Authors Note: I'm considering making these chapters longer. Maybe I will. I just wanted to say in case you were expecting them to be the regular 2K

Asriel ran across the field in the middle of the night. It was a relatively grassy area, around a mile or two long, where she ran from one end to the other. Back and forth, back and forth. She needed to time herself, and she needed to train herself. She did the math in her head. Geryuganshoop was rumored to throw things at near light speed, and he may even fight at those speeds, so she had to be faster. The problem was that she wasn't. She could zip around the clearing, fight at speeds that made Groribas slow, but no. Geryuganshoop was faster. She could go a mile in a second. It wasn't enough. It could be in a millisecond, it still wasn't enough. She could run so fast, beyond everything, except for Boros and Geryuganshoop.

Asriel would run, trying harder and harder, but it was useless. She couldn't match those relativistic speeds. She couldn't get faster overnight like him. Asriel eventually tripped over, her body then having a brief moment in the air until coming into hard contact with the floor. She tumbled across the field, coming in contact with a large boulder. It hurt, especially with the hard jagged rock that dug into her skin that happened due to her trying to approach those speeds. She shrieked, her feet falling onto the ground, tired and limp from all of the exercise.

"Asriel, wake up. I got us some breakfast," he said quietly.

Asriel opened her eyes to see Namor, sitting on the corner of the bed. He was really well dressed, wearing a nice blue suit and tie. She smiled and sat up in bed. "Aw shucks, what got you to dress up so nicely?"

Namor took a sip of his tea. "Eh, I had to schedule you're next fight in an early meeting. You're going to be going up against 'The Daring Demon' in about month. He's the best fighter in our neighboring planet. You'll kick his ass."

Asriel smiled and got out of the bed. "That's fucking great! Thanks," she said, walking over to the now standing Namor to give him a kiss.

He also kissed her, giving her a big hug as he leaned in close. "You're welcome. Maybe we can get a little 'training' later today," he whispered seductively.

"Yeah, training sounds nice," she murmured, groping his glutes.

The sound of their stomach's rumbling interrupted their foreplay, causing them to awkwardly laugh. Asriel changed her attire from a nightgown to basic buttoned up shirt and skirt. They moved over to the dining room where they ate their food. Namor was smart and enough to get salads with some fish on the side. She personally wasn't a fan of aquatic foods, but she was able to add enough seasoning to make it satisfactory. They talked about the current climate, they're luscious apartment, and the massive amount of reporters annoying them because Asriel won another global tournament. Fuck, Namor got annoyed by reporters for ordering food to go because a camera crew knew he liked fish. The questions were always so stupid that they were funny, 'Why did he change his attire to blue' or the not at all pitiful with 'What size are you packing is she's attracted to you,' It was wonderfully stupid.

Asriel finished her nice sip of tea and stretched a little. "So ya wanna watch a movie? It's a little early for me to train right now."

Namor shrugged. "I want to go for a walk. I know it's a little cold but I like the snow," he proposed.

"Sure. I could get some walking done," she said eagerly, "I'll be ready when you are. I'm not going out like this."

Outside

Asriel and Namor walked along walked along the desolate roads of the city they were in. The environment was filled with pearly white snow that melts into the darker buildings, and the roads were a little icy, allowing for Namor and Asriel to slip and slide how ever they pleased.

"Hey Namor, how good are you on your feet?" She asked deviously.

Namor paused, noticing the huge patch of ice. "You're not going to get me that easy!" He yelled playfully, skating on the ice.

She followed him, skating on the large patch of ice. Namor stumbled on the ice, but Asriel was able to catch him in time. They made their way through the patch of ice, with Namor becoming more used to the ice. They soon started to skate until they arrived to a place with ice. Asriel had a smile on her face, with Namor having a face that was extremely pale.

She looked over to see him, utterly confused. "Namor, are you okay?" She asked.

All Namor pointed up and yell, as projectiles rained down on the. They were the size of buildings, coming in at a frightening speed. Asriel picked up Namor and ran a mile as explosions could be hear behind them. She held onto him tightly, trying not to let go. After they got their distance from the chaos they looked behind them. The city that they knew went to dust as explosions created massive shockwaves. The projectiles came from a purple ship that was miles long. Ah crap another invasion. Asriel cracked her knuckles and looked over at Namor, who was still shaking.

"You got this right Asriel?" Namor asked, getting up.

"Yeah, just some more assholes. Stay safe now," she said confidently, giving Namor a little kiss.

He smiled before giving her a kiss before she started to head off to the ruined city. From the ship came a figure that landed onto the ground. There was no army, just one person. Asriel made her way to the figure, stopping around fifty feet away from it.

"Hey, who fuck are you?!" Asriel yelled to the figure.

They stood tall, clearing the smoke and locked her eyes at Asriel. "I am Boros, leader of the Dark Matter Thieves," she said firmly, "For years I've been searching from planet to planet for an opponent who can rival my strength. Are you the warrior of this planet? The one fabled to rival armies?"

Asriel sighed, at least this was different, "Yup, the one and only. Now you would've been fine but you seemed to have wrecked the shit out of this city. I'll make this quick," she bragged.

Asriel charged at Boros, preparing to punch her but was met with a slap. The slap sent her back a hundred feet or so, having her land on her back. Shit, that one actually hurt. She was going to have to be quick. She needed speed.

Boros was impressed at the fact that Asriel survived, and her eagerness to keep going got Boros to almost smile. Maybe this champion could do something, maybe they can dodge or even inflict a little bit of damage. Asriel then charged at Boros, running around her, so she stood still. Asriel proceeded to do a flurry of kicks to her back, then went around to uppercut her straight in the jaw. Boros flew up from the impact and landed her feet, to which Asriel was shocked by. This person was still standing? Crap. Asriel proceeded to punch Boros, but was interrupted with her grabbing Asriel by the arm.

"I'm already bored," Boros whispered to herself. With a simple squeeze Boros crushed her wrist, dissapoing her and causing Asriel to scream in pain. The scream could be heard for miles.

She tried slashing or kicking Boros but it did nothing. Nothing could get her to let go of Asriel.

"I was excited for once, but the warrior's flurry attacks felt likepokes. No matter what you do I can't get anything out of it. Yet all I have to do to is this," Boros said to her. Asriel kept trying to attack her head, hit anything to stun her. Boros replied by grabbing her ankle and squeezing it, twisting it to cause Asriel a huge amount of agony.

There, she was dead. This was a pitiful way to go out really, getting your limbs destroyed by some powerful leader. On the plus side it would be quick, and maybe Namor would be safe.

Asriel's eyes got watery as Boros grabbed her by the neck. "Let me just end it for you, make it quick. Then your planet can be dealt with for all I care."

Before Boros could curl her fingers onto Asriel's neck, a small force didn't tackle Boros' left leg, causing the leader to drop her and look behind her. It was so unexpected, so weak it was...Namor.

He stood in front of Asriel with tears in his eyes, pleading to Boros.

"Don't kill her!" He yelled, "Please don't kill her! She's a wonderfully person! Please! I'll do anything! I have connections, I'll manage your ship, I'll...I'll...please. Don't kill her...I love her..." he wept.

Namor couldn't help but tremble in fear. Asriel tried to get up, to which he helped her up with an arm in his shoulder. They stared at Boros, who provided a blank stare. She then placed her hand onto his shoulder.

Boros leaned into their faces with a blank stare. "This little warrior reminds me of my upper elite warrior, so she can offer strength, but you only offer to stain my armor," she whispered.

Namor was confused until Boros used her other hand to rip his heart out. He had his heart ripped out. He had his heart ripped out. He had his heart ripped out. There was blood everywhere. It was everywhere. On his chest, on Boros, and on Asriel. He had his heart ripped out. He had his heart ripped out. There was blood everywhere. He had his heart ripped out. There was blood everywhere. It was everywhere.

Everything felt like it was frozen, like reality was glitching out from witnessing it happen, then replaying it over and over.

Asriel vomited on the rock she was on, coming back to reality. She was still outside, with a bloody wound, and a dead fiancé on her mind. He was dead. She curled up into a ball and started sobbing. She was weak, she couldn't kill Boros, and she couldn't even pose a threat. She failed Namor.

What she wouldn't do for power, any of it at all.

There was a clear silence, one that was only filled with the soft wind and the cries of Asriel.

"You lack power," A voice whispered.

She stood up and spun around to find the cause of the voice, there was no one. "Where are you?!" She asked furiously. Asriel looked up to see a cloud above her. It was circular and barely noticeable, but it was where the voice was coming from. The wind around Asriel started to move faster as the cloud started to open up. Asriel's eyes opened as she came face to face with...something. It looked like a spiderweb made out of flesh, with a humanoid body. It was enormous, with it's movements stretching for miles

"What do you want from me?! Who are you?" Asriel yelled, clenching her fist.

"A fist of my creation has gone against me. A fist that you yourself loathe." They claimed. The being lowered it's hand close to the ground. It was huge, almost being able to fill in the clearing with it's finger. It was already difficult for Asriel to stand near it. She looked up at the being, having many questions in her mind. The hand stopped as it got close to Asriel, with it's pointer finger almost touching her head. "Take just a sliver my power and fix it. You won't diverge from this path. Kill for Namor."

Asriel looked around, she had no other option. This thing wanted Boros dead like her, and decided to give her the power to do it. They saw her hatred, and yeah they were capitalizing on it, but she could care less. Fuck it. She walked up to the being's hand and raised her hand to touch it. The swirling energy that came from it was mystical, almost from a work of fiction, but it was the only way. She touched the hand and everything went white.

Asriel opened her eyes and looked around. She was in her bed? She was in the ship? What? She looked at her hands, utterly confused about her sanity. What happened? A realization then came into play- she didn't feel much stronger, but she had no injuries. Asriel looked at her right harm to see that it was clean. She then looked up with a smile on her face. She has a gift. A gift that might not be apparent now but it could be something she can master. She can be death.
