S2 E15 AU Caught On Tape - Another episode I don't like.
AU stories for NCIS episodes. Each is independent from all the others since this is based on the possibility of parallel universes and multiple timelines…. many, many of them. Later on some may seem to follow something that happened in an earlier AU episode story but it's probably coincidence unless I say otherwise in the beginning. Again, these are AU scenes/stories which means a character may die in one story and be alive in the next one. Or it might be a missing scene.
This is a short alternate universe story/scene for season 2, episode 15, Caught On Tape

"Dinozzo," Gibbs called out.
Tony came right over. "Yeah Boss."
"You didn't try very hard to warn McGee about the poison ivy."
Tony half smiled. "Sure, I did. It's not my fault he didn't like me telling him."
Gibbs looked at Tony, his problem child, and said, "No, no you didn't. He was already down because you and Kate made him carry everything. That was after he'd helped Ducky, which you didn't do."
"But boss, helping Ducky is Palmer's job."
"You tried to tell McGee when he was already defensive after all the crap he'd taken."
"I suppose. What does that have to do with anything?"
Gibbs glared at him. "He apologized for his part in your little argument, didn't he?"
Tony thought for a second and smiled. "Yeah he did."
Gibbs was still glaring at him. "What are you going to do next time?"
"I'm…. I'm going to try harder to tell him."
Gibbs sighed. "Don't let him do something that will hurt him. Spit it out if he's arguing with you. McGee takes a lot of crap from you," he told him, and added, "and from Kate. If he goes and decks you someday I might have to look the other way."
Tony laughed. "Probie?" Then he sobered. "No, he'd never try that."
