As Ron finished telling me about his trip to Egypt, and Fred and George occasionally made jokes, Harry came back with Hermione following him.
"Hey, Amelia and Ron, come here; I have something to tell you," Harry called.
Ron and I ran into another room where Harry and Hermione were standing. "What's up, Harry?" Ron asked.
"You know how Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban?"
"Yeah," I answered
"Well, apparently he escaped to kill me."
"WHAT?!" I exclaimed. I know he betrayed my parents to Voldemort, but I remember him, vividly. He's one of the very few people who knows I'm a Potter; he wouldn't kill me or Harry, would he?
"Amelia! Shhhhhh!" Hermione whispered sharply.
"I'm sorry, it's just, wasn't he ou-your parents' best friend?"
"Yes, but he did sell them out to Voldemort and tell him their location. Does that sound like a best friend to you?"
"I-I guess not," I muttered
"Damn, Harry, you've got fans and stalkers now; all I got are annoying siblings!" Ron said impressed. Hermione and I glared at him
"Seriously, Ron, have you ever taken anything seriously once in your life?" Hermione asked, sounding irritated.
"Ask Fred and George that, I'm sure you'll love their answers," Ron answered smirking.
Hermione and I walked away, rolling our eyes at the boys as they started giggling.

Mr. Weasley mentioned the night before that the Ministry would provide transportation to King's Cross Station, but he didn't mention flying cars. Due to last year's experience with the Weasley's old flying car, I'm terrified to even step near one, but Hermione pushed me in impatiently. The amount of luggage this girl brought is insane. She's taking on like a billion different subjects, this year. I don't know how she'll do it, but she's Hermione Granger, she can do anything.
I can't wait to see Leo, I thought, staring out the window of the flying car, I wonder what he was up to this summer, as he always does something exotic-
"Hey, Amelia, I wonder who's going to be our new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor this year?" Ron asked interrupting my thoughts.
"Yeah, after the Quirrel and Lockhart, Dumbledore probably put a lot of thought into the new DADA teacher."
Harry said, "I hope this one isn't psychotic, like the last two."

Unfortunately, we were the last ones on the Hogwarts Express. Harry, Hermione, and Ron went to go find an open compartment, while I went to go find Leo.
Finally, I found him sitting in a compartment with Anthony Goldstein from Hufflepuff, and Hannah Abbott from Ravenclaw.
"Hey, Anthony. Hey Hannah. Can I just borrow Leo for a sec? Thanks!" I said out of breath grabbing Leo by the arm and dragging him back to our compartment.
"Well, hello to you too, Leo! How are you doing?" Leo said mimicking me, "Oh, thank you for asking Amelia, I'm doing swell, really!"
"Hahaha, you're a funny one." I replied sarcastically.
After what seemed like ages, I finally found our compartment, but I was surprised to see we weren't the only ones in it.
"Who's that?" I asked, pointing to a man who seemed to be sleeping under his jacket.
"That's R.J. Lupin." Hermione replied (how does she know everything!) "I reckon he'll be our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher."
My jaw dropped. R.J Lupin! As in Remus John Lupin, my godfather, who I ran away from when I was seven! Oh, this is just going to be a merry year, isn't it?
"You alright there, Ames?" Leo said looking at me.
"Yeah," I quickly snapped out of it, "It's just, I think I've heard of him before. It's fine, everything's fine."
"Okay," Leo replied, skeptically "So, Hermione, you were saying how he will be our DADA professor this year, no?"
"Yeah, I've heard about him too, Amelia, he does seem like a good fit for a Professor."
"Mhm." I agreed while sitting down opposite Harry. With Leo to my left.

Leo's POV
A few hours have passed by and the train has started to get cooler.
"Man, it's freezing, in here." I said as the train broke down. Ron shrieked, looking at the window he was previously leaning on.
"What is it, Ron-" Hermione asked Ron, just as she saw crystals forming on the window, "How is that possible? It's just the beginning of September!"
"Uh, guys!" Amelia said, scarcely. I turned to see what was up with her when I see her staring at a dark hooded figure. Just being near the figure made me feel like all the happiness inside me was being drained away. "What's that!" She said as the figure came closer to her and Harry. It seemed to be drinking them! Professor Lupin seemed to have waken up because he got up and exclaimed "Expecto Patronam!" and the figure fled.
"Amelia!" I exclaimed as I ran to her side. She was unconscious, and so was Harry.
"Eat this," Professor Lupin gave Hermione, Ron, and me a piece of chocolate, "It helps."
We ate our chocolate and laid down Amelia and Harry in their seats.
"What was that?" I asked Lupin.
"That was a dementor, wasn't it?" Hermione asked Lupin, "I read about them in a book. But what are they doing here on the Hogwarts Express? They're guards of Azkaban."
"They're looking for Sirius Black." Lupin sighed. Amelia shifted in her sleep, slowly waking up. Why did the dementor target her? I hope she'll be okay. I thought pushing away my tears she's my best friend, I can't lose her.
"Will Amelia and Harry wake up?" I asked Lupin, unable to go on without an answer.
"They will wake up. Luckily I woke up in time to stop the dementor before Amelia and Harry got hurt."
