There was numerous of them dragonfly drones flying in the air and both Anne and Charlie knew where they were from immediately.
"Whoa! Drones!" said Anne and Charlie in unison. "They must be from the robot!"
"What robot?" asked Mrs. Boonchuy and the ladies.
"Uuuuh, the robot is the name the gossip blog those girls from school run! They uh, must have sent the drones to take more photos of me and Charlie!" lied Anne.
"Mrs. Boonchuy, mom, aunt Hayami, ladies, hide, now! Don't argue with me. Just hide now." Charlie instructed.
"Just tell everyone they have to take cover! We got this!" Anne instructed.
Kikyo, Hayami, and the ladies immediately obeyed Charlie and Anne while they took Mrs. Boonchuy to a nearby door and into a room. Charlie began to telepathically communicate with everyone at the Thai Temple to warn them.
"Everyone, take cover and hide. These drones you see are dangerous. Take cover and hide somewhere inside. Don't come out till we say so"
Charlie was hoping that they listened while Anne and Charlie jumped over a walkway ledge that led to the ground from three feet down. Anne would've gone further but Charlie stopped her when one of the drones blasted a laser at one of the nearby benches. It destroyed the bench as Charlie caught Anne before she fell over as the Plantars finally arrived at their side.
"Anne! Charlie! We heard a blast and we got Charlie's message! What's going on?" asked Sprig curiously.
"Looks like the robot sent some scouts after us! We have to protect the temple of everyone in it!" said Anne looking ready to fight back.
"There's a chance I'm gonna have to power up." Charlie told them.
"We're right behind you." came Mrs. Boonchuy's voice along with the ladies.
Anne, Charlie, and the Plantars looked back and saw Mrs. Boonchuy, Kikyo, Hayami and the ladies outside while the people at the temple were all coming out and getting ready to fight back against those drones. This surprised Anne, Charlie and the Plantars.
"Mom! I told you to tell everyone to take cover!" said Anne looking annoyed.
"Ladies! This is our fight. We can handle this." said Charlie.
"Charlie, you're not the only Leotárian out there." said Kikyo with a stoic face.
"This is OUR temple and OUR community. When one of us is under a threat, we ALL are." said Mrs. Boonchuy.
"Yeah! Be gone, Saint James Middle School paparazzi!" cried Ba-Med.
As more gathered around them. Charlie was wondering how his mother, aunt and the women of the house knew about his powers and their origin but he didn't have time to talk to them about it as they all got ready to fight back.
"There's no time to worry about being exposed. Hey dragonflies!" cried Charlie.
That's when everyone saw Charlie begin to roar loudly like a realistic lion as his hair and eyes turned glowing gold, powerful gold energy waves were flashing all around him and his muscles grew bigger as a result. Everyone saw him power up and were surprised but that's when Kikyo, Hayami and the ladies let out a loud, realistic lion like roar and were at Charlie and Anne's side as they too shown their eyes and hair glowing gold, gold energy waves flashing around them and their bodies looked a bit more muscular from the looks of it. Charlie and Anne were shocked as well as the Plantars.
"Mom! You and the ladies?" said a shocked Charlie.
"Explain later. Time to make a house call for this dragonfly infestation." said Hayami popping her neck loudly.
The drones flew in different directions, each one of them fired lasers from their laser launchers. The lasers hit parts of the ground, causing damages to parts of the Sepak takraw field and Polly took hold of a nearby megaphone. She climbed up a nearby lamp post and instructed to charge at the drones. Charlie clapped his hands twice and a gold transparent force field surrounded each person.
"Laser proof force fields!" cried Charlie.
Many of the people at the temple charged at the robot dragonflies. Some of them thrown wrapped up food at them, Ba-Med cried out in a battle cry and tossed a huge deep pot at them. They hit some of them and the ones that were hit suffered enough damage to make them explode, some of them dodged their attacks and fired more lasers. The one that dodged one of them got hit by the large pot and was severely damaged to the point that it was destroyed and beyond repair.
Kikyo, Hayami and the ladies were running around as fast as Charlie, some of them kept the children safe and took them to places they could take cover and hide in, some of them attacking the dragonfly drones. Charlie found a few large knives and he tossed them at a few drones which stabbed the ones he aimed for and he got each one he tossed them at.
"Someone's got the point!" joked Charlie.
Whenever the lasers were fired at anyone. The force fields that Charlie conjured around them made the lasers instantly explode but the force fields were undamaged while the people protected by them were unharmed. They saw that Charlie's force fields worked like body armor on them.
Hop Pop ran towards a Khon dancer and he picked up the older male frog climbed up on him like before but he leaped up into the air with his powerful legs pushing him up. He took the mask off and used it to smash one of the oncoming drones, causing his hat, fake nose and glasses to fall off, his identity exposed.
Even Charlie's grandparents were powered up like him and they were smashing up drones just by punching and kicking them to pieces.
"Just like when we were young, huh?" said Yoruichi.
"Honey, youth is a state of mind. Why do you think I was so positive as we grew old?" said Yamato.
Yamato and Yoruichi gave each other a kiss to each other's lips for a moment.
"I'm with you forever." said Yamato.
"Till death do us part." said Yoruichi.
Some members of the Sepak takraw players and Sprig bounced the ball around by kicking it and when it got to Sprig. He kicked it right at one of the dragonfly robots, hitting it hard and smashing it to the ground.
"Well, at least one of us is having a ball." said Sprig.
Charlie would use his powerfully strong fists and his feet to punch and kick the drones that came at him while Anne used a metal tray to hit many of them as well. Both of them were smashing them beyond repair and destroying them.
"You having fun, soul brotha!" said Anne.
"The time of my life!" Charlie responded.
Mr. Boonchuy tossed a tray at one of the dragonfly robots but the tray literally went over it, missing the drone. It flown right at him and was about to attack. Polly instructed Sprig to kick her towards the drone as she voluntarily fell from the lamp post and Sprig jumped into the air, doing a flip and kicked Polly towards the drone. Sprig's disguise was falling off him and he too was exposed. Polly gave the drone a hard kick, her disguise pieces fall off and her true form is exposed as well.
All of the drones were destroyed as Anne, Charlie and the Plantars stood by, panting and Charlie and his family powered down as their muscles returned to their normal sizes, their eyes and hair back to their original color.
"I think we got them all." said Anne.
The force field on everyone disappeared and one more laser was fired at the ground close by at them. Charlie turned to see that there was one more left but it was larger than the rest of them. It was the size of a large watermelon.
"Target locked. Must take down unintelligent monkey life form." said the dragonfly robot.
Everyone who saw this and heard this gasped at what the robot dragonfly just called Charlie. But the young Japanese male teenager was enraged. The larger than ever drone fired a laser at Charlie but he was faster as he pulled out large knife that had a twelve inched long blade as he used the blade to deflect the laser and as it bounced off the metal blade, it hit the large sized dragonfly robot, causing it to explode into pieces.
"I'm rubber and you're glue. Whatever you say bounces off my blade and blasts you." said Charlie with a comeback.
All of the drones were destroyed and after taking a minute to catch their breath. Anne and Charlie saw that Hop Pop, Sprig and Polly's disguises were no longer on them and their identities were exposed to everyone. Everyone but Anne and Charlie's families were shocked.
"Guys, your disguises! They've fallen off!" said Anne and Charlie in panicked unison.
A lot of the people were murmuring amongst themselves, many were perplexed by their appearances and that's when Charlie had an idea to explain things to them all.
"E-Everyone, we can explain." Anne nervously called out.
"No no no no. No need to know. If they're your friends..." said Lamai.
"...Then they are our friends too." said Papu.
"No matter how ugly they are." said Ba-Med.
"Ba-Med, let's not call them that." said Charlie kindly advising her. "Let's treat them like family like we do the same with each other."
"I apologize. So this male adult frog is this Otōsan we've heard so much about?" said Ba-Med. "Sir, what you've done for Charlie has become a blessing from above."
"And I stand by my son." said Hop Pop proudly.
Charlie saw someone with a megaphone nearby and he approached the man who had it.
"I'll borrow this for a moment and bring it back." said Charlie.
Charlie came back to Anne and the Plantar's side as he spoke into the megaphone to everyone around them.
"People of the Thai Community. These three frog like people here are part of the Matsuda and Boonchuy family. This here is Hop Pop, Sprig and Polly." said Charlie pointing at each one to identify them. "Hop Pop is my Bidā, Sprig is our N̂xng chāy. Polly is our N̂xng s̄āw. Please, keep their identities a secret. No one else but you can know who they are. Me and Anne are trying to help get them home to their world. They are part of our Khrxbkhrạw, just like you. As for seeing me and my family who have displayed otherworldly powers, no one but you can know about this and it should be kept secret amongst all of you."
After Charlie handed over the megaphone to the man from before. He looked at Anne and she looked right back at him.
"We shall keep all of this our little secret." said Ba-Med. "You've just saved us all from the oncoming attack and you've done so much for us all."
Everyone nodded and said something in agreement. This provided comfort for Anne, Charlie, the Plantars and Charlie's family. Anne and Charlie were relieved.
"Wow. Thanks, you guys. I don't even know what to say except... K̄hxbkhuṇ māk khrạb." said Anne bowing to them with her hands pressed together.
"Dōmo arigatō." said Charlie as he too bowed and pressed his hands together.
"Muchas gracias." said Sonya, Selena and Elena in unison.
"Asante sana." said Imani.
The Plantars followed through as both Anne, Charlie, the Plantars, Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy, Kikyo, Hayami and the ladies of Charlie's home all bowed to them as they shown a respectful wai towards them. The Thai Community praised them all as they murmured how grateful they are.
But they all turned to see that when they weren't looking. Anne and Charlie kissed each other again which left everyone to smile, blush and giggle at the sight.
"Awww, how romantic." said the elderly Thai women.
The two teenagers pulled their lips off each other while blushing a bit as they saw they were caught kissing.
"I'll take care of the mess of these drones." said Charlie with a hiccup.
Several minutes passed and everyone was impressed by Charlie's speed as he ran around the Thai Temple and cleaned up the mess of the destroyed dragonfly robots as he was not only superhuman fast but much stronger than they remember. He managed to get every piece of the destroyed drones had been placed in the trashcans.
Everything seemed to calm itself down after Anne and Mrs. Boonchuy looked at the trashcan that had some of the destroyed dragonfly drones that Charlie placed inside.
"Man, middle school equipment is really advanced these days." said Mrs. Boonchuy taking a look at the destroyed drones with fascination. "What do you think we should do with the trash of these things?"
"Charlie suggested to torch the suckers." answered Anne.
"Speaking of Charlie. Who knew you were dating an alien whose so much like that boy from Dragon Boy Z." said Mrs. Boonchuy lightly joking.
"His powers or his origins is a bit of a long story, especially now that he comes from a family of them." said Anne.
"Well, hour's up. You're probably itching to get out of here." said Mrs. Boonchuy.
Anne knew that she originally wanted to hurry up on over to the museum but something about her feelings for that changed. She looked on at Charlie and the Plantars. The Plantars looked like they had a fun day at the Thai Temple as Sprig was bouncing around the ball with the Sepak takraw group, Polly and Hop Pop were interacting with the Thai language teacher and Charlie just got the last child reunited with the family he came to the temple with and returned to the Plantars side. Charlie and Hop Pop embraced each other. Anne looked on with a smile and a change of heart.
"I... I think I'd like to stay a bit longer." said Anne.
"I thought you had more important things to do." joked Mrs. Boonchuy.
"Mom!" chuckled Anne.
"Just kidding. Just kidding. Okay, one more right after this one. You're dating Roku." joked Mrs. Boonchuy.
"You think you're real funny, don't you?" chuckled Anne.
"Only when I can be." responded Mrs. Boonchuy. "I did see a video on someone's phone about how Charlie promoted business to our restaurant. I might not be the biggest fan of rap or hip hop but I like the way he did it. Kind of got the song stuck in my head right now."
They were interrupted by a loud car horn that was close. Anne, Charlie, the Plantars and Mrs. Boonchuy turned to see that a jungle green truck pulling up nearby. The truck had the sign of "Museum of Natural History" printed on the left and right side of the truck. They saw Dr. Jan coming out of the truck.
"Dr. Jan?" said Anne surprised.
"Sorry, guys, this couldn't wait, it's just too dang exciting." said Dr. Jan.
Anne called for Charlie and the Plantars to come over and they obeyed as Anne, Charlie and the Plantars gathered at a large nearby tree with Dr. Jan as she had brought the vase with her and a black light flashlight. She clicked the button to the black light that shown a message on the vase which the message was some ancient language that Anne and Charlie recognized but it looked like none of them could read or translate it.
"It's written in some kind of ancient language. If only we could read it." said Dr. Jan. "Can any of you translate it?"
"Marcy's notebook!" said Charlie snapping his fingers with a sudden realization. "Marcy kept information like this in her notebook during our time in Amphibia, both before and after we found her."
Anne pulled out Marcy's notebook and opened it till she got to a page that shown the same message that the vase shown.
"According to Marcy's notes, it says: "Seek the mother of olms. She will guide you to your destiny"?" said Anne translating the message.
Everyone but Charlie gasped and as a moment passed. That's when Charlie gotten an idea what some part of the message meant. He remembered when Sprig and Polly were going through the trials of Quarreler's Pass when he remembered Polly saying something about "Bloodthirsty Olms" he just now had a thought go off in his head.
"Olms!" said Charlie. "Lightbulb!"
"Does Charlie have an idea?" asked Dr. Jan.
"Quarreler's Pass! The trials that Sprig and Polly went through that I told Hop Pop I was against the idea of them going through such a situation. Polly said something about bloodthirsty olms they dealt with?" said Charlie remembering something Polly and Sprig ran by them.
Anne, Hop Pop, Sprig Polly and Dr. Jan looked at Charlie as both Anne and the Plantars were seeing that Charlie remembered something that they had forgotten about but once they remembered that Polly said something about "Bloodthirsty Olms" when they picked up Sprig and Polly after they succeeded in the trials of Quarreler's Pass. They remembered that Sprig and Polly made a mentioning and description of these olms.
