"So…do you guys normally break everything or is this just an every now and again kinda deal?" I asked nervously.

These guys destroyed so much so quickly upon first meeting them, I really really hope it was just a one time…

"Haha! Not everything! We just make sure to keep each other on our toes!" Luck exclaimed with his usual smile.

"You jerk! The only one keeping anyone on their toes is you!" Magna complained, voice immediately raised.

When I saw Luck prepare for another fight IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DANG LIVING ROOM again, I couldn't stand by.

"HOLD IT!" I shrieked.

I meant that to be a lot more confident when I said it. Crap.

I took a deep breath before starting.

"Luck, how about you train with me?" I invited.

When I saw him prepare for another fight but still right in the hideout, I put my hands up frantically. "I meant outside!"

Which led to me being outside trying to not get killed by the one and only Luck Voltia. Even when I was training with Asta, I didn't have to use mana. I don't think anyway. And since Luck immediately made a rule about actually fighting and not dodging and putting him to sleep, I agreed.

And so we have been fighting. And fighting. And fighting!

I must have been so lost in thought about how I don't want to fight anymore, I didn't even sense Luck nearby until he tackled me to the ground.

"Hahaha! I win! Wanna fight some more? We got a few hours of daylight left!" He challenged while already throwing off huge amounts of sparks.

Until I saw him getting ready for another fight, I was thinking of the most polite way to say I want to go eat since I haven't eaten all day. That quickly went out the window.

"LUCK VOLTIA I'M FREAKING STARVING SO GET OFF AND LET'S GO EAT!" I screeched loud enough that I swear every animal within at least 10 miles ran for their life.

At this, he chuckled hoisted me up by my hand. I didn't even realize until we were at the door to the base that he never let go.

All I could hear was the growling demon in my belly and even when I realized it, I just wanted to eat!

"What's the matter with you? Luck go too rough on ya or something?" Magna drawled.

It took every bit of patience to not explode. I have never felt this hungry before! All I was able to do was let out some sort of snarl at Magna who took a huge step back.

Luck laughed. "She's really really hungry!"

I nodded in agreement before heading to the dining area. Asta immediately called out and made a gesture toward the seat beside him.

I collapsed in a heap beside him feeling absolutely miserable.

"Would you like something to eat, la?" Charmy asked while putting what looked like a whole hog in front of me.

"Charmy, I don't think she can eat all of that." Asta said while reaching for the plate Charmy was attempting to hand me.

I quickly snatched it away from him and chowed down.

As the moments passed and I felt my hangry phase subside, I realized the dining area had become completely silent and looked up to see all eyes on me.

I looked at all of them while nibbling on the remnants of meat left on the bone before smiling and placing it down.

What the heck happened to me? I felt like I was starving beyond any feeling I had ever felt before!

"Wow, Y/n! You must've been starving!" Asta exclaimed.

"You put that away faster than Vanessa can put away alcohol." Finral commented while Vanessa put her bottle in the air as if in toast.

I managed not to let my insecurities pray for a hole to open in the earth and swallow me. Luck disappeared on a mission, and so I followed along with Asta and Magna on their way to explore the building.

By the time we reached the end, I was met with a familiar face.

Ms. "I am Royalty".

As she began really laying into Asta and Magna, it took every ounce of energy I possessed to not smack her.

I remember what happened at this point, but I still don't like it.

When she used her magic and obviously aimed at Asta, only to hit Magna, and stomped off like a child saying she quit, all I could do was shake my head.

Magna was beyond pissed off and Asta was beyond confused.

I placed my hand on Magna's shoulder, which immediately dried him off.

"Hey! What did..?" Magna began.

"I dried you off. No one wants to walk around soaked to the skin, you know!" I said with a smile.

Magna stared at me like he wanted to ask me something and his face was as red as a tomato.

"Is that…really all you did?" He inquired.

Confusion immediately took over as I started thinking about his question.

"All I did was dry you off, Magna. Why? Do you hurt or something?" I asked with concern laced in my voice.

Magna's POV

What did she just do to me? I was mad! Like raging mad and she touched me and, yeah, she dried me off, but I also immediately felt calm.

I was pissed and this chick touched me and calmed me down!? WITH A TOUCH?

He stood there flabbergasted as he watched her walk off with Asta.

Y/n's POV

Asta and I decided to go for a walk. I knew we would end up finding Noelle, but having this moment with Asta was very nice. We don't get to spend time together as much as before.

As he talked about his dreams, I listened patiently and nodded excitedly with him. When he paused for a moment, I stopped too and gave him a questioning gaze.

"Do you really believe in me?" He asked. The way he asked that question while even having a soft smile broke my heart a little bit.

Even still, I let out a relieved laugh.

"Well duh! Of course, I do!" I spoke these words with joy and continued.

"Asta, just because you don't have magic, doesn't mean you can't reach your dreams. I believe that now more than before because look how far you've come!" I exclaimed.

"You're a Black Bull! A magic knight! Anyone who thinks you can't do whatever you set your mind on with that knowledge is blind." I finished with a smile and felt myself waver a little seeing him stare at me.

I started feeling extremely self-conscious, but before it could get too difficult to bear, I felt Asta wrap his arms around me. Without hesitation, I returned his hug feeling a burst of joy.

I feel so happy!

I pulled away with a smile and leaned forward to give him a kiss on his nose.

When I realized what I had just done, I leapt back in a panic, apologizing profusely.

Asta was stuttering.

Did I really make him that uncomfortable?

"What was that for?" He asked, with one hand gently laying on his nose. He was wide eyed and red.

Even though I feel so embarrassed, I want to be honest with Asta.

"It's because…you deserve the world. I don't have the world. But, I want you to feel the joy I feel when we are together!" I spoke that with whatever confidence I could muster, which wasn't hardly any.

"Um…anyway. I GOTTAGOBYE!" I made a quick getaway, leaving Asta in the dust.

I had been wandering for a little while trying to get my thoughts in order, when I heard the sound of water.

I let out a knowing sigh as I made my way back to the base. By the time I got there, Asta was already being thrown like a dart toward Noelle's mishap.

I don't want to change too much. So I'll wait here and heal any bumps and bruises Asta and Noelle might endure.

Right on cue, Asta and Noelle came flying out of the sky, were saved by Finrals' portal, and right before they landed, I was standing on the other side ready to check them over.

I looked over to Asta and checked to make sure he was okay while he proceeded to inspire Noelle.

After finding that Asta is okay (how, I don't even know), I walked over to Noelle and checked her over as well.

"I remember you. You're that commoner with the wings."

"I also go by Y/n." I said with a chuckle. I shook my head as she said something about not needing whatever because she's royalty.

"Noelle." I interjected as we all walked back to the base. "The pain of others doesn't have to cause you pain. In that short moment I met your brother, I saw his cruelty, but saw his pain as well."

She stayed silent as I continued.

"The insults he hurls at you has nothing to do with what you are or are not capable of. They are insults cast from a broken heart." I ended our short talk and sprinted after Charmy.

"All that fear and chaos made me hungry, la."

"Your food is the best cure for such things." I spoke up.

I sat down opposite Charmy and immediately had the life shocked outta me by Luck. Dude appeared out of nowhere and poked me out of the blue when all I wanted was to eat.

"Y/n, wanna fight?" He punched his fists out my way in excitement.

"No, Luck." I said firmly.

"Oh come on! We can.."

I turned toward him with my finger pointing his way and said one more time, "No!"

I turned back to Charmy's cooking and felt Luck settle down next to me quietly. I heard something about someone being cute when she's mad, but whatever. I'M STARVING!

"Let's eat Charmy!"
