"Hey! How was the movie?" Mason asked cheerily. Liam was a horrible person. He didn't know why Mason cared to even be friends with him. He clearly violates people on the regular, violently and now, apparently, sexually too.

"It was alright. I tried to kiss Theo" Liam blurted out, not caring how crazy he sounded.

"Whoa! Li, what- how- why did- NO!"

"What do you mean no?!

"Liam! I told you to hang out with him! Not mack on him the first time you're alone-"

"It wasn't the first time we were alone" Liam reminded him.

"You know what I mean! The first time you're alone together while you're having an identity crisis! It's not a good look!"

"What do you mean" Liam asked, completely oblivious.

"Are you kidding?! Liam. He knows you're straight. He knows you are fresh out of a breakup. You have seen each other be extremely vulnerable. He probably thinks you're experimenting! He went through a lot from what it sounds like, and he is definitely not some dude you can just experiment with because you're getting over Hayden or confused about your sexuality! You have got to apologize. Like now!" Mason warned Liam about this type of thing years ago. He assured Liam that homo and hetero relationships weren't all that different. Relationships are relationships.

"Oh my god! Mase- I didn't know- I wasn't trying-"

"Li, I know. But you have to let him know."

"Thanks, Mase."

"Come on. Pick up" Liam tried. He knew he wasn't telepathic, but he hoped sending positive energy out would at least get him an answered phone call.

'The number that you have dial-'

Liam cut off the sound of the answering machine. It had been over two hours. Liam had called at least nine times. He wasn't trying to be needy. He wanted to give Theo his space, but he also didn't want Theo to think he was some kind of heathen.

Hey. Not that you don't have a right to be mad, but I just hope I didn't ruin our friendship -L

Hey... I really didn't mean to do that -L

I'm sooo sorry to keep bothering you... ( O~O,)

I hope you know how deeply sorry I am. If you still want to talk to me, nothing like that will ever happen again -L

Well... goodnight I guess... sorry for being a garbage friend -L

These were the last texts that Theo read that night. Theo wasn't exactly mad. Not anymore at least. At first, he was. Theo was furious. He knew Liam was being weird for a reason and he wouldn't tell him. Then it made sense. Theo was a trusted friend who happened to be a prostitute. Liam obviously wanted to experiment with him because Theo was experienced. He knew Theo wouldn't tell anyone and that he was no newbie when it came to helping people lose their virginity, even if it would be partial virginity.

Theo then started hearing his phone buzz ferociously. For the first hour, Theo was mad, and he just looked at his phone. He watched the calls, and the texts pour in. Liam was being pathetic. Why couldn't he leave Theo alone? By the time the second hour was over, and Theo had time to take a shower and throw his clothes in the laundry, his phone had six new messages and three missed calls. He rolled his eyes. This kid is really something else.

Theo eventually, rounding the third hour, realized he wasn't mad at Liam. He was madder at the fact that Liam seemed like he had planned it. Almost like a... date? But he never explicitly called it that and then acted weirder when Theo paid for stuff. Maybe he was trying to be the gentleman? Like... Did Theo steal his thunder? Theo sighed. Now he was going to have to text Liam back.

Stupid kid. He's the dangerous kind. The infuriatingly innocent, too good for this world type that you can never get mad at. Just like Brett was... No! Theo shook his head, hoping the motion would make him erase the thoughts completely. Brett is a psycho. Liam's... just an idiot. About thirty minutes passed since he got his last texts for the night from Liam, and he's mulled over his possible response since he was calmer and more rational. Man, he really was a sucker for pain and this... This was going to kill him.

You're not a garbage friend (v.v)

You're just... having a hard time right now

And it's ok

Goodnight Liam -T

Liam is on the verge of having a breakdown. He has been trying to call and text Theo for hours. He even tried calling Corey and seeing if he would help. He 'refused'. He 'wouldn't be a part of this,

and neither would Mason'. Corey didn't know Liam's best friend very well if he truly believed that. Mason was a terrible gossip and if this was 'Liam's gay awakening', he was 'going to be here for it'. Every time his phone buzzed, Liam got more and more anxious. It wasn't Theo. Never Theo. Liam had really fucked things up.

Finally, he was about to fall asleep. He hadn't been texting Mason for quite some time and now he'd given up on Theo. He was plugging his phone in and checking his work schedule for the next few days when he saw a notification with Theo's name pop up. A sigh of relief washed over Liam. No matter the response, things were no longer up in the air between them. Now they were going to either continue to be friends or just be two people that each other knew in passing.

Oh, THANK GOD! Liam could almost cry when he read the four, simple, back-to-back texts from Theo. Maybe all he needed was to calm down. Maybe Mason was right, and he should listen to him more... nope. It was better to put it all out there. Liam would hurt sometimes, but at least he knew where he stood. It's better to know than not know. Now, Liam knew. He knew there was something there with Theo. Maybe not a relationship, but definitely something he cared about. Something he wanted to hold onto.
