Chapter 2
Ryoga Interrupts/ Orgin of the Red Cat Gang
Ranma ran out the Tendo Household and as he chases after the members of the Red Cat Gang he bumps into Ryoga
"Ranma! Stop right there! Today is the day I will defeat you and Akane will become my…"He is cut off by Ranma "What are you talking about?! Our fight was set up for the day before yesterday! Where on earth have you been? You probably got lost again didn't you Ryoga?"Ranma asked Ryoga."Well I don't have time for this right now…I'm in a big hurry today so we can finish this later" Ranma told Ryoga.
"No excuses! Prepare to lose,Ranma!" He said before rushing in to punch Ranma who easily avoided the attack and countered with a punch of his own and they began fighting until Akane ran out of the house and they stopped
"Ranma! Where is your father?" Akane asked Ranma "I lost him,thanks to this idiot here!" He said glaring at Ryoga "Thanks to you,they kidnapped Pop and got away! What are you going to do about this!?" He said glaring at Ryoga. "Ehhh…?" Ryoga said as he looked clueless "Is that true, Akane?" She nodded
"I understand…I'll help you in your search for him, too!" Ryoga exclaimed as he ran off the other direction "Ryoga wait…that's not the right" Akane said but it was too late and Ryoga had run off. "Well he won't be back for a while" she says sighing "So what do we do now Ranma?" She looked at him expectantly.
"They went running off towards the school so we should start there" he said starting to walk towards it on their way they stopped at the Cat Café to see if Cologne might know something about the Red Cat Gang.
"Nihao Ranma! You come see Shampoo?"
The Chinese Amazon girl said as she went over to hug Ranma which caused Akane to glare at him "Uh no we're actually looking for the old hag have you seen her?" he said, pushing away Shampoo "You were looking for me Son-in-law?" The old woman said coming from behind the counter "Pop's been kidnapped by the Red Cats" Ranma told her
"What!? The Akanekodan!" She said surprised. "Do you know anything about this Red Cat Gang that's running around?" Ranma asked Cologne "Well I may be wrong but…"
"If you know anything at all,please tell us" Akane pleaded "Alright" the old woman nodded "Once long ago there,existed an occult sect that worshiped a ghostly cat as a god. They were called the Akanekodan, or as you called them, The Red Cat Gang."
"But why is that group here now,kidnapped people left and right?" Ranma asked.
"Hrmm…I'm not too sure about this…but they couldn't be that evil sect must have died ages ago"
"But things are quite odd around here now…and everything seems to be the work of this Red Cat Gang" Akane stated
"Is that so? Well, in that case if the Akanekodan is back and gathering people now…" she is then interrupted as two people wearing cat masks come out of nowhere
"Who the hell are you!?" Ranma yells at them "Where is the man called Mousse!" One of them yelled "If you look for Mousse he out on delivery" Shampoo answered
"You there are you really from the Akanekodan?" Cologne asked one of them
"Wha-!? You old crone! You know about us?" The Red Cat member said surprised
"And what if I do?" The old woman said
"Our plans must remain unhindered! We couldn't get Mousse but Lord Yasha will be pleased if we silence you…Seize her!"
"Oh no you dont!" Ranma said getting in between and kicking beating them pretty easily.
"Who is this person? They weren't on the list Lord Yasha gave us! Dammit! Retreat!" The two Red Cat members left out the door dropping a key "Ah the School Key!" One of them said going to pick it up "Not so fast!" Ranma said as he kicked the Red Cat member and took the key "Dammit!" The Red Cat members looked at him and ran out the door but were stopped by Shampoo and Akane.
"Now tell us why are you kidnapping people" Ranma said interrogating them
"Hrmf as if we'd tell you…" the Red Cat member said smugly.
"Oh is that so? I can help with that" Ranma said cracking his knuckles
"Okay,okay! We're kidnapping people to gather them in order to help us build our future world, their lives will be spent in the service of the Ghost Cat King,After he has returned to our midst that is!"
"So that's why you only wanted strong people?" Ranma asked the Red Cat member.
"Exactly! Once our power is reinforced with ours, we shall be invincible! First we'll brainwash them and then they'll become our expendable frontline soldiers! The Red Cat member laughed
"Its lights out for you!" Ranma said as he knocked out both of them "Can you tell us more about the Red Cat Gang now Cologne?" Ranma asked the old woman
"From what I've been able to gather it seems their first basic plan is to conquer the world,all in the name of the Ghost Cat King,second long ago there existed a magical artifact known as the Star Crystal,it had the power to grant wishes,but an ugly conflict rose around it among those who wanted to possess it,one of them a cat monster eventually gained control over it and used its power to turn himself into the Cat Ghost King and his plan was based purely on fear and oppression."
Ranma was surprised "Tell us more about what happened back then"
"Well at first people were enslaved by the Cat Ghost King and were cast into you might say the pits of a living hell, then, a lone man appeared a master of the highest forms of martial arts, and then as if he was imbued with the power of a god…fought against the Cat Ghost King and eventually emerged victorious…then forced the soul of the Cat Ghost King into the infernal reigions where it was permanently sealed,now a certain stone marker is all that-" She was interrupted by Ranma
"Wait! Tell me more about that Star Crystal you mentioned…what became of it?" He wanted to know more about the Crystal.
"In order to prevent further misuse of the crystal…its power was divided into three sacred treasures,called,The Peach Gem, Sakura Sword and Forest Mirror. After they were created they were supposedly sealed away forever."
Ranma closes his eyes "Hmm…A magical Star Crystal…grants any wish…" He thinks about the possibilities and how it could remove his curse "Oh Son-in-law forget about that for now! If the the Akanekodan is truly intending to resurrected the Cat Ghost King then we must intervene quickly!"
Ranma nodded "Right! We can't allow them to revive the Cat Ghost King…but what can we do to prevent it?"
"We may not know where their hideout is but they will need the Star Crystal's power in order to resurrect the Cat Ghost King. So it's really quite simple…go search the world and find the three sacred treasures before they do"
"Alright then!" Ranma said with determination, Akane laughed
"For as someone as afraid of cats as you are Ranma…you sure sound enthusiastic" Akane told him
"Shut up!" He said embarrassed.
"We'd better go check the school now Ranma" Akane told him and as they were about to leave Shampoo shouted "Wait! I come with you!" This surprised both Ranma and Akane but they both agreed as the three of them headed towards Furinkan High.

A/N: to those that have played the game you'll notice that I changed a few things in the game you have to chase around the Red Cat members in order to get the key to unlock the school gates and the school is locked at the beginning and I don't see why they couldn't just jump over the gates considering they're capable of doing that,so I rewrote that part of the story so they didn't have to chase the Red Cat members which is what leads to the first Dungeon in the game (oddly enough its a bunch of construction tunes that lead underground?)
