S2 E3 AU Vanished
AU stories for NCIS episodes. Each is independent from all the others since this is based on the possibility of parallel universes and multiple timelines…. many, many of them. Later on some may seem to follow something that happened in an earlier AU episode story but it's probably coincidence unless I say otherwise in the beginning. Again, these are AU scenes/stories which means a character may die in one story and be alive in the next one.
This is a short alternate universe story/scene for season 2, episode 3 Vanished

"What's McGee doing out there?"
"Scanning the field with a magnetometer," Tony told Kate.
"Let me guess. Abby?"
Tony sighed, "Her every wish is his command."
"She promised to show him her new tattoo," Kate revealed to a clearly interested DiNozzo. "Wait til he finds out it's on her ankle."
Tony entered the lab looking for Abby.
"Hey Tony," she greeted him. "What can I do for you?"
"I came to see the tattoo you promised to show McGee."
"Tony, no. I promised Tim, not you."
"But Kate said it's on your ankle. Why do you care who sees it?"
Abby smiled. "Oh that one. Sure, you can see that one."
And that's when Tony knew Abby had two new tattoos and he couldn't wait to tell Kate.
