Subplot :

Deal with a Fae,

part 2.

Upon entry to this new reality, Smartie immediately took notice of all the teenagers walking around. Looking at their equally puzzled expressions.

As expected, his own body had changed to fit into the physics of this realm... strangely, that meant he now looked like a teenager, himself... a barely adolescent child. With his eyes now taking up a third of his head, giving him a greater field of vision.

Adjusting the round glasses, he was now wearing. He continued to examine himself, and his surroundings...

A school? He was next to a school, with a portal out of a horse statue. That was a tad ridiculous... With all the wonderous things this fae could sculpt as her realm... she chose a human high school?

"Hello there," A voice spoke from behind him.

Smartie eeped, jumping a bit, as he turned around.

He relaxed to find the Royal Fae he was sent to greet. Not sure what else he expected, he blushed. He always did have a nervous disposition.

This Fae was tall... very tall, standing at nearly 8 feet. And even with Smartie's, now slightly taller, height, he barely reached her thigh.

She had fair, flawless, skin. With her long, literally flowing hair, colored like an aurora borealis.

She looked down at the stone, floating next to the boy, a patient smile on her lips.

"I take it the Spawning Stone is my gift? And not yourself?" The Royal Fae smiled.

The boy blushed, quickly shaking his head. "N-no ma'am, your Lady highness, I'm not the gift!" he blurted out. And everyone in the hive mind groaned. Realizing they should have sent someone else here... but I had my reasons to send Smartie.

The Fae laughed, enjoying how frantic the boy was being. She did surround herself with Geniuses, and was used to them being socially inept, before she managed to train them up some.

The boy was blushing, "I botched this... didn't I?"

From the perspective of the other Royal Fae, Celestia.

"Not at all," Celestia smiled.

She floated the stone over to herself. Examining it. The stone might not satisfy her hunger. But if she bound it to herself, it would increase her power enough to eat a few more students. So it was a fine gift.

She could even give the House Elves, it manifested, to her students. That way her fae servants wouldn't have to care for humans, whom they didn't understand. The house elves might feed off her, but they, too, would increase her power. She'd be able to grow much more quickly now.

"I rather like the gift," Celestia waved her hand, and the Stone disappeared. Reappearing deep under ground, where her servant resided. She then looked at Smartie, with a hunger expression. I will hear your Master's request."

Smartie stood as tall as his little body would alllow. But was clearly still in a panic.

"We actually are here on behalf of Grampa Rassillion. Errr, I mean, Lord President Rassillion. He request your aid in the fight against a race of interdimensional Daleks. They threaten all realities, all dimensions. Including you."

Celestia looked thoughtful. "And what will he give me in return?"

The boy gulped, "me..." The Hive started panicking, as they weren't aware of that part. Only Rassillion, Smartie and myself, knew. And I was quick to remind Smartie of the condition he forgot to mention. "BUT ONLY FOR A HUNDRED YEARS." he yelled, even more flustered that he forgot to say that part. "You'll get to feed on me for 100 years!!! But then you gotta let me go."

Celestia smiled, "I must admit, that is a tempting offer. You have quite the large amount of unfulfilled potential in you."

He could grow to rival gods, if left to his own devices. Such was the potential of most Time Lords. Yes, she recognized his species. He had just finished his schooling, but not his apprenticeship. She could feel it. He was well trained, but had yet to do anything with it.

"So who is your current master?" Celestia looked outside her realm, at the other boy waiting outside the tree.

"He's me," the boy explained. "Kinda sorta. I created him... by accident. He's a Royal Fae to, but He's got a Time Lord's soul."

"I see," Celestia smiled at the idea.

It wasn't unheard of, for constant exposure to fairies, to transform a lucky few into fae. And hybrids had long since achieved completely equal rights. There was actually never a time in Fae history, where Hybrids weren't viewed as a treasured connection to Sapient animals. So there would be no trouble accepting him. But it be all the more important to teach him.

"He's only mostly fae," the boy explained. "About a fourth of him is Time Lord. Like his Soul, two hearts, and his regeneration energy."

Celestia looked even more thoughtful. So the other boy was only Fae in body... still that was enough. As most hybrid fae had a mortal soul.

"Before we continue," The Fae insisted. "I think it's best we trade names."

The boy blushed, "S-sorry, Smart Mouth, or Smartie. And my counterpart, outside, is Htuom Trams, or S'mouth."

Celestia chuckled, "Smart Mouth and Smart Mouth?" instantly realizing the trick of reversing his name. And thereby claiming power over him... not for any malicious reason, she only sought to protect the new fae...

If it hadn't been for the fact it was a chosen name. She felt no true dominion over it... But then... why reverse it?

Then, Celestia understood... he was trying to be more fae like. While not understanding the reason behind the customs... He might not even know how to get into the Fae City. He'd be welcome, of course, as Fae accepted anyone with fae blood... but he really shouldn't be left to his own devices, she was even more convinced.

The boy before her explained, "We figured out, he needs the raw energy of destinies, to survive." The prince's messenger explained. If he truly was a larger fae, then he deserved the title, mortal hybrid or not. "Where, we understand, you feed on potential."

The Celestia fae chuckled, "That's a good way to piss off the fates. Not thet that's really a surprise. We larger fae tend to irritate at least one god, by our dietary needs." as they fed on a cosmic law, from a mortal willingly sacrificing it to themself. "I'm Celestia by the way."

The boy blushed, "S-sorry." he squirmed where he stood.

"That's alright, you just got distracted," Celestia insisted. "I'll just have to work on your manners, if I accept this deal."

Smartie blinked, clearly having forgotten offering himself. The boy really was, very easily distracted... he might have some kind of mental disorder. Such as ADHD, or maybe Autism... could she really be that lucky?

The mentally disabled, and the insane, had a good deal of potential they usually never reached. They were closer to gods, as they saw more worlds then the one they were in. The mortal mind merely couldn't comprehend it.

If he was mentally ill, she'd be able to feed on him daily, which would help him think more clearly then any medicine... and let her grow more quickly.

"Do you mind if I inspect you?" Celestia asked. "I need to see if this deal would be worth, putting my servants at risk, for your war."

The boy blushed, but nodded.

Celestia gently stroked his cheek, then lifted up his lips, to examine his teeth. As well as feeling the muscle tone in his arms and legs. The boy was blushing but was very cooperative, as she examined him.

Then she looked into his eyes, and felt his mind. She could not read minds, nor emotions, but she could gain a sense of their condition.

This one, was in fact, autistic... as well as OCD... with such a high spirit Awareness, he could see phantoms... even when they weren't in this dimension.

This was a rare find indeed, a mentally ill medium... he had the potential to be one of the most powerful Necromancers in the universe.

Jackpot, feeding off him would definitely be worth losing a few of her fae servants, especially since he could just bring them back... but there was the tiny trouble he'd only be here for a hundred years... and if she didn't want to alienate the mortal fae, she couldn't risk trying to keep him.

Oh well, feeding on him, even once, would be of great help to her.

What's this? Celestia could feel the pulses of some kind of psychic link. It stretched across time, and even multiverses. It was a soul... She could sense 8 links, to 8 different bodies, that shared a single soul between them.

Much like her fae servants... only these bodies held a measure of independence. They were different aspects of the same entity... like some kind of lesser Q.

Even if they did have separate consciousnesses, they were technically one lifeform...

Meaning she could still feed on all of them. Although, even if she could, she wasn't greedy. And that wasn't part of the deal. She understood, the spirit of the deal was to feed on this one corner of their soul, and him alone.

Deals were important to interdimensional creatures, like Fae. But unlike Devils, Fae's honored the spirit of a deal, and not the letter. It helped they didn't understand human minds. Not enough to play with the wording of a contract.

Celestia just had thousands of years of practice, in caring for mortals. It was a foreign art, but she had gotten quite good at understanding their behavior. Though she still couldn't grasp their contracts.

She looked more thoughtful, as she saw a connection to a 9th soul. It was a shard of the other, reattached, though still seperate... that... was the fae outside. It was loosely connected to this creatures Hive Mind. Although still it's own entity. It was both Master, and equal, to this mortal creature.

"May I ask if your master has a Fairy Godmother?" Celestia couldn't resist asking, as she couldn't feel such a bond.

All mortal fae were supposed to have a "Fairy Godparent", to look after them... but this one wasn't born naturally, so the Council might not know of him. They might not have had the opportunity to assign a fae guardian.

The messenger blinked, scratching his head. "I don't think so..." Looking to the side, he seemed to be hearing things know one else could. She could feel his Psychic link, focus more consciously out of her dimension. That be useful, to keep in contact with their fae counterpart. "Nobody else has seen another Fairy, either."

Eying the messenger. Celestia asked, "You are in psychic communion with the young prince?" she needed verbal confirmation... if mostly for his safe.

"Yes Ma'am."

"Then tell him I appreciate his gift. As it is custom to offer up a living gift, when entering a Faerie Royal's domain." She praised the child's manners. As not all turned fae were aware of fae customs.

Examining the psychic link, more closely, as it was being used, Celestia could feel this "Htuom" was indeed powerful, more powerful then herself, due to all the Spawning Stones attached to him, but he was still young. Barely old enough to have begun collecting mortals.

Still she would like to speak to him directly.
