And finally here is the next chapter. I am so sorry for the super long wait I hit a major writers block and had a lot going on (I got married and bought a house which has been stressful) I also did a major rewrite of the first 2 chapters so please go back and give them a reread as I had to change a few things to make the rest of the plot make sense. Thank you so much for reading please let me know what you think!-Dayin

As she made her way into her Biology class of the day she felt a sense of horror knowing she was about to write a test she had no chance of passing.

The class's current module was on Sex-ed and enzymes. And due to their beliefs her parents had forbidden her from taking part in either of those subjects citing religious beliefs as their main objection.

This worked fine for the sex-ed portion but the enzymes and vampire mate information wasn't really meant to be excluded; however her dads position and prominence in the community allowed him to call in certain favours. The school however would not allow her to get marks for tests and assignments she didn't complete so she always had to do extra credit to make up for the missed marks.

At Least she could be glad to remember she had English class next, a lesson she enjoyed and was able to focus on wholeheartedly. Classical literature had always been an interest of hers and could help to brighten her day when she was in the worst of moods or in this case feeling sick.

Settling down at her desk at the front of the room she got ready; getting her notebook and textbook set out along with yesterday's homework assignment. Students filtered in from her left and right and her teacher took his place and the front of the class as the bell rang.

Prompted by the bell her teacher Mr. Stevenson began reading off the instructions and rules on the board necessary to deliver the test for the day.

As Mr. Stevenson began handing out the tests and the students got a chance to look over the questions Bella was happy to see it wasn't quite as bad as she had first expected.

Sure the questions looked like a whole different language on any of the sex-ed or mating enzyme based questions; but at least the questions that weren't forbidden for her to answer seemed simple enough. She filled in the answers and then the extra credit questions that Mr Stevenson had included for her about cell structure in order to make up.

Happy that the test wasn't quite as bad as she first thought she answered as many as she could, labelling the structures of the cell on the last page. Her headache slowly increased back from the dull ache to the loud thumping it had been earlier that morning.

The bell rang and all the students raced to back away their things and hand them up to the front, Mr Stevenson gave her a pitying look as she handed hers over.

She left the room and slowly walked through the halls to her English lesson. They were reading one of her favourite books at the moment , Wuthering Heights, and she couldn't wait to get into the next part.

As she walked in she could see Alice sitting at the back reading her book with an open seat saved next to her that Bella gratefully took before getting her own book out. As Alice turned to look at her her eyebrows raised in shock, a look of concern taking over her face.

"Gosh Bells are you okay you are looking awfully pale" she questioned raising her hand out to feel her forehead, "and you are burning up, you need to see the nurse or go to the doctor!" it made sense to her that Alice would be so medically conscious as mates and their guardians were always under strict rules to take very careful care of themselves.

"No, no I don't Ally I am fine just allergies or something I think" She said quickly shooting down the suggestion. Doctors were not something she really went to often or at all. Generally she was a very healthy person and her parents were extremely against any unnecessary medical intervention. On the odd occasion when she had needed to go her mother had always gone with her watching any doctors like a hawk. It made Bella feel really panicked and self conscious as if she herself were doing something wrong by being ill.

"Okay if you are sure I will let it go for now but if you get any worse I am dragging you there myself." Alice said in a no nonsense tone that inspired no doubt to which she hesitantly agreed in an attempt to pacify the smaller girl.

The rest of the lesson went by without much of note their English teacher Mrs. Smith had them take part in a creative writing exercise in which they wrote a letter from the perspective of one of the characters in the book which Bella was really enjoying.

All too soon the bell rang causing everyone to collect their things and pack their bags. Alice and Bella headed over to the lunch room chatting as they went.

Once they arrived in the lunch room they saw Rosalie sitting at a table already with her lunch tray in font of her.

Bella felt her stomach turn at the very thought of eating at the moment. Knowing she could not stomach anything she chose to just head straight over to Rose as Alice headed over to get lunch of her own.

"Not eating Bella?" She questioned with a raised brow curious as Bella normally enjoyed the school lunches and wasn't one to skip meals.

"No, I had a really big breakfast I will eat more later" she fibbed not wanting Rose or Alice to worry or heaven forbid try and make her go to the nurse who would undoubtedly call her parents home early.

"Okay that's fine we can pick something up at the food court when we arrive later" Rose said firmly.

"Yeah, yeah okay" she agreed, hoping her stomach would be up to it later so she didn't have to argue with them over it.

They all sat chatting happily as Alice and Rose polished off their lunch, the bell rang signifying the end of the period for them and they split up to head to their next classes.

The rest of the classes continued on in a blur for Bella. She was finding it hard to concentrate and her nausea and headache were getting even worse along with the tightness that had set into her chest.

The final bell of the day drowned out Mrs. Stark's final remarks on the maths lesson. And she breathed out a huge sigh of relief as the day was finally over. In combination with being sick maths was definitely not a subject she liked and Mrs. Stark seemed to truly hate her. As Mrs. Stark dismissed them for the day she reminded them of the homework she had assigned that was due for tomorrow. Bella wobbly rose from her desk packing her books into her bag as she left the classroom, wanting to be home and away from Mrs. Stark's needle-like voice as soon as humanly possible.

Alice was already waiting for her outside of the door, tapping her foot impatiently as she waited for Bella to show up so they could begin her shop-a-thon. As soon as Bella come into view however her face fell her mouth hanging open in shock at the sight of her friend

"What the hell Bella? You are looking even worse, I don't care what you say you are going to the nurse right now !" Alice grabbed her hand and dragged her along to the nurse while sending Rose a quick message to let her know their plans for the day were being changed.

The nurses office was in the back of the school's reception office. Mrs Cope sat at the reception desk typing away on her computer, at hearing the girls approach she lifted her eyes from the screen. Taking in Bella's pale and shaky appearance a look of concern overtook her face.

"Oh dear are you quite alright?" She questioned in alarm at the state of the normally chipper girl.

"Yes I am fine" Bella reassured only to get the stink eye from Alice at her obvious lie.

"Bella's not feeling well Mrs Cope, I brought her here to see the nurse" Alice corrected her boldly while looking at Mrs Cope expectantly.

"I see, I am sorry girls but Mrs Hallowell is away for the day already but if you are feeling very sick I can call your parents to get you so you can go to the hospital Bella?" she offered a gesture to the phone.

"No no that's not necessary. I think I just have a small cold and they are out of town at the moment so they couldn't fetch me anyway" explained Bella slightly panicked not wanting her parents to be called back from her Nanna's early.

"I would still feel better if you were driven home" Mrs Cope said now unsure of what to do and worried for the poor sickly girl.

"I don't mind driving Bella home Mrs Cope don't worry about that, I was just hoping she could be seen to." said Alice still sounding worried.

"Well dear if it's just a small cold like Bella says there isn't much that can be done anyway, this might just be a situation remedied by a good long sleep and some simple paracetamol."

"Okay if you think so," Alice said, still unsure.

"I do but if you aren't better in the morning a trip to the doctor would be the safe thing to do okay sweetheart, if you do take the day off to let me know alright?" She said making a mental note to check the class registers for the girl tomorrow.

"Okay Mrs Cope thank you" she thanked grateful to be allowed to just head home with no nurses or doctors needed for the moment.

"Any time at all dear I hope you feel better soon"

"Bye Mrs Cope thank you" Alice called as they walked out of the office and towards the cars.

"We are getting you straight home and you are having something to eat and then getting into bed. If you aren't at least a bit better in the morning I am driving you to the doctor." Alice's voice was deadly serious and Bella did not dare argue against her.

Alice called Rosalie and told her to meet them at the car.

"Still feeling like trash Bells you look awful" Rose said wrinkling her nose in distaste.

"Why thank you Rose it's that boost to my ego I truly keep you around for" she remarked dryly with a small cough bursting out a minute later.

"Anytime, anytime" Rose laughed, "but seriously how are you doing there?"

"I don't feel well but I will manage, '' she replied honestly "I think Mrs Cope is right I just need some more sleep."

"Okay but if you start feeling worse during the drive let me know, I do not want you barfing in my car." Rose said masking her concern with her regular mean girl like attitude that Bella had come to love.

Alice and Rose chatted quietly throughout the drive and Bella lay down in the back seat of Rose's car drifting in and out of consciousness on the way.

All too soon Rose pulled up in front of Bella's house and just as Bella had expected her Parents cars were nowhere in site, thank you Nanna Swan.

"All right you, upstairs you go you are getting straight into bed." Alice said in a matter of fact manner while helping Bella collect her things from the car.

Bella unlocked the door and Rose and Alice followed behind her with Alice all but pushing her up the stairs into her room. While Rose went into the kitchen.

Alice set her backpack and things down onto her nearby desk and then helped get some pj's out for her. Bella took them away and got changed in the bathroom before coming out to see Alice had pulled the blankets out ready for her to get settled into bed.

Shortly after she was settled the sound of footsteps could be heard as Rose came upstairs with a bowl of steaming chicken soup and some paracetamol that Bella gratefully took.

"All right you are going to eat this and then we will leave you to rest okay?" she said posing it as a question but truly it was more of an order as she placed the bowl into Bella's hands.

They chatted calmly with Bella while she ate talking about their days and the homework that they had due.

Bella gratefully ate as much soup as her rolling stomach could handle before her eyes began to droop calmed by the sounds of her friends voices and the warm feeling in her stomach.

"All right I think that is enough, you can sleep now bells" Alice said taking the bowl and both girls headed to the door Rose flicking the lights off as they passed.

"Thank you so much guys, I feel better already." She said honestly, grateful to have such amazing friends to take care of her.

"Anytime at all okay, call us if you need anything and we mean that" Rose called. A few minutes later she heard their car start up as they set off on their way home.

Bella quickly drifted off to sleep, her head feeling slightly less achy with the medicine taking effect, hopefully she would feel even better in the morning.
