Five days passed since Anne, Charlie, the Plantars and Anne's parents fought the Cloak Bot, destroyed it and won. They felt at ease knowing the defeated one of their most dangerous of enemies. During the five days. Anne, Charlie and the Plantars informed Anne's parents on everything they didn't know that they didn't tell them.
"So King Andrias, was from a family of conquerors, used you and your friends to get these gems from the music box charged so he could try and invade earth to take over our world when you had no idea about this when he hidden this under his jolly demeanor?" said Mrs. Boonchuy making sure she understood.
"Yes." said Anne, Charlie and the Plantars in unison.
"Sasha used to be a bad person but is now good? I guess now I know why Charlie's family of women spoke so harshly about Sasha when they said Charlie and Sasha used to date and their relationship was horrible, even after she dumped him like that and hurt him." said Mr. Boonchuy seeing things clearer.
"Yes, but Sasha has turned good and seen the light. We know she's turning over a new leaf permanently." said Charlie. "But let's not speak ill of Sasha, please. Once Sasha turned good for real this time, we decided to put the past negative actions behind us that she committed. She's seen the light."
"I see." said Mr. Boonchuy understanding.
"Is Marcy, you know?" asked Mrs. Boonchuy hesitantly.
"She's alive. King Andrias may have stabbed her. But I tossed a needle at her, got her on one of her limbs. The needle had juices from the golden all healing miracle apple in the needle. Since it heals anyone or anything, illnesses or injuries, I was told that it can save someone whose an inch from death. Wally told me about it." explained Charlie.
"You two actually gave him a beat down when at full power?" said Mrs. Boonchuy with an amazed grin.
"Only in self-defense. He tossed Sprig out a window and tried to attack us all when he tried to use the music box as a weapon." explained Anne. "But Marcy and a huge bird saved Sprig. But I have no idea which one of us gave King Andrias a bigger smack down."
"Charlie Smash." said Charlie perfectly mimicking a deep, monstrous battle cry with a grin.
"Wow! Charlie really can mimic any voice or sound judging by what little we've seen him do with that." said Mrs. Boonchuy. "Is that part of being a Leotárian?"
"Nope! That was all on my own." answered Charlie in his normal voice.
"You guys battled against foes like toad soldiers that were part of an army?" asked Mr. Boonchuy.
"Yes." said Anne and Charlie in unison.
"I think Charlie gave them a bigger smack down." said Anne lightly elbowing Charlie's shoulder.
"Only when I had no other choice. But let's just say one of the toads or possibly two of them were...lusting for me." said Charlie with a shudder. "But we managed to take them down. But I don't know if the toads have changed once Andrias shown what he was planning. The only thing I knew would be a good idea to warn people was when I gave everyone a telepathic warning about Andrias, his plans and what he's doing and told everyone to run and go into hiding."
"Sounds like a good idea." said Mrs. Boonchuy. "And Charlie used these golden apples to give to others in other living areas of Amphibia that you've traveled around to so they can use the seeds to plant and grow more of them since they're so rare all while the growth rate of the trees from those seeds grow faster than any tree from our world could grow?"
"They'd be fully grown in a matter of months, more or less." said Hop Pop as Charlie took hold of his hand.
Anne's parents looked at Charlie who blushed for a moment.
"I figured it would be a good idea. Why use something that you rarely see till there's nothing left and only see them in another lifetime when you can use what you've got from them by using the seeds to plant and grow them in as many living areas, towns, cities and villages as possible so people can put them to good future use. When we were journeying to Newtopia, I figured if we come across any town, village or city, give some to the locals there so they can plant and grow them for future use. Everyone could use a healing miracle when they need it most." explained Charlie. "My grandparents are farmers and I learned a thing or two about farming from them. My grandpa shown me a tree he planted and grown himself a while back."
"Charlie was quite helpful around the farm." said a proud Hop Pop.
Both Charlie and Hop Pop grasped their hands together as they both knew that they were close and knew they had another thing in common.
"Oh, you plant your seeds down in the dirt. You bury 'em deep so they don't get hurt. You wait a few months, they turn into plants, and that's when you do the little plants dance! Ha!" said Charlie and Hop Pop in a sing song voice in unison.
"Sounds like Charlie and Hop Pop really bonded as father and son when Dante's a complete deadbeat." said Mrs. Boonchuy with a grin.
"I was there for him like a daddy should." said Hop Pop with a proud grin.
"He's my Otōsan." said Charlie proudly.
"And he's my Musuko." said Hop Pop proudly.
Charlie and Hop Pop wrapped their arms around each other and hugged each other. It was a heartwarming sight.
"Just want to know. When Anne and Charlie were living with the three of you. The whole time in Amphibia. The two didn't, you know?" asked Mr. Boonchuy with a raised eyebrow.
Anne and Charlie looked at him and were blushing as their eyes were sightly widened.
"No! We didn't do what you think!" said Anne and Charlie in unison.
"We only kissed each other a few times." said Anne being honest.
"You two know that if me and Anne were to, you know, we'd wait till we're eighteen or in college at least. You two raised Anne to know better than that and my family raised me better than that too." Charlie reassured.
"Well, they did tell us the truth before and now that they told us what they didn't tell us that happened in this other world and they only lied to protect us and that both Anne and Charlie were trying to recover from any traumas. Then I believe them, more so than I ever have now." said Mrs. Boonchuy calmly.
Mr. Boonchuy let out a sigh of relief now that he knew that Anne and Charlie didn't make love while they were in Amphibia.
"I was worried about that. I'm glad you two told me this." said Mr. Boonchuy. "But everything you all told us, both what you told us when you came back on the first day and now what you left out that you told us now. Charlie, you really blurted out everything to your family from what you and Anne left out to tell us. You really blurted it out everything else?"
"I couldn't stand lying to them. Much less keeping secrets from them. Even if bad people have lied to me, used me, or kept secrets from me. I know that if I keep secrets from those I love as well as lie to them, then I'd be just like those bad people who do that on a daily basis for evil purposes." Charlie admitted. "So you could say I'm living and leading by example. Even when I said that there was a couple of times when we encountered monsters and how I... terminated them."
"How did you terminate those monsters?" asked a nervous Mrs. Boonchuy.
Charlie had a stoic expression on his face as Anne and the Plantars looked at Charlie with reassurance while they looked at Anne's parents with a tense expression.
"Let's just say after I slain such monsters. They fell to pieces." said Charlie not showing any emotion as he subtly admitted how he killed some monsters. "It was out of self-defense and even if I had to do it. They're my sin to bear."
Anne's parents quickly caught onto what Charlie meant and knew that he used a sword to slice and dice them or to just killed the monsters with a sword which they figured it was best not to pry for more graphic details.
"Understood." said Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy in unison.
"Anne, I'm sorry for blowing up on you when I had no idea what you went through judging by what you and Charlie left out from telling us. I should've listened my husband and kept a level head as well as listen to Charlie." said Mrs. Boonchuy apologetically.
"It's alright mom." said Anne forgiving her.
"I'd like to apologize again for blowing up on both of you. When parents develop the mama and papa bear instincts for their children. Well, in my case, I developed a similar instinct towards my girlfriend just as much as she's developed the same instinct towards me. Which I can somewhat understand that feeling that parents have when it's that same instinct towards their children." said Charlie.
"Even though you never meant to yell and go off on us like that. You had a right to be irate in order to get me to listen." said Mrs. Boonchuy showing she understood. "But seeing you and Anne at full power like that. It's like that alien race from Dragon Boy Z when they go full power. Is it really as cool as it looks?"
"In my case, it may look cool but I haven't learned to control it completely yet but I'm able to put it to good use. But I'm totally drained afterwards." Anne admitted.
"Back in Amphibia, when I first started to use my gold powers. We had no idea how I got it or what caused it. I assumed it was puberty or something. I kept showing signs of it developing till we met someone who had somewhat a little bit of information on my power's origins. The day we fought Andrias when we found out what he was really planning was the day my gold powers fully developed and I was able to go full power. I might be able to have full control over it but finding out I'm not the last Leotárian and I come from a family of them and there's more of us living amongst the public in secret. That explained a lot." Charlie explained while he admitted what his gold powers were like. "But as someone once said. With great power. Comes great responsibility."
"I surprisingly understand that." said Mrs. Boonchuy. "It was good that you used more of that gold juices from the golden apples to repair the damages to our house and the property. That saved us a bunch."
"You're family to the Matsuda's. Consider it doing for family." said Charlie.
Anne, Charlie, the Plantars and Anne's parents all gathered around for a group hug while they had a sweet family moment. That's when they heard a very loud fart that left them all wide eyed.
"Hop Pop!" said Anne and her parents in unison with a chuckle.
"That wasn't Hop Pop." chuckled Polly. "Ha! I just cut one."
The Fifth Day
Somewhere in an unidentified area was a big truck that looked like an ice cream truck parked on the side of the road. But it wasn't an ice cream truck. Inside, there were two people in uniform inside it that were typing away at a computer, looking at pictures that people from the FBI had shown them.
One of them was a tall bald man with black spy glasses and purple lipstick. He wore a purple suit with a yellow Boutonnière, white pants with a brown belt, a black ear device, a gold smartwatch and wedding ring, and tan roller shoes. He appeared to be African American and a flamboyant one at that.
The other whose gender wasn't identified had short, messy blond hair and tan skin. This person wore a white shirt with rolled-up sleeves held with buttons, a pocket containing a black pen and a red pen, and a brown and tan striped tie. This person also wore a pair of dark pants held up by a black belt with a silver buckle, a pair of brown boots and round glasses plus a silver wristwatch for accessories.
The bald man was holding a popsicle in his right hand and had a smile on his face.
"Do you know why they call me Mr. X, Jenny?" said Mr. X rhetorically.
Jenny typed away and didn't respond nor did Jenny show any emotion. Jenny apparently was stoic like how Charlie would be stoic at times but Jenny was nothing but stoic. Mr. X reached out to adjust his coffee cup that had a green alien's face printed on it and grabbed a folder that read "Classified" on the front.
"Right you are, Jenny. Because I deal specifically with extraterrestrials." said Mr. X as if Jenny's silence spoke to him. "Those pictures we looked at that our boys shown us both. I have to admit though. That boy with the gold hair and eyes reminds me of that same boy our department encountered briefly over forty-two years ago. There's no way that this boy today is the same boy from all them decades ago. The man from decades ago was clearly in his late teens. This boy today is probably thirteen or fourteen, possibly the grandson of the man from forty-two years ago. And rumor has it that there are a few in the area. Hit it, Jenners."
Jenny typed at the computer and it shown the picture of Anne and the Plantars, appearing to be panicked, a second picture that shown Charlie in his gold form, but a third picture shown Charlie's grandpa from forty-two years ago which his Grandpa Yamato in the picture was appearing to be running but it didn't show from who or what, possibly from an FBI agent.
Jenny was running an analysis of the three pictures and the results came up with a green box that popped up and read "Definitely, Possibly Aliens" on both screens. Mr. X gave a brief clapping with a grin.
"Very good, Jenny. Very nice. This is why you're the best. Oh, Jenny, honey, are you blushing?" said Mr. X as he noticed Jenny blushed from the praise. Mr. X looked at the pictures that shown Charlie, his grandpa and the picture that shown Anne but it was only showing part of her arm. "But who is this I wonder? Little Miss String Bean. I wonder who that young tall drink of water is from forty-two years ago as well as that muscular beefcake that we saw days ago. If the one from five days ago was my age and my hubby, yo, ho, ho, and a bottle of yum."
Jenny continued typing and the analysis came up with the results of Anne read "No positive ID; likely a human companion" in red lettering while the results on Charlie read "No positive ID; likely a human companion, possibly the girl's boyfriend/alien human hybrid" in red lettering while the results on Grandpa Yamato read in red lettering "No positive ID; possible grandpa to boy"
"Uh-huh. Sounds like some real '80s movie junk, but one thing's for sure, these aliens are being sheltered, and two of them are in hiding, one of them is probably an old man by now and the young man from days ago is probably his grandson and possibly dating that girl and whoever is harboring these little monsters will be in big trouble." said Mr. X with a smug grin.
Their moment of realization was interrupted by a knock at the truck. Mr. X opened the shutters to the window and he looked out to see a young ten-year-old boy wearing a green baseball cap. The boy had money on him to purchase some ice cream.
"One Popsicle, please." said the boy.
That's when an unknown male adult came over towards the boy and he appeared to be over six feet tall, in his thirties, muscular and he appeared to be tough, strong yet intimidating while Mr. X looked at the boy with stoic annoyance but when Mr. X looked at the huge male adult before him. He was slightly wide eyed from the size of him.
"Sorry, little man. This was the last one." said Mr. X trying to appear unintimidated.
"Then you'll give it to him and take the money." said the tall, muscular, tough looking male adult.
Mr. X immediately handed the boy the popsicle and immediately tried to close the window but the door to it wasn't closing as if it was rusted shut.
"It's on the house sir. Uh... give me a sec." said Mr. X struggling to close the window door.
"I'll give you a hand." said the muscular man.
The tall and muscular adult male reached out and grabbed the door to the window with hand and in a firm pull, the door to the window pulled out from the side and was showing to be easily sliding and gliding back and forth.
"Try oiling up the door and the hinges as well as the cogs." the tough looking adult male suggested.
"Thanks sir, will do." Mr. X said quickly as he shut the window door while letting out a sigh of relief. "That stays between us. Now we've got to get these aliens before someone gets abducted or worse."
That's when Mr. X's stomach was growling and that meant one thing on both his mind and on Jenny's mind.
"OK, we need some real food." said Mr. X.
Jenny used the Doogle search engine and typed in "best local restaurants" which after it came up with a few results. There was a picture of the Boonchuy's restaurant "Thai Go" as Mr. X looked at the picture and smiled with amazement as he began to shake Jenny's seat in excitement.
"Jenny, Jenny. You've done it again." said an eager Mr. X. "Okay, I'll stop shaking the seat."
Thai Go
Anne, the Plantars, Anne's parents and Charlie were at Thai Go. Sprig was stirring up some ingredients in a bowl, Polly was filling up the small plastic cups with hot sauce, Charlie got through with cleaning up a few messes and took the garbage out and came back inside. Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy felt like they were pumped from the battle against the Cloak Bot.
"Is it just me or is anyone feeling amped up since we fought the robot?" said Mrs. Boonchuy with a thrilled grin. "And the way Charlie went Terminator on that robot was so cool."
"Kick that robot's butt, you mean. Remember I was all "Whapow!" And you were like..." Mr. Boonchuy began as he was mimicking some karate moves and some karate sounds.
"Now you know how I felt when Anne, Hop Pop, Sprig, Polly and others helped me stand up for myself for the first time. The Rock has nothing on me." said Charlie passing through the kitchen and into the restaurant.
"Sounds like you got a case of post-battle euphoria." said Hop Pop with a grin.
"Nothing like a brush with death to make you feel alive." said Sprig his eyes widened with a twinkle.
"So what's next? I'm ready to fight!" said Mrs. Boonchuy looking pumped up.
Anne and Charlie came into the kitchen and heard the conversation they were having.
"Hopefully, nothing. Unless Andrias sends another robot. We're safe for now." reassured Anne.
"Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy, just as I learned from my uncle in martial arts. Battling against the enemy is not just about fighting and breaking wood, as one so quaintly puts it. It's about self-discipline, moral and intellectual development, physical fitness, and most of all. Courtesy and respect for others." said Charlie expressing what he was taught. "That, and when opponent is the one firing the first shot against you or someone in need, you step in and kick it to the enemy."
"Five years of martial arts from your uncle must be paying off." said Mr. Boonchuy taking notice. "Who is your uncle?"
"Benjiro, everyone calls him Ben." answered Charlie.
"Definitely paying off. So I'm taking the Plantars to their first movie." said Anne hugging the Plantars as Charlie hugged them as well. "Charlie's going with us. He's doing the same thing I'm doing."
"Think of it like showing the Plantars how the real movie going experience is like up close and personal instead of it being on our phone." said Charlie with a grin.
"And it'll be like our first date." said Anne and Charlie in unison as they gave each other a fist bump.
"Well, if anything comes up, we're ready. I even broke out and old pull-up bar. Look." said Mr. Boonchuy as the pull up bar was shown above one of the doors and he grabs onto the bars to try and do a pull up but he struggled with it.
"Mr. Boonchuy, I wouldn't push yourself like that." Charlie advised.
That's when the pull up bar suddenly broke in two while Charlie ran towards him and caught him before he could hit the floor. Charlie helped him up onto his feet.
"You alright, Mr. B?" asked Charlie.
"Still in one piece and at least my back isn't broken." said Mr. Boonchuy relieved.
"You should probably stick to walking, that'll be a better idea for a start in getting in shape in terms of physical activity." Charlie advised kindly.
Hop Pop, Sprig and Polly put on their human disguises while this was going on.
"Guys, please, leave the danger to us, OK? Now, movie time." said Anne striking a pose while the Plantars did the same and uttered a thrilled "Woooo!"
At The Movie Theater
Anne, Charlie and the Plantars arrived at the movie theater as it was a large building. They got there on bikes while Anne ridden her bike with the Plantars riding in the basket in front of it while Charlie ridden on his bike near them. The building was having a sign that read "Super Cinema 40" above the entrance, with a glass center section, accompanied by two red sections on either side. Each section has a decal, resembling film reels on it, and the center section has the "Super Cinemas 40" logo on it.
Anne and Charlie parked their bikes in the bike parking lot after they used a chain lock to prevent anyone from stealing them. They made their way to the front doors which they opened up automatically. The inside of the theater looked like they had promotional posters of films that are now out or coming soon, some of them were cardboard standees, the walls near the ceiling area had looked like they were of famous film pictures that made it look like a cinematic version of the Sistine Chapel. The Plantars gasped as they looked on at the place with wide eyed amazement.
There were people there who ether was hanging out in some spots talking, some kids with their families who were there to see a film with their families. Charlie saw three children nearby, a red-haired girl with her ponytail braided hugging a standee cardboard cutout of a now available film "Fumigator 5" while two other children, one a boy and the other a girl, both ran off screaming as if they saw a scary film.
"If you'll excuse me for a moment guys." Charlie said. "You three, where are your parents?!"
Charlie walked over to the three children nearby as he gotten the attention of these three children, these three children had to have been between six to nine years old.
"Do you kids know where your parents are?" said Charlie showing them a calm, compassionate face.
"They're over there, sir." said the red-haired girl pointing to where her parents were nearby.
"Rachel, stick with your parents at all times when you're out in public with them. Never go anywhere alone. Safety in numbers is a big thing and nothing freaks out parents more than a lost child situation." Charlie informed kindly. "Also, don't go climbing on something or you'll get hurt. Just like how we're told to wear a helmet when skating or riding a bike. It's for our safety and our heads will thank us for it. Stick with your parents."
"Yes sir." said Rachel running towards her parents.
"Ronald, Chelsea. Did you two go to see a scary movie?" asked Charlie showing compassion.
The two children were surprised that Charlie knew their names when they didn't tell him their names. They immediately nodded and confessed.
"A word of advice. Don't watch a horror film when you think you can handle it. Trust me, I made the same mistake at your age and I had nightmares for days. Don't make the same mistake I did. Also, if the film gets too scary, then just don't watch it till you're older and if the memory is still scaring you, think of something that makes you laugh like that movie where the kid is home alone during the Christmas holidays and he's fending off two goofy burglars or talk to your parents about it. Parents always know how to cheer you up when you're sad or terrified. You'll feel so much better once you talk to them about it so they can help you." Charlie kindly advised.
The two children, who were ether of Dominican American or Thai descent looked at each other and nodded as they knew Charlie was right. Charlie saw the two kid's parents that were nearby as they appeared to be looking for both Ronald and Chelsea.
"Those you're folks?" Charlie pointed out.
"Yes." the two kids answered in unison.
Charlie whistled loudly to get their parents attention which worked as Ronald and Chelsea's parents turned to see them and approached them.
"Ronald, Chelsea. Please don't run off next time when we're here." advised the father.
"Not to worry sir. I found them over here and we were looking for both of you. I was taught to by my folks to make sure any unaccompanied minors find their parents when they're alone anywhere in public. They appeared to be a little afraid of whatever scary movie they saw." reassured Charlie. "Ronald, Chelsea, stick with your parents at all times when in public anywhere. Sir, ma'am, your children could use some consolation from whatever scary scenes they saw from whichever film they saw."
"He's telling the truth, daddy." confirmed Chelsea.
The children's parents looked at Charlie as if he was a police officer who was reuniting children with their parents. They let out a sigh of relief as Ronald and Chelsea hugged their parents which they hugged them back. The parents looked at Charlie with relief.
"Thanks for finding our children." said the mother.
"Itsu demo." Charlie said.
Charlie telepathically told both the children and the parents something they can do as an alternative for fun there while they appeared to agree as the four walked off and Charlie walked back towards Anne and the Plantars.
"Still looking out for unattended children to help them out." said Anne with a proud smile.
"Always and forever." said Charlie with a proud grin.
"Hello sensory overload!" said Polly her eyes widening with a sparkle.
"Whoa! What is this, a church?" said a wide eyed and amazed Hop Pop.
"Yeah, pretty much. At least the inside looks like." said Anne.
"The artwork on the wall is like a cinematic history inspired by the Sistine Chapel." said Charlie with a chuckle.
Both Anne and Charlie let out a sigh while they appeared to be worrying about something. Sprig was the first to take notice.
"What's the matter?" asked Sprig.
"Just thinking about my folks. I don't like the idea of putting those two in harm's way. I know we took that robot together but they're still just parents, you know? They shop for groceries and coach Little League T-Ball." said Anne showing worry.
"I don't like the idea of putting the ladies of the house in harm's way ether. Now that they know what we didn't tell them when I blurted out the entire thing to them. They were still worried and consoling me. But also, now that I know that my family are butt kicking Leotárians and I'm a hybrid of one. Still, I don't like putting them in harm's way ether. Even if we're proving to be a powerful people from out of this world." Charlie said as he admitted his worry as well.
"Well, luckily today is a stress-free day with no danger or conflict." said Hop Pop with a word of comfort. "The worst that could happen right now is one of us goes coo coo from the sugar buzz."
"Keep me away from the candy." said Charlie with blushing cheeks.
Back at Thai Go
Everything at Thai Go was doing swell but that's when the front door opened and Mr. X walked in. Mrs. Boonchuy came into the room while Kikyo and Kagura were with Mrs. Boonchuy, they were dropping something off but the three adult women looked towards Mr. X as both Kikyo and Kagura delved into Mr. X's mind and they immediately knew what he was up to as he used the wheels from his roller shoes to approach the three young adult women.
"Hello. Welcome to Thai Go." greeted Mrs. Boonchuy.
"Oum, this man is up to no good. We can read his mind, he's an FBI agent. Anything he asks about Anne, Charlie, the Plantars or our Leotárian origins. Don't tell him a thing." Kikyo told Mrs. Boonchuy telepathically.
Mr. X spoke to Mrs. Boonchuy in Thai as a way to greet her while also greeting Kikyo and Kagura in Japanese. Mrs. Boonchuy spoke to him in Thai as if to compliment his knowledge of their native language.
"I was stationed in Phuket for a bit. I learned Thai and Japanese there." said Mr. X.
"State your name, sir." said Kikyo appearing stoic.
"Toni Xavier." lied Mr. X. "We'll take one Pad see ew. And while we're at it, have you seen and odd creatures and this male teenager with the gold eyes and hair walking around? Probably disguised as... humans?"
Mr. X shown Mrs. Boonchuy, Kikyo and Kagura the two pictures where one shown a picture of Charlie in his gold form, the other showing a picture of the Plantars while it partially shown Anne in there with them. Mrs. Boonchuy shown a nervous expression while sweating a bit as the three women were aware that Mr. X was up to no good just as Kikyo and Kagura have told Mrs. Boonchuy telepathically.
"Mrs. Boonchuy, let us handle this." Kagura advised Mrs. Boonchuy telepathically.
"We've never seen them before. But hope you don't mind, whose asking?" said Kikyo with a stoic face.
Mr. X pulled out his ID from a pocket inside his suit and once he opened it up to them. It shown his ID that he is with the FBI. This made them feel tense as Kikyo and Kagura were doing their best to remain stoic and calm while Mrs. Boonchuy was fighting not to panic.
"Oh, just your friendly neighborhood federal government." answered Mr. X.
"Yes. Very nice. Hooray government!" said Mrs. Boonchuy holding herself together and she called for her husband in Thai.
Mr. Boonchuy walked out from the kitchen and into the front room of the restaurant. He had a bag that had the food.
"Jeez, where's the fire? Hmm?" said Mr. Boonchuy as they all looked at the front door as it was opened again.
They all looked to see it was Jenny who held a laptop that was making a distorted alarm sound which on the screen it read "String Bean and Gold Child Sighted" one the screen with a map on there and it triangulated a red dot that located both Anne, Charlie and the Plantars. Then it shown a video of Anne, Charlie and the Plantars looking like they were riding on bikes and the words "Possible Match!" was showing. Mr. X placed the money on the desk and grabbed the bag of food, looking excited.
"Gotta go! Is your stun gun charged, Jenny? Tell me it's charged?" said Mr. X as he pulled out an electric stun gun as he ran out of the restaurant with Jenny with a grin.
"If that bitch touches our baby boy!" threatened Kikyo.
"Save some ass kicking for us if he touches our daughter and the Plantars. We have to go now. I'll explain on the way." said Mrs. Boonchuy dragging her husband out.
Kikyo, Kagura, Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy were rushing to the car and drove off with Mr. Boonchuy at the wheel. Mrs. Boonchuy was calling Anne on her cell phone while Kikyo and Kagura were telepathically warning Charlie about what was coming so he could inform Anne and the Plantars.
Back at Super Cinema 40 in one of the booths
Anne's phone began to buzz as it was on vibrate. The caller ID was reading "Mom Calling" but Anne ignored it. Anne, Charlie and the Plantars were sitting in some good seats in the booth while Anne was drinking on her soda while Anne would take hold of Charlie's hand which both of them smiled as they grasped each other's hand. The trailer to a film ended and the screen turned black as a male announcer's voice was reading out the words on the screen.
"And now... for what you've all been waiting for... Another trailer!"
They saw what looked like a trailer starting that shown a cheerleader actually cheerleading with her teammates as the title of the film read "Cheerleader Musical 7" on the screen.
"Twenty minutes of trailers? And you people call yourself civilized." said Hop Pop almost annoyed.
"The trailers are for letting people know what to see next when they come out in theaters if they were to come back and see them. But I will admit, twenty minutes of trailers can get annoying." Charlie told Hop Pop telepathically. "Also, if we have to tell each other anything. Let's keep it down to a whisper."
Another trailer shown that was of a volcano erupting and a T-rex roaring as this Sprig was shaking from fear and sat back in his seat a little further.
"Anyone else feel like this audio-video experience is a little overwhelming?" said Sprig a little afraid.
Polly popped out of the bucket of popcorn with a grin.
"Entertainment that makes your ears bleed. I'm here for it, baby!" said Polly thrilled.
"Oh Polly. You little rascal." chuckled Charlie.
"You know it." said Polly her eyebrows lifting up and down with a sly grin.
"I have to admit, it is pretty difficult to hear anything." said Anne in agreement.
"Makes me wonder if we can hear ourselves think." said Charlie telling them with his mind.
Anne's phone kept ringing as she sipped on her soda while Charlie was sipping on his own soda. His hand grasping Anne's hand while she grasped his hand. Both of them smiling.
Meanwhile, on the road
Anne's parents and Kikyo and Kagura were following Mr. X's truck as they knew that they were heading for where Anne, Charlie and the Plantars were at. They were about to lose Mr. X in the traffic but Mrs. Boonchuy took the wheel and they made a hard right turn, scratching against the wall till they made it in front of Mr. X.
"Oum, you drive just like us." said Kagura with a surprised face.
"You too huh?" Mrs. Boonchuy took notice.
"How do you think we get anywhere on time when we run late. We hardly have to do that." said Kikyo.
"I'd rather take my motorcycle but only two people can fit on there." Kagura pointed out.
Mr. X pushed a button in the truck and that's when the truck is pulled upwards by cables attached to the wheels, driving past them and thus sped past them which made them panic a bit more.
"Damn it!" said Kikyo and Kagura sharply.
"I know another way to get there faster without getting stopped." said Mrs. Boonchuy.
Back in the theater booth
Anne, Charlie and the Plantars walked out of the booth as both Anne and Charlie held each other's hands with blushing grins.
"Well, it was no Suspicion Island." said Hop Pop at first.
"What did you say?!" said Sprig loudly as if temporarily deaf.
Charlie telepathically told Sprig something and once Sprig heard that. Sprig put his fingers in his ears and held his breath and blew air while his mouth was closed and when he did so, his ears popped and his hearing was finally cleared up.
"That'll work." said Sprig relieved.
"I thought the protagonist was pretty fun. I liked that she was very flawed and had room to grow." said Anne happily. "And I can't believe me and Char Char got to sneak a few kissies."
"Guilty as charged, soul sista." chuckled Charlie.
"Charlie! You, Anne and the Plantars got to get out of the theater and come home. Government agents are coming for you, Anne and the Plantars. They know about the Plantar's existence and think they're aliens. They suspect you of your alien origins. Get out of there now!"
Charlie took hold of Anne's hand and stopped the Plantars from moving forwards. Charlie even sensed the brainwaves of the two people as they all saw that Mr. X was coming out of an ice cream truck and he entered the theater on his roller shoes and did a dance briefly.
"Guys, government agent at twelve o'clock, he's after us all." said Charlie pointing out Mr. X to them telepathically.
"Back inside, gang. Get inside." said Anne apparently aware of the situation from the text messages her mother sent her.
"No. Not another one!" said Sprig panicking.
As the five of them were rushing themselves inside the booth. Mr. X saw them rushing their way inside into the booth that was for the fifth Fumigator film.
"Guys, we have a secret after us all. I got informed by my folks. We have to get out of her with him finding us." Charlie telepathically told them as he given them all sunglasses to put on to try and keep them unrecognizable.
"Charlie, don't use your powers or we'll be exposed or the secret agent will know you're a Leotárian." Anne warned Charlie.
"He's inside." Charlie said out loud in a deep and low voice.
They looked towards where Mr. X was and they had their sunglasses on while Mr. X was sitting near them in the row behind them.
"Tell me, are you folks from the area or just visiting?" Mr. X said with a grin.
"Hashiru!" said Charlie sharply.
Anne, Charlie and the Plantars ran out of the booth while Mr. X was looking like this didn't phase him.
"Oh, how I love a good chase." said Mr. X looking thrilled.
Mr. X followed them but he didn't see them as he rolled off on his roller shoes. That's when Anne, Charlie and the Plantars came from behind a garbage can which they hidden from till they ran off. They ran towards the entrance-exit access near the snack bar. They leaned out from it to take a look and when they notice that there are no moors on the coast, they run towards the access.
"I think we lost him." said Hop Pop.
"Another agent at the exit." Charlie told them telepathically as they stopped.
They stopped and hidden behind the front desk while they saw that Jenny was at the front entrance which Jenny was using an infrared gun to scan anyone who came and were about to leave to see if they were aliens or if they were Anne, Charlie and the Plantars in another disguise. Jenny scanned an interracial couple before letting them go once they've checked out.
"Damn it." Charlie said under his breath.
That's when Anne's phone rang and she picked it up and as she spoke into it. Anne's parents were on the other end.
"They're watching the exit. We need to find another way out. We can't just have Charlie teleport us all out of here or we'll definitely be exposed." said Anne over the phone.
"We're coming in to help." said Mr. Boonchuy.
"Did them secret agents hurt our babies!" came Kikyo's voice.
"No! I don't want you getting in trouble. We can handle it." Anne argued.
"Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy, mom, Kagura, we're in a tight spot. They're even guarding the entrance." said Charlie as he spoke to them telepathically.
Mrs. Boonchuy was telling her husband what he should tell Anne and the others but when Mr. Boonchuy was about to say it over the phone but he was going to put them on speaker phone till the person on speaker phone that spoke was speaking Thai and both Anne and Charlie looked at the phone's screen and it shown Mr. Boonchuy on the bottom of the screen but an old Thai woman on the top of the screen. It was Anne's grandmother and Charlie was a bit nervous as he was hoping to meet Anne's grandmother or other relatives when in a more relaxing and convenient situation.
The grandmother was speaking in Thai which both Anne and Charlie knew the language fluently. Judging by what they knew about translating the language. Anne's grandmother was asking if she was seeing Anne as she hasn't seen her in ages, saying in Thai how Anne looks skinny and if she was eating but she also blushed with a grin when she saw Charlie as she asked in Thai is this was Anne's boyfriend she heard so much about.
Charlie quickly spoke in Thai and whatever he just told the old Thai woman was something that made her smile with blushing cheeks and she spoke back in Thai as if she understood that they were in a situation and they'll call her back to explain everything once they've taken care of the situation.
"Oh, hi, Grandma. Yeah, I just had a sandwich. Yes, I'm dating. Mom, Dad, just stay in the car where it's safe. We'll meet you outside. Bye, Grandma, love you!" said Anne telling both her parents and her grandmother till she pushed a button to end the video call.
Charlie sensed the brainwaves of Mr. X getting closer as Anne was trying to think of an idea on how to get them out of there without being caught.
"We have to hide." Charlie said in a deep and low tone out loud. "We're being hunted, the entrance to booth twenty-one to forty straight ahead."
They turned to see that Mr. X was coming out of the exit of the booths that were from booth twenty-one to forty and Mr. X came out of there with his stun gun charged and ready as he smiled with excitement.
"Hide! Kakusu!" said Anne and Charlie in panicked unison.
Anne, Charlie and the Plantars ran into the entrance that led to booth one through twenty of the showroom sector. But what Charlie did next got Mr. X into a situation as he screamed and mimicked the scream of a girl perfectly.
"Ahhhhhh! That tall, creepy, bald man touched my ass!" screamed Charlie perfectly mimicking a girl's voice.
That's when Charlie looked back at Mr. X and shot him the middle finger which that left Mr. X wide eyed at Charlie's plan to keep him busy as a crowd of people looked towards Mr. X with very shocked and angry expressions.
"Well played, sonny Jim. Well played." said Mr. X under his breath.
"That sicko touched a ladies unmentionable!" a middle-aged woman loudly pointed out. "Get the sicko!"
Anne, Charlie and the Plantars were running down a hallway till they entered a dark room and closed the door afterwards to hide inside it.
"Oh crud. It's a dead end." said Anne as they saw a movie poster that had a red car and the words "Dead End" in black lettering.
"Ah! Classic. Charlie, the way you got that guy distracted with an angry mob. Nice one." said Hop Pop but their moment of triumph was short lived as the doorknob was jiggling. "Everyone, hide."
All five of them ran and found a place to hide in the dark room and Mr. X opened the door with the stun gun in hand while he had a few hand printed red marks on his face with his left eye looking like he received a black eye.
"So...many...angry...women...ouch." groaned Mr. X.
Mr. X saw what looked like a silhouette of Hop Pop and smiled as he approached it.
"Now, what could this be?" said Mr. X looking sly.
He slapped the silhouette of Hop Pop but as it spun. Mr. X saw that it revealed that the silhouette was of a cardboard cutout as he uttered "What the?" and that's when Anne, Charlie and the Plantars made a break for it.
"Run!" Anne and Charlie cried in unison.
"Oh no you don't." said Mr. X as he ran towards them.
Polly grabbed a roll of film tape and tossed it at Mr. X which the reel tied around his feet and he fell to the floor. He grabbed Hop Pop's left leg which dragged him away which as Hop Pop fell, his hat, fake nose and fake glasses fell off, revealing his real face to Mr. X as he gasped. Some of the bodily mucus from Hop Pop's body got on Mr. X's hand as he wiped it off his suit as Mr. X gasped and looked shocked.
"What even are you? And why are you so slimy? Ugh." said Mr. X looking both shocked and disgusted.
"Rude." said Hop Pop annoyed.
"Hey baldie!" cried Charlie in defiance as Mr. X looked up at a now very angry Charlie and Mr. X was showing slight fear. "Get away from my Otōsan, you bitch!"
Charlie let out a loud, thunderous, realistic lion like roar which left Mr. X wide eyed as Charlie charged at him and grabbed Mr. X by the front of his suit as he picked him up and this was the first time Mr. X shown any sign of fear to anyone.
"You're not that child from forty-two years ago. You're someone else. There's more of you." said Mr. X his voice now a bit shaky. "I know what you're thinking and you don't want to do it."
"I know who you are, Mr. X." said Charlie now perfectly mimicking a deep, low and scary sounding voice that sounded demonic. He was doing it to scare Mr. X. "If you ever lay your hands on those I love or if you hurt them. Then may God have mercy on your miserable soul."
"You won't harm a government agent." said Mr. X trying to appear unfazed.
"You cold blooded bastard! I'll tell you what I think of you. I'll live to see you eat your words. But I hope you leave enough room for my fist because I'm going to ram it in your stomach and break your damn, motherfucking spine!" Charlie threatened sharply.
Charlie suddenly punched Mr. X in the face and kicked him in his crotch which knocked the breath out of the bald-headed male adult, knocking him to the floor in pain. Charlie grabbed hold of Mr. X's stun gun and he destroyed it with his bare hands, now the weapon was nothing but destroyed metal as it was broken in two.
"Why do they always go for below the belt." said Mr. X with a gasp.
Anne grabbed hold of Sprig and Polly while Charlie picked up Hop Pop as the two teenagers ran out of the room and carried off the three frog like people. Charlie uttered his madman like cackling laugh.
"You kicked him in the nuts." chuckled Hop Pop.
"Could've been worse. I could've broken his spine." said Charlie in his normal voice. "No one harms my dad."
As they fled. Mr. X got up on his feet with a stagger and when he notices that the door was locked when he tried to open the door. Jiggling the doorknob shown him he was locked in.
"Got my ass kicked twice by a kid. That never leaves my mind." said Mr. X.
Mr. X started to use his watch to activate a laser and the laser hit the lock of the door till it melted a hole in there. That's when Mr. X kicked the door open and as he exited the room, he used an ear device to contact someone. He began to talk into the ear device as he shown to be giddy with excitement.
"Jenny, you're not gonna believe this. They're big, beautiful talking frog monsters! And that boy from the picture, he isn't that same kid from forty-two years ago, he's possibly someone else or that person's grandson. But he kicked my ass but I'm alright." said Mr. X as he tried to jump for joy but he groaned in pain from the aches to his crotch. "Call in the troops. And bring an ice pack. Ow! Got my ass whooped by a kid."
The Bathroom
Anne, Charlie, and the Plantars were in the bathroom and trying to hide in one of the stalls. But Anne and the Plantars were adjusting to keeping themselves up so no one could see their feet from below the door but Charlie pressed his legs up above the stall doors and looked like he was pressing his legs against the wall to keep himself from falling.
"I could teleport us out of here." Charlie suggested.
"Not yet. My phone is ringing. Only teleport us out of here unless we have no other choice." said Anne picking up her phone.
"OK, So your mother and I have a plan to get you out. It's really good too! Although Charlie's mother's idea was to teleport herself in there and teleport all of you out of there. But in case that can't be done. Then as a last resort. Have Charlie teleport all of you out of there." said Mr. Boonchuy over the phone.
"Guys, no! Seriously, we got this. It's four on one. When he comes in, we'll rush him and run. If that doesn't work. Then we'll have Charlie teleport us all out of here. See you soon." said Anne annoyed as she hung up the phone.
"Anne, I think now is the time for me to teleport us out of here." Charlie advised.
"Only as a last resort." said Anne.
Charlie raised a hand up to get their attention as he was being informed by his mother telepathically about something that has just happened.
"Anne, we have a big problem. The troops that Mr. X has called in have arrived. So it looks like I'm going to have to teleport us out of here but I got to time it right so we don't draw their attention nor draw the attention of others." Charlie whispered. "I can sense the brainwaves from here and my mom is telling me telepathically all about it. So they're going to have to try another way. Anne, we'll have to teleport out of here so all of you grab onto me when I say so."
It wasn't long till Mr. X, Jenny and a large group of armed, uniformed men were arriving at the bathroom and they were entering the bathroom.
"Let's grab ourselves some frog aliens." said Mr. X as both him, Jenny and the troops walked in.
"Anne, you, Hop Pop, Sprig and Polly grab onto me now." Charlie instructed them telepathically.
Just as Mr. X, Jenny and the troops were closing in on them and they were at the stall door that they were behind. That's when the lights went out.
"Charlie now!" Anne told Charlie telepathically.
Anne and the Plantars still had a hold of Charlie and he teleported them and himself out of the bathroom while the puff of gold smoke briefly shown some light till Mr. X turned on his flashlight and when he shined the light in front of him. He saw that Anne, Charlie and the Plantars were not in the bathroom stall but the only thing in the stall was three real live toads that were two of them fully grown and one of them in tadpole stage in a bag of water on top of the toilet seat.
Everyone but Mr. X and Jenny began to laugh at him as if this was someone's idea of a joke. Mr. X wasn't amused as he was humiliated and looked like he was made into a liar.
"Nice frog alien, sir." laughed one of the troops.
"I've heard of little green men, but this is ridiculous." joked another troop as two of them high fived each other. "I wonder how you got your ass whooped. Did you really get beaten down by a thirteen-year-old boy and a group of angry women."
Jenny gathered up the toads and carried them in the arms while Mr. X was annoyed and had a bag of ice on his head, another on his crotch.
"Looks like our little friends are smarter than I thought. We're gonna have fun with these two, Jenny. And we'll have the last laugh!" said Mr. X looking determined.
Outside the theater
It was dark outside and both Anne, Charlie and the Plantars teleported outside while an air duct cover got removed as Mr. Boonchuy came out while both Anne, Charlie, Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy, Kikyo, Kagura and the Plantars were outside. Charlie was immediately hugging his mother and Kagura.
"I don't believe it. Dad, Mom, Mrs. Matsuda, Kagura, how did you..." said an impressed Anne.
That was when Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy, Kikyo and Kagura explained how they did it. They explained how Mrs. Boonchuy and Kagura distracted some of the troops on the road with a magic act that entertained them both. Mr. Boonchuy and Kikyo got the pet frogs from a pet shop down the street as they explained the owner of the pet store was Mr. Tran, Anne's T-ball coach.
They explained how they caused the power failure at the theater when they messed with the power controls to cause a black out for the theater. This amazed them all as other FBI cars were driving off.
"Whoa!" said an impressed Anne.
"Amazing!" said Sprig.
"Solid!" said Polly.
"What is T-ball, anyway?" asked Hop Pop.
"You should've seen Charlie kick that secret agent's butt." said a thrilled Anne.
"What did Charlie do to him?" said a thrilled Mr. Boonchuy.
"Tall, dark and baldie. I mimicked a woman's voice and made others think he touched a woman's butt, then ranted at him while going all mama said knock you out on his ass." answered Charlie with a grin.
"He even kicked him in his crotch. Boom!" said a thrilled Hop Pop. "Charlie teleported us out of there."
"That's our little man." said Kikyo and Kagura proudly.
"You guys seriously did all that? I can't believe it. I guess I... I... misjudged you." said Anne while her voice got distorted at the last two words. "I also should've listened to Charlie. He suggested we let you guys help us out but I thought that we could handle this on our own, both when you guys first called us and when we were in the bathroom."
"That's OK, sweetie." said Mr. Boonchuy kindly.
"We forgive you." said Mrs. Boonchuy kindly.
"Charlie, I should've listened to you earlier." Anne apologized.
"It's alright Anne. Besides, I was already aware we had to time it right." said Charlie forgiving her.
"Wait, but how did you know which bathroom we were hiding in?" asked Anne.
That's when Anne's parents began to look nervous and sweat while Kikyo, Kagura and Charlie looked at them with a look that said "don't lie to them" as Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy began to say something.
"Parental intuition?" said Mrs. Boonchuy nervously lying.
"Come on, Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy." said Charlie, Kikyo and Kagura in unison.
"Okay, maybe the tracking device we put on Hop Pop when he was sleeping." said Mr. Boonchuy. "And both Kikyo and Kagura sensed your brainwave activity."
Hop Pop opened up his coat and there was a tracking device tapped to his chest while Charlie and Anne were a little surprised by this.
"I was wondering what that was." said Hop Pop.
"WHAT?!" cried a wide-eyed shocked Anne.
"You two could've put a tracking device in Anne's phone? My mom did that with me." said Charlie with an eyebrow raised.
Polly jumped up on top of Hop Pop to grab hold of the tracking device that was tapped to Hop Pop's chest.
"Polly, I wouldn't." Charlie began.
Polly pulled the tracking device off Hop Pop and the tape from it ripped off his body and ripped off some chest hair which made him yell in pain from it.
"Ripped off some chest hair?" guessed Polly.
"Big time." said answered Charlie. "Mom, Kagura, bring out the ice pack."
