Boros breathed heavily, sweat dropping down her face. Geryuganshoop was speechless at the sight, not knowing whether to be proud or terrified. She was there, with significant damage and practically no armor.
"My lord, you're armor! It's broken!" He spoked aloud, diverting his eyes.
Boros looked up at him, mildly disoriented by the damage, "It appears so, and I thank you for your kindness but please, you must not be familiar with my biology if you're looking away. I'm not really exposed," she said.
Geryuganshoop opened his eyes, looking at Boros before sighing in relief. She had piercing blue skin with darker lines that formed around certain areas. There was a second eye on the top of her abdomen, which stared at him curiously. She was also muscular, but it wasn't giving off any 'dominator of the universe' energy. Despite that she was still gorgeous, barring the burnt face.
"My lord, I doubt anyone has seen you like this. Now please, may we go back to the ship?" Geryuganshoop wheezed, coughing at Boros' burnt scent with a red face, "And please, heal yourself. The scent is atrocious."
Boros stepped back and felt her face. She felt her cheek, feeling the stinging sensation that came with the touch of it. The pain put her back into her senses, making her eye widen. She dashed out of the arena and to the nearby lake. Boros then leaned over to look at her face. A sense of shock came across her face as the wounds became visible. They were actual flesh wounds, ones that could make her bleed if she wasn't singed. It was the sign of a great fight. A grin spread across her face, her heart rate being a little faster than it normally was. The smell then hit her nose, causing her to reel in discuss. Oh wait, it was her own face. She sighed and healed her face. Boros then cleaned her face with the water before going back to Geryuganshoop.
Geryuganshoop was on the floor breathing heavily. There was sweat all over his head, to the point where he spat just to get it out of his mouth. At least the ground provided a soft bed, albeit with a blanket of ash but still a bed nonetheless. He rubbed his eyes, looking at the sky before noticing a butterfly landing on his face. The immediate urge told him to kill the primitive being, but it was interrupted by Boros.
"Don't kill it," she whispered.
Geryuganshoop told absolutely still, not flinching. The task was made all the more daunting when it started to tickle his face, making his fed all the more red. The butterfly stood there, before going off and flying away. Some time later Geryuganshoop coughed a little more, sitting up.
"Why did you do that? The butterfly was awfully annoying," he asked.
Boros sat next to him, then looked back at the lake, "The planet feels peaceful, it's a little dirty but I find that the environment has a certain kind of charm," she admitted calmly, "May we relax here?" She asked.
Geryuganshoop scoffed, but after a few seconds shrugged. He already was too tired to debate his own thoughts, let alone leave altogether.
"Sure. Why not? My lifestyle changed this much, might as well relax here," he claimed, much to Boros' delight.
Geryuganshoop piled up some dirt and rested his head on it, looking at the lake. The piercing blue lake was the immediate focal point. The ship was always a dark purple, only given color by the screens that only showed a picture. To see something like this in person was so peculiar. Boros was similarly interested, gazing at the area, with an occasional bit of wind hitting them. It was almost worth dozing off to, but Geryuganshoop's aching pain was distracting at the moment. Despite It was a solid minute between them, with them enjoying the peace. There was no sound, only of the wind and the wildlife around them.
"You've gotten stronger," Boros spoke, breaking the silence.
Geryuganshoop moved his head over to look at her, "Yes, I didn't expect something so dramatic. As long as it makes us happy my lord. I can tell you're giddy right now," he yawned out.
Boros laughed out loud, "You know, I still can't believe it. I woke up today thinking that this experience was a dream, but upon observing myself I realized how real the experience was. And you're getting stronger? It'a practically a dream!" She yelled.
"It's a dream for now, but I'll plateau at some point," he murmured, too tired to be excited.
"Oh. Considering you're growth it seems like we have a long way to go before you plateau. I hope that soon you can rival my strength, excluding my meteoric burst of course," She confidently assured, before pausing, "mainly because without it, reality is just far to easy, and far too boring," she whispered under her breath.
Geryuganshoop stretched a little before sitting up.
"Boring? Have you ever considered getting a hobby?" Geryuganshoop asked inquisitively.
Boros looked aside and scratched her head before asking "It's been a while since I heard that word, can you define it?"
Geryuganshoop looked at the ground for a few seconds, before looking back at Boros.
"A hobby is a menial activity you commonly do for your own pleasure. Like one for you would be fighting. Do you have anything else?"
"Fighting is what I was born in, and it is what I've always lived in. I guess there is you, but that is only a mere extension of fighting," she admitted.
"Well then, try something," Geryuganshoop proposed, "You might be good at fighting, but what about other activities? We have documentation of the planets we've ruined, I'm confident that we can find something to your liking my lord."
Boros looked up at the sky and stood up.
"Yes. That sounds nice. May you accompany me?" She asked, a smile widening on her face.
"Of course my lord, just after a few minutes," Geryuganshoop yawned, laying back onto the floor, "I need some rest."
Boros chuckled, grabbing Geryuganshoop by the collar bone before running back to the ship. Geryuganshoop understandably screamed his heart out, terrified at the fast speeds he was going, and also because he was being pulled around at all. Boros laughed a little, running into the ship and zooming past her workers outside before they could blink.
"PLEASE MY LORD LET ME GO! I'M SORRY! I'LL BE LESS EXHAUSTED TOMORROW!" Geryuganshoop yelled, a sense of embarrassment running over him.
Luckily for Geryuganshoop, as he finished his sentence Boros arrived to her room, with a sweaty and shaky octopus in her right hand. Geryuganshoop released himself from her grip, his face red with embarrassment.
"I beg of you, not again," he muttered softly.
Boros was laughing with her hands on her sides, unable to to keep her composure. Geryuganshoop sighed before realizing his location.
"Why are we in your room?" He asked to a still laughing Boros.
She slowed her laughter before going to a section of her massive room, later coming back with a sleek tablet.
"I have access to the finest devices in the cosmos, with all of the information one could ask for. I haven't used this device in a while, so I'll let you use it. Besides, this room can be your reward. Not everyone has access to rooms more expensive than planets," she bragged, handing over the tablet.
The funniest part was the fact that there was no joke to it. Geryuganshoop already knew the price of each sheet of the wine colored bedsheets, or the endangered species used to make the carpets. Geryuganshoop went quiet, already feeling out of place in such a lavish room.
He grabbed onto the tablet, now starting to do research on other planets. There were a few areas of interest, particularly intellectually based games. He looked up to see Boros, who was changing into another set of armor. Huh, she really must have overestimated to universe to make so many.
"My lord, what activity will you find yourself most attracted to? Some cultures here involve reading literature, watching media, creating art, intellectual games, sports, and other things of the sort. Have you considered putting your mind on a canvas?" Geryuganshoop asked, putting the tablet up to show several images.
Boros looked at all of them, an unsure expression on her face. Her eyes showed interest in a particular few images, to which Geryuganshoop moved the tablet to see. They were of a group of people watching a film, some people playing with a ball, and a set of cards. Boros' eyes lit up seeing those images, not too much but just enough to interest her.
"Those images are rather striking to me," she said, almost caressing the screen, "May you commit yourself to researching these hobbies as soon as possible?"
"Yes my lord, but I know some of these activities by the images shown," he pointed out, looking to the image of the people watching the film, "These people are watching a movie, it seems. You should have access to this, so I don't doubt the idea that you can't entertain yourself."
Boros' eyes lit up, to which Geryuganshoop had no idea how to react.
"This is spectacular Geryuganshoop! Thank you for introducing me to this," Boros exclaimed.
Geryuganshoop smiled, straightening his posture when looking at Boros.
"You're welcome my lord, have fun," He said calmly, "Now, may I please rest? I can hear my bed calling for me."
Boros laughed before nodding, gesturing towards the door.
"You can," she answered, "Now make sure to make time for training tomorrow, maybe if you're lucky we can enjoy ourselves by watching something light hearted. Something to make you feel what I'm feeling."
Geryuganshoop looked at her and smiled, causing her to look at him and smile. He then turned to the door and opened it, stiflingly an awkward chuckle.
"Thank you my lord. See you tomorrow ," he responded, before leaving.
Elsewhere on the ship
Morphis stood by a screen, checking his list of tasks for the day. He looked around, not just for Geryuganshoop but for anyone. The room was unprecedentedly silent. Geryuganshoop worked tirelessly hours prior just to vanish, and Asriel was off doing something else. It was just Morphis, and some work, to which was rather peaceful. His big slimy self could just slouch in his chair, breath in slowly, and finish the-
Asriel rushed into the room, grabbed her stuff quickly, and left the room. The loud noise made Morphis jump, but as he turned back there was nobody there. After a second he calmed down, and got back to work. Maybe it was the wind, or the silence made him too comfortable. Eh, he needed some alcohol after this.
Asriel opened her room and threw some stuff on her bed. Her heart pounded as she leaned on the wall. She saw it. It had such speed, such power, and an explosion that came with a near deafening roar! Geryuganshoop actually broke Boros' armor. She calmed down a little and slowed her breathing, sinking down onto the floor. Was she scared or tired from all of the running? Fuck. Asriel slowly stood up, wiping off sweat from her forehead. It's been a long time since she's been this thrilled, so filled with adrenaline. She stood there, letting the feeling sink in slowly. It was a feeling of fear only shown the last time she had a battle. Geryuganshoop was strong, and growing really fast.
She paced around the room calmly, breathing slowly, passing by her little souvenirs from her home planet. They were medals, all of them shining with a gold gleam to them. They were rather exceedingly rare, only handed out to the most impressive gladiators. Asriel grabbed one and examined it closely, looking at the little scratches of one particular medal. She was the strongest, until Boros arrived, and now Geryuganshoop just came in and made a fool out of her without even noticing. Her ego wouldn't allow that.
If he can improve like this, maybe so can she. If he can rival the dominator of the universe, maybe she can too.
