Malcolm

I hurried down a hospital corridor.

I had Thea in my arms.

I pushed hospital room doors open with my back.

"Help! Help in here, please!" I called.

A Doctor walked in.

I laid her down on the exam table.

"You have to help her. Please!" I begged.

I was holding Thea's hand in mine.

"She's lost a lot of blood." She pointed out.

She was passed out.

"I need a crash cart and a trauma team in here stat!" The Doctor ordered.

She put her stethoscope to Thea's chest.

"Let her go."

"What?"

"I need you to let her go. So, I can do my job."

I didn't release her hand.

"Now leave!"

I looked up at Thea's face.

She had her red eyeshadow on her eyelids.

Thea had blood caked on her chin.

"The trauma team will be in here any second and the last thing she needs right now is a circus." The Doctor pointed out.

"Go!"

I hesitated.

I released her hand.

"Go."

I was walking out of the room.

The trauma team walked in the other door.

Elisa

We got Speedy changed into a hospital gown.

We had ran a test to find out her blood type.

It was O Negative.

Speedy's real name is Thea Queen.

Thea Queen's brother, Oliver Queen was also O Negative.

Oliver

I headed back to the Bunker.

I got changed.

Lance

I was handcuffed to a desk in the SCPD Precinct.

I was arrested for punching Pike.

The TV was on the news.

"Today's Prison riot at Iron Heights has left the City on edge."

"Hey, Lopez. Lopez."

Lopez paused.

"What happened at the, uh- At the Prison?"

"Uh... You punched out a Lieutenant."

She put her hands in her pockets.

"Yeah. I mean, after that."

Lopez put her hands on her hips.

"Did they keep those Inmates from escaping?" I questioned.

"There was too many of them. And one of them- Darhk- He hurt one of them."

"What? What? Who- Who'd he hurt?"

I was concerned it was a fellow Officer.

"The Vigilantes. The Archer in Red. Speedy."

I stared at her.

"Supposedly, he hurt her real bad."

"I- Um... Listen. Uh... I got to get out of here, alright?" I inquired.

"It's- It's real important. So, please get me, uh- See if you can get Lieutenant Pike on the phone."

I forced a smile.

"He's out supervising the manhunt for the escaped Prisoners." Lopez informed.

I stood up.

"You got to get him on the phone, alright?" I questioned.

"Because I got to talk to him. Because I got to get out of here just for an hour. I'm gonna surrender myself back in, alright? That's fine. But just- Just get Lieutenant Pike on the phone. Please."

She nodded her head.

Lopez walked off to get Pike on the phone.

I was worried about Thea.

Darhk knew I treated her like my daughter after Robert died.

Oliver

Laurel, Felicity, and Dig walked down the hospital corridor.

Felicity hugged me.

I hugged her back.

I broke the hug.

"Thea- Is she-"

"Uh... Thea's in surgery. Um... I don't know."

Dig put a hand to his forehand.

"I've tried calling Lance too. So..."

I glanced over at Laurel.

I looked back at Felicity.

"What happened with Darhk?" I questioned.

"He's in the wind. Along with 50 or so Inmates." Laurel answered.

I shut my eyes.

"And Andy." Dig added.

I looked over at him.

Dig clasped his hands together in front of his face.

He lowered his hands.

"You warned me and I didn't listen. I'll never be able to forgive myself."

I placed a hand on Dig's shoulder.

A tear rolled down his cheek.

Felicity

I looked down the hospital corridor.

A team of nurses were rolling a hospital bed.

It was Thea.

"Oh, my God." I commented.

Oliver

Laurel was leaning against the wall.

Felicity was facing the other way.

Dig was faced towards me.

A team of nurses rolled Thea down the hospital corridor in a hospital bed.

He turned around.

Her eyes were closed.

"Just out of recovery. She's gonna be fine." The Doctor informed.

I closed my eyes.

I looked down at the floor.

Tears clouded Felicity's eyes.

"She's a strong woman. Your friend."

"The strongest." She agreed.

"She's been asking for you." She told us.

Laurel, Felicity, and Dig followed the Doctor into Thea's hospital room.

I opened my eyes.

I composed myself.

I followed after them.

Felicity smiled at Thea.

She smiled back at her.

"Hi." Thea greeted.

"Hey yourself." Laurel told her.

"Did Darhk-"

"Don't worry about him." Felicity told Thea.

"Just worry about getting better, okay?" She questioned her.

"It's not exactly how I wanted my last night to go."

"What are you talking about?" Dig inquired.

I had my arms crossed.

"It's a long story. I was gonna give up being the Archer in Red. Speedy."

Laurel was confused.

"But I realized I didn't know how I could because going out there and fighting alongside you guys,"

He smiled.

"It's what makes me feel alive inside..."

Laurel smiled.

"And I love you guys so much."

"We love you." Felicity told her.

"We love you." Laurel told Thea.

"We love you." Dig told her.

Thea and me smiled at each other.

"We should probably let you get some rest." Laurel suggested.

Thea nodded her head.

She closed her eyes.

Thea opened her eyes.

"We'll be right outside, okay?" Felicity inquired.

"Okay."

Laurel, Dig, and Felicity walked out.

"You should probably get some rest too." Thea told me.

"No chance."

She smiled at me.

"I'm gonna stay right here."

"There's... Something in my left pouch." Thea informed.

I looked over at the chair.

"Will you bring it to me?" She questioned.

"Yeah."

I walked over to the chair.

I picked Thea's red Kevlar Archer suit up.

I grabbed her wallet out of her left pouch.

"May I?"

"Yeah."

I opened it.

I pulled a picture of Thea and me out.

It was from before I got on the Gambit.

She was about 11.

I bit my lip.

I shut it.

"You kept this?" I questioned.

"Yeah."

Thea took it from me.

She sniffled.

"Just a little reminder of when things were simpler for us. The way we used to be."

Thea looked up at me.

"I'm really glad that you found Felicity. And I hope you find your way back to her. And, Ollie, I know that I am not the Hero of your life... But you will always be mine. You go above and beyond as a big brother and a leader."

"Why are you telling me this? Why now?" I inquired.

"Because tonight it was just a reminder that... Anything can happen. Which is why I need you to promise me something."

I sat next to Thea in her hospital bed.

She sighed.

"Anything."

"Please... Please don't let me be the last Archer in red. That way apart of me will always be out there with you."

"I promise."

Thea smiled at me.

She sighed.

"The Doctor told me in the ICU. The bullet went all the way down to my spine."

I stared at Thea.

"It paralyzed me from the waist down. Um... I'm never gonna walk again."

I looked away.

I shook my head.

Felicity

Laurel walked down the hallway.

"I just got off the phone with Dad. He's on his way. I- I told him that she's doing fine." She informed.

Oliver

I hit the call button when Thea started spasming.

Felicity

"Out of the way!" The female Doctor ordered.

Laurel moved out of her way.

The female Doctor and team of nurses rushed into Thea's hospital room.

Oliver

The Doctor and the trauma team rushed in.

"She's seizing." A male announced when he saw her.

A male was trying to hold Thea's head still.

"Embolism. I need 5,000 units of Heparin Bolus!" She ordered.

Laurel, Felicity, and Dig rushed in.

She was spasming as a male put Heparin Bolus in her IV.

"What happened?" Felicity inquired.

"Uh... I- I don't know. She was fine."

Laurel covered her mouth with her hand.

Thea flatlined.

"Paddles!" The Doctor ordered.

"Charging. 200." A male told her.

He charged two paddles.

"Clear?" The male inquired.

"Go." Another male told him.

"Clear." She told the male.

He shocked her.

Thea's body flopped up and then back down.

"Nothing."

The Doctor got in the hospital bed.

She started pressing down on her chest.

"Okay. Let's bag her." A female ordered.

She put a mask with a bag connected to it over Thea's mouth and nose.

"Open up her airway."

"Come on." The Doctor told her.

Dig ran a hand over his head.

"Come on." She told Thea.

She covered her mouth with her hand again.

I pulled Laurel into my side.

"Logs. 30%."

"Come on!" The Doctor yelled at her.

"She's close."

Tears gathered in Felicity's eyes.

"Come on, Thea." I told Thea.

Robert

Thea appeared.

Moira and me glanced at each other.

"And here I thought Oliver would land himself here first. By doing something idiotic."

"Mom."

Moira and Thea hugged.

"You have to know I didn't hate you."

"I knew."

"You did?"

"Yeah."

"I made a huge mistake."

"What? Can you fix it?"

"I gave Malcolm multiple chances to be a Dad again. And he let me down every time."

"Because he's never been your Dad, Sweetheart."

"You gotta go back, Thea." I told her.

"I don't wanna lose you guys again."

"The hardest thing a parent can do is let their child go. Especially their youngest. We're doing it because we love you. And because Ollie needs you."

"We're gonna be here when it's your time to die. It's not now."

"What really happened, Dad?"

"If I tell you the truth, will you leave?"

"Yes."

"I shot myself in the head. So, that Oliver could survive. And I'd make that same decision for you too."

Thea vanished.

Oliver

Thea wasn't responding despite the Doctor pushing on her chest.

"No response." The female informed.

She stopped pushing on her chest.

She set the bag on the pillow.

The Doctor moved back.

"Time of-"

Thea gasped.

The monitor was beeping.

"She must have some Guardian Angels from Heaven watching over her."

"Robert. Moira. They let her go again."

"They made the hardest sacrifice. Again."

"I know what happened, Ollie."

"What are you talking about?"

"I refused to leave until he told me the truth. Cause I know you were never going to."

"Who?"

"Dad."

"And what truth is that?"

"How he really died. He didn't die when the Gambit went down."

"Thea, Ollie told everybody that's what happened to Robert. I think you're hallucinating." Laurel told her.

"I saw both of them, okay?! I'm not crazy!"

"I have heard of people who have near death experiences seeing dead loved ones. It helps them to know that there are people waiting for them."

"What did Robert tell you, Thea?"

I gave her a look.

"I think that's a secret Ollie and me are gonna take to our graves."

"What really happened to your father?"

I didn't answer.

Lance walked in.

Thea and him hugged.

"I'm so glad to see you're okay."

"Thanks to my Hero of a brother and my Guardian Angels."

"Robert and Moira did whatever they had to to protect their children. Even if it meant letting them go."

"Oh, my God." Laurel commented.

I sighed.

"You saw both of your parents die in front of you?"

"Yeah."

"No wonder why you're so cold." Dig joked.

I laughed.

"Darhk was aiming for Laurel. I didn't have a choice. It's been drilled into me my whole life. You protect your family. No matter the risk without question."

"I know."
