Wednesday often spent their time alone, not that Enid minded. But at times, mostly in the evening, They'd visit Enid and sit in her room, willingly watching movies with her. Enid never really asked about pronouns, perfectly happy with just calling them by their chosen title. It always made her smile when they appeared, an ease rose from her chest, which was mostly the fear of her mother's rage.
Wednesday had an easy time intimidating the alpha of the pack, and the other wolves. Esther and her brothers often left Enid alone, leaving the girl actually rather lonely, which was why she'd usually pester Wednesday. At least they could watch horror movies, after their begrudging agreement.

The summer went faster than it usually did for Enid, which made her extremely happy. Sure, she'd text her friends, Yoko and Ajax, but she recently found herself spending more time with Wednesday instead of online. Wednesday reminded Enid of a cat, grumpy and stand offish. They were intimidating and threatening, but there was an underlying softness that only the girl could see. Enid blaimed it on that stupid summoning thing. She definitely didn't regret it though.
"Hey Wedns! You're coming to school with me, right?" The smaller teen tilted their head, narrowing their eyes. It made Enid laugh, the way their body language mimicked the very birds that flew around the forest canopy.
"A mortal school? You're taking me there? Mistress Enid, I didn't know you could be so cruel." Enid shivered at the look she was getting, the small smile, the manic delight barely contained in beady eyes of the raven. The late wolf huffed, shaking her head to distract herself from the name that Wednesday insisted on calling her, despite being told to just call her by her name.
"Er- Yeah, I go to Nevermore and the term is starting in a few weeks." Enid swore the look of delight vanished, making her stomach twist with an uncomfortable guilt.
"I've heard stories of Nevermore, my mother insisted I go to that place to earn a mortal education." It was muttered, a comment alike the brief mentions of home that Enid heard from the demon along their few months together.
"Great! I'm sure Principal Weems can get you enrolled!" Wednesday rolled her eyes, sighing and sitting on Enid's bed, watching the girl run around her room, picking up small things to start her packing.
"Must I Mistress?"
"I mean, If we didn't want anyone to be suspicious of you, yeah." Enid felt eyes boring into her and she looked, frowning at the look of annoyance on the demon's face.
"Very well, as you request Enid."

"Hey Willa, I wanted to talk to you about something..." The attic was dark, musty and uncomfortable, the small form sitting on the floor, surrounded by candles and holding a make shift pendulum of sorts. It was odd, but it wasn't Enid's business.
"Is it important? I'm contacting mi familia to tell them of our arrangements." Enid tilted her head a bit and smiled, a small laugh rising from her chest.
"I Guess... I wanted to admit that I'm..." Enid paused, biting her lip and taking a breath. Wednesday was understanding, in their weirdly morbid way, and they never seemed to use specific pronouns, so it would be fine to just talk about this. Right?
"Enid." The word was stressed, a hint of both concern and Annoyance in their tone.
"I'm Trans!" Enid felt her heart stop at the rush of words that fell from her mouth. Wednesday looked up at Enid and nodded, a soft smile forming on their face.
"And I use any pronouns offered, It matters not." Wednesday stood up, careful to avoid the still alight candles as they took Enid's hand, pressing a small kiss to her knuckles, smirking at the look of panic on her face.
"You are still my mistress." Enid felt tears in her eyes and she moved without thinking, wrapping the small demon in a tight embrace. A gasp of hot air was by her ear, making her twitch, but the resistance of the smaller body relaxed into defeat.
"Thank you so much Wednesday, you're amazing." Enid gave a squeeze before pulling away and rushing downstairs to her room, not wanting to make Wednesday even more uncomfortable. Unfortunately, she couldn't stop them from looking at her tears. Despite the panic of making their mistress upset, there was only a happy relief in their bond, which pleased the raven greatly, making them smile in the dark attic.

"Enid, you are not taking that thing with you!" Enid frowned at her mom, standing at the car with suitcases already in the trunk. Esther was supposed to take her to the airport, she frowned and felt a whine form in her throat.
"They have a name! They're my friend too, come on mom you won't have to deal with us for an entire school year! Just take us to the airport, please?"
Esther remained unfazed, despite being terrified she flared at both her daughter and the unmovable goth at her shoulder. She was definitely Smaller, but behind the human facade of a small girl, there was something wrong, something truly not alive. It was powerful, too powerful. It felt sickening, evil, it was not human, nor was it an outcast. Esther didn't want to be near it, even if she'd be blessed with safety for an entire school term.
"Get in the car and drive of your own freewill, or I may have to make you." Monotone warnings made Esther shudder, so she stopped, looking away from the two and exposing her neck in submission to the small goth. She got in the car's driver's seat, missing the cruel smile that formed on the goth's face, as well as the comment they whispered into Enid's ear.
"Did you see that mistress? It was as if she was requesting I feed from her." Enid moved away immediately, gently hitting Wednesday's shoulder.
"Ew no! Absolutely not!"
"Very well Enid. Come now, you mustn't be late to your adolescent prison." Wednesday grabbed Enid's hand, pulling her into the backseat behind Esther so they could go to the airport. They didn't know how much they'd come to despise Airports later though.
