Chapter 4 - Mark Corine: The Childhood Past of Jennah
In the previous chapter, Jennah and her companions stopped the gunner, in which he revealed that he was one of the servants of Lieutenant Margeret. He tries to killed her but Tino, rushed to her aid, fired his own gun at the gunner, making him to fell dead at the ground. After the incident, he asked from his parents that he should come with Jennah and her team in their mission, despite their protests. As they having walked to their respective destination, Tino was immediately fell in love to Jennah at first sight. Later that night, they were stayed in an inn house. Somehow, he revealed his feelings for her, making her to be surprised of what he had said, and she accepted his feelings for her and the two were having sex. The next morning, when the team were supposed to be on the way to the next town, as an another man arrived in, in which he recognized Jennah as his childhood friend and sweetheart. Jennah, had recognized him as Mark Corine, who was now as a cowboy ninja warrior. He kissed her in front of the others, making Tino was jealous in rage.

After the face to face confrontation with Mark Corine, the childhood friend and sweetheart of Jennah, Tino backs out, walked away, going to an empty wasteland. Jennah, on the other hand, runs to find him in every corners of the city of Connecticut. After a hour later, she had found him, sat down on a huge rock, cradling himself just like a child.
When she walks in towards to him in a slow motion, he said in a low tone voice " What the think are you doing here? "
She nodded her head, said in response " Sorry, Tino.. I.. was... "
He stood up and he faced to her, with a mad expression on his face " Why you didn't tell me that you already have your own childhood friend? Why you didn't tell that to me from the first place?! "
" Tino, listen up... don't be mad just like that... actually.. It was almost many years that he and I were never met each other since graduating from the military academy school. Just like me, Mark Corine had lost his own family, was been killed by the military invaders, led by Lieutenant Margeret in his former hometown. He was been trained by his relative, Uncle Pancho, the brother of his father, who was a cowboy and a skilled ninja fighter. Just like me, he sweared that he will gonna tracked down Lieutenant Margeret... the one who killed his family and also my family... for vengeance. I hope that you will never getting mad about it. That's all. "
Tino, deep sigh in breath, paused for a moment and after a few seconds, he responded " Okay, I had understood of what you had said. I know that you and Mr Mark have the same goals but for me somehow, the truth is was... I was so very jealous to him is because... he had kissed you in front of me and I was thinking that you were so very attracted to him more than me. "
Jennah, went to his side, leaned closer to him, tapped one of her hand at his shoulder, said to him " I know that you started to hated him so much but somehow, he and I were still childhood friends and allies. "
" It was? But... "
She smiled, went on " He will gonna continued to support me at all cost and somehow, you are the only man whom I wanted to deserved with.. to be loved... and to be protected with. I swear. "
" Just promise to me that you will never lied to me, okay? "
" I will, Tino. "
And she gave a kiss on the lips, making him to blushed in red on his face.
" Shall we go back? The others are waiting for us, and also... to be apologize to Mark, okay? "
" Sure thing, Jennah. I will "
She held his hand, hold tightly and the two walks out from the scene.

(Long time ago)
After her parents were been killed by Lieutenant Margeret, she was been trained by Miss Tanner, the close friend of her mother, to become a brave cowgirl and a bounty hunter as well at the young age.
Despite of her status in the society and her deformity on her face, she was still accepted in a military academy school, to become a soldier. Miss Tanner always advised to her that she would never be totally involved in some other's people business and focused on your main goals.
As she was trained harder to become a soldier, she was became the top of the class, in which many of the students were started to getting envious of her new popularity but she didn't minded them, pretended to be alone, by trained herself in the arena during break time and to read books about histories of everything including war battles. But one person had noticed her personality and tactics, in which no other than Mark Corine, who was a little bit older than her and he was in third year.
He decided to talked to her in personal so that he will know her a lot and that was happened after the class sessions.
As everyone went back home, Mark went approached to her, was still busily reading an old book on her hand, while walking.
She paused for a moment, and turned her back, facing to him, said " What do you want? "
" Well... you must be the top of the class, Miss Jennah Hexar, right? "
" Yes, I am. and who are you? "
" My name is Mark Corine, a third year student. "
" Oh, it was a pleasure to meet you, Mark. "
" Me too, Jennah. " with a smile on his face
" By the way, why are you not going back to your home? It was almost sunset. "
" Well... I had noticed that you are holding a book while you were walking to your place. Somehow, you haven't been always talked to anyone in this school. So that why I wanted to talked to you so that I will gonna know of your true personality. "
" Mark, you see... " with a deep breath and she went on " you see... I don't have time to talked with other people around. I had spend most of my time reading books and do some trainings with my dear mentor of mine. "
" Oh, I see about it. You are struggling so hard to become a soldier someday. For me, I will be graduated next year. "
" Really? "
" Yep, it is. "
The two continued walking on the road.
" So, Mark. What was your main goal in your life after you getting graduated here in the military academy school? "
He sigh, and nodded his head " My main goal is that... to seek vengeance who had killed my family... to tracked down the evil invader, Lieutenant Margeret. That was the reason why I wanted to become a soldier so that I could destroyed her at once. She is the one who will never been forgiven... " gripped both of his hands, with a mad expression on his face
" Oh... I see... I have that same main goal as yours. "
" It is? "
" Yeah, my parents were been killed by Lieutenant Margeret when I was little girl. I was been raised by Miss Tanner, a close distant friend of my mother. She was a cowgirl and bounty hunter for years. She had treated me as her own daughter even though my mom has been passed away. So that why I came and enrolled in this school, so that I could tracked her down for good... for killing my parents... "
" My, geesh... I guess we got the same mission goals after we getting graduated from here. "
" Sure thing, Mark. "
" So, shall we gonna be close friends then? " as he lend his hand, to shaked along with hers
She was stunned of his action.
" Hold on... are you been scared that you will gonna shaked hands to someone? "
" Uh... not a little bit... "
And she lend her hand to his, shaking hands together.
After that, he said " So, shall we meet in the school tomorrow? "
" Sure thing, be careful. "
" You too, Jennah. " with a loving smile on his face
This makes Jennah blushed in red on her face. After Mark walks out, Jennah went back to the house of her mentor, Miss Tanner.
As days goes by, Jennah and Mark were became fast friends and classmates although some of the students were getting envious of their secret friendship. A year later, Mark was graduated with secondary honors and promoted to a police force officer while Jennah was graduated a year ahead of him, receiving highest honors and was promoted immediately to senior police soldier. Despite their struggles in life, in order to tracked down the person who had killed their families, in which no other than Lieutenant Margeret, the leader of the foreign invaders.
3 years later, they are finally see each other again in the tourist park attraction, in which Mark admitted that he had hidden feelings for her, in which she humbly accepted. Before they departed from the place, he turned his back, asked her " So, shall we see each other again... someday? "
" Sure thing, Mark. I promised that. " with a smile on her face
Before he could leave, he gave her a good night kiss on the face, in which her face was blushed in full red.
" Bye, my darling Jennah. "
" You too, cutie pie. "
And he walks out from the scene, in which her heart was pounded so very loudly, realized that she was really fell in love to a special man just like him.

Back at the present time, Jennah and her team along with Mark were continued their mission to tracked down the terrorist group. As they keep on continued moving, riding on their horses, Tino turned his head, facing to Mark and said in an apologetic manner " Um, Mr Mark. I'm so sorry.. for what I did back then... I was so very frustrated that you like her so much... "
" It was okay, Mr Feriner. I didn't mean that you had noticed it with your own eyes. And by the way... "
" Yeah? "
" I need to asked you for a question. "
" What was it? "
" Do you really like Jennah so much? "
This makes him to getting nervous, and his heart was beating louder on his chest, hadn't moved off his eyes from hers.
On the other hand at the town of Massachusetts, Lieutenant Margeret along with her troops were arrived, and started to attacked the town. While the invaders were still attacked every buildings and houses in every corners, some of the people were flee away from their homes while the others were been caught and badly tortured by the soldiers troops.
The Lieutenant, was impressed of the entire scenario, and then she smiled with evil grin on her face.
Will it could be the fated confrontation between Jennah Hexar and Lieutenant Margeret? Will Tino could able to recognize her that she was the one who had hurting him from the past?
