With a flash Valtor and the Trix returned to their hideout.
"That was briljant Valtor!" Icy immediately said.
"Yes very nice work." Darcy added.
"Silence!" Valtor yelled.
The three witches cowared and took a few steps away from the wizard.
"It seems…" He continued. "That in your description of these group of fairies you have failed to mention that one of them is the princess of Domino, keeper of the Dragon Flame!"
"Well… we didn't think it would be important…" Stormy stammered.
"NOT IMPORTANT?!"
The ground underneath them shook and the witches ran for cover as some rocks came falling down.
"It's okay…" Valtor whispered as he calmed himself. "This might even work in my advantage." "Tell me all about this group of fairies, especially the one with the power of the Dragon Flame."
….
"Okay so that's the plan?" Musa asked.
"It's the best that I can come up with." Samara said. "Layla, Bloom and Flora go into the ocean to find the Queen of Mermaids and get her help to cure Layla, while you Tecna and I stay here in case the Trix decide to come back." "We'll meet each other at that small island in an hour."
"Sounds good enough for me." Bloom said. "Let's go."
"Good luck." Musa said as the three fairies dived into the water.
"We can fly around to see if anyone needs help." Samara said.
Tecna and Musa nodded and the three of them got to work. Indeed there were still some villagers who needed help getting to dry land and the monsters were getting more and more agressive, some even managing to get on land and threathen people.
Samara shot another silver beam towards a monster mermaid who screamed and went back into the water.
"How long until they are supposed to come back up?" Tecna asked as she shot a mermaid straight back into the ocean. "I have the feeling we've been at it for hours and the sun is about to go down."
"They should be here any minute." Musa said.
"I'm glad we haven't seen the Trix yet." Samara said.
The three of them headed towards the island just near the coast.
"No sign of them yet." Tecna said.
The fairy of Technology landed on the ground and transformed back.
"I'm sorry girls, I am completely drained." She sighed.
"I can't hold on much longer either." Musa said as she and Samara landed next to Tecna but kept their fairy form.
"There they are!" Samara said as she saw a small group making their way towards the island.
Flora was holding on to Layla and Bloom and a red headed mermaid were holding what probably was the Queen of Mermaids.
"What happened?" Tecna asked.
"Long story, we have to capture the light of the sun before it goes down." Bloom said.
Tecna helped Layla out of the water. The others supported the Queen who was obviously in bad shape.
"Not so fast!" Icy's voice suddenly sounded behind them.
"There will be no saving anyone today!" Darcy added.
The Trix flew towards them.
"Can't you three leave us alone?" Musa yelled.
The fairy of Music fired several purple orbs towards them.
"Go capture the light, we'll hold them off!" Samara said.
She, Musa, Tecna, Flora and Bloom all went into the attack.
"The scepter, take it." The Queen said. "Use the light to save princess Layla."
"No, that is not going to happen." Layla said as she held the scepter up in the air.
The red headed mermaid also held onto it and guided their arms towards the sunlight. The crystal on top started to glow.
"We will use the healing powers of the scepter of the Ocean to cure you Queen Ligea." Layla said. "Tressa, you have to help me aim."
"Are you sure princess Layla?" The mermaid named Tressa said.
"Yes, don't worry, your mother will be healed." Layla said. "Even if that means I will have to live my life in darkness."
The both of them pointed the crystal towards Queen Ligea. The mermaid was surrounded by light for a few seconds and then the light disappeared.
"Mother, you are healed!" Tressa said as she hugged her mother.
A huge explosion sounded near them.
"What was that?" Layla asked scared.
"The witches are trying to break through a shield one of your friends has made!" Tressa said. "There is a man with them as well."
"Valtor!" Layla growled.
Another explosion sounded and several yells were heard. Suddenly Blooms voice sounded very close to Layla.
"Layla!" "But…you're still blind…didn't it…"
"It worked Bloom but I choose to let the scepter cure Queen Linea." Layla said unable to keep the sadness out of her voice.
"Oh Layla…"
Bloom looked at her friend and felt tears in her eyes. But she didn't have much time to console her friend as Valtor had almost broken through Samara's defense.
"Valtor is getting close, he wants the scepter to absorb its power." She said.
"Never!" Queen Linea said.
"You need to leave, both of you." Layla said hoping she looked into the direction of Tressa and her mother.
"But…" Tressa started.
"NOW!" Layla yelled. "We'll hold them off as long as we can."
The biggest explosion sounded and the ground underneath them shook. Bloom watched as the two mermaids disappeared into the water. She turned her head towards the battle and saw the other Winx defeated on the ground. She quickly ran towards them.
"I'm sorry…my shield broke…" Samara said weak. "I really tried…"
"I know, don't worry, it'll be alright." Bloom said.
"Are you sure about that?"
Bloom looked up to see Valtor standing in front of her.
"What do you want Valtor?" Bloom asked fierce.
Valtor laughed. "Well first off I wanted you to stay out of my business, but blinding the princess of Andros seemed to be unsufficient." "Then I saw you went after the Scepter of the Ocean and wanted to steal it and absorb its power."
Bloom took a few steps backwards and tripped.
"Your bravery has intrigued me." Valtor said. "Not many dare to stand in my way."
"Get away from her!" Layla yelled and threw a rock, which missed its target.
Valtor laughed again. Another rock flew through the air and hit Valtor right in the nose.
"Aaargh!" "How dare you attack me, you little…"
Valtor was about to throw dark magic at Layla when a bright orb of light appeared around her. The Winx watched in awe as Layla transformed into Enchantix.
"NO, NO, this can't be happening!" Valtor screamed.
He turned his attention towards Bloom. "Don't think you are rid of me Bloom, you and I have a lot more in common than you think and I am sure we will face each other again."
He snapped his fingers and disappeared. The entire island shook and parts started to collapse into the ocean.
"Uh girls, we need to get out of here!" Samara said.
Tecna took her dimensial passage creator out of her pocket. "Everyone hold hands!"
The Winx did as they were told. A portal towards Alfea appeared and they jumped just in time. The entire island crumbled and disappeared into the raging sea.
