Author's Note: Sorry for the mid-chapter editing. I was writing Chapter 12, and midway through I realized that it worked better as part of this chapter.

It feels weird to wake up early, especially if you're the first one to wake up. Geryuganshoop opened his eyes groggily, opening his body to see the dark ceiling. His body was noticeably sore and he really should stay in bed, but he was thirsty. Getting up from the bed, he went over to the dispenser and drank himself a nice glass of water. He also got himself some tea, which sickened him but Boros was right there. By the time he got back Boros was already stretching in her bed. She was already cracking her joints and fixing her hair, adjusting herself to the state of being.

He smiled, and got into the bed. "Morning Boros," he greeted.

She looked at him and smiled. "Morning Geryuganshoop, I can't believe you're up so early," she greeted, leaning over to him.

Geryuganshoop yawned as he stretched. "How's the nap? Were my tentacles a nuisance? I personally slept like a rock," he asked.

Boros chuckled, adjusting herself to sit cris-crossed on his bed. "No, you were fine. I'd enjoy to see you again for a night," she answered playfully.

He smiled before looking down to think. "I suppose. Sleeping with you was certainly a highlight, even if it was for a second time. It makes me wonder since it certainly makes our relationship a little blurry," he said dubiously.

She raised her eyebrow at the statement, but decided to turn on a decent tv built into her wall. She flipped through possible shows as she continued the conversation. "How so?" she asked inquisitively.

He put a tentacle on his chin and worded the question in his mind before looking at Boros. "Well, what's the difference between what we're doing and a relationship?" he reiterated.

Boros stopped scrolling through the possible tv shows that they could be watching and paused. She simply shrugged. "I-eh, I don't know. Other than intercourse it's truly hard to truly tell, but I'm never the one in a relationship. Why does it matter?"

Geryuganshoop put the back of his head on the pillow. "I just want to set boundaries, that's all," he admitted, "I get the feeling that you're growing internally, like you have an infatuation with me. I like to think that you're a great friend, but I don't know how committed you are relative to that. I don't want to be asked of something like mating for pleasure when I view us as something different."

She selected a show to watch and laid back. He certainly had an interesting point. There was a growing connection between them, but for it to be intimate? How much did she like him? Is she overstepping something? "Don't worry about it. We're friends. We've only been like this for almost five days after all. Besides, if I were to ask you for such a favor, I would've been in a relationship by now," she answered.

"Oh, I'll take your word for it. It's nice that we're on the same level here, and with us making it clear it just puts my mind at ease. Just try to avoid anything physical. Thank you Boros," he said, smiling awkwardly.

Boros draped a bedsheet over her stomach and put her arms behind her head. "Thanks. Now let's turn our brains of with a little mindless entertainment," she replied simply.

"I'll be doing something else. Can you pass your tablet?" Geryuganshoop asked, now drawing his attention to her device. He had an hour before his shift started, so he had time to kill. She gave it to him, which allowed him to play simple word games like scramble. It was fun enough but it felt too easy, he would change the language to make it a wonderfully difficult morning exercise.

Over the next hour they stayed segregated in their activities. On one hand Geryuganshoop would be sipping his tea, solving each puzzle with a clever solution. On the other hand Boros was looking at the show, but her body was facing away from Geryuganshoop.

Thoughts bounced around in her head, clashing and intertwining in ways that a week ago would feel immature. They were friends, that's all. It should be that simple but a side of her wanted something more. It has been so long since she felt anything, so this might just be a rush of emotions making her stick to the first person she finds. She wasn't sure, because Geryuganshoop clicked with her in a way that people in her home-world could never dream of. Boros looked up at the ceiling and stretched her arms out. They just need time, and she'll have to wait to see how she reacts.

Geryuganshoop looked up from the tablet and glanced over at Boros. "Are you okay?" He asked quietly.

She sat up and paused, turning over to look at Geryuganshoop. She curled her fingers to grabs the sheets as she inhaled a surplus amount of air. "I'm fine. I'm just in my own thoughts," she muttered.

He set the tablet aside and finished his tea. "Oh, that's interesting. Sadly I must attend to my work, but that'll be quick," he said confidently, getting out of bed.

Boros had a sigh of relief and got out of her bed. "Well then, I'll be ready for you. I'll try to win for once. I'll have to retain my title as Dominator of the Universe," she remarked, causing Geryuganshoop to smile.

"Try your best, but at the end of the day I'll be Lord Geryuganshoop and the master psychic," he joked.

Both of them chuckled as Geryuganshoop made his way to the door.

"See you soon, Boros."

"Bye Geryuganshoop."

The Maintenance Room

Morphis sat in his chair, pushing his pen around. The room was empty, only filled with the slouchy and gooey alien pushing the pen. At some point the door to the room opened, allowing for Geryuganshoop to make an entrance.

"Hello Morphis," he said happily. Popping a vitamin pill in his mouth

Moving over to the middle of the room Morphis waved at the psychic. "Hey, Geryuganshoop, it's great to see anybody at this point."

Geryuganshoop moved over to his electronic table, checking the ship's condition and tasks he had to do. He then looked over at Morphis and tilted his head. "Wait, Asriel wasn't here?"

Morphis nodded, "Yeah. She told me that she got injured after a brutal sparring match with Groribas, so I did her work for today. Luckily there's nothing to do today, but that's also the problem."

"You're right," he muttered, double checking his tasks for the day. The closest thing to a task that had to be done was a few emails and to clean up the equation that approximates the ship's resources. He smirked and looked over at Morphis, who was slouching in his chair. "There's barely anything, interesting. Wait, what did you say about Asriel?"

Morphis cleared his throat and scratched his head. "Um, she's injured after a sparring match with Groribas."

"She's training?" Geryuganshoop said, putting a tentacle on his chin, "Why would she be...oh," he muttered, before containing his laughter.

"I don't get it, is it funny?" He asked, almost annoyed at Geryuganshoop's laughter.

"Partially. It seems she wants to boost her ego after knowing that I kept up with Boros," Geryuganshoop explained.

Morphis sat up in his chair and looked at Geryuganshoop. "No not really. You see she wants to get stronger so that she can negotiate with Boros and not die. She doesn't like the whole planet conquering stuff, or at least that's what I think."

"That's what she's doing? Unless she's gifted, I doubt that she'll get far. Anyway, just tell her that Boros doesn't need to conquer planets, because I fill that niche," he proclaimed.

Morphis shrugged and got comfortable in his chair. "Ok. I'll be on my way to my dreams. Go finish your work and stuff, I'll be dozing off," he murmured, being closing his eyes.

Geryuganshoop went to look over at his work before quickly turning his head back over to Morphis. Their interaction was already going a little sour, he had to think of something to lighten the mood. "Well, if you don't have anything on your plate, would you like to...watch my sparring match with Boros? If she agrees that is," he proposed.

Morphis' eyes opened as his body jolted awake. "Wait Really?! Why would you do that?!"

Geryuganshoop lowered placed a tentacle on his shoulder and averted his gaze from Morphis. "I guess a small explanation would suffice. Boros lamented on how her power isolates her from the people around her, and just for the sake of curiosity I tried to be talk with you yesterday, to see if being powerful limits my ability to be nice. We started off relatively well and not the best today, so to make friends I'm offering you to...see my sparring match. I want to be friends with you," he stated. The words came out a little slower than expected, and it left such a sour and unpleasant taste in his mouth. He was saying this to MORPHIS.

Morphis stood there, taking in the offer and shriveling at how it came out. He looked partially confused, and the rest was him being in a seemingly catatonic state. After a good second his mouth opened. "Suurrreeee I'll chime in. When is it?" He asked.

"Oh, usually when I finish my work I message Boros, simple," he answered.

"Ummm Okay. See you then."

Geryuganshoop kept up a smile before getting do his work. Why did he do this to himself?

Outside

Boros ran in the middle of the battlefield, cleaning it up to look...acceptable. The few fights she had with Geryuganshoop already destroyed the place, reducing the once clean terrain to a broken and ash filled wasteland that was surrounded by beautiful trees. It was still easy to fix, with her flattening the ground with her sheer strength and moving the dust and ashes away with small waves of her hand that created decent winds. The arena started to look a little better, a little less like the wasteland that it once was.

She smiled confidently before sitting down peacefully on the ground. Geryuganshoop said that he would bring someone to watch. While she wasn't the biggest fan personally, she couldn't say no to him. The fact that he was able to get someone to watch them was surprised her, but she felt like it would make the match less...personal? Special?

Boros shook her head as Geryuganshoop arrived next to her. Next to him was an oily mess that was barely keeping it's composure.

"Hello Boros," he said . His voice was certainly excited, although a little nervous do to the person next to him.

"Hello Geryuganshoop," she greeted happily. She looked over to Morphis, who was behind Geryuganshoop. He was around her height, and extremely gooey.

He loosened his shoulders and extended his hand. "Hello my lord, my name is Morphis," he said.

Boros looked at his hand and shook it after a confused look. He had the guts to shake her hand, she'll give him that.

"Hello, Morphis. It's interesting to see an acquaintance of Geryuganshoop," she said, making Morphis chuckle nervously.

"Sorry if I'm jittery," he apologized, "I'm just not used to seeing you Boros, especially with the other strongest person in the- um universe."

She looked over to Geryuganshoop, as if she expected him to give a response.

"I know you too are not well acquainted with one another," he admitted, "I understand, you two just need to act casual. I'll find that you two will get along nicely." They looked at each other, laughing awkwardly. Geryuganshoop then telekinetically grabbed Morphis. "You'll be on the edges of the battlefield, and I'll have a barrier for you. Watch and enjoy." He then proceeded to move him accordingly and put a barrier around him.

Boros went up to Geryuganshoop. "Are you sure about this?" She whispered.

He nodded, which comforted her. He thinks it's a good idea, maybe it is. The gooey guy seems nice. Ah never mind. Boros cracked her joints as Geryuganshoop did the same. They then got into their ready standing, looking at each-other fiercely.

"I've been sharpening my form, so expect your expectations to be surpassed," she bragged.

"Passed or not, by the end of this, I'll make sure you bow down to me, Lord Geryuganshoop," he boasted.

Boros smiled, her sharp teeth becoming more apparent. "And I'll make sure you bow down because you won't be able to walk," she retorted.

Geryuganshoop chuckled at the comeback. Confident grins were on the both of their faces, and Morphis was just watching from afar with a confused but excited look on his face. This'll probably be the greatest fight he'll be able to witness. He sat there with great anticipation, waiting for a clash or huge explosion. As he waited, a thought kind of slipped through his mind. Huh, he should've brought some alcohol with him. Also what was Asriel doing right now?

In the Training Room

After leaving Morphis food in his room, Asriel got into another sparring match with Groribas. It was the third one. He was angry, swinging violently and trying to overwhelm her with attacks. With acrobatic skills and a familiar sense of swiftness she avoided them, though again her attacks never did anything major. Punch after punch, her progress existed, but it wasn't anything to brag about.

After a few minutes Groribas managed to backhand her. It was a sharp pain, sending a stinging pain that spread across her upper body. She was sent back a few feet, but got up with a wide grin on her face. He looked at her confused, before grunting and launching at her with an overhand strike. As he struck his arm down Asriel got on her back and did a leg press on his arm. The clash shook the room, but it sent the both of them back. Groribas stumbled back and felt his arm, with a sharp pain that stung.

Asriel laughed before lunging at Groribas. He backhanded her again, but blocked it with both of her arms before tripping him with a swift kick to the calf. Groribas fell to the ground with a loud thud, yelling in rage as he proceeded to kick her to the wall. Instead of sending her back or forcing her to dodge, she blocked it and was mildly pushed back. Her wide grin turned into confident laughter as she proceeded to bash his leg, causing deep gashes with her claws. He grit his teeth as his leg shook in pure shock. He looked up to see her, bewildered by the power she had. The pain drained him of his ego, as he looked grabbed his leg. His body had not been in this much shock, with injuries that Asriel could stick her whole fist in.

"AGH! What the fuck Asriel! Fuck, call the ship's medical unit!" He yelled angrily.

Asriel looked at her palms and then at the wincing warrior, with an eerie silence. This was the power they gave her. It was a superpower, an ability. It was beautiful, just what she needed. She then looked over to Groribas, who had a decent amount of blood on him. It was a start. She proceeded to dig her claws into his arm, tearing it like butter. He screamed out loud, confused at the sudden attack on his arm. He looked over at Asriel and tried to hit her, but she took the hit and proceeded to stab him furiously until the muscular alien went limp. Stab after stab, she felt a new sense of power with each time he hit her.

She got up and looked at her bloody hands. This could be Boros' blood. Her disgusting blood, agh, just thinking about it made her feel alive. She can fight her! She can kill her! Asriel laughed as she left the training room, leaving a bloody mess and a trail of red foot prints. She placed her hand on the wall of the ship as she ran, creating a deep scratches one the walls of ship. She ran through the halls quickly, darting around from place to place in ways that she couldn't have comprehended previously. In the blink of an eye, she go anywhere. She has become death, now she needed to kill, but where was Boros?

Asriel headed over to the ship's maintenance room, and went over to a computer to access security footage. She needed to find her location. Asriel then realized that the room was silent, she must be outside! Wonderful, now she can battle and escape this feeble planet with the ship. She's going to finally kill her. At first taking massive attacks, but soon acclimating and evolving before surpassing her and then...ending her.The sentence sent a chill down Asriel's spine, as if it were a dream come true. It was truly a beautiful offer from a mystical being.

After her laughter she grabbed the computer, letting tears run down her face. She was going to kill her! She ran out of the room and to different parts of the ship before arriving at the entrance. She's coming.
