The first morning the Addams arrived, Wednesday was closed off, quiet, apparently embarrassed by their family's appearance at the school. Especially when they went onto the cafeteria hall's stage, standing alongside Weems and waving jovially to their little hiding spot in the shadows of the hall.
Wednesday felt embarrassed, looking away from their family atop the stage, Fiddling with the collar of their uniform and unbuttoning it, having taken their blazer off to hopefully avoid the heat overtaking their body.
"Hey Addams, you good?" Yoko slid into the seat beside them, smirking at the demon's blushing of embarrassment. Face red and temperature rising, they continued to take off their uniform, grumbling to themselves about the annoyance of having a father with Fire as a power. He was considered the lord of Wrath after all, but not many mortals knew of the Addams' titles.
"I'm merely becoming used to the heat my father radiates. I'm sure you'll learn of it soon, Tanaka." Wednesday downplayed their discomfort, surprised that the mortals couldn't feel the shift of temperature. But as they looked around the cafeteria, they were proven wrong. Many students has removed their jackets and blazers, some even opening their shirts. Well, perhaps their father was quite hot, as the mortals around the cafeteria kept saying.
Enid choked after Wednesday spoke, putting down her bite of yogurt parfait as she turned to her roommate. "D- Did you just call your dad hot?"
Wednesday blinked, an eyebrow raising as they looked at her, eyes portraying confusion.
"I do not understand the thermology of Hot, or Attractive." They explained, frowning slightly at Enid.
"I merely meant that my father's presence, is known to burn a mortal alive if he's within an area for too long." Wednesday continued, looking at the panicked expression on Enid's face.
"Whoa, Addams! You're mom is such a milf!" Yoko perked up, tired and quite bored.
Wednesday turned sharply, glaring at Yoko and nodding in self satisfaction at the vampire's hesitation to keep talking.
A piercing squeal rose from the microphone as Weems approached it on stage and gently tapped it while adjusting it to her height.
"Hello Students and faculty of Nevermore! I've called this morning assembly to inform everyone of the new staff members of our school, Morticia and Gomez Addams, who are both Nevermore Alumni. You may not have heard of the Addams, and may wonder of their powers, but that doesn't matter. Their knowledge is suitable to teach you all in their preferred studies, And should you like to you can sign up for demonic studies and demonic history, both taught by Mr. Addams. Unfortunately, due to an accident in the greenhouse Mrs. Addams will be taking on the mantle of botany professor as Thornhill is recovering."
Wednesday groaned as the rest of the students cheered, the entire student body becoming fans of the Addams parents almost instantly, but Enid was still overwhelmed by their presence and Wednesday merely wanted to avoid them during classes. Pray to Satan their family would respect their privacy.

Wednesday rose early in the morning, the moon shining among the still evening town. Thing accompanied them, resting on their shoulder as they traveled to the town to search through the police files. When one came to town, one must always do research of the criminals around, they had to eat properly after all.
"Keep watch, stay for the day and follow the town sheriff home, I wish to search the house once you know the location." Wednesday allowed Thing to climb down their leg, their coffin shaped backpack ready with their supplies for breaking and entering. They slipped on gloves as they continued deeper into the police station, not caring if they were caught on the cameras. They could easily erase it if that was the case, and they unlocked any filing cabinets they found, riffling through files until something caught their interest.
They pulled it out, opening the file of their father in one of his first murders among the mortal plain. They hummed, a soft smile on their face as they read it. They kept searching afterwards, slipping a phone from their bag and feeling thankful for such modern pieces of technology for once in their life. One thing was for sure, phones were excellent for taking pictures. Soon, they returned to their room and left Thing to hide, bag full of interesting case files and fresh kills to provide enough sustainance for the next few days. Perhaps soon, Enid would allow them to teach her to hunt properly, just as Ravens did with their young wolves.
