AUTHOR'S NOTES
This particular Caillou Gets Grounded story is based on the grounded video where characters plagiarize off the internet to get an essay or report done, and they end up getting an automatic failing grade on the assignment. However, this story actually has that moral lesson of not plagiarizing words right off of the Internet or any other source.
Posted as Part 42 of Caillou Gets Grounded on my AO3 page, this is where Caillou plagiarizes off of Wikipedia to get his American Revolution essay done, and he eventually has to face harsh consequences from the teacher, the principal, and his daddy Boris.
REMEMBER: This oarody/satire skit story is for comedy purposes only, and this is not meant to be taken seriously. I also do not own the characters, and all rights go the owners.
More notes and the additional moral lesson are at the end of this story.

Caillou Plagiarizes on his American Revolution Essay
by ktlnboyle
One day, Miss Martin assigned her class to write an essay about the American Revolution. The class was free to use whatever resources they had, such as the textbooks, the internet, or their notes. When class was dismissed, Caillou, one of her students, went home to see what he could do. However, he had trouble reading and understanding the textbooks and he didn't have enough notes to complete the assignment. So, to quickly get the essay done, he decided to copy and paste words right off the Wikipedia website instead of using the internet to put the essay in his own words. Due to what he has done, the essay was finished within three minutes instead of the normal 60 minutes to an hour and thirty minutes.
When Caillou presented his essay to Miss Martin the next day, Miss Martin immediately wanted to know exactly where Caillou got all that information from. He lied, saying that he got it from his notes. However, Miss Martin was not buying that lie and any of the further excuses he was going to give.
"Let me tell you something right now." Miss Martin said to Caillou. "You could have gotten a straight A plus and a one hundred percent if you did not copy and paste words from Wikipedia. I'm sorry to say this, but you have failed the essay for plagiarism. Go to the principal's office now." Caillou later went to the principal's office, where he was given both a "lovely" lecture and a suspension from school for three days. When Caillou got home, he was grounded by his daddy Boris for two times his suspension length, which meant that he was grounded for six days. In addition, he had his computer taken away and he was forced to redo the entire essay using only the textbooks so that it would not be easy to plagiarize from. He later forced Caillou into his room where he was to get working on the new and improved essay immediately.

CONCLUSION AND THE MORAL OF THE STORY
So, yes. Caillou got grounded for six days for what he has done and the failing grade he has recieved. Additionally, he was forced to use the textbooks and his notes instead of the computer for the revamped version of the essay his daddy Boris forced him to do. The moral of the story? NEVER PLAGIARIZE OFF THE INTERNET OR ANY OTHER SOURCE; ALWAYS PUT THINGS IN YOUR OWN WORDS REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Whether it be a book report, summary, essay, or a straight up novelization or adaptation of a popular media piece, NEVER EVER EVER PLAGIARIZE. If it were school, you could end up failing the entire course just for plagiarism depending on what grade you are in. So, yeah. Don't plagiarize. I even had to learn this the hard way multiple times.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my story about Caillou plagiarizing on his American Revolution essay.
