Since the little adventure with Domino being taken to the vet and back home had been quite a time for Charlie and the Plantars. Once Anne was feeling better after her appointment with the dentist. Charlie and the Plantars had talked with Anne about the day that happened.
"So you almost lost Domino as she escaped from the carrier?" asked Anne with a raised eyebrow.
"We're sorry that happened Anne. We were worried about being considered freeloaders like Cousin Stanley, or at least we were thinking he was related to us. We were so worried about being considered as such that we'd end up in a tougher spot or that we'd be seen in a negative light by your parents. So that's one of the reasons why we volunteered to take Domino to the vet that day." confessed Hop Pop.
"And that Sprig got a hold of my dad for assistance and that's why you found out she was at the nearest shawarma restaurant?" asked Anne.
"Yes. But somehow, even if how we got Domino back was a little chaotic. Still, Charlie was quite the good voice of reason for us. He reassured us that your parents, and his family, don't consider us freeloaders at all but consider us family and family doesn't kick out family nor does family owe each other anything because you do for family. He actually proven to be right about your dad being a much more reasonable, compassionate, loving guy. He's more understanding than Charlie predicted." Sprig confessed.
"And Charlie was assisting you guys when you met him on the bus?" asked Anne.
"Affirmative on that one. Things may have been rocky but everything went smooth. I was able to sense Domino's mind activity." Charlie confessed.
"But you should've seen Charlie calm down all the animals at the vet. He was like an animal expert who knew how to calm even the grumpiest of animals." said Polly.
Anne looked at Charlie with surprise yet she knew that Charlie was an animal expert yet she didn't expect him to put his expertise to good use. Even when she found out how he calmed down Domino. He winked at her with a nod. She wrapped an arm around Charlie and the Plantars.
"Despite how rocky things got. You guys rise to the occasion. I'm glad you guys did that." thanked Anne. "So, while I was under the influence of painkillers. Did I say anything embarrassing to anyone?"
"You only said that Domino was some almighty being, pressing on my face, said Charlie was a Demigod from another universe. But your parents figured that you being under the effects of painkillers was what had you talking about things they probably wouldn't believe. They thought it was the painkillers talking." reassured Hop Pop. "And that you said you smoked behind the house when no one was looking."
"Wait, what?" said Anne about to panic.
"Just kidding about the smoking." Hop Pop confessed.
"Oh Hop Pop." laughed Anne.
Boonchuy Residence in the Morning
Anne had stayed up literally all night as she was researching for a way to get the Plantars home as she kept looking on many other websites that could have information on interdimensional portals to other worlds. She used the Doogle search engine and tried using other sites that came up in the search results that looked like the most helpful.
She tried WooHoo! Queries, Big Ol' Wiki about Multiverses, some videos on a site called Toob that had millions of videos posted for others to watch and be entertained, she looked on many websites but all searches came up with nothing. Her eyes shown exhaustion as she rarely blinked. She even tried UFO Forumz site but got interrupted once it was already morning and her mother called from downstairs for breakfast, she didn't listen at first but ran downstairs when she called a second time.
The Plantars were watching television in the living room. Eating cereal for breakfast as they surfed through a few channels on the television and stopped at what looked a channel showing an anime cartoon where one of the kid characters shown a resemblance to Charlie somehow.
"Hey, what's that?" said Sprig pointing the anime out.
The anime appeared to be some sort of fantasy, adventure and martial arts genre mixed into one. It shown a young boy who was Charlie's age, both muscular, handsome yet a friendly teenager in a T-shirt and jeans. He was running at such fast speeds just like Charlie when he's at full power. He shown to have jumped off a cliff but his long, thick, shoulder length, dark hair and his eyes turned gold as he used some sort of gold energy that formed from his body to blast himself into the air as he could fly.
"Yaaahooooo!" cheered the boy.
It shown him flying across the forest and now into a nearby city but he could hear people screaming in terror. He looked down to see people in the city panicking and running from what looked like a powerful being that had a humanoid shaped body but he had green skin with a darker shade of skin spots all over him, pale skin on his face as he appeared to look like a bug like alien who was blasting lasers down on people.
"Puny humans! World domination will be easy once I take down their world leaders." said the bug like alien.
"Maybe we should get some bug killer since you're our new pest problem, Mushi." called the boy with an insult.
The enemy stopped and saw that the boy was flying in the air, facing hm and ready to fight back and defend the people of the city.
"You're that boy they call Roku. Beat it, you brat! Go back to your bedroom where your mother will wake you up for school." insulted Mushi.
"Leave the people alone. No one else is going to die because of you." warned Roku.
Mushi raised his hands up and blasted multiple deadly lasers from his fingers like firing a gun at Roku which the boy dodged them successfully in a graceful dance like motion. This angered Mushi while the population in the city looked up and were looking hopeful yet curious.
"Hey, who's that up there?" called one of the adult city people.
"He's a kid. No older than my son." replied another male adult.
"Hold still, you little brat!" screamed Mushi.
"What? You don't like do the dance revolution? Your no fun." Roku teased.
Roku dodged the last laser and Mushi flew and charged at him with a scream of rage while Roku dodged his moves and everytime he tried to land a punch or kick to him, Roku dodged him and instead, Roku landed a punch or kick to Mushi. He landed a powerful punch to the enemy's face that it sent him flying forty feet away as he was now dizzy and somehow still able to levitate.
"Is that all you got!? When I take you down and take over this pathetic world of puny humans. They'll all fear me. So give me your best shot, punk!" Mushi dared.
"Careful what you wish for." said Roku with a grin.
Roku cupped his hands and drawn them to his side and a light blue ball of energy was forming in his hands and he began to powerfully shout out what sounded like "Yaaaa-meeeee-yaaaa-meeee-HAAAAAAAAA!" and as he shouted powerfully, he thrusted his cupped hand forward and he shot out a streaming, powerful beam of blue energy at Mushi which the blast was so powerful that it destroyed Mushi. It took a minute for the energy blast to disappear while the people of the city saw this happening in the sky.
"Just like roaches. They check in but they don't check out." said Roku.
The people in the city cheered for him as he had saved their lives, homes and their city. Roku gave them a salute before he teleported away.
"Who was that kid?" said a male adult who wore a suit and tie. Appearing to the be mayor.
A group of children nearby with their parents as they cheered and chanted "Dragon Boy" over and over in victorious unison. That was when pop music was playing as they saw what looked like an eighteen-year-old male singing out the words as if it were a theme song of some sort.
"Hey, look it's the Dragon Boy. It's time for a new story. He flies all around the world as you see-e-e. He always heeds the call and is above it all. What a great adventure this will be-e-e-e. You can climb on board 'cause the Nimbus doesn't wait. A fantastic journey for your dreams. A thrilling myste-e-e-e-ery"
As the music continued to play along. There were brief clips of Roku traveling around the world, saving lives, taking down bad guys and using what looked like seven magical orbs with stars on them and he used them to make a wish to be granted by a mystical green dragon and each time he used the magical orbs. He'd use the wishes to undo all the damages that were done to the earth, reviving all the lives that died and to undo everything the bad guys have done.
"Don't you mess with a woman or you'll see. The power of the Dragon Boy will be set free. Rising, rising, mesmerizing. Unbridled ecstas-y-y-y-y-y. Radiant and shining, hidden somewhere in field. Luminous and blinding, with your desires revealed. Ageless, timeless. What you'll find is beyond belie-e-e-e-ef. Let's try, try, try. He flies high and low. Search the sky and the sea below. As the music came to an end. There was a clip that shown Roku landing on the ground with his feet and he gives the viewers the peace sign with his left hand while his hair and eyes were still gold with the logo "Dragon Boy Z" showing up on the bottom of the screen in reddish gold lettering. The Plantars looked on with curiosity as this "Roku" shown a shocking, nearly identical appearance to Charlie.
"That kid from that show looks like Charlie." said Sprig.
"You don't think...?" said Hop Pop.
They all thought for a moment, looked at another and suddenly brushed it off as they shrugged their shoulders. Thinking that it was just a coincidence that a cartoon character shown a resemblance to Charlie. Anne walked right in and sat on the couch with a bowl of cereal as well, she groaned and looked tired as if she ran a marathon at night. The Plantars looked right at her with worry.
"Whoa. Someone didn't sleep." said Sprig.
"Nope. I spent all night researching ways to get you guys home, and possibly the night before that. I've found nothing so far. Even Charlie has found nothing but he's not the type to stay up all night to research till the sun comes up. That, and I didn't want to bother him if he was asleep at night." said Anne.
Mrs. Boonchuy walked in and sat down nearby Anne, placing a hand through her messy hair for a moment.
"You? Researching? Who are you and what have you done with my daughter?" joked Mrs. Boonchuy.
"Har har. So I was thinking. What if there's a second calamity box here on Earth? So I mapped out every thrift store in a fifty-mile radius and if we leave right now-" Anne began as she looked through a mapping app on her phone.
"Pass. Dragon Boy Z isn't gonna binge itself-" said Polly brushing it off.
"Anne, does Roku seem to look an awful lot like Charlie?" asked Hop Pop pointing something out.
The show Dragon Boy Z was still on and it shown Roku being trained by a tall, slender male tiger that was humanoid looking. He stood next to the male tiger who was teaching him a fighting move.
"Master Yoshi, how does one breathe fire straight from their mouth? People aren't known for that." said Roku looking confused.
"Think of it like the Yameyameha wave but you do it with your mouth. You are more than my student. You are my son and I'll always love you and be proud of you for who you are. Try to focus your attention on that target I set up for you. Be sure to keep your face in the direction of the target." said Master Yoshi.
Roku looked at a melee target that was made of wood and looked like a scarecrow with a frightening looking mask for a face. He kept his face and his line of vision focused on the target as he shown a stoic expression.
"And to motivate this new move. Try to imagine that some brutish man had assaulted a woman and that this man has no respect for a woman whatsoever and you see he needs to be taught a lesson in respecting a woman." said Master Yoshi giving some motivation.
Roku imagined that the melee target was a brutish thug who slapped an innocent woman who tried to rob her and that's when he felt a strong power rising inside him.
"Lay your dirty hands off that woman!" cried Roku.
A flaming red fire came from the boy's mouth as he let out a loud, realistic lion like roar and he breathed a powerful blast of fire out of his mouth like a dragon and he torched the wooden target on fire. His sensei cheered for him.
"The brute messes with a lady. They mess with you or me." said Master Yoshi proudly.
After Roku's fire breath stopped, the wooden target was now nothing but smoking ashes. Master Yoshi looked on with a smile.
"And they say some lessons will burn ya." joked Roku.
Master Yoshi wrapped his arms around the boy and hugged him as he shown his love to him through a form of affection as he was subtle about it. Roku hugged him back.
"The spirit of the dragon warrior lives within you. You've demonstrated the dragon's breath of fire perfectly. Your mother would be proud of the man you're becoming as much as I am proud of the man you've become. Watashi wa itsumo anata o watashi no musuko to shite aishimasu." said Master Yoshi as the Japanese words were translated into English at the bottom of the screen.
"Watashi wa itsumo anata o aishimasu otōsan." said Roku as the Japanese words were translated into English at the bottom of the screen.
The television screen shown the two having a father and son moment as a big red heart formed high above them and it ended there while the ending credits shown. The Plantars shed a tear from the touching moment.
"So touching!" said Hop Pop.
"You gotta love them family moments!" said Polly.
"And it only took three seasons!" said Sprig.
"He actually does look like Charlie." said Anne taking notice. "Although, why does it feel like me and Charlie are the only ones trying to find a way back to Amphibia? Well, the only difference with me and Charlie is he didn't stay up all night researching."
"Anne, we have been trying. But it's okay to take a day off to recharge every now and then. Even when Charlie pushes himself to the limit but he knows when to call it a day. Why not you take a day off or two and do the same?" Sprig kindly advised.
"There's no time, you guys. Come on. Let's get back to research." said Anne.
That's when Anne's mother came in and turned the television off with the remote as she had something to say to Anne after hearing their conversation.
"Since you seem to enjoy research so much now, what if you all spent a day at the museum and wrote a report? You have a lot of make-up schoolwork to do." Mrs. Boonchuy suggested.
That's when Anne remembered that her mother was right since both her and Charlie were away for months and it's possible their schoolwork piled up. Anne even saw on a nearby table that she had four textbooks on the table. They appeared to have been there since she disappeared off into Amphibia since they had a thin layer of dust on them and some webs of some sort around two spots which Mrs. Boonchuy than went over to clean the dust and webs off but also sprayed around the area.
"AW! DO WE HAVE TO?!" groaned Anne and the Plantars in unison.
"Yes. I'm also cleaning the house. There's slime everywhere and I'm not pointing fingers, but I need you all out of the way. Not going to lie. It looks like that green ghost from that eighties film came in and slimed the house. If I was on the floor covered in the stuff and I'd say that the ghost slimed me, it wouldn't get anymore eighties decade than that." said Mrs. Boonchuy.
When she mentioned the slime in the house. They took a look at the green slime that was on five spots of the ceiling, on a shelf and two spots on the floor. In the center of the ceiling, some slime dripped down onto the center of the floor, making it the third spot on the floor in the living room with slime being covered.
"Gross, Anne." said Polly.
"Last I remember. Humans don't produce thick layers of green slime from their bodies." Anne pointed out.
"She's got us there." said Sprig with a chuckle.
"I'll give you guys a ride to the museum. Before anyone goes there. Let's be sure to use the bathroom before we go." advised Mrs. Boonchuy.
"Okay." they said in unison as they went to the bathroom.
Later At The Museum
Mrs. Boonchuy drove down the road as she drove Anne and the Plantars towards the museum which they went in the red minivan. They made it and drove up to the sidewalk the led to the front entrance of the museum. The building was a grand red brick building, with arch windows along the front, with gold rims. It had a marble entrance resembling a cathedral, as well as a domed roof. There was a fake mammoth on the left side of the property. The door to the car opened automatically.
"I'll pick you up at six. Have fun! But also learn!" said Mrs. Boonchuy.
They groaned as they unbuckled their seat belts while they made it out of the car.
"I think the world would be surprised that you're dating Dragon Boy Roku." joked Mrs. Boonchuy.
"Never heard that one before." said Anne sarcastically.
As Mrs. Boonchuy closed the car door. She put on her glasses and drove off. Anne and the Plantars walked up the small flight of stairs and inside the museum. The sign outside read "Museum of Natural History" above the front entrance in gold lettering. Once inside. They reacted with awe from how amazing the museum looked inside.
There was an entire T-Rex skeleton on the left, a Velociraptor sculpture on the right, the sculpture of a Pteranodon hung up near the ceiling while it was next to an entire skeleton of a Plesiosaurus. The building had two floors and the room they were in had four other entrances that takes the visitors to other rooms with different exhibits. There was plenty of people there to visit the museum and it was a good thing that the Plantars were in their human disguises or they'd draw the wrong attention to themselves.
"Ma'am, I found your son." came a male's voice.
Anne and the Plantars turned to see Charlie was also at the museum. He was reunited a lost five-year-old boy with his mother. The two of them embraced each other.
"I'm grateful for you on finding my baby." said the lady looking relieved.
"Learned it from the family and always glad to help out. Just imagine when he's a teenager. Maybe he'll be six feet tall and muscular like a basketball player." said Charlie while making a lighthearted joke.
"Oh you." she laughed as she walked off with her child.
"Always looking after other's children when they're unattended till they're back with their parents, huh?" called Anne.
Anne and the Plantars came over to Charlie as he greeted them with a hug and they hugged back for a moment.
"You know me. Learned it from the family." said Charlie with a chuckle. "So what brings you guys here?"
"I'm having to do a report since my make-up schoolwork has piled up when stuck in Amphibia. I'd rather not talk about it." said Anne while showing she wasn't amused by the idea of doing such a thing. "You're probably here for the same thing, right?"
"Close. I'm catching up on my final make-up schoolwork. When we got back. I whizzed right through a lot of it and I'm doing the final bit of it." said Charlie admitting he too had make-up work from school. "I'm probably not making that sound any better, am I?"
"I know you never intended to make it sound like a bad thing." said Anne with a yawn.
"Anne, did you sleep?" asked Charlie looking concerned.
"Not going to lie. I may have been staying up all night researching on how to get us all back to Amphibia until the sun literally came up. Twice." Anne confessed.
"Okay, while I admire you wanting to get them back home so we can stop King Andrias and his army. I don't like the idea of you doing something without rest. So promise me you'll try to get some sleep tonight. I don't want your health to be affected. Without any rest. That cloaked Frobot or King Andrias and his army would finish us off way too easily. So please try to get some sleep tonight." said Charlie showing concern and worry.
"I'll try to. Besides, we're both taking on a lot as it is." Anne replied.
"That's true." said Charlie in agreement. "Let's show them around the museum. Also, they do know we're not supposed to touch anything in here, correct?"
"Anne told us about it on the car ride over." reassured Sprig. "I'm pretty sure that everything in here is ancient and hard to repair if broken. That incident at the local mall in town speaks for itself."
"Then let's have some fun." said Anne and Charlie in unison.
Anne and Charlie began showing the Plantars around the museum as the room they were in left them intrigued. They at first looked at the skeletons and sculptures of dinosaurs.
"Whoa! Looks like you guys used to have a monster problem too." said Sprig pointing at the Velociraptor.
"Sixty-five million years ago we did but that was before humans became the dominant species of Earth." said Anne.
"So what kind of monster was this one?" asked Polly pointing at the T-Rex skeleton. "It looks like that creature from that dinosaur film Charlie shown us."
"You are right about that. Thar's the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Same dinosaur we saw in that dino flick. Especially when he eaten that lawyer off the toilet." said Charlie trying not to laugh.
"And that dino was probably like "Mmm, lawyer. Taste like deep rooted insecurity and bitterness" before the lawyer screamed out "I'm so sorry I ever took you on as a client" and cue the screaming." joked Polly.
"That's a little dark in the humor." chuckled Charlie.
"Look who you're talking to." chuckled Polly while lifting her eyebrows.
They laughed as the humor was spot on which they were off to a good start with everything at the museum. Sprig pointed out some of the other dinosaurs that he didn't know the names to which Charlie informed him and the Plantars the names of such dinosaurs. They walked into the exhibit room that turned out to be the Solar System room.
"So your world has more than one planet in your solar system?" said an amazed Hop Pop.
"That we do. We have nine of them in our solar system. Mercury being the smallest, Venus being the second planet from the sun, and close to Earth. Then there's Earth, our home world, Mars, often called Red Planet as it's as red as a hot Chile pepper, Jupiter being our largest sized planet, Saturn being ours sixth planet away from the sun, Uranus being our seventh planet from the sun, Neptune being a little smaller than Uranus, but seventeen times bigger than earth, Pluto is our coldest planet as it's found three point seven billion miles from the sun. All nine planet in our solar system in order." Charlie explained.
"Whoa! And did your people actually take space missions to the moon?" said Sprig looking intrigued.
"Sometimes. I remember once we got to see footage of astronauts going on a space mission to show us what it's like up there. They found an alien they made friends with up there. They named him Norm." said Charlie with a grin. "Just kidding about the alien."
They chuckled at Charlie's joke as they saw a glowing model of Earth. The Plantars were wide eyed with amazement as they had a twinkle in their eyes. Anne yawned while Charlie kept close to them.
"Wait, your people think the world is round?!" said Hop Pop looking surprised.
"Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody believed the Earth was flat which took time to prove that the Earth was round and not flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you guys found out how our solar system works and what it looks like along with how Earth appears to be. If I had the ability to pour information into your minds to give you a speedier course in education on anything and everything, imagine what you'd know by tomorrow if that were possible." said Charlie.
"Is there such thing as speed reading?" asked Hop Pop looking amazed at what else Charlie knows about his own world.
"There is such a thing as speed reading. I learned how to do that last year." answered Charlie.
The next room they entered was where the ancestors to the human race had begun. Polly got a closer look at two wax figures of cavemen. One of them shown to be hitting another over the head with a wooden club.
"Wow. I like these guys. They get it." said Polly looking pleased.
"So did he, over his head." joked Charlie. "But the human race has evolved as time went on. We went from discovering fire to discovering cures for diseases to creating vaccines and booster shots."
"Now that I can relate to." said Polly.
"See? We can have a fun one-off just like we did in Amphibia. Even Charlie's having fun making some jokes." said Hop Pop.
Hop Pop turned his attention to Anne and saw she was researching on a portal laptop of hers. She looked like she might be hard to bring her back to reality at first. Hop Pop attempted to get Anne's attention but it didn't work.
"I can bring her back to Earth." Charlie chimed in.
Charlie sucked in a big amount of air and sung a loud, operatic note that last a good ten seconds which that worked in getting Anne's attention as she jerked away from the laptop she had with her.
"What? I'm here!" said Anne her attention now being on them.
"Anne, you got to take a break from all this research!" said Hop Pop.
"I'm with Hop Pop on this one. Lack of rest is seriously going to lead to a huge drop in the physical and mental performance. Even coffee can only keep us awake for so long." Charlie voiced his worry.
"Don't worry, guys. I'm fine, I'm fine." said Anne denying her exhaustion.
"Burning yourself out isn't going to help us get home to Amphibia. I once went a day or two without sleep when I overworked myself that we had to take three days to rest and relax. And I never wanna overwork myself like that again." said Hop Pop showing his worry and concern.
Anne suddenly looked forwards and there was an artifact, a vase like artifact that was green that had a frog and the Calamity Box carved into it along with a boat with what looked like Vikings sailing at sea.
"Anne, what are you looking at?" said Charlie taking notice that something got her attention.
Anne pointed at the vase that she spotted as it was in a glass case. They all turned to see the vase and their eyes widened with shock. They approached it to get a closer look to it.
"Call me crazy. But that looks like..." Sprig began.
"One of us." Polly finished for him.
"At least we got our first clue and our first lead. I was thinking we had to look for something at an archaeological digging site and dig a huge hole or more till it looked like the surface of the moon." said Charlie looking relieved. "Otherwise, it would be like that film about a mystery being solved at some juvenile detention center."
"I don't believe it. Could this be the clue we've been looking for? Charlie, you may actually be right." said Anne with a grin.
Charlie suddenly sensed they weren't alone as he sensed the mind and brainwaves of a woman nearby and was approaching them from behind them.
"Incoming from behind us." said Charlie.
"Didn't expect to see frogs in here, eh?" came a lady's voice.
They all turned around to see that Charlie was right. Someone approached them from behind and it was a lady. The lady appeared to be an African American woman somewhere between her twenties to thirties. She appeared to be taller than Anne and possibly Charlie as well. She was wearing a pair of red glasses, yellowish white gloves on both her hands, a yellow shirt with Dinosaurs skeletons on it, a pair of brown khaki pants that's held by a black belt with a silver buckle and a pair of purple and grey boots. She had her ID card hanging from her neck like a necklace.
Charlie could immediately sense something good about her as she shown to be having some similar physical features of Imani. She had the same body type, eyes, color shade of hair and her skin tone as Imani.
"Ah! What? Frogs? Huh?" said Anne in a panic as the Plantars hid behind both Anne and Charlie.
"Calm down guys. I'm sensing some good vibes about her. Nothing to worry about." reassured Charlie.
It took them a moment to see that the lady wasn't talking about the Plantars but they looked at the vase and back at the lady. They even saw Charlie give them a nod of approval as if he was placing his faith and trust in the woman to show that she's on their side.
"Oh, you're talking about the pot." said Anne relieved.
"Sure! What did you think I was talking about? Aliens and otherworldly beings?" joked the woman with a laugh.
"Dr. Jan Paula. The curator of this museum." Charlie guessed as he was able to figure out who she is from delving into her mind.
"Someone's observant and knows who's who here. It would be surprising if he turned out to be alien from another universe and had the ability to read minds. But that's just me making jokes. He probably saw my ID card." said Dr. Jan with a chuckle.
"Sure, I could see your ID card info from here. I'm definitely no alien from another universe. Not everyone is like Roku from Dragon Boy Z." said Charlie with a hiccup.
"He's funny but yes, I'm a curator here and an AVID lover of all things ancient." said Dr. Jan giving Hop Pop a wink.
"Why'd she wink at me?" whispered Hop Pop.
"I think she's poking some humor." Charlie told him telepathically.
Dr. Jan approached the pot and started to explain what she knows so far about the vase and its carvings, or at least what she believes she knows.
"So, staring at this pot, eh? Interesting, isn't it? The frog here is depicted in a very unconventional fashion bipedal. Oh! It must have been some kind of deity." said Dr. Jan.
"Some kind of Goddess from an ancient time, probably from over a thousand years ago." guessed Charlie.
"Most likely, yes." said Dr. Jan. "With someone as handsome and intelligent as you. I'll bet you have a lot of girls chasing you."
"I'm actually already dating my dream woman. I'll give you a hint on who she is. Around my height, Thai descent, messy brown hair and she's so fine." said Charlie giving Anne a grin and a flirtatious look with his eyebrows lifting up and down.
"I see what you did there." said Anne with a chuckle.
"So someone has himself a soul sista for a girlfriend. Them women and men are probably jealous of you two." bragged Dr. Jan. "Whoever this frog like person is. Maybe it's a frog-shaped alien, right, from another dimension."
Hearing her say that caused the Plantars to look nervous with a nervous sweat building up, Anne and Charlie's eyes widened as they were worried about her finding out that the Plantars are otherworldly creatures from another world and that Charlie's powers were that of extraterrestrial origin.
"What?" said Hop Pop nervously.
"Frog-shaped?" said Polly faking her shock.
"Is that even possible?" said Charlie trying to have a calm face.
Dr. Jan laughed a bit as she knew what she said sounded ridiculous to others at first glance.
"Sorry, sorry. I'm really into cryptids. You know, UFO's and stuff." said Dr. Jan showing them her earrings.
She had shown them her earrings that shown to be looking like flying alien saucers with a green alien's face printed on them. Charlie immediately picked up on what she told them and knew that she was into anything otherworldly.
"Anyway, you got any other questions?" asked Dr. Jan.
"I do." chimed in Charlie. "Have you ever been abducted by aliens from another world, had any encounters with such beings or seen any strange activity involving them?"
"Abducted? Nope. Encountered such beings or activity? Not really. Seen anything, that's gonna sound weird because I did see something thirteen years ago." said Dr. Jan admitting the truth.
"Thirteen years ago. I saw what looked like an old man in his sixties. He was glowing a gold light all over, his eyes and hair was glowing gold, a gold energy wave of some sort was flashing and glowing all around him. He at first appeared to be weak and dying and I tracked him down to a suburban neighborhood in L.A and there was a bright flash of gold light somewhere nearby but it faded away the moment I entered the neighborhood. But couldn't figure out where in that neighborhood since it was like he just vanished into thin air. So the trail ran cold." explained Dr. Jan.
They knew that what she told them meant that this glowing gold man had to be the spirit of the Leotárian man who poured all of his powers into Charlie when he was a baby. Now they knew that they couldn't elaborate further with Dr. Jan for Charlie's sake but for some odd reason. Charlie was sensing good vibes from her and that he sensed she is trustworthy of keeping a secret under wraps.
"Did you get a look at this man?" asked Charlie curiously.
"Just the outline of his body and I think he had a muscular body." answered Dr. Jan.
"How did you know it was a man?" asked Hop Pop.
"This man had a muscular body that no woman on Earth could possess." answered Dr. Jan.
"Do you know anything about portals to-" Sprig began but Anne came in and covered his mouth with her left hand.
"Nope. Not at all. Actually, I-"
"Mind if I take it from here?" Charlie chimed in. "Dr. Jan. So far, we got nothing further to ask but this gold being you saw and tried to track down thirteen years ago. You only saw him from a distance but had no interaction with him whatsoever?"
"Correct. It happened around the time when I was in high school or at least about to finish up high school." answered Dr. Jan. "Sure wish I knew where that mysterious being went off to because I didn't even have the time to take a picture of him. It flashed by really fast but I knew I saw someone or something. But you're the first I told any of this to. I knew that if I told anyone else. They probably wouldn't believe me without any proof. The government can be skeptical if all one has is their word."
They all knew that what Dr. Jan told them was something they believe as they remembered Madame Valeriana told them about what she knew about Charlie's powers and their origins. Anne and the Plantars only knew from what Valeriana told them but Charlie knew a little bit more than what was told to them but not by much more than they knew. Charlie really wanted to inform her on what she saw as he really sensed that she's trustworthy and he could tell she could keep a secret. But he knew that they were in no position to tell her about that without exposing the Plantars as a result. He knew he had to keep his lips sealed.
"I understand. That'll be all." said Charlie as he shown a stoic expression. "If we see anything. We'll let you know. If you see anything. Keep us informed. But if we see anything. This strictly stays between you and us. You know how the government is when something out of this world is found here on Earth."
"They'd have a field day." said Charlie and Dr. Jan in unison.
"Well. if you changed your mind, just holler "Dr. Jan" and I'll fly in like an information superhero." said Dr. Jan making a superhero pose.
Anne and the Plantars looked on in confusion but Charlie kept a stoic face while giving her a salute. He gave her a wink as if to show a sign of trust.
"Uh- Dr. Jan away!" said Dr. Jan as she walked in reverse while moving her arms like noodles as she made flying sound effects when she left the room.
Anne removed her hand from Sprig's mouth while they all breathed a sigh of relief.
"Hey! Why did you two leave her in the dark? Maybe she knows something." said Sprig.
"What? Come on, dude. We don't know anything about that lady. How do you know we can trust her?" argued Anne.
"Paranoid much?" replied Polly.
"We can trust her." Charlie told them.
Charlie turned to face them as they looked on at him with surprise. They saw he was placing his faith and trust into Dr. Jan, a lady they barely know.
"Look, I know we barely know her but even I feel like she has a right to know about something. She may know something we need to know but I can't tell her about my powers and their origins or Hop Pop, Sprig and Polly will be exposed and put at risk. But I think we can trust her. Something I saw in her mind told me we can trust her." Charlie explained.
"Are you sure we can trust her?" Anne argued.
"Yes, we can. But for now, only if she finds out anything, then we'll tell her and if anyone is to tell her anything afterwards, then let me handle it. You trust me in that, do you?" said Charlie as he held out his hand for Anne to take.
A minute ticked by and Anne let out a sigh as she took hold of Charlie's hand and shook it as she knows she can trust Charlie and place her faith in him in those terms of situation.
"Just one other thing. If that pot is our first clue in a couple of weeks of searching for anything in particular. What if there's a map painted on the bottom? Or a secret code that only shows up under black light? How would we find out if there's anything on it that could lead us closer to where we want to be?" asked Anne.
"Well, if you don't wanna ask that Dr. Jan for help, what are we gonna do? Rob the museum?" said Hop Pop jokingly.
Back at the Boonchuy's Residence
They were in Anne's room and they had a plan in mind to figure out the information they needed to know but the only two people out of the group that had a look of disgust was Charlie and Hop Pop.
"I still can't believe we're robbing the museum." said Charlie and Hop Pop in unison.
"If we get caught and arrested. I can hear the police, the judge and the jury laughing at us right now when we explain to them why we did it. They don't often believe children when they rob a museum of an artifact that could lead people to another world. Maybe if they were in Amphibia for a while, yes. But they're not going to believe us if we get caught." said Charlie pointing out the reality of the situation. "Incoming suspicious mom."
They heard Mrs. Bonnchuy call out for Anne as Charlie's prediction was right on cue. She entered Anne's room by peering her head through the now opened door.
"You guys okay in here?" asked Mrs. Boonchuy.
"All good! Just finishing that report! Charlie's giving me a hand with it. I got stumped on a few spots." lied Anne.
"Don't believe you, but okay." said Mrs. Boonchuy as she left the room and closed the door as she walked away.
"Looks like she bought it!" said Polly.
"That was a close call. That's the thing about mamas. They have a way of finding out everything. Even if they don't know anything at first, they eventually find out what their kids are up to. Believe me, I'm a witness." said Charlie.
They looked towards Anne who had fallen asleep. Sprig got her attention and she jerked awake. Charlie had some doubts about what they're doing since Anne was overworking herself to the point of being in between being awake and falling asleep. They were looking at a map that had to be a map of the museum.
"Huh? Where was I? Oh yeah. We did way more dangerous stuff in Amphibia. At least nothing here is gonna spit acid at us." said Anne with a note of positivity.
"Point taken." said Charlie.
"That you know of." said Polly showing skepticism.
"Polly, we don't have giant bugs in our world the size of dinosaurs. The largest land animal we have are elephants, largest sea animal is the blue whale. They don't spit acid. If they did, the human race would be decimated long time ago." reassured Charlie.
"Point taken." Polly said.
"Come on, guys. If you don't break a few rules for this, how are we ever gonna get back?" said Anne looking through her closet and looking back at Charlie and the Plantars.
They all looked at each other for a moment and knew they had no other choice. Charlie even knew they had no other choice and gave in as he knew they had to take a risk for this.
"So, what's the plan?" asked Sprig.
"We're going to dress in black, are we?" said Charlie rhetorically.
"Just like them secret agents that police and monitor all alien life and activity from those old films." said Anne.
She pulled out some black hoodie jackets from her closet. Sprig put on a black hoodie jacket that had a zipper, Hop Pop put on a black hoodie jacket that had no zipper which he had some difficulty getting it on him while Charlie assisted him, Anne put on a black sock hat, a dark purple T-shirt with what looked like an animal's skull on the front, black jean pants and she had her backpack on her. Polly had on a black hoodie jacket as well with a dark emoji face on the front that shown tears. Unfortunately, it was too big for her. Anne took notice and she used them to trim it down a bit and it finally fit Polly. She looked in the mirror with a grin ad turned around with a confident smile.
"Aha! Very into this. I wonder how Charlie looks." said Polly.
"Take a look." said Charlie.
They all turned to see Charlie was wearing his own black clothes. It consisted of a black T-shirt, black jean pants, black leather boots and a pair of black tactical sunglasses with black lenses.
"You wanna know what the difference is between you and me?" said Charlie with a confident face. "This soul brotha makes this look good."
"And this soul sista is loving that look." said Anne with a grin.
Later that night at the Museum
Anne, Charlie and the Plantars were at the museum. It was nightfall. They were hiding in a spot near the entrance which they saw two police officers at the entrance as the talked to each other. One of them was a slightly plump African American female adult and the other being a male adult with tanned skin. Anne instructed Hop Pop on what to do to distract the guards.
"So, my question is how did those bones get underground in the first place, huh Rodney? Unless the inhabitants died down there. Then that's the only guess I've got. That, and I've got my eyes on the cutest, sweetest white guy and I've noticed he's been looking at me so that means this white guy wants a little bit of a sista who's a wild child." said the female officer who slapped her own plump butt.
"You and this guy like each other and have started dating, have you Mitchell?" said Rodney.
"You know it." replied Mitchell.
Hop Pop approached them with a hop up the stairs and uttered a "Meow" sound which Charlie threw his voice and mimicked a realistic cat like "Meow" to assist in making Hop Pop's distraction look realistic as he was dressed up like a cat with the face paint, his feet wearing cat like shoes, and he wore fake cat like ears.
"Meow! I'm a cat." said Hop Pop.
He started to mimic a cat like purring sound which he was pulling it off perfectly as well as a cat like hissing. He began to lightly brush his hand over Mitchell's left foot and pulled her left shoe off and ran off with it as he uttered a few more "Meows"
"Hey! My shoe!" cried Mitchell.
"After that fabulous cat!" instructed Rodney.
The guards followed after Hop Pop to get Mitchell's shoe while Anne, Charlie, Sprig and Polly ran up to the front entrance. Anne instructed Polly to get them inside as she pulled her out from her backpack and she was on top of Anne's palm and Anne tossed her up to the ventilation duct, she caught hold of the vent and popped it off, hopping inside the vent. They waited for a minute and it didn't take too long for Polly to reach the front entrance to open up the door and had a confident expression as if she did the coolest thing she ever done.
"Sup, fools?" joked Polly.
They walked inside the museum and were inside the room they remembered from before earlier that day. Anne instructed Sprig to take out the cameras. Sprig hopped up high into the air and used his huge frog like tongue to take the cameras out as he used his huge tongue like a powerful hammer to destroy each camera so they wouldn't be seen or caught by security. Little did they know that the Cloak-Bot they fought before had tracked them down with a built-in gadget to track them down and find out their location.
"Alright Sprig. Come down. Oritekuru!" instructed Charlie.
Sprig came falling down and landed into Charlie's arms as he caught him and gently placed him on his feet to the floor. Hop Pop came back but wasn't in his cat costume, he was in his black clothing now as he returned to them.
"Those guards got tired of chasing me and stopped at a coffee shop. We got a good twenty minutes." said Hop Pop.
"And that's all we'll ever need." said Charlie.
"Nicely done. Now, all we have to do is- is-" said Anne appearing sleepy.
Anne nearly fell to the floor but Charlie caught her in his arms. She had fallen asleep.
"We should've planned this for tomorrow so she could sleep. No coffee on us." said Charlie. "Anne, wake up! Mewosamasu!"
"Right. Sorry. Let's do this thing." said Anne jerking awake.
Anne walked forwards and both Charlie and the Plantars followed. They were worried about Anne as she would be falling asleep at the wrong time but they felt like they should've gotten Anne to sleep for a bit before doing this mission. They couldn't back out now. They arrived at the room that had the vase but there was Infared lasers all around the room. If they touched one of them. The alarm would go off.
"That's a lot of lasers. Charlie, can you teleport your way in?" said Anne.
"I got a killer idea. Polly, you're with me." said Charlie.
He picked up Polly with both hands and knew that he had a good idea that is definitely going to work. He had a hold of Polly and the two teleported in a puff of gold smoke. Then they reappeared in front of the case that had the vase they were going for. Polly bared her sharp teeth and Charlie used her teeth like a buzzsaw to carve a hold into the glass. Charlie had on a pair of black rubber gloves as he pulled Polly off the glass which Charlie carefully placed the piece of glass in the casing and Polly used her sticky, huge tongue to grab the vase and pull it out while Charlie held onto both Polly and the vase.
"Them secret agents got nothing on us." said Charlie proudly.
"Wow! That was easy." said Sprig looking impressed.
"This isn't a movie, Sprig. Not everything has a dramatic twist." said Anne.
Charlie looked up and saw a shadow coming down on the skylight and the shadow was rapidly growing bigger and bigger as it came down and he suddenly knew what that shadow like figure was.
"Oh shit. Anne, we got to go!" cried Charlie as his voice sounded deep and low.
"What's the hurry?" asked Anne.
The glass from the skylight had something crash right through it while Charlie teleported both him, Polly and the vase with him and reappeared at Anne, Sprig and Hop Pop's side. The shadow like figure that crashed through the glass was the Cloak-Bot.
"That's what our hurry is." answered Charlie.
The Cloak-Bot got up and unfortunately for them. It touched the infrared lasers and as it laughed. The alarm was triggered. It spotted them.
"Polly, put the vase in the bag and do not leave my arms." instructed Charlie his voice still deep and low.
"Not you again!" said Anne wide eyed.
Polly placed the vase in Anne's backpack which she quickly zipped it up. They ran as the deadly robot chased after them, firing lasers at them but kept missing. The Plantars ran down one path but Anne and Charlie ran down a different path while the Cloak-Bot followed Anne and Charlie. It launched its left arm at them like a grappling hook and grabbed for them but missed and grabbed a sarcophagus and damaged the face part of it.
"I should power up, shouldn't I?" said Charlie said Charlie in his normal voice.
"Big time." replied Anne.
Charlie looked at the deadly robot with an enraged expression and let out a loud, realistic lion like roar as his eyes and hair turned gold with a powerful gold energy wave flashing around him. his muscles grew larger as he popped his neck. The Cloak-Bot saw that Charlie was powered up and knew it was going to have to step up its game.
"Secondary target has powered up. Maximum threat detected." said the Cloak-Bot.
"Hey you bucket of bolts!" screamed Polly.
The robot turned to see that they were lined up in armor with Hop Pop at the bottom, Sprig in the middle where he held two swords and Polly was on top with a swinging flail weapon. They charged at the Cloak-Bot.
"Leave... Them... ALONE!" shouted Polly as she tossed the flail at the robot.
They hoped it would hit and knocked it out but it caught the weapon with its right hand. Spun its body around twice and tossed the weapon at the Plantars. Charlie raised a hand up and conjured up a force field in front of the Plantars which the flail hit and fell to the floor. It than turned its attention to the human teenagers as it kept firing lasers out of its eyes to try and shoot at them but Charlie scooped up Anne and carried her over his back, running and dodging the lasers perfectly. The lasers would hit the glass casings and missed the targets it was aiming for.
"Got any ideas!" said Anne.
Charlie stopped at a guillotine and looked up at it. It wasn't used yet and he looked at the Cloak-Bot with a smug grin.
"Hey terminator reject! Arnold called. He said the factory had a recall on your brain. It's defective, motherfucker!" taunted Charlie.
The Cloak-Bot appeared to understand the insult as its left hand turned into a sharp drill, spinning and launched it towards Anne and Charlie but they dodged it as the drill crashed through a wall passed the guillotine. it tried to pull its hand from the wall but was stuck.
"Hey robot!" called Hop Pop as the Cloak-Bot looked up and saw Hop Pop had the rope that would make the guillotine drop down. "Someone wants your hand in marriage."
Hop Pop dropped the rope and the blade fell and chopped the Cloak-Bot's left arm off as it screamed in pain when they didn't know it could feel physical pain at all. Charlie placed Anne down on her feet as she carried Sprig while Charlie carried Hop Pop and Polly. They ran right out the room.
"Oh wait. I'm already engaged!" joked Hop Pop.
"Look on the bright side. The hunk of junk is now Captain Hook." joked Charlie.
"How're we gonna stop this thing?" said Hop Pop.
As they were on the second floor. They stopped by the Pterodactyl skeleton that was dangling from the ceiling. The only person who had an idea now was Anne as she had a grin forming on her face.
"I think I just got an idea." said Anne.
"As long as it involves whooping that glorified toaster ovens ass. I'm all for it." said Charlie.
The Cloak-Bot was gaining as it came from the room it was in. It looked at its left hand which had static discharge emitting from it.
"Hey, can opener, wanna fight? We're all yours!" called Anne.
The Cloak-Bot jumped down from the second floor to the first floor, now it stood in front of Anne and Charlie which Anne had a sword with her while Charlie had a samurai sword on him.
"Let's rumble, robot!" Anne dared.
"When we're done with you. You're scrap metal for the junk heap, asshole." Charlie challenged.
That robot raised its right hand up and its right hand formed into an ax swung its ax at them but both of them deflected its attacks with their swords.
"This thing has an ax to grind." said Charlie.
"Wonder where he gets it from?" said Anne.
The two human teenagers fought against the Cloak-Bot but it fought back as well. But it swung its ax at them, knocking both of them to the floor as the force of its ax hit their swords but knocked them down to the floor, making their weapons slide across the other side of the floor, far from their reach. Charlie could've teleported to get their weapons but he had no time. It raised its ax hand up and gave them a smug expression.
"Any last words?" asked the Cloak-Bot.
"Just like every infamous serial killer." said Charlie.
"Your history." said Anne and Charlie in unison.
Anne called out to the Plantars with a bird like signal. Three sounds of rope snapping was heard and the deadly robot looked up to see the dinosaur skeleton from above fell down towards it. Charlie grabbed onto Anne and teleported both of them away from the spot the Cloak-Bot was and when they reappeared, they were a safe enough distance away as the Pterodactyl skeleton came crashing on top of it. The Plantars saw that it fell on the robot but came running over to Anne and Charlie's side.
"Kids!" cried Hop Pop.
"Don't worry, guys. We got him." said Anne.
"And they said history was dead." said Charlie.
They turned and saw that the danger wasn't over as the Cloak-Bot emerged from the pile of bones. Firing its right arm to grab Anne but Charlie pushed her out of the way and he caught the robot's arm. The smug look on the robot's face turned to surprise.
"Look with your eyes and keep your hands to yourself." cried Charlie.
Before Charlie could attack the Cloak-Bot. The doors to the front entrance burst open and both Dr. Jan and the guards burst through. Both the guards were armed with their billy clubs.
"Freeze! Put your hand in the... air?" said a shocked Rodney.
Dr. Jan, Rodney and Mitchell saw Anne, Charlie, the Plantars and the Cloak-Bot. They saw Charlie was still powered up as his hair and eyes were still gold. They were all shocked by the sight of what they saw. Charlie had an idea to stop this quickly and he faced the Cloak-Bot.
"You are terminated!" cried Charlie.
Charlie sucked in a big amount of air and roared like a lion but fired out actual fire from his mouth, pushing the robot up and straight through the glass of the skylight. After Charlie stopped breathing fire. He powered down as his hair and eyes turned back to their original color, his muscles returning to their original size and the gold energy wave around him disappeared.
"No way. A robot? And a boy with powers?" said a shocked Dr. Jan.
Charlie took off his sunglasses as both Anne, Charlie and the Plantars made sure they were alright.
"I'm fine, HP." reassured Anne.
"Same here, Otōsan." reassured Charlie.
"Thank frog no one got hurt." said Hop Pop relieved.
"Guys, we have company." said Charlie pointing the three adults out.
They looked towards the three adults and Anne tried to cover up the Plantars because their disguises were off and their faces were seen by Dr. Jan and the two guards. Dr. Jan gasped with wide, twinkling eyes.
"Frog aliens? And an alien boy?" said an intrigued Dr. Jan.
They knew the jig was up and Charlie decided to place his faith and trust into Dr. Jan as he shown a stoic face and compassionate eyes towards her.
"Dr. Jan, don't tell them about us. I'll explain everything to you and tell you anything you want to know. Tell Rodney and Mitchell we're performers who are rehearsing a historical reenactment of some sort and that my powers are just special effects, they're not real. Tell them that and I'll you everything you want to know." Charlie told Dr. Jan telepathically.
Dr. Jan could see that Charlie was desperate for their covers to not be blown and she knew they were good people. She smiled and gave Charlie a wink and nod. She turned to the two guards and began to explain what just happened.
"I- I can't believe I forgot! Mitchell, Rodney, this has been a terrible misunderstanding. These are... performers rehearsing an exciting historical reenactment of some kind while the boy's powers are just special effects like them Hollywood superhero films. We'll clean this mess up tomorrow. You two can go home. I'll take it from here." lied Dr. Jan.
The two guards let out a sigh of relief and they believed her lie that Charlie told her to tell them. They both left the museum while saying good night to Dr. Jan. The lady was excited to know everything since Charlie telepathically told her that he'll tell her anything she wants to know.
"Oh, heeey, Dr. Jan. Sooo, there's a perfectly reasonable explanation for all of this." said Anne nervously.
"Anne, watashi ni hikitsuga sete kudasai." Charlie told them. "Dr. Jan, front and center."
Dr. Jan eagerly came over to Charlie and pulled him in for a hug. She gave him a bear hug which Charlie's strong, muscular body was able to handle it. Then the adult woman faced him face to face.
"And I can't wait to hear it. Frog aliens? Robots? Spill it, kid! This is a dream come true!" said Dr. Jan excitedly.
"Dr. Jan Florence Paula. I want you to calm down right now. Ochitsuku!" Charlie spoke in a calm tone.
Anne and Charlie were worried about the Plantars being found out as well as Charlie's powers and their origins being found out but Charlie was placing his faith and trust into Dr. Jan right now as he was taking a leap of faith.
"We can't do this on our own, Anne. Maybe it's time we try trusting someone." reassured Hop Pop.
Anne knew there was no hiding it and she looked at Charlie who looked at her back, he nodded to her for Anne to take a leap of faith. So Anne decided to take this leap of faith like Charlie was doing.
"Dr. Jan, it's a long story." said Anne.
"Anne, watashi ni kite." Charlie called.
Charlie held out one hand for Anne to take as she came over and took Charlie's left hand. Then he held out his right hand for Dr. Jan to take.
"It may be a long story doctor but I have a faster way to explain things." said Charlie still holding out his free hand for the curator to take.
"How are you going to do that?" asked Dr. Jan curiously.
"Take my hand. I can show you." instructed Charlie.
Dr. Jan felt slightly nervous but excited at the same time. So she took hold of Charlie's free hand and Charlie closed his eyes for a moment and when he opened them, his eyes were glowing pure gold while Anne and Dr. Jan's eyes glowed the same color. Many images from Anne and Charlie's minds and memories began to rapidly flash through Dr. Jan mind as she saw all the memories in their heads flashing into her head from how both Anne and Charlie first came to Amphibia, their journey together with the Plantars from the day Anne first met them from when Charlie first met them, all the way through from there to every memory of their journey from when they first came to Amphibia all the way through to when they came back to Earth and everything from when they returned to Earth all the way to now as well as how Charlie got his gold powers and the origins of them. It took a minute or two for all of this to be shown to Dr. Jan and once Anne, Charlie and Dr. Jan's eyes stopped glowing and returned to their normal colors, they let go of Charlie's hands and Dr. Jan was wide eyed at everything she was shown.
"That was far out." said Anne.
They looked at Dr. Jan who was surprised at everything she was shown. She looked at Charlie, Anne, the Plantars, then back at Charlie again.
"You mean they're, and your powers, her powers, the journey you went on, everything you've been through, you two are, and they're your, he was, she was, all of you are?" Dr. Jan babbled.

"Oh, I get it." said Polly.
"I get it. So what you're saying is if I keep this up I may do more harm than good?" said Anne realizing the truth and that Charlie was right. "I really should've taken a couple of days to rest."
"Could've been worse. You could've ended up like that bucket of bolts we battled against. That thing lost a hand and might as well call itself Captain Hook 2.0 and I think it also took... MY HAND!" cried Charlie.

"Oh you little joker." chuckled Dr. Jan. "Here. I'll make you a deal. I'll keep your secrets and help you research this artifact if you go home and get some sleep. Regardless of what goes on. I'll keep my lips sealed tighter than the doors to Fort Benning."
"I'm all for it." said Charlie.
"Deal. Thanks, Dr. Jan." said Anne.
"You're also going to need a black light. We suspect there could be a map or code on there that only show up when shining a black light on it." Charlie advised.
"I'd like to see if this baby has any secret codes on it." said Anne looking at the vase with curious eyes.
"Come on, Anne. That's our cue to head home and hit the hay." Charlie advised.
"Probably a good idea. Go sleep. Take a day off. The world will still be spinning tomorrow." said Dr. Jan hugging them before they left.
"Alright than." said Anne complying.
"I think your boyfriend is related to Roku." joked Dr. Jan.
They uttered a laugh while Charlie laughed his madman like cackling laugh.
