Author Notes: Few things I wanna discuss before you get to reading. Just that I know I need to do a better job at explaining certain things especially battles. so I'm gonna try and improve that going forward . If someone can let me know if the POV I'm writing from and the way I'm writing the story is okay that would be appreciated. I'm honestly just trying to put my own stupid little twist on Pokémon , the fact I have 7 followers for this is actually a confidence boost even if that seems silly to whoever decides to read this . So to you 7 followers I thank you! Let's get on to the story.

Scorbunny(Vulcan)- Ability: Blaze

Moves: Tackle, Quick attack, Ember, Agility, Egg move High Jump Kick

Chapter 3: Rewards? New Friend?

Waking up the next day I groaned. It was definitely to early to be awake I thought to myself.

Checking my PokéGear I noticed two things. One I had 13 Missed calls as well as a few messages, and two it was 6 in the morning.

Yeah, fuck this . Heroes deserve to sleep in , and with that thought I planted my head back in the pillow and went back to sleep.

Loud knocking was what woke me up a couple hours later.

Rolling over with a groan I checked the time on my PokéGear. 8 in the morning are you kidding me? Who could possibly be this persistent and annoying at this time I thought.

Scor!

I looked towards the foot of my bed and saw a very tired and rather annoyed looking Vulcan looking between me and the door before settling for staring at the door with a look of annoyance.

Might as well see what's going on , and with that thought I got out bed walked towards the door and opened it.

Of course it was Ash and he had a pretty orange haired companion with him . I honestly should've known with how annoyingly persistent the knocking was . I'm surprised he didn't start yelling my name as he knocked

Ash seemed to not notice that I opened the door and that he wasn't knocking on anything solid as he was currently speaking to the pretty young women .

"Misty, I just want to say thank you to my friend Jacob for the save last night. I know you wanna get through Viridian Forest as fast as possible , but I gotta do this. My mom even called me and told me to tell him to check his PokéGear."

The look of confusion when he said that last part almost made me burst out in laughter but I held it in .

Ash finally seemed to notice he wasn't knocking on a door anymore and looked back towards the now open doorway .

I just stood there with an amused smile and raised eyebrow as I looked at Ash and his new friend .

" How long have you been standing there and where are the rest of your clothes?" Ash asked

"Only a couple minutes . You really didn't notice you weren't knocking on a door anymore? To answer your last question it's my room Ash, your pretty friend over here with the red face is lucky I'm wearing anything at all."

Oh yeah , Misty was Red As a Tomato and it was a hilarious sight . She ended up stuttering out a quick thank you and goodbye before running off somewhere .

I chuckled, I'm not very muscular in this world yet but I have a decent physique. Her reaction must be from growing up with only sisters around. Judging by her reaction she hasn't seen many undresses dudes if she's seen any at all .

Ash looked on at the scene a little bewildered

"How did you do that Jacob?"

"Do what Ash?"

" Get her to leave and quietly at that. Shes always so loud and aggressive with me."

" Well did you do anything to make her act like that? She seemed normal to me if not a little nervous."

At my question Ash rubbed the back of his head. " I might have accidentally ruined her bike."

"How did you manage that ash? "

And with that question he told me his story of waking up late to not getting any of the Random Starters from the Lab . To professor Oak offering him a pikachu which he eagerly took so he could start his journey. How that pikachu didn't listen at first and how in his anger ash angered a flock of Spearow. That same flock ended up hurting Pikachu and Ash stole Misty's bike to get Pikachu to the Viridian Pokémon center. The flock wasn't giving up tho and they chased Ash until Pikachu used the rest of his power before falling unconscious to electrocute the flock . He shocked everything including Ash and the bike.

Listening to Ash's story had a few thoughts swimming in my head.

One , Ash still ended up with his Pikachu , there has gotta be a different level of Fate playing their part in that.

Two, Kanto Events seem to be unfolding the same as they did in the anime .

Three, I'm pretty sure I just brought Team Rockets eyes onto me when they should be on Ash.

Fucking Bullshit Anime Protagonist crap.

If the god of this world (Arceus) did bring me here for a reason and it's to be a hero they're gonna get a hero the likes they've never fucking seen before, and I'm gonna have a good time doing it while using every resource at my disposal.

I heard Ash clear his throat and I looked up

"Sorry about that man , that's just a crazy story . took me some time to process it all"

Ash nodded his head and then said something that brought new ideas to my head .

" So have you heard about the new Pokémon trading system Jacob?" Ash asked me

Looking at him I shook my head no and promoted him to explain.

" It's a new system implemented this league season to make things more interesting in the regions for the new season . Kinda like the starter swaps they did. It's a Database full of trainers looking to trade for specific Pokémon . Let's say someone In Sinnoh wanted a Scorbunny and you wanted a Gible , if you wanted to you could set up that trade from any trading station and be the new owner of a Gible. The only thing is there's a two trade limit per league season. They don't want people to abuse the system and it's monitored pretty well. They have you link your Pokédex to make sure you aren't trying to abuse the system."

After that explanation I tuned out whatever else he was saying.

I already had a Specific Pokémon in mind that I wanted to check the system for.

" Ash do you know where the closest trading system is? I'd like to check it after I get back from meeting with the Chief at the police station."

He explained to me that there was one here at the Pokémon center and that I'd just have to ask Nurse Joy.

After he explained that to me he took his leave , telling me he had to find Misty and get on with his adventure . I wished him luck and that was the end of that .

Walking back into my room I explained to Vulcan that we'd be leaving to talk to the police chief in a little while and that he'd need to stay in his ball for that.

He didn't look happy but he nodded his head in acceptance.

After getting dressed for the day I took another look at all the notifications on my Pokégear and decided I'd deal with them later . I wanted to get this meeting over with so I could make it into Viridian Forest and get Vulcan some more experience in battling.

Turning to Vulcan who was sitting on the bed I told him to jump onto my shoulder . " I'll return you to your ball once we get there."

With that said I walked out of my rented room and headed towards the exit .

Walking past the front desk I saw Nurse Joy and smiled and waved at her

she smiled back while blowing me a kiss and winking.

What is this some type of ecchi anime world! Am I giving off some anime hero vibes or what?! Daisy and Misty I can understand , but Delia and now Nurse Joy? I'm a Hot babe magnet in this world and it honestly feels a little undeserved. I Can't change it tho so might as well go with the flow.

With those thoughts in my mind settled I made the short journey to the police station .

"Alright Vulcan time to return to your ball for awhile. I promise I'll try get through this as fast as I can ."

He nodded and then I returned him to his ball and stepped into the building .

I walked up to the front desk and told the officer Jenny I was here to see the chief and that I was told to come by after last nights incident .

She told me the Chief would be ready in a few minutes

I nodded and then went and sat down on a chair while I waited

After about 5 minutes another Officer Jenny walked up with a nervous look on her face and said she'd escort me to the chief.

Getting up I nodded and followed her as she started leading the way.

It was a quiet walk until the Jenny leading me spoke up.

" I'm really sorry about all of that stuff yesterday . I shouldn't have accused you like that out in the open for everyone to see. I've already been reprimanded but I just wanted to apologize." She said to me without meeting my eyes as we continued to walk.

I nodded my head and thought about what to say .

"All I can really say is do better in the future, it could've ended a lot worse for you if it was someone with any type of political power. Imagine if you would've accused professor oaks grandson who also just started his journey."

She visibly paled and blanched.

Chuckling to myself I continued following her.

After walking up a flight of stairs we turned down a hallway and stopped in front of a door with Chief Jenny written into the wood as some type of nameplate .

"Well this is it just knock and wait for her to say enter , and once again I'm really sorry ." She apologized again and walked away.

Unashamed I stared at her ass in that tight blue skirt. God damn that women does not skip leg day. I'd do some crazy shit to see her in a sundress or leggings. Are her hips moving more?

Sure enough as I focused more I noticed a significant sway of her hips. Then she stopped moving .

Fuck, please don't be looking back at me.

Looking up I saw that sure enough she was looking back at me.

Oh man , she totally caught me being a perv. Can she arrest me for that? I wouldn't put it past her to try for some revenge , I know I would. Well I can't back down from this stare off.

With those thoughts in mind I continued staring into her Amber eyes.

Then she did something I didn't expect, but looking back on it I probably should have with how my life with the women around her has gone.

She took out her notepad and pen and wrote something down. Then she bent over showcasing even more of her well toned ass and legs and put the paper on the floor.

She stood up looked at me and said " oops I seemed to have dropped something. Could you pick that up please I have to be somewhere?" With the terrible acting done she winked and left.

What the fuck.. at this rate I might as well get ready to fuck one of Misty's older sisters. Not a bad idea now that I think about it. That could turn out very promising I mused .

Walking over I picked up the piece of paper. Sure enough it was her number and a note to call her sometime.

Shaking my head I walked back to the chiefs door and knocked.

"Enter" I heard from inside the room and I opened the door.

Stepping inside the office I didn't notice anything of note. It had a few plaques with mediocre achievements noted on them . A desk a few chairs and a couch off to the side was the rest . All in all it was rather mundane.

" I have a lot of stuff to do today so we are gonna keep this quick." I heard her say

She stood up walked around her desk and stood in front of me. While offering a handshake . I shook her hand then she backed up a few steps.

" To keep this quick I'm gonna give you your rewards and then send you on your way, I'm sure you want to continue your journey."

I nodded my head and waited for her to continue.

" To start with please hand me your Pokédex , I'm going to transfer money into your account as part of you reward. I think for protecting the Pokémon center and stopping those thieves 20,000 Poké dollars is fair enough?"

My eyes almost bulged out of my head. That money will go a long way . At least until I got to the Celadon Department store.

"Of course" I said while handing her my Pokédex.

she took my Pokédex and plugged it into a device next to her computer and then she reached into a drawer .

What she pulled out had me raising my eyebrow with what I imagine was a questioning look on my face .

I'm her hand was a shrunken down Poké ball .

She must've noticed what my look meant because she started to laugh .

" To keep it simple we get sent Growlithe for new Officers to be partnered with so that they may grow together . This year we had an Extra sent and when we tried to send it back the breeder just said they didn't have any room and to keep it. So we've had this girl for a couple months and no partner for her so I figured she'd be another good reward for your heroics last night" and with that being said she handed me the Poké ball.

The Device my Pokédex was hooked up to pinged and the Chief Jenny grabbed it and handed it back to me . She thanked me again and then sent me on my way.

Walking down the hallway I was looking at the Pokéball in my hand with a sad look. While Growlithe were amazing I personally didn't want to have Two of the same types on my team at this time . Right now I need diversity.

With those sad thoughts lingering I made my way out of the building and back to the Pokémon center Letting Vulcan out along the way. Who immediately jumped on my shoulder making me smile.

I needed to speak with Nurse Joy about using the trading system. Growlithe were popular and highly sought after I just know there'd be someone looking for one using that system. I'd give the Growlithe a better home where she would be more appreciated and I could potentially find a better suited team member.

Walking into the Pokémon center I made my way right to her Nurse Joy.

"Excuse me Nurse joy , could you take me to the trading room please . I got a Pokémon as a reward from the police chief but she's not really suited for my team. So I wanna send her to someone who will appreciate her more. "

With a small smile on her face she nodded and told me to follow her.

She lead me into a room with a computer and some type of device next to it.

The device was shaped like a cylinder and had a tray in the middle of it as long as a clear window on the front.

That must be what you set the Poké ball in to send it and receive I thought to myself.

She Explained to me how to search through the database on the computer and how to work the transferring device and then she asked if I had any questions .

I shook my head while Thanking her , and then I went and sat at the computer to scroll through the database for anyone looking for a Growlithe.

After going through a couple profiles of people asking for a Growlithe I found one that piqued my interest.

There was a young couple who were looking to trade for a Growlithe for their daughter who has been asking for a Dog . What truly piqued my interest was the Pokémon they'd be sending in return .

Apparently they thought that a Riolu would have been fine as a pet dog and they spent quite a bit of money to make that happen , but the small child for some reason never got attached and they'd often catch the Riolu training himself in the backyard with a look of sadness.

This is the one and with that final thought I clicked on the profile and messaged them hoping they were capable of doing this trade soon .

After a few minutes I got a message back saying they'd be ready in about 10 minutes they just needed to make there way to a Pokémon center.

I sent them back a friendly message and proceeded to wait.

After about 15 minutes I got a message saying they were ready whenever I was . Clicking on their profiles I saw a button that was now highlighted saying " Commence Trade"

Standing up I went a set the Growlithes Pokéball in the tray and closed the window.

Walking back to the computer I clicked the now highlighted button and watched as the Ball vanished and then a new ball appeared in its place.

With an Excited grin on my face I walked towards the machine and took the ball out .

I smiled at Vulcan who was looking at me with a questioning faze and I smirked at him.

"This is gonna be our new partner, and I'm sure you'll both get along quite well" and with that said I walked out of the room and out towards the training area with Vulcan on my shoulder and my new partner in my hand.

Standing in the middle of the training area I stared at the Poké ball in my hand and smiled then I pressed the release button.

Out came a Blue Bi-pedal Dog like Pokémon with black furred paws and a what looked like a mask made of black fur covering its Nose to its eyes to its ears.

Riolu? It said while looking around

I crouched down in front of the little blue dog like Pokémon and waved at it.

"Hi Riolu, I don't know if the family you were with explained what was gonna happen but Me and Vulcan over there." I said while pointing at Vulcan who was standing off to the side

" We are gonna be your new family , we'd like you to join us on our journey to become a Family of fighters who all become the best their kind has to offer , and I think you have what it takes if those "secret" training sessions you thought you were having was any indication of your drive to be better. " I said with a wink

The Riolu looked at me as if it was judging me then after a few minutes it nodded its head and walked towards me.

I smiled and pulled out my Pokédex.

I pointed it at my new partner and scanned

Riolu: The Emanation Pokémon

This Riolu is Male and has the ability Inner Focus

This Riolu knows the moves Quick attack, Metal Claw, Counter, Work up and the Egg move Bullet Punch

I whistled loudly earning looks from both my Pokémon

looking at Riolu I said " You have quite the moveset buddy . You'll be a real terror at the first gym we go to. Would you like a name? Vulcan has one " I finished while pointing to Vulcan.

After a couple seconds of what I assume to be thinking my new Riolu nodded.

After a few minutes I finally thought of something I thought was suitable .

"How about Bane" I asked him

because you're gonna be the Bane of your Opponents existence I explained.

He nodded his head happily and then tried to show off by doing some type of fighting pose he must've seen in some movie.

I laughed a good laugh and then explained to Vulcan and Bane that we were gonna be heading to Viridian Forest so that we could make our way to our first gym battle as a team.

With explanations done I decided it was time to get a move on . So I went back to the Pokémon center grabbed my gear from my room, returned the key to Nurse Joy and set out to Viridian forest with my two Partners on my shoulders .
