It had been a couple months since the wedding and Beth had gotten used to her new life.

Her days were rather relaxed for the most part. She was of course obligated to spend every event on Snow's arm, join him for every party, and be in the picture for every speech, making sure that they stayed in the eye of the public as the always happy and perfect couple. Beth had found that some events were not half bad. She had gotten to know all the well known faces in the Capitol and even become friends with some of the wifes of the Capitol's elite. Beth had tried to keep a healthy distance to most but she had to admit that a certain few were pretty good people to be around.

Snow himself was still very much a mystery to Beth. He was cold and controlled at most times but he treated Beth well and sometimes he made her laugh and his presence left her feeling warm and fuzzy inside.

Beth couldn't help but wonder if she had actually developed feelings for him.

Everytime that train of thought crossed her mind a little voice inside Beth's head told her to stop fooling herself, if anything she had deluded herself into developing feelings for him by acting like it every minute of every day. Beth shooed that voice away. In her book it didn't really matter. If anything she was rather comfortable in her delusion, and besides, it only meant she had an easier time playing her part.
