"Good you're early."Dumbledore said as Hermione entered his office behind three of her guards.Three more were trailing behind her.She hadn't been told exactly who she was meeting but figured by the way Dumbledore approved of her guards being there that some if not all of these people were dangerous.If they weren't he would have asked the Veela to stay outside.

"I'm always early."Hermione was usually at least fifteen minutes early to every appointment.It was important to her that she not make people wait.

"That's because you have impeccable manners."Minerva said proudly.

"Regardless it gives us some time to explain who you are going to meet.The people who are coming tonight are members of the Order of the Phoenix.I know Minerva, Severus and myself have taught you about their role in the first war against the Dark Lord so you will most likely recognize some of the people that are going to be here.I'm not including all the members as I feel that what we are going to reveal should be kept amongst as few people as possible.All the ones that have accepted my invitation are the most trustworthy and loyal."Dumbledore explained.

"For this meeting I want you to stand to the side with your guards and pay close attention to the reactions and body language of each of the members.I know you have been practicing and even if you don't understand why someone was doing something I want you to take note of it and report back to us when we are alone everything you see."Severus knew that when Hermione was focused on something she took in every detail.It was why she was the perfect person to observe things.The fact that she was trying to understand human behavior made her see things that others missed or overlooked thinking it was normal.Hermione had the ability to come off as harmless and unassuming and it made her the perfect spy.

"Of course Sev."Hermione moved to the side with her guards surrounding her leaving enough space in front of her so she could see the room and still be protected.

"Here they come."Minerva said as they saw the smoke in the fire place change color and a red headed woman followed by a red headed man step into the room.

"Thank you for coming Arthur, Molly."Dumbledore politely greeted the heads of the Weasley family.

"Well you said it was important so we figured we would come."Molly looked around the room and noticing Hermione in the corner asked."What is she doing here?"

"Hermione unfortunately is involved in what I wanted to speak to you about."Dumbledore was going to keep everything about Hermione need to know.He knew she was going to be a big part of defeating Tom but he was going to keep her as sheltered from the public as he could.The girl not only didn't want the attention but it would be safer for her to be exposed to the least amount of people possible.

Before Molly could say anything else a line of people made their way out of the fire place.When a dark brown curly haired woman Molly grew incredibly angry."Who the hell invited that traitor?!"

"Molly calm down."Arthur patted his wife on the arm.

"No I will not calm down.How dare you show your face here after you helped steal my rightful inheritance!"Molly screamed.

Andromeda rolled her eyes at the red headed woman."I stole nothing from you Molly."

"You may have not personally taken it but you are in cahoots with the person who did!"Molly said.

"I have nothing to do with what the new Head of Household has done.I was simply asked to take the Black seat and I have done so.What happened to you is none of my business."Andromeda told her.

"That means you know who the person is who is making the false claim and you will tell me who that is right now!"Molly demanded.

"I will tell you the new Head of Household's claim was proven legal during the case against Lucius Malfoy and that person has all the legal rights to the estates.If you have a problem with that I'm sure you can send them a letter."Andromeda dismissed the woman and seeing Hermione she walked over to the girl."Hello Hermione."

"Wotcha Hermione."Nymphadora greeted as she walked up to the girl.She leaned in for a hug but her mother stopped her before she could.

"Hello Andromeda, hello Dora."Hermione was happy Andromeda stopped the hug from happening.

"Who is the girl Dumbledore?"The real Moody asked.

"Before we begin I need each of you to drink this potion."Dumbledore motioned to the bottles on his desk.Once everyone drank one he waited and when nothing happened he sighed in relief.

"What was that for?"Kingsley Shacklebolt asked.

"That was an antidote to poly juice potion."Dumbledore told them.

"What!?There is no such thing." Bill Weasley said.

"Hermione invented it when there was an incident a few years ago with some students learning how to make poly juice potion themsleves."Minerva held back a shiver thinking about all the chaos those students had caused.

"You're the one who created the werewolf cure as well?"Augusta Longbottom eyed Hermione in interest.

"Yes she is also the reason that Remus isn't here.He is still recovering and won't be at full strength for a few more weeks."Remus hadn't been happy about Nymphadora coming to the meeting without him but it was too important for one of them to go and as her mother was going Nymphadora didn't see the harm.

"So it's true.There really is a cure."Kingsley's voice was laced with awe.

"Regardless let's get to why we are here."Dumbledore needed them to get back on track."We found out yesterday that Barty Crouch Jr. with the help of poly juice potion was pretending to be Alastor."

At the cries of outrage Minerva whistled to get everyone's attention."Calm down.As you can see Alastor is fine."

"How could this happen?"Molly asked.

"I honestly don't know.One minute I was entering my home the next I woke up in a trunk."Moody told them.

"What was their purpose for this?"Augusta asked.

"His reason was that he wanted to get access to Hogwarts for the purpose of targeting Hermione."Dumbledore could see the questions in their eyes but wasn't going to tell them anything other than the bare essentials."It is well known that she is a prodigy and is very close to myself, Minerva and Severus.Barry's goal was to recruit her."

Andromeda shifted closer to Hermione happy that the guards didn't stop her as she wanted the closeness and physical proof that the girl was safe."Recruit her for what?"

"Tom is back."Dumbledore wasn't surprised by the stunned faces of most of the people in the room."We knew it was going to happen and it seems like that time is now."

"So he was the one who put Hermione's name in the cup."Nymphadora followed her mothers actions and moved closer to her friend.

"Barty's orders were to recruit Hermione and if that failed he was supposed to kill her during the tournament."Dumbledore explained.

"Where is Barty now?"Kingsley asked.

"Barty was interrogated and is now being held in the dungeon.I have found proof of corruption in the ministry and wanted to wait to speak to all of you before we turned him in."Dumbledore needed both arurors in the group to help him weed out Tom's people.

"I have people I can trust that can help with that."Alastor offered."I will need some of that antidote just in case though."

"I think that antidote should be mandatory for everyone."Arthur said.

"I have some in my private stock that you can have."Severus would have to get Hermione to make some more as she was the only one who knew how to brew the potion.

"So what is the plan?"Bill asked.

"Our first priority is to deal with the infestation in the ministry.What I want done is anyone suspected or found having an allegiance to Tom be detained.I will personally be in charge of questioning each one."Dumbledore not only couldn't trust anyone else with the questioning but knew he would need Hermione's help with the interrogations.As she wouldn't be able to be involved unless he as Supreme Mudwump accompanied her."Other than that I need everyone to keep your eyes opened and ears to the ground.Don't be obvious of course but each of you know how to ask the right questions to get the information you are after without giving yourselves away."

"Maybe Andromeda can ask her Death Eater sister what she knows.They are living together now."Molly said.

"My sister is not a death eater."Andromeda told her.

Molly scoffed"She's a Malfoy, that whole family are Death Eaters."

"Actually my aunt isn't a Malfoy.As of this afternoon she is divorced from Lucius and has officially taken the last name Black-Malfoy-Rosier-Carrow."Nymphadora didn't even bother to hold back her smirk.

"How did she get a divorce?Wasn't she married in pureblood tradition?"Arthur asked.

"Yes she was."Nymphadora confirmed."However there is a blood ritual that can be preformed by the head of households to break the bonds that were placed on both parties when they got married.Because there is a new head of household for both the Blacks and the Malfoys Narcissa made a request for her marriage to be dissolved and the new head of household was kind enough to grant it."

"That means another Black knows the head of household."Bill said.

Molly sneered at Andromeda."I wouldn't be surprised if you and your family faked the whole thing to gain control of the ministry yourselves.I bet you are trying to get Narcissa a seat as well."

"As a matter of fact Narcissa is officially taking the Malfoy seat tomorrow."Andromeda took great pleasure at seeing the outrage on Molly's face.It was ironic to Andromeda that Hermione was standing right there as Molly was making a fool of herself.There was no way that Molly was going to gain any favors from the girl with the way she was acting.

"What?!How dare you!"Molly pulled out her wand and was suddenly pinned to the floor by two Veela guards.

Nymphadora shook her head a the scene."You shouldn't have pointed that near Hermione."

"Let me go!"Molly screeched.

"Molly control yourself."This was just more proof to Minerva that it wasn't a good idea for Hermione to come out.Molly was ready to kill Andromeda and the woman wasn't even the new head of household.Minerva could only imagine what Molly would do if Hermione revealed herself.

"Enough."Dumbledore demanded when Molly continued to struggle against the guards.Hearing his voice she stopped."They will let you go if you calm yourself and promise not to attack any of my guests."

"I will remain calm."Molly huffed when the guards let her up.

"I will give you your wand back before you leave."Severus told her.He was not at all surprised by the woman's behavior.If he had it his way she wouldn't be a part of this discussion but he reasoned they may need cannon fodder at some point.It wouldn't be a big deal if they lost a Weasley because with the way they popped out children one would take it's place soon enough.

"You have no right."Molly began only to be cut off by her husband.

"Molly leave it be."Arthur told her.

"Anyway."Dumbledore said getting the meeting back on track."For now we all know what to do.If anything important happens we will reconvene at a later time.I'm working on getting us a new headquarters and will let each of you know where it is when I find it."

"Why aren't we using Sirius' house like we used to?"Kingsley asked.

"Sirius is not going to be called upon for his help this time."Dumbledore told them.

Alastor sighed in relief."Thank god.I hate that tosser.That lazy asshole wasn't even that helpful.With him losing his inheritance I wouldn't doubt it if he sold us out for some gold."

"That being said I will be making new arrangements.I don't have to remind any of you how serious this situation is.I'm hoping that we can stop Tom before he can do to much destruction but we all know how cunning he is."Dumbledore looked each person in the room in the eye."You are the only ones I trust with this matter and I know none of you will let me down."

"We won't."Nymphadora didn't know how involved she was going to be but she would do her best to prove she was a worthy member of such an incredible team.

"With that I will let you all get on your way as it is getting rather late."Dumbledore said.

As the group started saying their goodbyes and leaving Hermione was approached by Augusta.When the guards blocked her path Hermione saw the woman looked confused."I'm sorry they are over protective."

"Understandable.I was just hoping to talk to you before I leave."Augusta said.

"What is it you want to talk about?"Hermione asked.

"I was speaking to Andromeda and she told me about some of your medical achievements and recommended that I talk to you."Augusta told her.

"Augusta is a good friend.I went to school with her son and daughter in law.Her grandson is in his sixth year here."Andromeda explained.

"It's actually my son and daughter in law that I wanted to speak to you about."Augusta took a deep breath before continuing."During the first war the pair worked for the order and because of that they were targeted by the Dark Lord and his minions.They were attacked in their home by the LaStrange brothers."

"What happened to them?"Hermione asked.

Augusta smiled sadly."They were tortured by the brothers using the crucio curse because of the length and strength of the exposure it caused them to go insane.At that's what the healers say."

"And you don't believe that."Hermione concluded.

"No, I don't.That's why I wanted to talk to you.I was hoping that you would take a look at their cases."Augusta told her.

"I don't know if I could actually do anything."Hermione was interested though.The workings of the mind had been something she had studied in the muggle world and was fascinated with the way so much was unknown about the brain.

"I'm not expecting you to do anything.I just want you to take a look at the case.If you go over everything and you think nothing can be done then I won't bother you again.It's just I feel like you're my last hope.I'm getting older and when I'm gone I don't want my grandson to be alone in the world.He's a sensitive boy and he needs the support."Augusta told her.

Hermione took a minute to go over her thoughts."I wanted to begin working on the blood malediction."

"I can offer my time to help you on this and the other cure if you need it."Andromeda knew that Hermione was the only one who could actually cure the Longbottoms and if curing them meant that Andromeda would have to sacrifice some of her own free time then she would do it.

"I would have to have full access."Hermione said.

"You can have anything you want.I can even pay for your time."Augusta offered.

"I don't need or want your money.I just need your complete cooperation and for you to not fight me on my methods."That was one of Hermione biggest problems when she worked for someone.They tried to tell her what to do and didn't let her work without interference.That was one of the reasons she no longer wanted to work at the hospital.

"I will follow your lead completely."Augusta promised.

"Then I need their medical records and the ministry report on the incident."Hermione was already putting her plan together.

"I can get that to you easily."Augusta said.

"I would also like to meet them."Hermione needed to see what kind of condition the couple were in before she even began looking for a cure.

"When do you have time?"Augusta asked.

"I'm busy tomorrow but I have some time on Thursday."Hermione figured getting started right away would be a good idea. Especially because all she had for projects at the time was the blood malediction.

Augusta gave her a brilliant smile."That soon?"

"If I don't start soon it will get push to the side by a new project."Hermione told her.

"Then I will make arrangements.I can't thank you enough for this."Augusta stepped forward to give Hermione a hug but Andromeda stopped her.

"I don't know if I can actually cure them."Hermione warned.

"You have given me hope and that is more than I had before."Augusta said.

"Hermione say good night to your friends.You have an early morning tomorrow and you know that Aart will have her entire contingent of guards hunt you down if you don't show up on time."Minerva told her.

"What's going on tomorrow?"Nymphadora asked.

"It's family day for the participants in the tournament."Minerva told them.

"Can we come?"Andromeda would like the opportunity to support Hermione.The girl had shown her more than enough it was only right to return the favor.

"I don't see why not."Minerva thought that was a very good idea because it would give Hermione a chance to introduce them to her other family.

"Then we will be there."Andromeda would have to invite Narcissa as well.It would be nice for her sister's first public outing as a divorced woman to be in the company of family and friends.

"I'll see you tomorrow then."Hermione held back a sigh when Nymphadora hugged her.It wasn't as bad as the last one as she was getting used to the girl.

Andromeda gave Hermione's hand a squeeze."See you tomorrow."

"I will get all the information you asked for ready for you on Thursday."Augusta told her.

"It was nice meeting you."Hermione said.

"You as well and thank you again."Augusta said as she made her way to say her goodbyes to the others.

"What information is she getting you?"Minerva asked.

"She asked me to look over her son and daughter in law's case.I agreed to look it over."Hermione was somewhat excited about having a new mystery to solve.

Minerva chuckled at Hermione's expression.She knew her young charge was going to have to be monitored closely as this was a big project.If left alone Hermione would lose herself in the process forgetting to eat and sleep.Minerva would have to talk to Aart about having the guards interact more with Hermione."Well I'm sure if anyone could cure them it would be you."

"We will see."Hermione said as she moved with her guards towards the stairs.She did need her rest for the next day but wanted to take some time before she slept to write down her observations of the participants of the meeting.She knew Albus would want her thoughts when they were fresh so she didn't want to lose anything before she met with them.She didn't think they would get a chance before the families left so she would send one of her guards with her notes.Then she would go to bed because if she wasn't well rested Aart would worry and the last thing Hermione wanted was to worry her mother.
