I put my trunk down on the floor and sat down on my bed, waiting for Harry to come back. It's already been twelve minutes and thirty-seven seconds since Harry left to go talk to the Minister. Before you get all worked up about how I'm overprotective of Harry, let me just say, you're right. In my defense, I am older than him by two minutes, at least that's what Remus told me a few years before I left.

"Harry," I said as Harry walked in carrying Hedwig, "Hedwig? When did you get here"

"The Minister said eight minutes before we got here."

"Smart owl, that one"

"Yeah. Amelia, before we were interrupted I asked you how long you've been on the Knight Bus."

"Harry I-"

"And don't lie to me, Amelia"

"Harry," I started tearing up, "My parents a-are dead. Voldemort k-killed them. I was with m-my godfather when they were killed so, th-thank Merlin, I'm alive. My godfather was killed a few years after that, so I was stranded-"

"And the Knight Bus picked you up. Took you in as family. That's why you were there, that's why you were making the beds!"

"Yep"

"Amelia, why is this just coming up now"

"Harry, we should go down, get some dinner. You're probably starving, and I can tell you I'm famished!" I got up and ran out of the room, eager to avoid the question that I just can't seem to find an excuse for.

Harry just caught up with me as I stepped into the dining-hall. As we walked in together I saw Ron and Hermione fighting about something.

"Just keep you're ferocious beast away from Scabbers!" Ron screamed at Hermione.

"Crookshanks can't help it, Ron! He's a cat, cats prey on rats, like Scabbers!" Hermione argued back.

"Looks like Mummy and Daddy are fighting again, Harry." I said loud enough for Harry, Ron, and Hermione to hear me. "I'm scared!"

"Hi, Amelia, Harry," Hermione said rolling her eyes. But I could tell, she was delighted to see us, "When did you guys get here? Why are you here?"

"Well, we got here about thirty minutes ago, and I'm here 'cause I hate my relatives."

You sure about that? I thought in my head, holding back tears.

"Typical." Ron said, knowing that that's typically the reason why anything is wrong with Harry.

Hermione rolled her eyes "What about you, Amelia?"

"Harry was on the Knight Bus, I was on the Knight Bus, I just decided to go with him. 'Cause why not?"

"The Knight Bus? What's that?" Hermione asked

"An emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard." I answered as soon as she finished her sentence.

"Oh, okay. Have you all got your stuff for school this year? Ron and I already went shopping."

"Yeah I got all my books, how about you, Amelia?"

"Yeah I got everything."

"Well that's great! Now Hermione and I can go back to our little discussion."

"Oh, Ronald Weasley, you seriously kill me!" Hermione said, storming off.

"Let it go Ron. It's not her fault." I said sitting down at the table as Mr. Weasley went to talk to Harry about something.
