upcoming festival of the West. But unbeknownst to everyone except for Pobo, saw a mysterious stranger at the rooftop, pointed the sniper rifle gun to Tino, who was at the stage while his father Robert, was having a speech to the audience.

Will Jennah can able to saved the day from the upcoming threat? Will it could be the start of the love relationship between Jennah and Tino?

As the program ceremony went on, Pobo poked Hender on his shoulder. He turned his back, asked in a low tone voice " What now, Pobo? "

" I saw something at the rooftop. "

" saw something? of what? "

Hender raised up his head, looked up at the rooftop, saw the mysterious stranger, was almost ready to fired his sniper rifle gun at Tino. He was shocked in surprised.

When the mysterious stranger was about to fired the gun, Hender stood up and shouted in a loud voice " Everyone! Run!!! There will be an assault attack!! "

The people were surprised of what he had said including Jennah, was sitting at the front, stood up from the chair, wondered in a surprise manner " An assault attack?! "

And so, the mysterious stranger fired a bullet out of his gun, to Tino. Jennah, sensed the bullet's presence, rushed to the stage, released her sword weapon and her gun. She swung her sword to sliced up the bullet into pieces. The people including the admiral mayor were surprised in astonishment of what they had saw. Tino, was at the center, watching at Jennah, thinking that she had defended him from the bullet attack.

The mysterious stranger, surprised, and then he continues firing his rifle gun, to attack the audience. The people were terrify in fear, runs away from the stadium except for Jennah's friends.

Jennah, turned her head, told Valerie " Just bring the admiral mayor and the staffs to a safe place. "

" You got it, Jennah. " Valerie answered in response

" What was in the world was going on? Is this is the start of a new terrorism war attack? " Robert asked, with worried expression on his face

" Don't be anxious too much, Dad. You must go. " Tino told him, turned his head, facing to his father

" But, how about you, Tino? It was too very risky to fight without a weapon. " Robert asked

" I'll be fine, Dad. Just go! Go! " Tino said

And the admiral mayor left the stage, guided by Valerie while Pobo, Hender, Mica, Jennah and Tino were confronted the mysterious stranger with a sniper rifle gun weapon.

Jennah, pointed her gun at the stranger, said in a demand manner " Surrender right now, you and your weapon. You had terrorize the people by harming them. "

" Yeah, give it up! " Hender said

The mysterious stranger chuckled in an evil manner, facing to Jennah, said with amusement " So.. you must be the famous bounty hunter, Jennah Hexar, isn't that right? "

" How did you know my name? " Jennah asked

" Well... I had been learned from my secret boss, all about you... that you tracked down criminals and terrorists in across of the world, I'm right? " the mysterious stranger asked her again

" your secret boss? And what you had came here in the town? to launched an war assault attack? " Jennah asked, in a serious tone voice manner

" No, I did not came here to launched an war assault attack but to killed the target whom the boss ordered me. " the mysterious stranger replied

" And whom you are referred to? " Jennah asked him again

" You know... the only child of the admiral mayor of this town... named Tino Feriner. " the mysterious stranger answered

The others were shocked in surprised of what he had said including Jennah, turned her head, facing to Tino, who was getting speechless.

" You see... my boss ordered me to killed him is because... to get the highest bounty reward. So that why I came here in this town to killed him. " the mysterious stranger said

" Hold on... who was your boss anyway? I can't let allowed to killed anyone including defenseless men. " Jennah asked, in a loud serious voice manner

" My secret boss... was no other than, the one and only terrorist general invader of the world, Lieutenant Margeret De Ross. " the mysterious stranger replied

Tino, was terribly shocked when he heard the name of Lieutenant Margeret. Jennah and her friends were surprised of what he had said.

" Lieutenant Margeret... was their new boss? " Mica wondered

" You got to be kidding me, this can't be right! She was the arch enemy whom Jennah wanted to seek revenge with. But why she was the leader of the world terrorist forces? " Hender said in a surprise manner

" this is can't be good... " Pobo uttered

The mysterious stranger, pointed his weapon to Tino, shouted " Prepare to die, young brat! "

He fired an another bullet, to hit on Tino. Jennah, went to his defense, used her sword again, to blocked away the bullet. She swung so very hardly and the bullet was fell down on the floor. The mysterious stranger, was shocked.

" This is impossible! "

He was been pointed by Jennah, using her gun.

" Surrender or die. " in a low tone voice manner

The mysterious stranger laughed maniacally, tried to attacked her by a small blade knife from his pocket.

" Jennah!! " the three yelled

Tino, went down from the stage, rushed quickly, released his own firing gun, hit the mysterious stranger on the chest, dropped the blade knife on the floor, making Jennah was surprised.

" He had also have a weapon too?... but when he get that skill just like that?... " she wondered

" I won't let you to killed her, you criminal bastard. " Tino said, in a demand manner

" Now, their roles had been switched... Mr Feriner was protecting Jennah from killing attempt. " Pobo stated

" He's was not half bad... huh.. " Hender said, with impressement on his face

" Why you... you... young brat... I will never forget your face... the secret boss will gonna seek vengeance... all of you. " the mysterious stranger said to him and he fell collapsed on the floor, can't able to move and he was dead

Tino, rushed to her, asked " Are you alright, Jennah? "

" Yes, I'm fine, Tino. Thanks for back me up. I had never thought that you will used a weapon from before. "

" I have this, in case of defending myself if someone will gonna attack me or anyone else. I can't let those criminals to killed you. "

Jennah smiled of what he had said, making Tino was getting blushed in full red. That very moment, the two were started to looked at each other faces, in a romantic manner. His heart was getting pounded so very loudly on his chest as she looks at him.

After the incident, Tino returned to check if his father was okay. Jennah and her friends were behind him.

He went approached to his father, asked " Are you alright, Dad? "

" Yes, I'm fine, my son. What was really happened? Is this is the start of the terror war attack? " Robert asked, with anxious expression on his face

" It was just a killing attempt, Dad. So there is nothing to be worried about it. By the way, may I ask for one request? " Tino answered

" Shall you allowed me to come with them? " Tino asked, as he turned his head to Jennah

" You mean with Miss Jennah Hexar and her team? But... it was so very risky for yourself to go on a journey. " Robert asked him

His close best friend, Hitver was surprised, said " Yeah, some of the invaders will gonna catch you, Tino. "

" Don't go, my son. It was too dangerous. " his mother, Candy, said in anxious expression on her face

" Don't worry, I'll be fine. Jennah will be there to guard me at all the times. She had saved my life yesterday and besides, she was a tough and brave lady. If she does, she will gonna repaid all the things that she had done for me... for all of us, including you, Mom, Dad. I'm not a little kid anymore. I must do my things on my own, I promise. " Tino stated, with a smile on his face

" Miss Jennah will be your own personal bodyguard? Are you really sure about that? " Robert asked, with curiosity

Jennah, went approached to the admiral mayor, said " Don't need to be worried about it, admiral mayor Feriner. I will take the responsibility of guarding Tino at all the times. I promise. I will pay you back after the mission settled. "

His parents turned their faces for a seconds and after that, the admiral mayor said to Jennah, with deep sigh " If that's so, then I will allowed to take my son with you on your journeys and missions. "

" I understand " Jennah said

" But you have to promise that you will gonna take care of him, okay? Don't let him to put in some dangerous situations, is that clear? " Robert told her

" I will, admiral mayor. I'll kept that promise. I swear. " Jennah said

And the two shaked hands, as the sign of keeping the promise. Tino, was happy that he will allowed to come with Jennah and her friends.

Hender, tapped his hand on Tino's shoulder, with grimmed expression " Welcome to the team, Mr Short Guy. "

" Uh... thank you... " Tino said

" Be careful out there, my son. Don't let those criminals or any invaders to get or to killed you, okay? " Candy told him

" I will, Mom. " Tino said

" Stay safe, my friend. Just sent a mail anytime. " Hitver told him in a loud voice

" Okay, I will. Hitver, I promise that! " Tino said

Before they leaved the town, Tino have a farewell hug to his parents. He went hurriedly back to the house, to fixed up his things on his large backpack. After fixing all of his important things, he went downstairs, in which Jennah was waiting at the doorsteps, along with her own pet horse.

The two are looked at each other for the second time, in a romantic manner, as their hearts getting closer to each other.

Jennah, lend her hand to him, asked " So, shall we, Mr Feriner? "

" please.. just called me Tino instead and besides, we are now in the team, right? "

" Oh, silly me... sorry about that, Tino. "

" Don't be too apologetic, Jennah. I think we should depart now before sunset. "

" Sure thing, Tino. " with a smile on her face

Then, they leaved the town of Virginia, riding on their own horses. The people waved goodbye to Jennah, wishing her good luck on her journeys.

" So, where we going first? " Tino asked, turned his head to Jennah

" In the town of Connecticut. We need to tracked down a bunch of criminal who were responsible for bombing in every countries. We need to make to the town before night time. " Jennah replied

" Oh, I get it. " Tino said, nodded his head, then he was getting silent for a moment

" What wrong? Is this is your first time to go in a farther place? " Jennah asked

" Well... a while back... the mysterious stranger said that their boss name was Lieutenant Margeret De Ross, right? " Tino answered, still nodded his head

" Yes, but hold on... did you know about her? I guess I was getting curious when he said that name, you were so terribly shocked in surprised and so I realized that you had already know her in personal. " Jennah asked him again

He raised his head, said " No, I didn't met that person in personal. I was just surprised when he said her name. I had been heard some rumors that she was the most terrifying leader of the invaders. But wait.. but why you know her too? What was the main reason? I mean you are a bounty hunter.. "

She nodded her head, said " I guess I will explained everything when we get to the town, okay? "

" Okay, if you say so.. " Tino uttered

" By the way, Jennah. Did you contact your mentor, Miss Tanner? " Mica asked

" No, not yet. She was out of trip for two weeks. She will gonna contact us if she gets back. " Jennah answered

" Oh, okay. " Mica muttered

" By the way, Tino. " Pobo said

" Yes, what is it? " Tino asked

" You are 20 years old, right? " Pobo asked him again

" Yes, and what about it? " Tino asked

" Will you mind.. where did you learn on how to used a gun weapon back then this morning...? I mean... I thought that only professionals can able to handled it... but why you wanted to used a gun from the first place? " Pobo asked

" Because that... I wanted to used a gun in order to protect myself from attacking me by someone or any person who had been attempted to killed with. For in case of defending from harm. That's all. " Tino answered in response

" So that's explained it why you hit the criminal back then without second thought, huh? Nice shot, man. " Hender said

" Thank you. Oh, I almost forgot... I didn't tell me about your names yet. " Tino said

" My name is Pobo, it was a great pleasure to work together, Mr Tino. " Pobo said

" The name is Valerie. " Valerie said

" So, you are the one who guarded my parents back then, right? " Tino asked

" Yes, I am. " Valerie said, with a smile, with a thumbs up sign

" My name is Mica, it was nice to you in the team. " Mica said in a formal manner

" Thanks " Tino replied

" The name is Hender. We will be working together as pals, man to man, okay? " Hender said

" Oh, okay... it was a pleasure to work with you guys, Mica, Pobo, Valerie and Hender. I will do my best. " Tino said

Jennah, turned her head, looked at him, smiling. Also, Tino did the same way as she did. Their hearts were getting pounded so very loudly as it seems. That very moment, the two were started to falling for one another.

As their plan worked out, they reached the town of Connecticut before night time. They are decided to stayed in an inn for the night.

Later that midnight, Jennah was almost to get to sleep when Tino entered in, carrying a pillow on his hands, wearing sleeping clothes.

She turned her head, asked " Uh, aren't you supposed to be asleep at the other room with Hender? "

" I was feeled uncomfortable at the other side and so I decided to sleep with you. "

" Oh... " nodded her head, and with a deep sigh " If you say so... "

Tino sat on the bedsheet while Jennah fixed up her things including her hat, hanged at the wall.

" You should lied down now. We need to get out by tomorrow morning. "

" You shouldn't told me that. I'm not a kid, you know. "

She turns her head, said " Look, I'm more older than you. I wanted to be more responsible, is because I'm your personal bodyguard... and I will followed every of your orders that you wanted to command me. "

" Well, I'm so very impressed of you, Jennah. "

" Huh? "

" After you had saved me yesterday, my mind thinks that you have a great potential in saving the entire country from invaders and so... that's how I fell for you, Jennah. You are the first woman who has a kind heart to protect others who are in need. People in this world today are so very cruel and selfish, thinked nothing but evil desires and ambitions. They didn't have any care to anyone, especially to those who are less fortunate. "

There was a moment of silence between with each other. After a few seconds, Jennah went slowly approached to him, sat on the bedsheet, facing to him.

" I know of what you are truly feel with for others who are around you. I had finally understand of what is the meaning of true reality, Tino. "

He looks at her, said " Jennah... don't tell me that... "

" After all, my only goal is that to seek vengeance someone who had killed my parents a long time ago and that's the main reason why I chose to become a bounty hunter in the first place. But I have to understand of what was really happened not only in every surroundings but the whole country as well... even my own life that I take away with... for my beloved country.. my only homeland. "

" Jennah... "

The two are looked at each other, in a romantic manner. That very moment, Jennah touched the tip of his hair, through her index finger. Her face was pressed along with his. Tino, was startled by the reaction. After that, she pushed him down on the bed, lying down on the center position.

Then, she went nearer to him, started to seduced him. She whispered to his ears, in a low tone voice " I don't want to blame for this... after all, I was so very attracted to you... you are the first young man that I ever met with... even if it is a mortal sin. "

And so, she kissed him on the neck, making him to not able to move of his own body. Tino, thought that this is the first time in his life that an older woman touched him, without any harm.

After she kissed him, he said in a low tone voice " Jennah... I had never felt like this from before... after all, I was started to fell for you from the very beginning... you had showed me what real love is... even I had never been felled in love to a girl... I want to give you everything as you wish to as long as you stayed by my side, to protect me, to guard me, to caress me and to loved me.. I love you with all my heart and soul... "

" I love you too, Tino. "

Then, she removed off his clothes and the two were having a sexual intercourse with each other at the bed.

The next morning, the team were almost finished up packing, going to launched an attack at the hideout of terrorist group force.

But in a sudden, a mysterious stranger went approached, said in a loud voice " Jen, is that really you? "

Jennah, was surprised by the mysterious stranger's voice, turned her head, saw him and she said " No way... is that really you, Mark? "

" Is that really Mark Corine?! " Pobo wondered in a surprise manner

The mysterious stranger, who was at the same age as Jennah, wearing a clothes that it was combination of a cowboy and a ninja. He has weapon on his pocket and his horse was color white. He's also weared a hat, just like Jennah did. His name was Mark Corine, her childhood friend and a professional ninja warrior.

" I didn't expect that you will came here to meet me again in Connecticut. I was supposed to be hunting down an another terrorist group this morning along with my team. " Jennah said

" Oh, silly... you still haven't changed at all since we are childhood friends. By the way, where is your mentor? " Mark asked

" She was out of a trip for two weeks. She will come back after her work is done. " Jennah answered

" I see. After all, I miss you a lot, Jen. " Mark said, in a happy expression on his face and he hugged her in embraced, making her to get blushed on her face

Her friends were act in a romantic manner except for Tino, was not very impressed of what he had saw in his own eyes.

" He truly missed her a lot... " Valerie uttered

" Yep, after all, those two are quite so very perfect for each other. " Mica said

" Of course, it is. " Hender said, then turned his head to Tino, asked " Isn't that right, man? "

He saw Tino's facial expression, was getting mad, filled with rage, as he looks at Jennah and Mark.

Hender, tried to snapped him out " man, hello!! What the matter with you? "

But Tino didn't minded him, still keep looking at them but he was getting madder, but this time, with jealousy and resentment, as he saw Mark kissed Jennah on the lips.

After that, he stepped aside in, preventing Mark from getting near to Jennah, making the four were getting curious of his new reaction.

" I think something wrong with Mr Feriner. " Pobo said

" I had never seen him just like that from before. " Hender stated

" Excuse me, lover boy. Don't ever get near to her, got that? " Tino told him, in a demanding manner

" And who are you anyway? I was so very familiar with you... are you the only son of the admiral mayor, Mr Robert Feriner? and what was your business with my childhood friend, huh? " Mark asked, with amusement on his face

The two men were looked at each other, in different facial expressions, raged in burning flames. Jennah, was still standing at the center position, behind Tino's back, had no idea of what was really going on.

The love relationship between Jennah and Tino was started to getting bloom in one another but when Mark Corine, her childhood friend and sweetheart, entered in the picture, Tino was started to developed jealousy and resentment towards him and so the love rivalry between the two men, in different societies, has been begun. Jennah, had no idea of what was really going on.

Will Jennah admitted to Tino the whole truth about her secret past with Mark Corine? Will their love relationship will continued to go on?
