"Wait...Is that Macquack?" Sandy whispered in a surprised tone.

Sandy was going to feed the animals in the alleyway, but he didn't expect Macaque to be here. Macaque was sitting down sleeping on top of some old newspapers with his scarf laying down beside him. Sandy noticed that the scarf was a little...larger? It looked as if something, or someone was under it. Sandy was about to reach for the scarf, but Macaque woke up. Sandy took a couple of steps back away from the monkey. Macaque yawned and looked at where his scarf was. Macaque was about to take the scarf, but he had the feeling as if he was being watched by someone. He looked up and saw the buff ginger just standing there.

"Uhh...Hi Mr. Macquack!" said Sandy in an awkward tone.

Macaque was surprised to see Sandy here. Macaque quickly realized that Bei Da was still sleeping. An expression of worry and panic was now placed on his face. He knew that he was going to give Bei Da to MK and his friends, but not like this! They had to find the cat first.

"Erm, first of all my name is pronounced 'Macaque' and second of all what are you doing here?" Macaque asked.

"Oh, I'm sorry! I was going to feed the animals in the alleyways and then I saw you." Sandy responded. "I also noticed that your scarf looked like it had something in it?"

Macaque panicked. 'OH SHIT. HE NOTICED BEI DA. WHAT THE FUCK AM I GONNA DO NOW?!' He thought.

"Um...Macaque, Did you hear me-"

"OH! Uh..My scarf? It's probably just a couple of rats or something like that!" Macaque said in a nervous tone. He had a nervous smile plastered on his face.

"Are you okay?" Sandy asked in a concerned tone. "If you're not okay, I can take you to my boat for some tea!"

"Um..nah, I'm fine!" Macaque quickly answered. "In fact, I actually have to be somewhere right now!"

"Oh! Ok, by-"

"KAY BYE!" Macaque exclaimed in a nervous tone.

He grabbed the scarf that Bei Da was sleeping in. He made sure that the ginger didn't see her at all and jumped into his shadow portal.

Sandy was now alone in the alleyway. He couldn't help, but to feel suspicious of the black furred monkey. Macaque was acting strange, especially when Sandy asked about the scarf.

'I need to tell MK about this...' Sandy thought to himself.

Meanwhile with Macaque and Bei Da...

The shadow monkey was now in a different part of the alleyway. The morning sunlight had broken into the once dark and grim alleyway. Macaque sighed and looked at the red scarf that Bei Da was sleeping in.

'This kid has to be a heavy sleeper if she can sleep through all of that noise.'

The monkey placed Bei Da down and then realized that once she wakes up, she would either question why they are in a different alleyway or ask for food...which they don't have. Macaque didn't know what to do, but an idea came to mind. He would just "borrow" some food from some store or restaurant. It would be easy to do since it was very early in the morning.

The monkey quietly left the alleyway and was met with the silence of the city. The city's streets were empty and quiet. The once busy stores and restaurants were filled with silence. Macaque noticed a restaurant with a pink sign with a pig on it. The monkey read the sign, the sign had the words 'Pigsy's Noodles' written on it.

Macaque used his shadow portal to teleport inside the restaurant. The black furred monkey was now inside the restaurant and then he started looking for the kitchen. Once he found the kitchen, he started stealing food from the fridge.

He just took food that was easy to carry like mangos, strawberries, a can of soup, and...peaches. He didn't want to take the peaches since they reminded him of Wukong. As much as he wanted to avoid his old friend's favorite fruit, he took the peaches as well.

He was about to take some more food, but then he heard a noise and realized that someone was coming. The monkey quickly grabbed whatever he could get his hands on. He summoned his shadow portal once again and was teleported back outside of the restaurant. He made a dash for the alleyway, but he had to be careful with the food.

He made it back to Bei Da, who looked as if she just woke up. She looked around and locked eyes with Macaque, who had a bunch of food in his arms.

"Oh! Good morning, Macaque!" Bei Da said with a smile.

"Good morning, kiddo." Macaque said. "I got you some breakfast if you want any."

"Ooo! What did you get?" Bei Da asked.

"I got some mangos, strawberries, peaches, and a can of soup" the monkey responded.

"A can of soup?" Bei Da questioned. "But we don't have a stove to warm it up?"

"Oh right." Macaque said. "Welp, we can always make a fire."

Bei Da looked at him with confusion.

"Um, wouldn't that make everyone think that a fire started in the alleyway?"

"Nah, they would just probably think it was someone smoking or Red Son." Macaque answered.

"Red Son? Isn't he the red boy with the flames?" The girl asked.

"Yep, quite the pain in the neck if you were his clothes." Macaque joked.

"Hehe! Ok, let's make a fire." Bei Da said.

Bei Da looked for some paper and sticks while Macaque looked for a lighter. The monkey found an old lighter near a dumpster and picked it up. Bei Da found some old newspapers and an old bird's nest which looked abandoned. She checked if the nest had eggs, luckily there weren't any eggs in the nest. They both returned and started the fire.

When Bei Da was trying to open the can, she noticed something written on it.

"Hey Macaque?"

"Yeah, Bei?" The monkey responded.

"Did you know that this was a can of beans?" Bei Da questioned.

"What? Let me see that." Macaque responded in a confused tone.

Bei Da handed him the can for closer inspection. She was right, it was a can of beans. Macaque realized that he must have grabbed the beans instead of the soup when he was rushing in the restaurant's kitchen.

"Huh, I guess you're right." Macaque said. "Do you not like beans?"

The black furred monkey thought that since she had pointed out that it was a can of beans and not a can of soup, she probably didn't like beans then right?

"No, I like beans!" Bei Da responded, "I didn't want us to be surprised when it was actually a can of beans."

"Oh, ok. Do you need help opening the can?" Macaque asked.

"Yes please!"

The monkey opened the can and started to warm it over the fire. Once it was warm enough, he gave it to Bei Da. She started eating the food like it was the last thing on the earth. Macaque started to eat as well, he ate one of the mangos that he got. Once they both finished eating, Macaque grabbed his scarf off of the alleyway floor and tried his best to get any dirt off of it. While he was doing this, something caught Bei Da's attention.

"Hey Macaque, quick question, why are we in a different alleyway?" Bei Da asked in confusion.

Macaque started panicking in his mind. 'Ok, so she realized that we were in a different alleyway. No big deal, not at all! I just have to come up with something without her getting suspicious of it." The monkey thought to himself.

"Oh, well there was a...gas leak in the alleyway that we were in before." Macaque answered.

"Ohh, okay!"

The girl had believed the little, white lie that the monkey had told her.

"Anyways kiddo, we better start finding that cat of yours." Macaque said.

"Right! I already checked some of the alleyways, but I haven't been to this alleyway yet. So we better start here!" Bei Da responded in a confident tone.

"Heh, alright, Beans." Macaque responded.

"Ok, let's go- wait a minute." Bei Da said. "Did you just call me 'Beans'?"

"Yep, that's your nickname now." The shadow monkey said in a calm tone.

"I..but..ugggh, okayyy, let's go find my cat." Bei Da said in defeat.

The two started the search for Bei Da's cat in the alleyway.

"WHAT THE HELL?!"
