This was supposed to be a normal boring day filled with meets, agravain complaining and training but after an ambush at the valley of the fallen kings and a rock fall cuts off Merlin from Arthur he is forced to head back to Camelot and send out a search party but the next morning Merlin shows up muddy and does something unexpected..

2. It's the little things

"hes alive" i wanted to confert the Physician but not willing to lie. "At least the last of I saw of him he was alive."

"Gather a search party and search the woods, don't miss a single inche."

Gaus walked away looking as if he believed Merlin was already dead, I couldn't blame him. I had felt like I failed him, but almost felt betrayed. How could Merlin hind something like this from me after I became king, I understand when I was prince but did he have so little faith in our friendship.

As people around me hastened to do as ordered I set my sights on the map on the table. Merlin where are you?

Morganas pov

I watched the fire I had lit, why did it have to this useless servant instead of a competent assassin. No matter, at least I can create a distraction to Arthur for the time being. Prohapts indefinitely.

I encanted the spell and watched as the filmora uncurled itself "I take it you have never met a filmora before?" as it hissed at Merlin I got a sick satisfaction by the fear in merlins eyes, though he tried to hide it behind anger.

"Now my friend I called you from you depths for a good reason" the filmora stuck it's head out and waited, I took my dagger and cut off one of the seven heads. Merlin and I watched and the small head regrew and hissed together once more.

"The filmoras a creatures of dark magic, even if you cut off their heads you can not kill them, another will just grow in its place. In the days of the old religion they were reveried by the high priestess as they gave them the power to control people's mind."

I started stocking towards Merlin holding the head so he could see it clearly as I got close.

"The filmoras will suck the life out of you, everything that makes you Merlin will be gone. In ita place there will be one thought, one thought that will grow until it's consumed you completely."

This alone would be worth calling the creature forward, just the thought of never having to deal with the servants sharp tongue and disrespectful wit would be reason enough.

"One thought that will be your life work, you will not be able to rest until it's done. And that one thought is simple."

I paused for a long time smiling a sinister smile before saying

"you must kiss aruther Pendragon until he kisses you back."

With one quick move I shoved the snake into the back of his head, not enjoying the sound as much as I imagined.

He passed out from the pain, body weight fully on the chains. I called to agravaine to have him be the one to find the servant boy on search. i smiled to myself again

"and agravaine, make sure he was covered in mud."
