"Alright. Ready?" Moxxie questioned, leaning against the wall nearest to Jophiels throne room door. Which was blocked by two Seraphim's by Maxiels assumptions.
Millie gave a confirming nod, and they looked at each other one last time before separating. They both moved quickly and quietly. Millie was able to get the jump on her angel, strangling him with the rope that was used to tie them up, twisting it tighter as she perched on his shoulders. Yanking him back into a corner where she could finish him off.
Moxxie on the other hand stabbed his angel in the chest with his angel blade, holding it in the dead center of his heart, and dragging it upwards. Nearly cutting the Seraph in half whilst having a gag in his mouth in order to not make any sound. They didn't want to notify the skinny and scrawny angel at any costs. The teen didn't settle right in their minds, and it would be best to avoid him at all costs.
They both soon laid dead in a corner, and blood was pouring out of their skulls.
"Did you have to?" Moxxie winced to himself at the sight then looked back at the big golden doors that glimmered and shined with holy light personified.
"If your buddy was right about the regeneration, then yes. It was necessary." Millie deadpanned. Ready for action at any given moment.
"I don't think you can argue with that." The angel commented in Moxxies mind.
He chuckled lightly, and the duo put their hands on the big doors.
"one…..two…..three!" With all their brute force, and the addition of Maxiels magic, the door swung open. Slamming into the white walls with a loud CRACK!
"WHERE THE HELL IS THAT DAMN ANGEL?!" Millie exclaimed, getting into a battle stance once more.
"Oh hello," Jophiel said calmly, sitting on her gold throne that was taller and more flashy than the other two to her side. While her wings rested and rustled against her throne with a prideful and corrupt smile that made Moxxie and Mariel shutter in their skin.
Moxxie made sure to analyze the whole room, it was huge, with four pillars. Two in the back, and two in the front. There was three thrones. One was for the Prime Archangel, Michael, laced in silvers and plastered in smooth gold. The second to Michaels left was for Gabriel, Heavens Messenger, which was a smooth marble. But the third? It seemed to be collecting dust for decades, silver in color. It was unused…why? Who could have possibly sat there hundreds of thousands of years ago?
"Ahh.." Jophiel said calmly as she watched Moxxies gaze stand on the empty throne. "You must be wondering who sat there…am I not correct?" She added on.
"The hell is she talking about?" Millie snarled at Jophiel.
"I don't know…" Moxxie commented, not sure who Jophiel was talking too.
"I think she's talking to me." Maxiel deadpanned in the demons mind.
"What? Why would she want to talk to you?"
Maxiel sighed, "Just….switch. I need to thin out some clouds here."
"About what?"
"Heavens Gate"
"Oh," Moxxie sighed deeply and looked to Millie to approve. She gave a knowing nod.
"Alright, go ahead." He replied.
Moxxies eyes changed from red and yellow, to blue and white. His curly horns became splattered with an overwhelming white, and his skin became inked with white and blues as well. Maxiel straitened out his posture, and folded in his wings…
But he looked…….guilty.
"You wanted to speak with me?" Maxiel questioned. He didn't enjoy it, Millie could tell by the way his hands fidgeted behind his back. Just like Moxxie when he was nervous on hunts.
Jophiel gave an amused chuckle, "Oh this is new…" she said in a condescending tone. "Now," She ordered. "Why are you after three hundred years now showing your face Maxiel? Have a change of heart? To join back to your true divinity?"
"No." Maxiel deadpanned, looking back to Millie, who gave him a reassuring and determined smile. "I haven't changed. And I'm not going back." He pulled out his two red angel blades and got ready with Millie.
"Oh My my my….what a change in fates!" Jophiel commented in the same condescending and amused tone. She was on such a high horse that she didn't realize the power the duo held. "Do you really think you can stop me, child?" She snarled back, slowly rising from her throne. And pulling out two Archangel blades. They were bigger and stronger than angel blades, only carried by the most powerful angels. With a wave of her hand, she pinned Maxiel and Millie to the walls of the throne room. It felt like a concrete wall was being pushed and pressed on their bodies, immobilizing them.
"Do you really think this is just some moronic game?" She chuckled maniacally as she threw Millie into a wall. Millie gasped for air and choked, spitting out blood.
"Damn it.." she cursed under her breath.
"I am not playing your game angel. I am the one running it, and you will play by the rules.." Jophiel started to tighten her hand, making the grip on Maxiels lungs shrink. He was slowly dying at this rate, his oxygen was being cut off.
"This isn't good!" Moxxie panicked in the angel's mind.
"It's— not.." Maxiel quietly replied.
Jophiel began to drag her blades on the ground, screeching like sirens as they dug into the marble flooring, walking slowly and menacingly.
'Why try to defeat someone who you know is better than you in all ways Maxiel?" She put her face up to Maxiels, her crimson eyes boring into his blue eyes. She began to choke him more, waiting for his plea, a surrender, but he never did. He stood for what he believed, even if that meant he would die in the process. His life didn't matter unless he made it matter.
Maxiel chuckled, a little weak and out of breath, but was in an obvious mocking tone and manner. "I know I can," he began to smirk as his eyes began to grow a bright blue. Filled with pride and determination by the show of power. It was limitless in Jophiels eyes, but everything has a limit, even herself.
And Maxiel was going to use every last drop. Every second.
"I know I can't...but he can."
"Who—" Jophiel was briefly cut off by the sound of a whizzing arrow, pulling away a second too late. Letting it slash a hole in her white dress, exposing her pale skin underneath.
Maxiel chuckled, and Millie 'Whoo'd' from the sidelines, but quickly ran to the angel's side ready. The arrow was one of the archangels. Pure gold that seemed to bend all of reality.
"Heyoo! We have arrived!" Uriel exclaimed in a heavy Roman accent, holding her bow out. She looked smaller than most of the angels Moxxie had met in the past. She was very bubbly and had a lot of energetic spunk to her character. her hair was dirty crimson, wearing a golden chest plate, with golden shoulder guards.
"We came as soon as Michael gave word," Gadreel spoke up, holding his angelic sword to his side in an offensive stance. He was a tall figure, about Michael's towering height. He was tan, with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes that seemed to burn like a blue fire.
Jophiel scowled and started to get defensive. "This is mutiny against heaven! You all will be punished!"
"Jophiel, stand down." Michael walked up to the front of the angels with an assertive tone. He was always close to the code of the angels. Which was not to punish the people that don't get a chance to go peacefully. To set things without the need for bloodshed.
"Bite me." She growled, raising her blades up.
"So be it." Michael raise up his fist and the two angels to his side swung their hands up, opening the doors to the building.
The main doors to heaven swung open, revealing all of heaven's angels and army. Ready on Michael's command. Michael pulled down his hand, pointing it directly at Jophiel and her men. Making her get into a battle-ready stance.
"Who is like unto God?" Michael yelled, leading the head charge of the angels. Millie jumped in and began to rip through Jophiel's angels and mercenaries with no mercy.
The battle of Heaven has begun.
