A scary silence filled all the fortresses on Earth-Krypton, Earth-AU, Earth-TUD25 and of course Earth-359, which was the epicenter of the chaos…

All other affected Earth's were able to get spared, but finally realized what was happening and prevented that their doppelgangers got sucked into the void, too…

Earth-Prime…

"It really happened again?"

"Not like the last time! We could prevent it!"

"But some of them are trapped now!"

"Let's watch them! See what we can figure out!"

Earth-359-Jon opened his eyes and found himself back in the fortress again. Surrounded by his family, and countless of other people, who weren't there when he was first here…

Earth-TUD25-Jonathan opened his eyes, too and was surprised to spot a familiar face: His own!

"What the…? Oh my gosh… Jon-El?" Earth-TUD25-Jonathan asked shocked, believing his inverse doppelganger was back.

"Yes, Jon-El! And you are?"

"HERE IS NO JON-EL!" Earth-AU-Jonathan (Connor) yelled angrily when he regained consciousness, too. "I AM NOT KRYPTONIAN AND I HATE KRYPTON! Wait… where am I?"

"What happened?" the Jonathan-A.I. from Earth-Krypton said. Everyone gasped when they saw him.

"What the hell are you?" Earth-TUD25-Jonathan asked.

"Jonathan Kent!" the A.I. said.

"I am Jonathan Kent!" Earth-TUD25-Jonathan said.

"Jonathan Kent is dead!" Earth-AU-Connor said.

"What?" Earth-TUD-25-Jonathan said shocked.

"I am dead! But was resurrected when my clone Connor sacrificed his body to allow me to live. He is right over there!"

"I am not a clone!" Earth-AU-Connor yelled angrily. "JANET? JANET, WHERE ARE YOU?"

Everyone was too overwhelmed by the sudden appearance of those other Jonathan's that they realized too late, that everyone else was with them, too. But not like they expected…

They were still in Earth-359's Pacific-fortress! But there were all those other people now. All unconscious!

Earth-Krypton's Connor, Clark, Lois, Sam and even the pilot of the helicopter along with their seats and parts of the helicopter they were in there. Earth-AU's Janet (Connor's pregnant wife), her parents and the Lara-A.I together with the picknick-stuff they brought to the fortress. Earth-TUD25's Clark, Lois, Lara and Sam, together with the dining-room table and the chairs they were sitting on. And of course, everyone from Earth-359: Clark, Lois, Nattie, Jordan, Tal, Lara and Jor-El.

Everyone was suspended and glowing in an odd pink light that got weaker again. It looked like they were all frozen in place as if the time stopped for them.

Earth-AU-Connor, ran to his wife to look after her.

"Janet… Honey, are you okay?"

No response. Her face and the faces of everyone else looked as if they were in pain. Which was no surprise as they all had Jonathan's memory of his broken arm in their minds.

"I was suddenly in an alley, and my brother there, he tried to kill someone…?" Earth-359-Jon said.

"That Jimmy Cutter! Metropolis' worst bully! The newspapers called him that, after he tried to gain attention after my family's public exposure." Earth-AU-Connor said.

"Oh, yeah he was the worst!" Earth-TUD25-Jonathan said. "No surprise Eliza told me that she regrets it!"

"Who is Eliza?" Earth-359-Jon asked.

"Eliza Summers? I remember her! She dumped me when she figured out that I have no powers like my brother and tried to get together with Jordan after that!" the Jonathan-A.I. from Earth-Krypton told.

"Who are you guys?" Earth-TUD25-Jonathan asked shocked. "WHERE AM I?"

"I would like know that, too!" Earth-AU-Connor said madly.

They were alone! All others were suspended. Frozen in place and not able to respond or act.

"Okay…" now Earth-TUD25 was able to show his ability to calm down a situation and to show his matureness. "…we are trapped in some kind of interdimensional void; everyone we know is unconscious and we are on our own! There is no way to expect help from them… All we can do now is start to figure out what happened here anyway! So… Who are you?"

The four 'Jonathan's' came together and introduced themselves to each other. Telling them their stories. What happened in their worlds, what they did, what they experienced…

Earth-Krypton's Jonathan-A.I., explained how they got exposed, moved the Krypton-Island, and how the public pressure of being the powerless son of Superman caused him to lose his mind and turn insane. How he tried to run away and got kidnapped instead. When his severely injured body was taken to the lab to be kept alive artificially and cloned. And how his consciousness, that was saved on the crystal was later put into the clone named Connor, which meant he existed now twice. His clone Connor was unconscious, too. As he was not the original.

Earth-AU-Connor explained how bad his life became after moving to Smallville. It was the same like with most other Earth's. Jordan the one with the powers and he feels left out! When he took X-K his anyway lonely and sad live turned even worse. His parents isolated him on the farm. Yelling and scolding him for nothing or for trivia. Even getting physical, verbally abusive and tyrannic. Not supporting him or helping him when the whole town, that knew that he was not a dealer, scapegoated him.

How Jordan exposed the family secret when saving him from getting beaten up by the football-team. How he got taken to a lab after that, while his family ran away and abandoned him. Worldwide branded as Superman's useless, powerless son and the boy who brought shame over Smallville. When it was revealed how much Jon suffered under being the powerless one, Superman's good image was destroyed. And nobody accepted Jordan as Superboy anymore. Jonathan got help by the psychologist that was hired to break him (Dr. Tess Mercer) but chose to help him instead and was able to flee. When he tried to kill himself a day later after those traumatic events and the knowledge that nobody will ever accept him, he was saved by his father's doppelganger and brought to Tal's fortress where he met Lara.

Lara, who didn't know about his existence before, was shocked. She helped him to fake his death and gave him a copy of her crystal. Jonathan, now Connor, ran away. Jordan lost his powers as a punishment. Connor left and somehow ended up in Ketchikan, Alaska. He made new, true friends, met the love of his life, but suffered till today under his traumatic past… Especially when his powers kicked in, just one day after his arrival. When he tried to get rid of the crystals, Lara gave him, he accidentally created a fortress, where he was at least able to learn how to control them on his own. His father revealed to the world that he was still alive, but he continued living as Connor in Alaska, where he works as a social worker, has a lot of friends, is popular and successfully hiding his powers, he never uses. Or only in real emergency situations.

Not willing to forgive his family, that apologized countless of times in public, but prevent with the reveal of him being alive, that anyone in Smallville got punished…

Earth-TUD25-Jonathan had tears in his eyes when he heard that story and told his own. How they moved to Smallville after Jordan got powers. How his father only helped Jordan to adjust, how he felt left out and falling back more and more. How nobody supported him and how he ended up with the X-K. How it nearly destroyed their family but Clark got caught in the inverse-world and witnessed what it means to have a bad relationship with his family. Clark promised that things will get better, but they didn't. Even after the new family-fortress was created, Jonathan and Clark still didn't have the close relationship, Clark promised, or Jon wanted. And how his entire life is dominated by being in the shadow of his brother and playing second fiddle to him. Honestly not wanting to have to do anything with Krypton and being convinced that it only means trouble.

And there was of course Earth-359-Jonathan. Now Jon-El! Telling how he grew up in Boston. After someone left him in front of his parent's house. How he got caught, locked up in the lab and experimented on. How Tal found him eight months later and taught him everything about Krypton and their heritage. How he defeated Zeta and brought the Eradicator to Argo, where he was living for four years now in the house of El. About the visions he had and that they were the reason why he spontaneously returned to Earth where his powers were able to full show as his body was adjusted to the red sunrays of the Rao-solar-system.

"I can't believe it! So, I have three doppelgangers who are exactly like me and they all have powers?" Earth-TUD25-Jonathan moaned.

"Let yourself scanned or go to Argo for a while. Then you get powers, too!" Earth-359-Jon said.

"Argo? My father would never even ask me to take me there! He would take Jordan there only!"

"Oh… yours, too? Let me guess, your Lara doesn't know about you, too?" Earth-AU-Connor asked.

"She does! But I met her only three times. And my father didn't even want me to ever meet me!"

"With mine it was the same!" the Jonathan-A.I. told. "Just after I vanished, he regrated it!"

"Same!" Earth-AU-Connor told. "But she is nice! Tell her about how they didn't punish Jordan after he broke your arm. And Jordan loses his powers faster than you can say it!"

"Can you imagine how often I wished that Jordan has no powers?" Earth-TUD25-Jonathan said. "More often than you can imagine!"

"I had a lot of moments like that, too!" the Jonathan-A.I. told.

"How can you be activated while the other A.I.s are suspended? Or how can you wear this Kryptonian suit like him?" Earth-TUD25-Jonathan asked. "Gosh… you look like Tal in that suit!"

"Oh, thank you!" Earth-359-Jon said.

"That was not a compliment!"

"We should focus on what happened with all of us!" the Jonathan-A.I. said. "After my body died, I was connected with the knowledge of Lara and Jor-El of my Earth. I should be able to figure out how we can stop this. It is a matter of fact that we are all connected mentally. This is why we all had flashbacks at the same time. Are you two able to use your powers here?"

"No!" Earth-AU-Connor said shocked. "This place deactivated me!"

"Oh my gosh, me too!" Earth-359-Jonathan said. "That's not fair. I just learned to fly!"

"We are all connected!" the Jonathan-A.I. realized while analyzing the data he collected from them. "We all have something in common!"

"A bad father?" Earth-AU-Jonathan said.

"I had a good father!" Earth-359-Jonathan interfered.

"You are adopted! By a kind man. And his wife was the psychologist that tried to save me from Krypton. You don't know what it means!" Earth-AU-Jonathan said.

"Dr. Tess Mercer?" the Jonathan-A.I. asked.

"Yes! She was my mom! My full human name is Jonathan Mercer-Reynolds!"

"Dr. Tess Mercer? She was my psychologist on Krypton-Island! She tried to help me to flee!" the Jonathan A.I. realized. He turned to Earth-TUD25-Jonathan. "Do you know a Dr. Tess Mercer?"

"No! My Jordan went to another psychologist. After everything what happened, I should really consider talking to a therapist by myself."

"Could that be the connection?" Earth-AU-Connor said.

"No, I know that the connection between all of us is my father!" the A.I. said.

Suddenly everyone was upset…

The Jonathan-A.I. start to tell them detailed how his own father slowly turned insane after he vanished, and the family broke apart. Using the technology of the fortress to watch other Earths, interfere when a Jonathan there got hurt, or trying to find answers of how he could made it right, or making amends for his mistakes…

"The first world he interfered after the Clark there hurt his Jonathan after our doppelganger there had an outburst. His doppelganger there read his diary!"

"Gross!" Earth-TUD25-Jonathan murmured.

"On another Earth, he used a Martha-doppelganger to punish his doppelganger and Jordan's doppelganger for the barn-scene!" the A.I. continued.

"After the barn-scene I gave up!" Earth-AU-Connor told.

"My father lost his powers five minutes later. He apologized and pretended that I have a place in the family!" Earth-TUD25-Jonathan told. "I was so stupid to believe him and forgave him!"

"On your world, he saved you out of the valley you jumped in during your third suicide-attempt!" the A.I. told Earth-AU-Connor. "This is how you came to the fortress and met Lara!"

"Where was he when Coach Gaines used a baseball-bat to beat me in front of the entire town?"

The A.I. turned to Jon-El: "And you… you had the biggest changes! Normally he never changed the history or the timeline. But in your case, he travelled back in time!"

Earth-359-Jon was shocked. Suddenly everything made sense. With big eyes he looked over to his family. And then to his father's doppelganger from Earth-Krypton.

"Did he… he did it… He took me and left me in front of my parents' house!" Jon said shocked.

"He did! He took you away from the Kents, to let you live a normal life! Because they did with you the same like his doppelgangers did with each of us. But unlike us, he decided to prevent it from ever happen! How old are you?"

"16!" Jon-El said.

"That means, you are dead for almost a year by now! Or should be dead! I've detected an anomaly. And it looks like it's you…"

Jon-El was shocked when he heard that from the A.I. that was supposed to be death. That he killed himself because his father constantly neglected him in favor of his superpowered brother. And that he never even got to meet his grandparents. The same grandparents, who were so happy to see him just a few minutes before they got all sucked into this void…

Earth-Prime…

"This is horrible!"

"I can't believe it!"

"Tell me this is not true!"

"Clark, you go to our son now and talk to them! Then you take both to the fortress! And if one of them has powers while the other one doesn't, you make sure that the other one gets them. And if that's not possible, you find a way to take the powers from the other one! If you do what your doppelgangers did to one of our children, I file up the divorce!"

"I swear I would never hurt them!"

"CLARK…"

"OKAY…"

In the void…

"He… He never loved me?" Jon-El said.

"At least he didn't show it!" the Jonathan-A.I. said.

"That means… those flashbacks were… they were real? He… He really called me a shame for the family? My brother really broke my arm? And he really ditched me to rather go flying with him? And I… I would have never gotten powers?"

"I am afraid yes… you already know that you would never have gotten powers if you would have stayed on Earth. My father never considered the consequences of the timeline manipulation when he took you to bring you to your adoptive parents." the Jonathan-A.I continued.

Jon-El shook his head and tried to imagine it. Superman had always been his idol. A man he looked up to. How could he? How could he be so cruel to him? Just because he has no powers? Why not taking him to the fortress and check why?

"I… But… the DNA test? Our relatives! Argo? They said I am a full legit member of the house of El! Why…?"

"My father told me only one time that I am Kryptonian, too." Earth-TUD25-Jonathan told. "But he never took me to Jor-El or to Lara. And I think it's easier to deny it, than facing the fact that I am a Kryptonian failure."

"Yeah… with me it was the same!" Earth-AU Jonathan told. "I give you a tip: Leave! Leave and never ever talk to them! It was the best decision of my life. Jordan will use his powers ever and ever again to destroy your life. And Smallville will never forgive you. No matter how much you work for it. That place is a dead loss!"

"When my dad ditched me to go flying with Jordan instead, I really thought about that. And now even Jordan and grandpa told me I am useless!"

"I gave up Sam long ago!" Earth-AU Jonathan said.

"I am surprised to see my world's Sam here, too." The A.I. said. "I thought he is not able to walk anymore since that stroke."

Everyone looked on Earth-Krypton-Sam.

"What do we do now?" Earth-TUD25-Jonathan asked.

"The scan indicates that the time has stopped. We are not in my Dimension anymore. I guess we are in yours!" the Jonathan-A.I. said to Earth-359-Jon.

In worry, everyone walked to the gate that led outside to see that the world had came to a complete stop. A weird pinky light was shivering over the sky. Letting it look like as if they were on an entirely different planet. And the sea around the fortress was not moving eighter. The world looked like a blurred photoshopped mess. Jon and Connor were not able to use their powers anymore.

Carefully Earth-TUD25-Jonathan used his hand to feel the water. It felt like whipping cream. He was able to make a hole into the water. And when he took something into his hand and lifting it, it was staying in the air…

"Where are we?"

"This is not normal!" the Jonathan-A.I. said. "It looks like this entire dimension was trapped in some kind of interdimensional void to isolate it. It is your world, Jon-El! Antimatter is spreading around. During the last connection of us, we and everyone close to us and everyone who was affected by the last connection was sucked into this void."

"And why we are the only ones who are not sleeping?" Earth-AU-Connor asked. "And how do we wake them up?"

"I am in control of this fortress! Fulfilling scan…" the Jonathan-A.I. said. "…analysis complete… everyone is fine! Nobody hurt… It's a girl…"

"We know! We want to name her Martha!" Earth-AU-Connor told. "Joel is going to be a big brother, soon!"

"You hate Krypton, you never met Jor-El, but you named your son Joel?" Earth-TUD25-Jonathan asked confused. "Why you… ehm… why I should do that?"

"Joel is not named after Jor-El! Why should I name my son after a man who never wanted to see me because I didn't have powers?"

"Can we wake them up now, or not?" Earth-359-Jon asked.

"All of them would take a lot of energy!" the Jonathan-A.I. said.

"Just one…" Jon, respond and turned to Earth-Krypton-Clark. "…I need answers."

The Jonathan-A.I. let the power flow out of them and the weird light around Earth-Krypton-Clark vanished. Allowing him to move again.

"Aghh… Oh my god… it's over… hey… listen… I…"

Clark wanted to explain himself, but Jon grabbed him by the collar of his suit and used all his available strength to lift him from the ground and face him.

"What… happened to me? Why all this? What I have done that he hated me so much, that I decided to end my life?"

Clark lowered his head in shame and looked around…

This chaos was his fault! He only wanted to get him safe. But instead he made so many rapid changes in the timeline of his world that it was tearing the … apart. And not only that, he accidentally killed his parents, locked him up in a lab and then he ended up in Argo. A place he swore once he would never ever even fly over.

"I… I was doing it for you. He isn't the perfect father he always pretends to be. He always only cared about Jordan's powers. I know that because I did the same…" Earth-Krypton-Clark burst out in tears and cried waterfalls after that sentence.

All those memories coming back. And they hurt. The Jonathans already knew that story by now, as it got told by the A.I. that was once his son…

"…I only wanted the best for you… you… your story had absolutely no happy end… so… I took you… and brought you to your new parents. I… I never expected you to end… to end like this…"

Clark looked on Jonathan's Kryptonian suit and the house-of-El crest he wore so proudly. On purpose, he didn't mention that he could hear everything while he was frozen. And that everyone else in the fortress could hear everything, too…

And hearing their respective stories made everyone sad, pensive, angry and moody at the same time.

"I…I never wanted you to end up like this! Put in a lab… or forced to live in Argo City…"

The other Jonathans couldn't believe that their doppelganger was wearing this Kryptonian-suit, that looked exactly like Tal's (except the different crest) voluntarily or was allowed to wear it at all. Earth-TUD25-Jonathan wanted to leave but he couldn't move. Eighter could his adult doppelganger from Earth-AU! But they were trapped here in this odd, frozen dimension…

"What… was the reason? The final reason for me… to… do it?" Earth-359-Jon asked with trembling voice. He feared the answer, but he needed it.

Earth-Krypton-Clark starts to cry again… he knew exactly what the final reason for this boy was to end his miserable life…

"Your… your father offered you to talk! After he treated you so bad and so… terrible… and you… you waited for him… you did chores on the farm! And he… instead of talking to you… he… went flying with your brother…"

A cold shiver ran down Jon's back. And all others who could rely to this certain moment, too… the most embarrassing moment in their lives!

"…and he forgot you… you…" more tears ran down Clark's face. "…you start to yell… to cry… and… and he… he scolded you for not congratulating your brother… and he was so ignorant… and you… you… you took the gun of your grandfather, that you once found in the attic… and… and… in your room you…"

Suddenly another flashback hit Jon at full force…

Sitting in a dull room… Posters and trophies torn off the walls and stuffed into a trash bin. Someone hammering upset against his door… Jon holding a gun and tears falling… And then Jon lifting the gun to shoot directly into his face…

The flashback end… and Jon burst out in tears, too…
