Notes: I apologize for the different length chapters but I just end it where I feel I should. If it wasn't obvious from the last chapter from this point it doesn't follow canon as much as the first chapters. I don't think think Ian and Mickey would react the same if they could feel each others feelings during the wedding. Hope you enjoy it anyway! Sorry for the late posting, uploading chapter 7 didn't work when I finished it orginally and I forgot about it so it kind of like you get two chapters this time.

Chapter 8- Confrontations

"I didn't tell Mandy..." Ian said in shock, as he stared at Lip to see if he was just pulling his leg, he didn't see any sign of this and didn't know how to react. How did Mandy find out...

"What made you think I told Mandy?" Ian asked, he was sure that Mandy hadn't caught him and Mickey together.

"She stopped me from going after you and said you needed time to process it but that you needed to know." Lip said and he looked like he was thinking deeply for a second.

"Well I didn't tell her anything... She didn't even indicate she knew to me." Ian said sounding a bit confused.

"Either you guys weren't careful enough... Or Mickey told her." Lip said thoughtfully, though with a laugh at the end. Ian thought it sounded like a joke too that Mickey would just tell Mandy but then he remembered how he knew they were closer than they seemed and it seemed more possible. Ian didn't laugh but instead him and Lip shared a joint.

He warned Lip that he was gonna ask Mandy about it, Which Lip said she didn't respond to his texts, Ian was anxious but at the same time a bit relieved that he could finally be open with his best friend about what's happening, maybe even get some insight things.

He also knew he had to confront Mickey too before this wedding, he couldn't just give up on his soulmate like that, he felt some of the sadness disappear and he hoped that maybe he could convince Mickey not to go through with the wedding, maybe they could run away together or something... He couldn't help but imagine what their future together could be as he fell asleep.

Mandy ignored the text from Lip asking how she found out and just replied to Ian's text about wanting to met up tomorrow without Lip. She sighed to herself, she knew she shouldn't of admitted that she knew to Lip, but she needed to let Ian know about the wedding before it happened, even with her dating Lip, Ian was still her best friend. But she broke her word with Mickey and would be telling Ian tomorrow that Mickey told her about it.

She felt bad but she couldn't help it, she loved both of them and would do anything to help, she couldn't just not tell Ian, she knew how she'd feel if her soulmate was with someone else. She barely contained herself knowing Lip was cheating on her with Karen, she almost went crazy and did something drastic, it was the knowledge that they were more alike than they thought that stopped her. She looked down at her red lipstick she was fiddling with, so bright. It had been her first purchase after seeing color and she loved how it looked on her.

Enough of thinking about that, enough stalling she had to go tell Mickey and apologize before she met up with Ian, she knew he was having a hard enough time with everything, drinking everyday to avoid things. The day he told her about the wedding he was comfortably drunk and just told her he was getting married, told her the date, chugged his beer and said he was going out. When she asked where he said he felt like shooting shit. Which was all he seemed to be doing, drinking and going out for shooting practice whenever she saw him.

She hoped he was at home and preferable not too drunk, though drunk Mickey wasn't really bad, he was usually a pretty relaxed drunk, the worst he usually got was getting clumsy where he'd knock stuff over or almost fall down. He used to be more open sometimes when he drank but its been less lately with the whole Terry finding out about Ian thing.

She found him drinking a beer in his bedroom with random rock music on, Luckily it wasn't on too loudly so she didn't have to turn it down. She entered the room shutting the door behind her before she approached him and sat down.

Mickey usually ignored whoever came into his room unless they talked to him or sat down, being that a lot of them went through his room to use the washroom. He raised an eyebrow at her in question as he took another sip of his beer, causing Mandy to sigh slightly before she spoke calmly.

"Hey Mick, how have you been?" She really wondered how he was doing lately, she had been avoiding the house lately as he told her but hadn't really talked to him privately since the night she found him concussed.

Mickey had been just on the verge of getting drunk when Mandy sat down on the bed next to him, he was glad he hadn't seen much of her lately, Terry had been in a foul mood lately even after he agreed to the wedding, roughly fucking his bride to be, rough enough that he saw bruises on her wrists and neck not that Mickey cared about her, he was just glad it wasn't Mandy. He wasn't sure how to answer her question, he just felt nothing lately and didn't feel like lying to the only person he could be honest to and hesitated as he responded.

"Alive, but I don't feel anything really." He said with a shrug, before he turned his attention to Mandy.

"How about you? Gallagher's treating you well?" He didn't really want to talk about himself or his shitty life and how he was on the track to nowhere. She gave a sad smile and shook her head slightly.

"It's a bit complicated and I haven't decided what to do yet but I'll figure it out. Ian's around often." She said trying to direct her conversation to what she came to tell him. She saw Mickey almost freeze at the mention of Ian, which wasn't the best sign but she wouldn't hide it from him.

"...Oh, how's he doing?" Mickey asked quietly, but finished off the beer in his hand after he asked. Mandy took a breath before she decided just to get it over with.

"I asked Lip to come to your wedding with me in front of him, he ran away and I accidentally revealed that I knew about you and Ian in front of Lip so Ian wants to talk to me alone tomorrow." She blurted out, staring at Mickey to see how he reacted, when he didn't react at all she quickly added an I'm sorry, sounding as sincere as she could.

Mickey's brain stopped working for a second as he tried to process what Mandy told him with all the alcohol in his system. He could tell Mandy felt bad by her tone but in a way he understood, they were best friends, and it was obvious how much Mandy cared about him and truthfully Ian would find out about his wedding eventually. He planned to cut his ties with Ian anyways and fuck he wanted Ian to have a friend he could rely on, and Mandy could be that friend for him.

"It's fine Mandy, I don't want to come between your friendship with I-Gallagher. Just promise me you won't tell him about the reasons why I can't be with him." He said quietly, almost calling him Ian, he decided it was best to stick with calling him Gallagher, it felt like putting distance between them in a small way. If Mandy wasn't listening she would of missed the hopelessness hidden in his voice, she nodded and leaned back against him in support, and he spoke again surprising her with his honesty.

"I trust you with this and know you'll do the right thing Mandy." he said leaning back, she hummed and let it be silent for a minute to prove she took his words seriously before she chuckled then spoke.

"I promise... You're drunk aren't you?" She asked teasingly, he let out a snort instead of a laugh but it was better than the hopeless tone.

"Yeah, yeah laugh it up bitch." Mickey said in response, understanding it was her trying to lighten the mood. That night they got high and Mandy told him about her relationship with Lip, and the issues she was dealing with, he agreed not to beat Lip up for her sake, they also talked about other random topics. They didn't bring up Ian again, Mandy knowing it would bring Mickey back down and Mickey wanting not to think about his life for awhile.

They passed out in Mickey's room after they burnt out from their highs.

The next day around noon Ian went out to talk to Mandy, feeling anxious, nervous and just a tiny bit hopeful. They decided to met at the swing set they walked to when they first became friends, as it was pretty private with not a lot of people going there, due to the neighborhood, being run down and having a much better park just blocks away.

Mandy was already there when he walked up, she was sitting on the swing seemingly lost in thought, upon hearing him walk she got off the swing, walked towards him and pulled him into a hug before he could say anything, he awkwardly pat her back in response, the hug catching him off guard.

"Hey Mandy." He said into the hug before he stepped back, she laughed at him before she spoke.

"Sorry just the remainder of my odd mood from last night. Anyways." She paused as moved to sit back down on the swing.

"I know you have questions so just blurt it out." She said with a small smile as Ian sat down on the swing next to her, he tried to think of how to word his questions but gave up and took Mandy's advice.

"So you know... Was Mickey the one who told you?" Ian asked and kicked his feet at the ground as he talked.

"Yes he told me, I tricked him into it though, after finding his searches online about soulmates. He didn't tell me it was you for awhile though."

"Did he tell you about... " Ian started but a painful look took over his face as he wasn't able to put it into words.

"About Terry finding out? Yes... I treated his wounds after coming home to him passed out with a concussion." Mandy replied, seeing Ian expression she reached out and to hold his hand. Ian turned to her with unshed tears in his eyes.

"Is he okay!? I haven't heard from him since..." Ian almost yelled startling Mandy with the volume of the question.

"Yes he's fine, concussions gone and he's mostly just drinking at home until the bruises and such heal."

"Is he really getting married to the woman he was forced to..." Ian asked trailing as he didn't finish the full question though it seemed Mandy understood anyways.

"Svetlana is the one our dad called!? Jesus Christ Mickey. He didn't tell me that detail." She bit out, looking a bit angry but also resigned. She paused before she realized she didn't answer his question.

"Yeah, he's planning to marry her." She stated clearly, no emotions behind it, it kind of reminded him of Mickey a bit.

"Why? Were soulmates... we belong together!" Ian said, sounding desperate but unable to help himself at all.

"I'm sorry I can't tell you that one, you'll have to ask Mickey..." Mandy said with a sad smile, squeezing his hand.

"I can't just stand by and let him marry someone else Mandy... I don't know what to do." Ian replied, his voice coming out small towards the end, squeezing her hand back in return.

"All you can do is talk to him, Mickey is pretty stubborn though." Mandy replied with a small sigh.

"I cant just walk into your house and talk to him, that would be a bad idea." Ian said, he'd been wanting to talk to Mickey since the event.

"Yeah he's mostly been staying home drink and going out to shoot at shit." Mandy said was a small shrug.

"Going out to shoot?" Ian asked, lifting a eyebrow curiously at her.

"Yeah, why?" She asked him curiously.

"I might be able to find him, was he home when you left?" Ian said, sounding just a little hopeful.

"He was just about to head out when I left so he's probably still out, usually its for a couple hours at the least." She said, happy to be able to help him at least a little bit, even if Mickey would struggle with seeing him.

"Thanks Mandy." Ian said after he got off the swing. Mandy smiled at him but stayed seated on the swing.

"Go to him." She said as he walked away, waving before he ran off. She really hoped they could come to an understanding but Mickey seemed pretty decided on not being involved with Ian anymore, she couldn't blame him after what Terry did. If only they had been born into a different family.

Mickey woke up with anxious energy as he liked to call it, knowing Mandy was going out to talk to Gallagher probably about them being soulmates and all that shit, all he could picture was the broken hearted look on Gallagher's face. He didn't wait long after she left to head out to the abandoned building with his gun and a few bottles of alcohol to last him a couple hours.

He'd been shooting at cans and wall for a half hour between sips of alcohol before he heard a noise coming from the stairs, no one ever came to these building, maybe someone finally made a noise complaint or something. He continued shooting, deciding he didn't care enough to hear their complaints.

Upon seeing the red hair, he froze and immediately averted his eyes, he wasn't going to set eyes on something impossible, he continued shooting hoping Gallagher would just leave though he doubted it would be that simple.

"I'm glad that you're okay... I can't stop thinking about what happened." he heard Ian say, he continued his shooting not acknowledging the other in anyway. After a moment he felt anger from the other before he yelled.

"Would you at least look at me?!" Mickey ignored his question as well, but cursed mentally as he was out of bullets, concealing his gun on himself. Fuck he knew he forgot something before he left, his thoughts were too focused on Mandy talking to Gallagher before he left, he turned further away from Ian and grabbed the alcohol he had close to him, he focused on drinking and avoided looking towards him.

"So is it true? Getting married? You just gonna pretend I don't matter to you." He heard Ian say. At his lack of response Ian went forward entering his field of vision and throwing one of his almost empty bottles from the other day at the ground in his rage.

"Hey, What the fuck Gallagher?!" Mickey yelled in reply as glass went everywhere.

"Oh he speaks!" Gallagher said loudly, Mickey realizing he wasn't going to give up headed towards the door, still refusing to look directly at the other, trying to just not feel anything. He heard Ian follow him, of course he'd follow him out and not just get the hint.

"So that's it, we're over? Your dad beats the shit out of us, just gonna get married, no conversation, nothing?" Ian said as he followed after him, Mickey was intent of just walking away until Ian gave up, but then he felt his shoulder being grabbed, as Ian shoved him. It forced him to look at him and the pain he'd be trying to numb returned, he really hated this soulmate bond, he saw the moment the pain came across the bond and was felt by Ian. Ian stepped forward trying to reach out for him, which Mickey wasn't going to allow, and he pushed the other off.

"Get the fuck off of me." Mickey said as he pushed anger through the bond, even if it wasn't directed at Ian, he knew from his own experience that the bond couldn't really tell what the emotions were directed at.

"You wanna fag bash, that make you feel like a man." Ian replied, gesturing slightly at himself. Mickey just wanted to leave, without having to go through Ian to do it.

"C'mon go ahead. DO IT!" Ian yelled at him, he shook his head subconsciously, but then Ian was stepping into his space, which Mickey punched him in the stomach, his self defense coming to him automatically, even though it was more emotional than physical he only knew how to defend himself physically. As Ian fell to his knees, and the pain was felt through the bond Mickey turned away.

"Fuck." He muttered to himself, grabbing the bottle he didn't remember dropping from the ground and trying again to just leave.

"You love me, and you're gay. We're fucking soulmates... Just admit it." Ian said as he struggled to stand, not backing down.

"Just this once, fucking admit it!" Ian continued, making Mickey feel even more broken and unable to defend himself, he turned back and punched him in the face.

"Feel better now, feel like a man?" Ian continued to taunt, Mickey rubbed at his eyes to fight his emotions off and focus on the anger, he kicked Ian, causing him to bleed, and red flashed over his vision, he learned the bond did that when Ian was in danger and it made him feel sick. But he couldn't hear anymore, he couldn't handle this anymore. He downed the rest of the bottle, needing to numb himself, not able to tell if the pain he felt was his own or Gallagher's.

"I feel better now." He forced out, and though his voice sounded worse he doubt Gallagher would notice with the pain he just caused, he threw the now empty bottle on the ground and walked away, going home earlier than planned, stealing alcohol on his way. He took his time getting home, losing track of time.

It was thirty minutes after he got home, the house empty that he felt the broken hearted sadness coming from the bond, he could feel the breakdown the other was having. Mickey felt tears gather in his eyes, and he gave into the emotions, it was unacceptable for a Milkovich man to cry but he blamed the bond and Gallagher's feeling. He knew that the bond amplified their emotions more when they were shared and knowing this was going to be the last thing they shared just made the hopelessness worse. Mickey passed out drunk and upset, wishing he never had to feel anything again.

The next day Ian woke up feeling horrible after his breakdown last night, it was probably the worst one he had since he was a kid, he was pretty much inconsolable after the first couple minutes, drinking himself to sleep. He ended up stealing whatever alcohol Frank had lying around the house, taking it to drink alone in their room, he spent the next two days comfortably drunk. Not listening to the concerns from Fiona. He didn't remember Lip trying to stop him or go against him, besides making sure Ian drank some water and ate while he drank. On the third day he decided he couldn't go on like this and stopped drinking, guess being an alcoholic didn't come genetically to him if he could only manage a couple days.

After the hangover cleared he decided he wasn't going to wait for Mickey to get married to some whore, he couldn't just continue living here acting like everything was okay. He knew he wasn't as smart as Lip but he had come up with a plan and it seemed like it had a high chance of working, and the only person he'd have to tell would be Mandy. Well he didn't have to tell her but he wasn't going to be cruel, and he didn't want to just disappear on her either.

He would join the army under Lip's name and social, get a fake ID made. He was always aiming for the army anyways and if you joined the army with the whole soulmate thing they gave out free bond suppressants to your soulmate if they wanted, lots of soulmates who had someone in the army would try and not go on them but it usually got too hard. And even though him and Mickey were done, he wanted it to be an option for Mickey to get them if he needed or wanted them. So saying he's soulmates with Mandy and telling her about it seemed to be the best way.

He would leave the day of the wedding, less than a week away only telling Mandy where he was going, he didn't like not telling Lip or his family but they would all do anything to stop him, he knew Mandy would understand, even if she wouldn't like it

Over the next few days everything fell together, his fake ID and social, his registration accepted, he told his family he had an ROTC trip and how it was just what he needed, and they seemed supportive enough to not question it. For leaving the day of the wedding he did have to take a bus further out than if he waited but it was worth it to not have the temptation to go and torture himself more by either going and suffering in silence or attempting to crash the wedding.

He spent the days before the wedding with his family, spending as much time with them as much as he could, playing with Liam and showing Carl some cool army tricks that weren't too dangerous. No one questioned his change in mood, Fiona just seemed happy he wasn't drinking away his problems and accepted him saying he didn't want to talk about it and move on. Lip noticed his mood change but didn't question him about it.

It was finally the evening before he left early the next morning, so he knew it was time to tell Mandy, he texted her telling her he needed to talk to her, and once he confirmed that she was home alone and that Mickey and their other brothers were out celebrating with Terry and wouldn't be home anytime soon he headed over.

He held his breath before knocking on the door, Mandy answered and invited him, practically pulling him by the hand inside of the house.

Mandy had been worried since Ian went off to talk to Mickey, she had texted Ian asking if he was okay and hadn't gotten much besides that he needed time to himself, she just understood, telling him to let her know if he needed anything.

She tried asking Mickey about it but he was drunk both time she found him, and just told her it was over between him and Gallagher, drinking more and causing her to worry whenever she tried to bring up Ian so she decided to leave it for the time being, letting them both have their space. She was also avoiding Lip in the process by telling him to just focus on Ian and that she was busy with getting ready for the wedding.

She was surprised when Ian texted her the night before the wedding, but when he said he needed to talk she invited him over, glad that her family were having kind of like a bachelor party for Mickey.

When she heard the knock and opened the door to see Ian, she could tell that something had changed, his serious expression didn't convince her that he was fine and she ended up grabbing his hand, pulling him inside and offering him comfort with small touches before he made himself comfortable.

He followed her silently and didn't seem to know how to start the conversation he came over for, she lead him into her bedroom shutting the door behind them, hoping he'd feel more comfortable knowing that no one could just walk in. they sat on her bed next to each other and she was about to break the silence when Ian spoke.

"That's a pretty intense lock system you have on your door..." He trailed off, she smiled and almost gave a small laugh at how he was trying to not talk about Mickey right from the start but fate had him ask about something Mickey did without him knowing.

"Yeah, Mickey found out about what happened with the whole abortion and got it for me." She said with a small smile, she saw his eyes glaze slightly, obviously fighting with his own emotions before he responded,

"It's good to hear that you are safer now, I'm glad you have him to look out for you." He said, sounding a bit hollow but sincere in the way that showed he cared about her. She leaned back against him and let out a small sigh, turning towards him.

"So what did you need to talk about? You know you can tell me anything."

"I'm... I can't just wait around while Mickey marries some whore, I won't be able to resist going if I stay here.." He paused for a moment, looking towards her he continued.

"I'm leaving tomorrow morning, and I need you to promise you won't tell Lip or my family where I've gone." She gave a bitter smile but nodded, she was going to let him finish explaining before she said anything, she could tell how hard this was for him.

"I've joined the army, under Lip's name... I told them you were my soulmate, incase Mickey needs the bond suppressants or you could just get them and sell them if he doesn't. I haven't told anyone else so they might come looking for me." Ian stated still not sounding like himself, all emotion gone from his voice. She knew it was a front and she understood that he didn't need an argument and already decided, so instead she turned to face him, and spoke sincerely.

"I understand, I believe sometimes its not the right timing to be with someone, sometimes you gotta be on your own, and focus on yourself and let them do the same..." Her hand moved to his shoulder as she paused, looking into his eyes.

"Are you okay though? Like really okay." She watched him try and control his emotions and she squeezed his shoulder as she waited for his reply. His mouth opened then closed and she watched his eyes fill with tears before he broke down.

"...No I'm not." He said quietly as his voice cracked, she moved her arms to wrap around him, as he leaned his head against her shoulder. She held him rubbing his back as she felt wetness on her shoulder, his shoulders shaking in silent sobs. He told Mandy what happened when he confronted Mickey, and how much it hurt, how the physically pain wasn't anything close to the emotional, how he couldn't even become an alcoholic if he wanted to.

She rubbed his back and held him, until he had calmed down and the tears stopped, leaving his eyes red, and puffy, she left the room and brought them leftover food and frozen vegetables to bring down the puffiness of his eyes, telling him how he didn't want them all puffy tomorrow when he was meeting new people in the army.

They ate and Mandy told him to stay the night and how they would lock her door and that no one woke up early after a night of drinking, he agreed and the rest of the night they enjoyed each other company and didn't talk about anything serious, joking around, playing video games and talking about what celebrity's they found attractive.

They went to sleep shortly after they heard her family come home, Mandy locked the door and at seeing Ian's look of longing directed at it she pulled him under the covers with her, and held him until she felt his heart rate slow. They fell asleep in each other arms, feeling safe and loved with someone who understood and didn't break their heart or expect anything, someone who loved them unconditionally and platonically. It was just what both of them needed before facing the next day.

The next morning they woke up to Ian's alarm, he set it so he'd have a enough time to go home and get his stuff with time to spare. They both got up and left the room, hearing snoring from the couch where Terry was passed out.

Ian took a deep breath and made his way to the washroom, managing to avoid looking at the bundle on the bed as he bladder made it urgency known. He finished and washed his hands, staring at himself in the mirror before he stepped out of the bathroom and into Mickey's room.

He couldn't help as his eyes were drawn to the sleeping figure on the bed, he wasn't even under the covers, but didn't stir at all, an empty bottle near his hand as he slept. Ian stared for a moment, almost taking a mental picture of what he wouldn't have, he frowned and peeled his eyes away, forcing his emotions away as he left the room, closing the door behind him and not looking back.

Mandy walked him to the door and they stood there for a moment before she spoke, pulling him into a hug.

"I'm just a phone call away, anytime." She spoke softly, and he hugged her back.

"Same for you, take care of yourself Mandy." Ian said replied with a soft smile, squeezing her slightly in the hug before he pulled away. She gave a sad smile as she waved as he closed the door.

He made his way back to the Gallagher house, he needed to get his army stuff. When he got there only Fiona was up and he briefly talked to her as he explained he had to take a bus early this morning, she even helped him back some stuff, he quietly said bye to Liam who was still sleeping, and Fiona gave him a hug before he left, telling him to enjoy his training camp.

He was lucky Lip was still sleeping, he didn't have to lie to him as well, Lip was the one most likely to find out he was lying, not that he didn't think he could pull it off, but it was easier not having to worry about the possibility. Before he left he changed his cell phone number, Deleting Mickey's number off his phone, he didn't want to be tempted to contact Mickey and with a new number he wouldn't have to be tempted to contact his family once they started worrying.

He sent off a quick text to Mandy with the new number and got onto the bus, focusing on his dreams of joining the army.

Mandy upon getting the text from Ian saved his number on her phone under a fake name, "Justin" she almost put Timberlake after but thought that was too obvious for a fake name. She decided today was the day she was going to confront Lip, she had enough to worry about with the wedding and Mickey. Dealing with her unrequited soulmate who cheated on her with his other one sided soulmate wasn't what she wanted to add to it.

Her words to Ian about how the timing and being on your own was how she started seeing Lip. She loved him, of course she did even if she hadn't told him but she was tired of being cheated on, the bond let her know each time Lip had slept with his ex, seemed hers let her know when he wasn't being honest as well as she could feel when he was having sex. Karen calling her confirmed it too, It was just after the time Lip accidently kissed her and revealed to her that he was her soulmate that she felt it, it broke her heart. She was already overwhelmed and trying to think of how to tell he was her soulmate when she felt it, it was a horrible night and she'd been spending less time with him since.

Her brothers and Terry were still passed out from last night, and the wedding wasn't until this evening. She made her way to the Gallagher's house, luckily Lip was there and it seemed like Fiona and the kids weren't there.

Lip smiled at her and said he was just getting ready for the wedding and how it was good that Ian was at training camp and wouldn't have to be around for it. She couldn't help thinking she would of done anything for him, she got him into college with paying the application fees herself. She cut him off and put the hard Milkovich mask on her face as she spoke.

"I'm here to uninvite you actually." She stated.

"What, why?" Lip asked sounding genuine, which made her anger spike a bit.

"You've been cheating on me and I'm done with it." She said sounding annoyed but paused at the confused look on his face and continued with a bitter smile.

"No need to look so confused, Karen Jackson told me all about it." She said with a forced laugh.

"Fuck, I'm sorry. I ended things with her I promise, like weeks ago." He said stepping closer to her, her expression broke and the pain showed through.

"I can't do this, being cheated on is one thing but when its by your one sided soulmate with another one sided soulmate... It's too much." He opened his mouth then closed it looking shocked but sincere, his blue eyes drawing her in, she sighed and let herself one more moment of weakness as she moved forward into his space. Her lips connected with his and he responded instantly, kissing her back, and it was tender but full of passion. She couldn't help wanting an actual kiss with him after everything, she pulled away giving him a forced smile with watery eyes.

"We're over, I want a serious relationship and you need time to figure out what you want." She spoke, he looked at her speechless for a moment and as he was about to speak as she cut him off.

"Don't." Mandy said angerly, then she paused before her tone went softer.

"Go to College and make something of yourself okay." She said while making her way to the door and leaving the house. She sighed to herself as she made her way back home to deal with this disaster of a marriage. Today was going to be a long day.

Mickey woke up with a headache and didn't want to get out of bed, he wanted to drink more but Terry had specified that he wasn't to get drunk until after the wedding, not wanting any reason for the marriage officiant to not sign off on the wedding certificate for whatever fucking reason.

He really didn't want to go through the day not feeling numb, but had no choice. Instead he decided to chain smoke as much as possible, it barely managed to sooth his nerves and the bond was crying out for Gallagher, longing for him. It was a lot easier to blame it on the bond instead his actual feelings. Maybe if he told himself it was the bond it would be true.

He forced himself out of bed, and into the shower, Mandy was already gone, probably preparing for the wedding as terry insisted it was a woman's job and Mandy was the only non hand whore one to help decorate.

He plastered the Milkovich mask of indifference on his face and went on with the day like he didn't care what was happening.

It was when he got to the wedding venue and put on his suit that he was crawling out of his skin, he felt itchy and uncomfortable, the collar was too tight and his stomach was turning. He needed to step out to cool his head and get himself under control.

Soon he was pacing and smoking and trying not punch a wall or just leave and never come back that he almost jumped at hearing Mandy's voice.

"Wedding day jitters?" She asked him and he couldn't even bring himself to attempt to laugh, not trusting it to not turn into a hysterical kind of laugh, which was the last thing he wanted to deal with.

"Course I'm just so fucking nervous to be married to a hand whore for the rest of my life." He responded with a dead panned expression. She gave a small snort before she moved to lean against the wall closer to him.

"I bet... How are you really?" she asked sincerely and Mickey let out a small sigh.

"Fuck do you think? I'm have to stay sober and marry her for her green card cause of Terry finding out about Gallagher. When I really just want to leave and drink and not think about any of this shit." He said sounding annoyed and a bit hopeless, she gave a bitter smile and opened her mouth to speak before Iggy came in telling them the wedding was about to start.

He headed to the door and Mandy stepped in his way and held out a flask to him. He blinked at her, not expecting her to have a flask on her that was still mostly full.

"Hurry up, one sip won't hurt." She said when he didn't take it from her, he grabbed it taking a quick swig before handing it back to her and giving her a small smile as they made their way back to the venue.

They quickly got on with the wedding, Svetlana held his hand as soon as she got to the alter and he wrapped his hand around hers even though he just wanted to pull his hands away. Mickey stared blankly ahead at her as they started the ceremony, it was at the part where they asked if anyone had a reason for them not to wed speak now that his eyes glanced around the room, not seeing any Gallagher's, Lip or Ian. He had expected to see one if not both of them, maybe he was even secretly hoping for one of the to object. Seems that wouldn't be the case and just as he was about to look back at Svetlana he heard a loud voice.

"I object."
